I'll Love You For Eternity
"Why don't you ever laugh at my jokes?" cried Beastboy. "I make a huge effort to think of them all yet you just brush me aside like I'm nothing!! I thought you liked me. I mean after that time I went through your mirror you said..." "Forget that Beastboy. To me you are nothing but an annoying interference who interupts my meditation and messes up my emotions" said Raven in a monotone voice, her eyes blank. "Your jokes aren't funny. I never liked you and what's more I never will." Raven stood up from the couch and glided away, her blue cloak hiding feelings.
Bestboy gasped, his eyes tearfilled. "That... she... she's so mean" he whispered. Robin entered the main room and saw Beastboy. "Hey what happened?" he asked in a concerned voice. Beastboy thought for a bit
'Robin doesn't tolerate meanness on his team. If I told on Raven she could be evicted. Yet... Would my consience let me? I doubt it'
Beastboy sighed. "Nothing is wrong" he said to Robin and left quickly to go to his room.
Beastboy burst into his room. The walls were decorated with tonnes of anime posters and posters of mopeds. His window overlooked the sea. He had green carpet and a quiltcover to match. On his bed there lay a green book with a gold lock on it.
Beastboy sat on his bed and unlocked the book with a silver key that hung around his neck on a silver chain. He opened the book and flicked through until he got to the nearest blank page and started to write
Dear D
Raven was real mean to me today. She said I'm not funny. Me? Beastboy? Not funny! Its unheard of!! And then she just glides of in her usual way! I mean come on!!
Yet
That doesn't stop me liking her. Even though she's creepy and stuff. Luckly no on will ever read this so I can say what I want.
Beastboy paused for a moment to think
'Do I like Raven? More than I originally thought? No no! She's creepy and wierd and all gothey. But then she has the most beautiful violet eyes that seem to draw you in to their watchfull gaze...Beastboy stop thinking this!! Even if you loved her she'd never love you back so get used to it!!'
He sighed and closed and locked his diary, putting it on his bedside cabinet. Beastboy glanced at the clock. It read 4.00pm. He lay back, closed his eyes and drifted off into a deep slumber
The cloaked, amethyst eyed figure sat alone in her room. Raven looked around. On the far wall there was her bookshelves, lined with dusty old books that she hadn't looked at in years. They held too many bad memories.. But no matter what, Raven could always remember what the woman who sold her the oldest book in her collection said as she handed Raven the book
'There will be a time when all will change. Nothing will be like you are used to. Darkness will consume as you finally let go. Let go of all that emotion you kept in for so long. The world will plunder into utter chaos. What's more you'll faint and never awaken again. It is written so it will procede to become so..Theres nothing you can do about it. It's all your fault..
Raven shook her head trying to eliminate the thought
"Get out of my head" she muttered.
'All will change''
"Get out" Raven said louder.
'Nothing will be like your used to. Darkness will consume...'
"No.. No It won't I wont let it." Ravens voice was getting louder but she tried to stay in control
'Let go of all that emotion you've kept in for so long'
"I have no emotion. I can't have any emotion. Its impossible" whispered Raven
'The world will plunder into utter chaos'
Raven's eyes widened as she started to tremble uncontrolably
'Never wake up again...'
Raven clasped her head in her hands
'It will be your fault
Your fault
All your fault'
"No.. I...Please leave me alone.. leave me alone!!" Raven screamed. "I won't believe you!!"
'But it's happening as we speak. Your losing control'
"I'm not!! Please stop!!" cried Raven
Tears poured down her face as walls smashed around her, lamp posts outside flew around and smashed windows.
Beastboy woke up to the sound of chaos. His window was smashed and his room was in chaos. He jumped out of bed and ran into the hallway. "Whats going on?!" he yelled over the sound of smashing windows.
A spike of glass flew into Beastboys face causing blood to flow.
Robin ran up the hallway. Starfire and Cyborg were out. Starfire had dragged Cyborg out shopping with her.
"Whats going on?" yelled Robin to Beastboy.
"No idea!" replyed Beastboy. "But it's coming from Ravens room."
All of a sudden Ravens bedroom door flew off its hinges straight into a wall. I'm going for help shouted Robin, running out of the building.
Raven was levitating, her violet eyes wide, her body captured in a black sphere of energy.
