Fan Fiction ❯ I want to go home! ❯ Magic and a Martins girl ( Chapter 2 )
[ P - Pre-Teen ]
Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter (not for lack of trying though) and last time I checked, the only girl at Saint martins who I owned was me.

<o0@0o>
last time:-
Both sets of hands clasped around it, fingers locking unwillingly together as the ground jolted and shifted out from underneath them as the floor dropped out and spiralled away with a last yell of "Sirius!" seeping through their subconscious before they hit the ground.
There was a scream from beside them- or was that underneath them- and then someone- a girl- was yelling and kicking before, finally they blacked out.
<o0@0o>
Severus woke up with a start as something loud rang out from besides him. He sat up startled and looked about in confusion. He was pretty sure that there was no where in Hogwarts that looked like this.
A girls voice caught his attention.
"Who are you?"
He looked to the corner of the room, where it had come from. There was a girl there, she didn't look like much certainly. By the looks of it then she was probably about the same age as them, maybe a bit older judging by her height, she was easily as tall as him.
She wasn't fat exactly, but it wasn't like she couldn't stand to lose a bit of weight, she was just a bit chubby really, although she was tall enough to get away with it. Not unattractive, she did have her good features but she wouldn't stand out in a crowd unless she wanted to. There was most certainly room for an improvement.
The glare directed at him from dark mahogany eyes, almost black, finally made him answer her.
"Severus Snape. Where is this place and who are you?" He snapped out, now it was his turn to ask questions.
"I'm Rebecca E Burford and these are the huts at Saint Martins Girls school, they're out of bounds normally so it's a good thing that the two of you landed here. Not like it'd matter if you didn't considering this is all a bad dream and you two are not real."
"Not real! What do you mean not real? Of course I'm real you lunatic."
"Lunatic! I completely resent that you know. I would only be a lunatic if you were real. Which evidently you're not. Or at least you're not if you really are Severus Snape and Sirius Black."
"You're mad. Who else would I be if I'm not Severus Snape?"
"Well," Becci tipped he head to one side, he index finger pressed against he lips in thought and a slight frown marring her features, she shifted her weight to the other hip before carrying on."
"You could always be a product of my sleep induced and over imaginative mind, no doubt that I could conjure up a good dream double of you, god knows I write enough Harry Potter fanfiction."
"Harry Potter wha-"
"Although you could of course just be two of the boys from Solihul school, in which case I don't know why you would want to piss around with me, but you better fuck off right now before I go and get Mrs Parker, or worse, Mr Delaney, I'm sure he could tell me who you are." She fixed the stunned black haired boy with a hard glare before walking passed him and grabbing his upper arm dragging him towards the door and unlocking it with her free hand.

"Let go! I don't have any idea what you are talking about but I am certainly not a dream or a boy from what ever the name of that school was. I don't know who Mr Delaney of Mrs Parker are but I do know that I am Severus Snape."
Becci gave him a doubtful look but pulled the door closed anyway, relocked it and let go of Severus, folding her arms across her chest.
"Prove it."
"Prove it?"
"Yes."
"Are you made, how am I supposed to prove it?"
"If you are really Severus Snape then I am sure that you can think of a way."
"Fine." he sneered at her and she flinched back in surprise, it was lucky that he didn't see really as he was digging in the pockets of his robes at the time for anything that he could use as 'proof'.
In the end, she sighed and took pity on him.
"Okay fine, just; answer my questions and I'll believe you, lets start off easy shall we. What's your middle name?"
"My middle name is Alex."
"Alex." She repeated raising an eyebrow in question.
"Severus. Alexander. Snape. Got it."
"Yeah, fine, whatever." She turned her gaze to the window as she thought. She had to come up with a better question, one that only Severus would know but that nobody could make up, difficult.
