Scott watched Darius vanish up the stairs and smirked lightly.
“You Fool.” He muttered as he shook his head and turned.
He licked his parched lips and walked away from the chair he once sat in, and towards the hallway in which he met Nicole. Upon entering this hallway, he was almost immediately slammed against the wall behind him.
His back collided harshly with the wall as the candle he still held fell to the ground and went out.
The air was knocked out of Scott from the sudden, unexpected impact of the wall. He struggled to stand firmly and regain his natural breathing when he suddenly became aware of a knife to his throat.
“Couldn’t just say hello, could you. Had to make some fancy entrance like beating up a vampire, Eh?” Scott hissed as a chuckle came from the figure whom now stood before him, holding the blade firmly to his throat.
“Oh, come now, Scott. You know how I am…” the voice was female, and the chuckle was cold as she lowered the dagger, then sheathed it, “Long time no see…”
“Cassia.” Scott rubbed his throat, looking down upon a woman before him.
Long red hair cascaded down her back with loose curls. Deep emerald eyes held his gaze firmly.
Cassia did indeed look a lot like Nicole.
It was surprising.
Scott looked at her for a moment, before smirking. He knew exactly what to say to distract her.
“Have you seen Darius lately?”
This question alone had put Cassia’s guard down.
“I beg your par–“ Suddenly, Scott quickly knocked the black from his neck with his hand, and swung his elbow so it would hit her across the face–and knock her off balance.
That it did.
Scott took this as an opportunity. When Cassia stumbled back, Scott tackled her against the wall.
She dropped her dagger with a gasp as she found herself pinned between the wall and Scott.
Suddenly–

Silence.Scott’s mouth was close to Cassia’s neck, his fangs just barely gracing the skin as his breath beat down upon her neck, causing Goosebumps to form.
His hands grasped her arms securely and pinned them to her side.
Cassia closed her eyes, sighing.
“You always do that.” She muttered.
Scott laughed, pulling back to gaze down at her.
“Only because, despite what you claim, Darius is still your weakness.”
Cassia grumbled, and Scott continued to speak.
“But, like I asked–Have you seen Darius lately?”
Cassia went quiet, then shook her head.
“After that little incident–“
“Where you tried to kill him–“ Scott cut in, only for her to interrupt.
“Yes, yes. After that, I haven’t seen him…”
Scott nodded a little, then spoke once again.
“I don’t think you want to.”
Cassia quirked an eyebrow as she looked at him, “Why?” She asked suspiciously.“He’s with his girlfriend right now–You know what’s funny? She looks like you, too.”
Cassia just stared at him, then frowned.
“Let me go, Scott–”
“So you can what? Kill her? I think not.”
They just stared at each other, before she sighed, falling silent.
“I’m gonna be harsh.” Scott said simply in a low voice.
“You screwed up.”
Cassia smirked, “I don’t care.” She said, looking at him, closing her eyes slightly so they were mere slits of green.
“Besides.” She added, “I’m a slayer.”
“Then perhaps you should be going back to them and stop wasting your time here.” Scott growled softly, placing his hands on the back by her head.
Cassia smirked, “Never said I was here for him…”
With that, Cassia wrapped her arms around his neck, before drawing him into a kiss.
Scott blinked, taken aback by this kiss. He didn’t react right away, but after a moment, he closed his eyes and kissed her back.
He held himself there, deepening their kiss–till she broke it gently.
Cassia moved her lips to his neck, kissing it lightly.
Scott kept his eyes closed when she started to kiss his neck, when suddenly, she slipped under his arms–and out of his grasp.
He blinked, opening his eyes and turning his body to face her as she walked backwards down the hall, her deep emerald gaze on him as she watched him. Then she smiled a little before turning–and vanishing down the hall.
When he heard the slamming of a door, he knew she left out the front door.
Scott just watched where she vanished in the shadows, quirking an eyebrow as he raised a hand and scratched the back of his head.
“This is a game to her.” He muttered as he turned to the kitchen to get something to eat.

“And I guess I’m playing.”
