Immortal's Dark Kiss

Part One Of The Chronicles Of The Damned

Light and Darkness

What is darkness? Is it death? Is it loneliness? Is it despair? The answer, it seems, can be a number of things, but in the end it is only one thing…darkness. No matter what you associate to darkness, greed, hatred, destruction, etc. It will always be darkness. Just like light can be happiness, peace, and hope, but it will always be light.

They say, that even in the depths of all darkness, there is a light shining brightly and in all light…there is a darkness waiting, biding its time, but for what? To bring everything to its inevitable end?

In truth, or in theory really, light conquers the darkness with its purity, but it can be the other way around as well. For light is weak and sooner or later all light fades leaving only darkness in its place. All light, no matter how strong, will eventually become weak and flicker slowly away until there is nothing but darkness in its wake.

That is the truth.

Everything that everyone holds dear to their hearts eventually turns back into the darkness from where they came. People are born from darkness and turn into light as their life takes form, but as time goes on and stops for no one, they all grew old and their light dims then finally extinguishes.

But…there are those who still live, in a matter of speaking, but their light has already died out. They walk the earth over plaguing others with their curse, stealing others from their light and casting them into darkness whether it be by death or turning them.

Those without light, without love, without feeling.

Those who live in nothing, but the darkness. Those who have forgotten their lights…their hearts, and know nothing but darkness.

~*~*~

Bones of the dead lay at my feet

Tears of blood as I weep

Demonic chains have me bound

I'm a fallen angel without a crown

Death before my liquid eyes

Darkness comes so the dead may rise

A black bird sings a painful song

I close my eyes and the pain is gone

I have died over thousand times for you…