It couldn't be one that you would only know the answer to unless this boy was a real Harry Potter fanatic and had read the books as closely as her. It was doubtful that any friend of people like Nat Cip and Loz and Indigo and people would be that much of a fan but still she couldn't take that chance. The boy was smart enough to know that Alexander Severus was the name of a roman emperor in any case.
"Okay then," she wasn't sure that any such question existed but she could always give it a go. "What was..." She trailed off still thinking, maybe she could do completely the opposite. She knew these boys, if you asked them a question such as 'what mobile phone do you have' or 'what do you think of Keira Knightly in that last movie' then they wouldn't be able to resist answering, they were just to popular and up to date to keep their big fat mouths shut on such matters. She had him licked.
"So I went to the movies last weekend with Katie Eade and Steph Jensen and we saw that new movie, the grudge, it was real scary. Have you seen it yet or what. I know that Loz and Bez and co. wanted to go see it."
Severus looked at her like she was an absolute maniac and she grinned to herself.
"You're mad, you're stark raving bonkers." Becci whooped happily and flung her arms around him.
"Oh my God. You really are Severus Snape. Cast a spell. No, pinch me to make sure I'm not dreaming first and then cast a spell."
She pulled away from him, and held out her arm for a pinch. He reached out uncertainly and pinched her forearm hard making her wrench back.
"Ow that hurt." She smiled softly at him, pushing silver rimmed square glasses back up her nose and rubbing her arm. "But at least that means you're real. Cast a spell."
Severus, still too dumbstruck to do any different, pulled out his wand and turned to Sirius' prone form.
"Engorgio." Sirius hand swelled quickly, growing almost triple in side. He heard Becci squeal behind him, half shock half excitement. "I hope you know how to turn him back Severus because I damn well don't."
He nodded, long land, slightly greasy hair falling in front of his eyes. He brushed it back and cast the counter curse, watching as Sirius' hand deflated with a disappointed look, before turning back to the stunned girl.
"That was so cool. Lizzy is going to love you."
"Lizzy?"
"Oh right, Liz is my cousin, she's two years younger than me but she's a huge tom boy. She a great laugh, a right little slytherin." Severus noticed the grin as she said that and gave her a weary look.
"Anyway, she's practically the muggle equivalent of the dark lord."
"Muggle, your cousin is a muggle?"
"Of course, everybody here is."
"So you're a muggle?"
She's raised an eyebrow in question, hands on her hips, "Got a problem with that?"
He gave her a dark look but didn't answer, it didn't seem like the wisest thing to do at the moment to make enemies against muggles when he was in a world of them.
"You have to put that grudge behind you, Sev-"
"Sev?"
"-Just because, we can't use magic doesn't mean that we're as weak and pathetic as everyone thinks we are. Just you wait, you'll have a blast here. An I'll find a way to get you home I promise."
She pulled her phone out of her pocket and Severus gave it a curious glance that she ignored. "I've got to go, I'm late for registration, but I'll be back later. Don't leave here, that's very important, this place is out of bounds so nobody should come in but keep the door locked anyway. keep as quiet as you can and don't use any magic else I'll come back at break and confiscate your wands. Explain everything to Sirius and make sure that he keeps out of trouble, got it. I'll be back later and I'll say something so that you can recognise my voice. Don't let anyone else in unless they say that they know me, go it?"
Severus gave her a wary look, but soon sighed and nodded his agreement. She smiled back at him and unlocked the door, slipping out carefully and doing up the pocket with her phone and iPod in as she went.
He waited for a few moments, lost in thought and staring at her retreating back, before moving over to the door and locking it in the way he had seen her do earlier.
Taking the place that Becci had been sitting in when he had first woken up, under the fan heater in the gap between two of the windows, he drew his knees up against him and wrapped his arms around them, rocking back and forwards and watching the other prone boy.
Black eyes soon became unfocused as he lost himself in thought.
Becci gave him a doubtful look but pulled the door closed anyway, relocked it and let go of Severus, folding her arms across her chest.
