~:The True Heart of Compassion:~

Gala: `Ozma,….We experienced life and death together.'
And…yet, so much more. Gala excused himself from the girls' catching-up chatter, and remained lone upon the rooftop. He found himself unable to fight the reminiscing memories of the past. Especially a past conversation between Ozma and he.
Gala: “After performing at the Comedy Club, fighting Gaza for the last time-”
Although, somewhat hazy, Gala immediately became absorbed in the memory.
He had awoken with a frightful start the night he and his companions had spent the night at the Sol Inn. The sudden stir into consciousness startled Ozma.
Ozma: <Gala….>
Ozma noticed Gala's pulse quicken, and him tremble with each gasping breath he took. It was odd. For a headstrong, semi-confident, disciplined Warrior Monk of Biron to be so…confused? Gala sat on the edge of the bed, holding his head in his hands.
Gala: “Ozma. I've witnessed Life. By reviving Genesis Trees, together we've giving Life to those enslaved by the Mist and it's henchmen. Right?”
Ozma: <Yes. Yes,…that is a way to think of it.>
Gala let out a trembling breath. Desperately trying to contain his swelling emotions. Emotions that he never experienced before, bubbling and welling madly within him. Such a burning pressure literally balling within his chest, he found himself not knowing what to do to relieve himself of the horrible demon.
Gala: “And…I…we've experienced Death. Of those lost to the crazed mist-driven seru, and…and of Gaza's recent passing…”
Gaza. The very mention of the man, caused Gala's chest to heave with a breathless gasp. When and why had he developed such an attachment to the fallen warrior? Did the man remind him of master Zopu?...Whom then beget the memory of his father,…or absence there of?
Ozma: <Gala…>
The Ra-Seru glowed a mild, calm blue. A sign of a comforting chuckle.
Ozma: <You've experienced so much. Life, Death, Joy, Sorrow.>
Joy. That made him think of laughter. Yes. The laughter of the happy people of the Comedy Club. He found Joy to be comforting. He liked that emotion. Even when Noa over expressed it. Yet, Sorrow. So much Sorrow.
The Mist. Or what lurked within the mist. It wasn't `Death in Disguise' It was plain Destruction. Destruction of family and friends, of sought after dreams and hopes, of lives in general. Friends…. that subject lingered. In fact,…it stung him suddenly, like an angry wasp. Friends,….Songi. Both went hand-in-hand. Gala felt something trickle from in between his fingertips.
Gala: “Ozma…what is this? What am I feeling? I've never had this feeling before.” He growled fiercely.
Furiously, he sat back onto the bed, burying his head into his knee-hugging arms.
Gala: “Tell me!” he sobbed frightfully with a shudder. “Tell me what this is!”
He shook violently trying to suppress the feeling, before it resurfaced. Not again did he want Vahn and Noa to see him unconfident as before.
Ozma: <….this is `Sorrow', Gala.>
Gala: “…It hurts Ozma. I've never…felt a pain like it.”
Ozma: <I know. But, remember Gala. Don't try and suffer alone.>
Gala lifted his head, and looked to Vahn resting peacefully. He admired his silent courage. Not once did he falter on decisions or let his emotions overcome him. Yet Noa expressed herself, letting her emotions show openly. Was that her weakness? Was it a sign of weakness?
Gala: “Does this mean I'm weak?” He sobbed breathlessly.
Ozma: <Never!...This is an unique part of Existing! This is the reason for Compassion! This is the very reason why you are a Being of Compassion!>
Suddenly, Gala felt a pure joy overcome him. Such as the feeling he received when he and Ozma acted as one force to revive a Genesis tree together. He then regained his former true-self.
Ozma: <…Gala. You must be tired.>
Gala: “…Yes. You're right.”
He laid on his side, observing the others sleep. Just as his eyes lids began to grow heavy, he happened to catch glimpse of a red glimmer from Meta, and Ozma replying with a Morse code of blue pulses. Vahn awoke groggily and covered Meta with his pillow.
Vahn: “Meta,….Tomorrow.” he scowled dronely.
He then noticed Ozma suddenly grow `silent'. However, he didn't notice Gala's gaze.
Vahn: “I got it Ozma. Don't think I didn't.” he chuckled mildly.
And he rolled over on his other side. Meanwhile, Gala looked down at Ozma.
Ozma: <…I remember how you told me a while back you `admired' his silent courage?>
Gala: “…yes.”
Ozma:< Always remember, don't make yourself suffer alone. Always remember, you bear a true heart of compassion.>
Yet, he found himself thinking about Vahn. He was beginning to portray some curious traits. Such as the event at Ratayu; before the frozen lava incident, where Vahn nearly endangered he and the others in a rash attempt to jump the crevasse.
Ozma: <…Vahn,….I'm sorry to say,….worries me sometimes Gala. Meta, Terra, and I are worried about him. We sometimes wonder…>
Ozma glowed a comforting soft blue. Another chuckle, yet, followed by a solemn pause.
Ozma: <Gala,…Vahn has some insecurities. I know this is odd to ask of you, but,…he seems downhearted. And if you and Noa could keep him company. >
Even though Gala thought the question was a bit odd, he drowsily agreed to carry out Ozma's request.
Random Voice: “Master Gala.”
Gala stirred from his reminiscing, blankly eyeing a familiar face.
Gala: “Master Deez.”
He courteously greeted him with an honorable bow. However Master Deez chuckled and gave Gala a hearty pat on the back.
Deez: “I believe it should be me addressing you as `HeadMaster' now.”
Gala gasped at the punctual formality and with trembling hands, accepted a worn letter that Deez presented to him.
Gala: `Being addressed as `HeadMaster' could only mean-'

Gala,
Master Zopu has passed. Died two days after you left-

A heavy emotional weight befell him; unconsciously, he clenched his jaw as he closed his eyes tightly. Although Zopu had been ill, it was such a minor ailment. He had caught a small chill, certainly nothing that was of concern. Vahn had traveled with Tetsu to the monastry to care for Zopu while he and Mei left for Sol, to retrieve Noa. He had promised to stay and help. Gala clutched the letter in his fist.
Master Deez cast an odd questionable look.
Master Deez: “…Gala?”
With a somber bow of his head, he exhaled deeply, and turned away. So many emotions were running throughout his body. Sorrow, anxiety, and confusion; riveting like currents of furious electricity, anger was the one that seemed to be fueling most of `electricy.' And in an angry growl,
Gala: “….Where was Vahn?”
