I survived when everyone else in my colony died. I survived when all the chozo died. I survived against Kraid, I survive against Ridly. I defeated huge life sucking monsters. I destroyed the mastermind behind the greatest crime orginazion in the world. I survived the evolved forms of the beasts. I killed their queen. I survived the burning fires of Norfar, the Mazy waters of Maridia. The hostile inhabitants of Brinstar. The critters of Crateria. I survived the paranormals in the wrecked ship. I survived in the heart of Toron self. There I splayed an even greater powered mother brain. I escaped an exploding planet. But all my bravery was in vain, for this time I did not survive, this time, I was lost in time. Gone is my name in a search engine, gone, is art my fans once drew, gone is the tales they once, told, gone are my games. Gone is my entire universe. And now I die, not by a great monster, or boiling lava, but by nothing, by the nothing that surrounds me, by the nothing that I am. I was once known as Samus Aran…..

But perhaps she may be revived, for in the dark loneliness, of space a voice whispers,

"The Metroid is……..alive"