"AZERATH METRION ZINTHOS!!" she yelled trying to regain control.
"RAVEN!!" screamed Beastboy
He morphed into an elephant and charged into Ravens room through the chaos.
"Beastboy?!" cried Raven in a shocked voice.
"Calm down Raven!" yelled Beastboy. "They you will regain control"
"I can't!!" cried Raven. "I'm gonna die!!"
Beastboy morphed into an eagle and flew into the storm. "I'm coming Raven!"
He smashed through Ravens energy shield and caught her on his wings. Ravens eyes closed and her mind shut down.
Beastboy flew out from her room and from the whole building that was gradually smashing into the sea. He landed on top of a near by water tower and turned human again. Raven rolled off his back and lay still. Too still.
"Raven wake up!" yelled Beastboy. He shook her shoulder but she made no movement.
'Surely she didn't mean it when she said she was gonna die', thought Beastboy suddenly. He gasped. 'No she can't die it's not right. No she's not dead nor is she gonna die,' Beastboy tried to convince himself.
Just then Starfire flew up onto the water tower, carrying Cyborg. Robin came up on a grappling hook. "What happened?!!" cried Starfire running up to Beastboy and Raven. "And where is the tower??!!" In the sea" said Beastboy. "In that what?!" gasped Cyborg. "Who did it? Was it Slade?" "I already said it was Raven" said Robin. "But Raven ain't bad!" protested Cyborg. "Maybe she was but never said. Maybe she was hiding in her room, hiding secrets planning out deaths everyday" said Robin.
"No she didn't she isn't bad!" cried Beastboy. "She isn't evil. She's.... she's just Raven." The word Raven came out in a whisper as he gazed at the lavender haired, cloaked girl.
Robin bent down next to Beastboy and took hold of Ravens wrist. He waited a few seconds and removed it.
"Theres no pulse" said Robin. "I'm afraid she's gone."
Beastboy was the first to react
"NO!!" screamed Beastboy. "She can't be gone!! She's not dead!!" Tears poured from his eyes.
Starfire burst into sobs. "If this happned on Tameran it would be customary to place a bunch of glorga flowers onto the dead one." She took a tiny bunch of purple flowers, delicate in looks, with five petals on each flower from her pocket and placed them in Ravens hair.
Cyborg sighed sadly, a tear falling from his one human eye. He patted Raven on the shoulder. "I suppose it was inevitable" he said quietly. "Keeping all that emotion in can't have been good for her."
A sad look came to Robins face. "Raven" he said quietly. He swallowed and took a deep breath as he tried to lift up Raven but Beastboy pulled her back down again. "Get off her!!" he cried. "But we have to bur..". started Robin. "How can you be so heartless!!" yelled Beastboy. He leaped up and stood, face to face with Robin, looking pleadingly into his mask. "Just give me a few hours to say goodbye" he begged. Robin thought for a second then replyed. "OK Beastboy a few more hours.."
Starfire shed more tears and Robin guided her away from the sad scene. "I can not fly" sobbed Starfire. "I do not feel happiness." Robin hugged her. "There's always a ladder on the sides of these buildings" "And out tower is gone" Starfire continued. "And everything is not glorious." Robin, Starfire and Cyborg left the tower to leave Beastboy and Raven alone.
Beastboy stared down at Ravens still body. His fingers gently stroked her stone cold, pale face. "I can't beleive it" he whispered. "There has to be a mistake. Maybe your not Raven. Maybe your an imposter." But Beastboy knew that he was kidding himself. He knew that Raven had gone. Forever.
"I never had time to say how I felt about you" muttered Beastboy. "At least you can't hate me when I say how much I love and care for you Raven. And you can't kill me when I say how I have loved you for ages now." He sighed deeply, knowingly. He knew that Raven was gone now. And there was nothing he could do about it...He bent down and planted a gentle kiss on Ravens lips, a tear falling from his eyes and landing in Ravens purple hair. Beastboy stood back up again and spoke these words
"Goodbye my sweet Raven. I have always loved you and I will continue to love you for eternity."
What do you think? Should Raven somehow come back to life? Or not? Did you like? Constructive critism and compliments accepted. Sorry about any bad grammer. Please revew :D
