Innocence: the Black Bunny, Chapter 1

Munemori and I have been living together for a few months now. We've pretty much settled into a routine. He usually goes out at night at the same time I do. I go out to perform in different places with my band and he usually comes to watch backstage or goes out and does his own thing. I haven't asked him about it because it wouldn't be fair, afterall; I still have some secrets of my own.

During the day, I often have practices so Munemori is at home alone. He told me he doesn't mind, but I have to wonder sometimes. He goes out during the day too but mostly just for some air he says.

Anyways, so I'm not home a lot, unless it's night. That's generally the time I use to spend with Munemori. Neither of us are really pleased that we spend so much time apart, but it's something we've adapted to. Besides, we know what we would do if we were home together, and that would upset the neighbours. I realized how far along Munemori's come with those kinds of issues since I hurt him.

Well, like I said, it's been a few months since I've been living with Munemori. The two of us get visited, but not as often because we're almost never home at the same time. But when we get the chance, we go and visit Nori and Soseki. Of course, we have to call first because you never know what you'll walk in on at their place.

So one day, after I came home from practice, it was about three o'clock and I had a few hours with Munemori until the two of us were going out again for another gig of mine. So far the money has been really good and it's helped the two of us a lot.

Anyhow, so when I came home, Munemori greeted me as always before he handed me a package.

"It was delivered today. I didn't open it." He said and handed me the box. The box was about the size of a cake box and I wondered who it was from. The package didn't say.

So I opened it, and inside were some CDs. I recognized which ones they were. They were brand new ones that had never been opened, but they were the same ones that Yuichi had bought me a few years ago.

I looked inside to see if there was a note or any other indication of who had sent these and why, but found none.

"That's odd..." I said.

"Who would send these?" Munemori asked me. He took the CDs and looked them over. "This is weird, Zeshin. Do you know anyone that would send these to you?" He looked at me questioningly and I wished I could answer him, but I had no clue.

Yuichi...

The thought crossed my mind, but it wasn't possible because he didn't know where I was. Hell, even I hadn't known where I was at first.

"No I don't. It's so weird...I had these same CDs when I was younger." In total, there were about four CDs that still had the original packaging on them.

"Hm...That is weird. But...let's put them away for now. We finally have a few hours alone, I don't want to waste them worrying about some CDs." Munemori said. He took the package from my hands and threw it on the couch, then pulled me in for a kiss.

His lips parted and I deepened the kiss, exploring well known territory with my tongue and allowing him access to mine.

I led him to the bedroom and the two of us collapsed on the bed, with me on top and him underneath, kissing me hungrily. We needed this immensely. We hadn't been together in a week, both of us being too busy and exhausted.

I slid my hands up his shirt and caressed his chest. I pulled my lips away from his, long enough to remove our shirts, then reclaimed his mouth.

One of my hands trailed down to his pants and I could feel his erection through the fabric. I pulled his pants and boxers down and off his legs, then continued my kisses down his neck and to his chest. I heard him moan lightly as I trailed down his chest and stopped at his erection.

"Please, Zeshin." I obeyed and took his erection into my mouth, sucking it and enjoying the sounds of pleasure he was making.

Before he came too close to the edge, I pulled away chuckling softly at the whimper he made. I removed my own pants and boxers then reached over to the nightstand for the lube.

I grabbed the tube and squirted some of it on my fingers, inserting one of them inside Munemori. He squirmed slightly, he never really did like it when I stretched him, but it was necessary. He was tight no matter how many times I made love to him. It always hurt him at first, but he never complained.

Once I had three fingers inside him, I thrust them a few times and removed them. I quickly lubed my erection and pushed the tip and Munemori's entrance.

"You ready, Mune?" I asked. He nodded and I thrust inside him swiftly and waited for him to tell me I can continue without hurting him. When he bucked his hips against me, I knew he was ready and slowly started to move inside him. Munemori continued to buck against me until I held his hips still and began thrusting inside him at a different angle. I knew I hit his prostate when his back arched and he moaned loudly. I sped up my thrusts, hitting the same spot every time, and each one harder and faster than the last until I sensed his climax approaching quickly and I wrapped my fingers around his erection, stroking it to the rhythm of my thrusts until he came. I followed a few strokes later and I collapsed on top of him, both of us panting and covered with a thin layer of sweat and Munemori's seed.

"We need a shower..." Munemori said once he caught his breath. I looked at him and grinned. He caught my hint and shoved me off and out of him playfully.

"I meant a real shower Zeshin." Munemori grinned and got up, heading to the bathroom.

"Wait for me!" I whined. I was still sitting on the bed.

"No, not if we expect to get clean today Zeshin. I'll only be a few minutes." Then he hurried to the bathroom before I could follow him.

