A tired Link flopped on his bed, his body weary and sore from the fight with Ganon. He found it hard to believe he was back at home, back in his own eleven-year-old body, after that long quest of collecting those Spiritual Stones with the Medallions in addition. Good grief. He turned on his stomach and tried to enjoy being back in the welcoming prescence of his home, but it seemed too soon! Why did it feel that he was missing something? No. He was just being paranoid. That's all. Just paranoid. He closed his eyes, hoping sleep would claim him, but he was awoken by a rumbling sound. His eyes shot open, and he sat up in bed, but found he was in the body of a child no longer! He was a man again!

What is going on? he wondered.

Then the answer came to him. Standing right in front of him.

"Glad to see your still healthy and awake, Hero of Time," said Rauru with a grin.

"Well, you were right about my being awake," laughed Link, "I couldn't sleep a wink."

He had to jump when speaking as he was rather surprised to hear his low, masculine, adult voice. Rauru chuckled when he saw this.

"You may be wondering why exactly you are here..." began Rauru, "The truth is, Link, your quest isn't over yet."

Link raised an eyebrow at him to emphasize on just how confused he was.

"Yes, your quest isn't over yet..." said Rauru with a hint of melancholy in his voice, "There is still one thing you must conquer...it is called, 'fanfiction.'"

Link blinked.

"'Fanfiction, sir?" he asked, now more confused than ever.

"Yes, fanfiction. It is the reason I am here to tell you and the reason," he looked down at Link, "You have returned to your adult body. Some of this you should only read if you're...er....mature enough."

Rauru shook his head and held up a hand to stop Link from asking another question.

"Allow me to explain what fanfiction is," began Rauru, "Fanfiction was created by people who are watching us in our world."

"Watching us?" gasped Link.

"Yes, watching us," sighed Rauru, "Fanfiction is when they create stories about us. Some of the stories are good, and follow what's going on in our world. Others are hideous stories about falling in love with our worst enemy for no apparent reason, getting tortured for the purpose of amusement (they call this 'character bashing', just to remind you), making love to one another shamelessly, and many other horrid things as well."

"I-it..." Link said, backing away, "It sounds just...well, terrifying. Especially this 'character-bashing' of theirs."

"It is indeed terrible," said Rauru, "But we must learn to triumph over it. Let us now go and explore the evils of fanfiction!"
