Suze inspected herself in the mirror. She dabbed on some blusher then gave herself a patronising look. It wasn't fair. How come everyone else had grown out of their spots by now.
Picking up her coat, she ran out of her bedroom and out of the door. A taxi pulled up outside her house.
She checked the time on her watch. She should take it. She couldn't afford being late on her first date. It was only when she'd jumped into the taxi when she realised. Her road was a private road. Taxi's weren't aloud to come down here.
She began to panic.
"Can you drop me at the cinema please? Um. Excuse me?" She swore. Why had she taken the taxi? Why?
She fumbled for her mobile phone in her bag. She turned it on. The battery was low.
She stabbed in the number and held the phone to her ear. It rang. It kept ringing. He wasn't picking up.
Her eyes prickled with water. She thought about opening the door and just jumping out. Would she make it?
"Hello?" A voice at the other end picked up.
"Will? You've got to help me." Tears choked her words and her make up was smudged. "This guy, this taxi driver, he won't take me where I want to go. We're in a kind of blue ford or something. He won't stop."
"Calm down, it's alright. Do you know where you are?" Suze glanced out of the window, trying to recognise something of her surrounding. An obliging sign told her that she was close to Colins Field.
"Somewhere near Colins Field." She replied, quietly so that the man in front couldn't hear her.
"Ok, I'm on my way. Keep telling me where you are."
Although this was reassuring, Suze couldn't help wondering what he could possibly do even if he did find her. She mutered names through the phone, all the time panicing about the alarmingly low battery. She was terrfied, it would run out and leave her stranded.
"Hurry, Will, hurry. Don't leave me." She whispered
