Mommy

We are always here

You are always there

You try

We live it long

Listen to the wind sing

Carry your voice to us

Your melody rings in my ears

I hold onto the child inside

I see the world turn

I face your open arms

I smile and I run

Grip the hand of the sister I love

Know the darkness is carried away

And that I can be safe

And loved

And held

That you are my savior, in many ways

That my mind isn't as clouded as it was

You are my mommy

I love my mommy

Raven screams and I awaken