Fifteen minutes later, he came out of the bathroom, clothed and drying his hair with a black towel that matched pretty much everything in the apartment minus the kitchen and bathroom. So the two of us had a thing for black, sue us.

But if I had to choose a time when Munemori looked more beautiful then ever, it would be when he comes out of the shower like he is now. The cleanliness about him made him glow almost. Although his normally bright blue hair was a few shades darker than usual, it made no difference.

"Shower's all yours Zeshin. I'm going to get something to eat." Then he threw the towel in to the laundry basket we used for dirty clothes and such, and headed to the kitchen. The outfit he chose fit him well. He had loose black jeans that hugged his hips because he was so thin and it was hard to find long enough pants that weren't big waist-wise, and a dark grey long sleeve sweater that had sleeves at his fingertips. One thing he didn't like to wear very often, was socks. He was almost always barefoot and only owned a few pairs of socks, that he pretty much only wore during fall and winter when it was too cold to wear sandals outside.

I grabbed some clothes of my own, just a pair of dark blue jeans matching blue shirt and white socks, then headed to the bathroom for my shower.

After I emerged from the bathroom, I made my way to the kitchen where I found Munemori eating some soup and salad.

"You need something more than just soup and salad, Mune. You need more energy. Try eating a sandwich even." I grinned at him, knowing that he was annoyed at my nagging, but that was the reason I was doing it and he knew that.

"I will later. It's not dinner yet, so I'll eat more then. Who's making it, you or me?" Munemori asked me.

"Actually," I said, walking up behind him and bending enough to drape my arms around his shoulders. "I thought we could go out for once." I whispered in his ear. Munemori shivered, then freed himself of my grasp and turned to face me.

"Do you mean it?" Munemori asked. I could tell that he was hopeful.

"Of course. I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it." I said. I kissed him gently on the lips and pulled back, helping Munemori from his chair. "Come on, let's get going. It's almost dinner." It was only four o'clock, but it would probably take a while to find somewhere decent to take Munemori. No fast food restaurants, because neither of us liked those. No restaurants that required reservations because most of those also had that stupid jacket and tie rule. So I figured we'd just go to a normal restaurant. We had until eight so we could take our time. I didn't really know the different places because even though I'd lived in the town for a few years, I only went out once or twice. I resolved to ask Munemori if he knew of any places.

"I hate to ask, but do you-"

"Know of any places we could go?" Munemori asked, grinning at me.

"Yeah." I replied.

"Of course. Come on, I'll drive." Munemori dragged me out to the car and the two of us started driving.

When I looked in the rear view mirror, I could have sworn that I saw someone following us, but it was a popular way to go, so I thought nothing of it.

We finally reached a restaurant, and Munemori easily found a parking spot since it was only about fifteen minutes after four and the normal crowd hadn't shown up yet.

"Let's hurry so we get a good table." Munemori said. The two of us headed into the restaurant and I had my arm around Munemori as a casual thing that I have a habit of doing. The person that showed us our table gave us a disgusted look but I just pulled Munemori closer and the two of us sat down across from each other in a two person booth. After the person left, I started laughing at them and Munemori half-joined me. He was a little nervous about the whole thing.

When the waitress came, she noticed that our hands had somehow got close to each other in a not-so-friendly way. This was a different waitress and instead of frowning, she smiled. I could see that it wasn't forced either, it was a real smile showing that she truly didn't mind Munemori and I.

She handed us the menus and got us our drinks then left us to choose what we wanted to eat.

While I was looking at my menu, I saw someone with bright, shocking red hair and someone with green hair. I froze. Munemori asked me what was wrong.

"Nothing." I looked at him when I spoke and smiled what I hoped was a reassuring smile then looked back to where I saw the couple, but they weren't there. I shook my head in an attempt to clear it and looked back at the menu. I caught Munemori's worried glance but said nothing.

When the waitress came back, the two of us told her what we wanted and she gave us our drinks then left.

"What's bothering you, Zeshin?" Munemori asked me.

"Nothing, don't worry about it. I just thought I saw something." Even though I had been living with Munemori for a while now, I hadn't told him everything about my past yet. I figured, I probably never would. It was too hard to even think about it. I had chosen to try and block it from my mind completely, but it seemed every time I tried, something would show up to remind me. First it was the CDs, then it was the couple I saw a few minutes before. It was driving me insane and I knew I would burst soon. But I couldn't burden Munemori with my problems, so I vowed to keep silent.

"Zeshin, you can't keep things to yourself like this. It'll only hurt you in the end. You should at least trust me enough to tell me part of it." Munemori pleaded.

"Don't worry Mune, it's nothing." I said. Then I turned my head and looked out the window. I didn't want to be mean to Munemori or anything, I just didn't feel like talking to him about my past. But the thing is, it's hard to do anything without hurting Munemori's feelings.

"I see..." Munemori said. Then he stood up from the table. "I'll be back in a few minutes." He said. Then he headed off to the washrooms.

When the waitress passed by a few seconds later, I grabbed her arm to catch her attention.

"Can I help you?" She asked sweetly.

"Could you watch this table for me? I'll be right back."

"Sure, I'm on a break anyway." She smiled and sat down at the table, pulling out a book to read. I quickly headed to the washrooms and entered quietly.

As I entered, I was met with soft crying coming from the last stall. I looked at the feet and sure enough, the person was wearing sandals. Munemori was crying.

"Mune?" I called out.

"Go away." I heard him whisper harshly. I cringed, this wasn't like him

"Please Mune, what's wrong?"

"I said go away!" He yelled. I ignored him and stormed over to the stall, pulling on it and seeing that it was locked, I crawled underneath the door.

"Don't you listen?!" Munemori said.

"I tend to ignore people when they're crying." I said.

"It would seem that way." Munemori hissed at me.

"Please just tell me what's wrong."

"Why? You won't tell me." Munemori said. I cringed.

"I know. I'm sorry, I want to tell you , but I can't. The thing that's bothering me...is my past and I can't talk about that now. So can you at least tell me part of what's bothering you?" I pleaded.

"...It's you. You're out so often that the two of us never see each other and when we do, all we do is eat and fuck. I can't keep doing that. I need to do more things like what we're doing tonight. Do you know that most of the time, you don't even come home until after midnight so I end up sleeping alone? On those nights, I feel so lonely and far away from you that I end up crying myself to sleep. You don't even notice that there's anything wrong with me." Munemori started crying again and I wrapped him up in an embrace allowing him to cry on my shoulder.

"I'm so sorry Mune. I should have seen it. I was just so caught up in the band that I never saw it. So...if it causes you this much pain, there's only one thing for me to do." I pulled away from Munemori and noted the pained and worried look on his face.

"You're not going to...leave me are you?" He asked. I felt terrible, anyone who would do something like this to a creature so beautiful and caring should suffer.

"No. I'm not. I'm...I'm going to leave the band." I said. Munemori's eyes widened.

"You can't do that! That band is everything to you!" Munemori said.

"I know. But it should be you that's everything to me. So I'm quitting after tonight. They'll have to find someone else."

"I can't let you do that, Zeshin." Munemori had stopped crying and was looking at me seriously. "I don't want you to leave that band because of me."

"Then what do you want me to do?" I asked. He was confusing me.

"Well...couldn't you at least cut most of the practices? I mean, you're gone everyday and every night. Couldn't you at least change it so that you were home during the day?" Munemori asked hopefully. He had a good point.

"You're right. I could do that and I will. Besides, all that I really need to practice, I can practice at home just as easily. But I don't need to do that either." I smiled as Munemori's face brightened when I agreed with him. "Are you ready to go back outside now?" I asked him. And as soon as he nodded, we heard to men come into the bathroom and we could hear them kissing and stumbling on their way to one of the stalls. I recognized one of the voices but I couldn't figure out who it was. I motioned to Munemori, and the two of us got out of the stall just as the couple went into one of the empty ones and the two of us hurried back to our table where the waitress was still sitting reading her book.

"Thanks for watching the table." I said. She smiled and walked back to the kitchen. Munemori and I sat back down.

"I can't believe those two in the bathroom." Munemori said.

"Yeah I know...You'd think they could find somewhere a little less public." I commented. Although...they did seem familiar to me.

"Something wrong, Zeshin?"

"Those two people...they just seemed so familiar." I said.

"Really? Who do they remind you of?"

"Not really sure." I answered. "I really want to know what's taking so long, I'm hungry." I said, trying to change subjects. Munemori noticed and I could tell he was a little hurt by it, but he kept silent.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, guys." The waitress said, she handed us our plates and left.

"Perfect timing." I said, then I dug in, eating my food quickly. Munemori followed at a slower pace.

"Are you coming with me tonight, Mune?" I ask, while waiting for him to finish his food. It's funny, we came all the way out here to eat and he still orders soup and salad.

"If you want me to." He said.

"Of course, why wouldn't I?" I asked. He just shrugged and continued eating. We fell silent for a few minutes, neither thinking of something to say. Finally, Munemori finished his food and the waitress came back. We paid in cash then left. We still hadn't spoken when we got in the car. It was an unusual silence that I disliked. Something didn't feel right about it, but I couldn't think of anything to say other than 'what's wrong?'.

"When do you have to be there, Zeshin?" Munemori asked me. I looked at my watch, it was seven fifteen and I had to be there in half an hour because we started at eight.

"Seven forty-five." I said.

"Alright. We'll stop at home so you can change then. I'm just going to drop you off, I have something to do quickly. But I'll be back to pick you up." Munemori said. He wasn't looking at me and I knew something was bothering him. He was worrying me because even when something bothers him, he's never like this.

"Okay. Thanks Mune." Munemori stopped in front of the apartment building and waited for me to get out. I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, which he didn't respond to, and left the car. As soon as the door was shut, he drove off. I sadly made my way up to the apartment to change.

When I got to my door, there was another package. It was the same size as the other one, so I took it into the apartment with me.

After I got changed, I went into the kitchen where I left the box and opened it. It was a disc-man. But not any disc-man, it was a brand new one, exactly like my old one.

I almost passed out. But then I realized, that if it was from the person that sent me the CDs, then they would have to give me something to play them on and this particular one, was really cheap.

I slowed down my breathing that I hadn't known was rapid, and left the box on the table. I put my shoes on and decided to wait for Munemori in the lobby downstairs.

I ignored the looks I got as people passed through the lobby. I was wearing all black, but the clothing was fairly tight and I had fingerless gloves on. Not to mention I was frowning. Munemori was late and I was going to be if he didn't show up soon.

At twenty to eight, he finally showed up. He looked upset, but I wasn't sure what the reason was and decided not to ask.

"You're late." I said.

"I know. I'm sorry, I got held up at the...where I was." He quickly changed what he was going to say. Apparently I wasn't supposed to know where he went. "Come on, let's get going." We hurried to the car and drove to the building where we were performing.

"You're late!" Tsuki yelled.

"I know, I know." I said. I waved her off and went to find Shiori.

"I'm sorry, Tsuki, it was my fault. I was late and I had the car." Munemori apologized.

"It's alright. We still have ten minutes before we go on."

"What songs are you doing today?" Munemori asked.

"Uh...Well the same ones that we did at the graduation a few months ago. With the exception of 'What's Up'. Zeshin's going to be singing 'Rage Beat' from Gravitation. I don't know why. I think it was Tanosuke's idea. Zeshin needs to sing more. Shiori sings most of the time." Tsuki said.

"I see..." Munemori commented. "Zeshin, are you going to tell them?" He asked me.

"Tell them? Oh...right, after we perform, okay? We don't have time to argue over it right now." I said. Munemori lost his upset expression and smiled. He really was sweet and only wanted to spend more time with me. It was something I was happy to agree to. I only wish I knew where he went...then it would put my mind at ease. To be honest, I worried about him more than anyone else. He was too sweet and I would hate anyone who would take advantage of that. That means...that I hate myself.

"Earth to Zeshin!" Shiori waves her hand in front of my face, trying to get my attention.

"Sorry. What is it?" I asked.

"We're almost ready to go on. What's wrong?"

"I...it's nothing. Don't worry about it." I said. Shiori shrugged and went to tell the others to get ready. Meanwhile, I closed my eyes and tried to relax, thinking about the performance and not about Munemori or the package. Well...I thought about Munemori, but not about his secrets. He always had a way with calming me down in situations like this, but with things the way they were, I doubted that he would come over to relax me.

"Relax." He would say. Just that, then he would rub my shoulders and place gentle kisses on my neck. It calmed me instantly. There was just something soothing about him, I was always relaxed around him. Even if we fought, it was hard to tense up.

"Relax." There was a voice in my ear.

"Mune?" I asked. I felt his hands on my shoulders and his lips on my neck.

"Calm down, Zeshin. You think I'd forget this?" He whispered. I turned around and kissed him. Not roughly or passionately, but gentle and loving.

"What was that for?" He asked me when I pulled away.

"No reason. I just felt like it." I grinned and Mune smiled. "But, I have to talk to you after the show, okay?" I asked seriously. Mune looked worried. "Don't worry, it's nothing like that." Mune nodded and Shiori pulled him away.

"Come on you two, we have to get out there, no time for mushy stuff." Shiori practically shoved me on stage while she waited. Tsuki, Maiko, Tanosuke and Soshu were already set up and waiting. The first song was 'Rage Beat'. It was from Gravitation or something. An awesome song.

'Obieta me tsukide iradatsu omoi uwaki na kaze ni hakisutete...' I always felt different when I sang. No matter what it was, I always felt like I was...almost another person. And just like my bunny, it never reminded me of my brother.

When the concert was finally over, I went backstage and pulled Munemori aside. He was glowing again; he always loved watching me perform.

"What is it Zeshin?"

"I...I got another package when you were out."

"What?" Munemori asked. "What was it this time?"

"A disc-man. Look...there's something I didn't tell you about those CDs earlier. You see-"

"Hey, Zeshin! Great show!" Tanosuke said. He came over and patted me on the back then left.

"Zeshin, let's go somewhere else. You'll just get interrupted here." Mune said. I agreed and the two of us went home.

Tbc...
