Story blurb: Trent comes to a new school. This time a private school. His parents are rich, but hardly seem to notice him. They sent him to this high priced private school, so that they didn't have to take care of him. The school would do it for nine months. What happens when most of the male students decide they hate Trent, because all the girls seem to see him as new dating potential?

Trent sighs as he walks down the hall toward the classes. He had arrived at this private school yesterday and had gotten settled into his room. Berry's House of Knowledge. He didn't know if that was just some funny joke that someone thought the world would get a kick out of or what...But, that was the name of it.

Most of the girls were watching him and giggling while whispering to each other. A few had the nerve to come over and talk to him, as he walked toward his classroom with his books.

Trent ignored most of them. He did admit that if they went through the trouble to come up and talk to him like that, he should probably at the very least say something to them, but he was so nervous about today. He'd been to so many schools and a few other private schools and all of it had been murder. He'd learned not to make friends, because he ended up having to leave them.

Sure, he and his friends from other places could stay in touch with phone calls or at the very least letters. But, they always lost touch. Always. And, it always disappointed him. He was sure it probably disappointed the other person as well, but maybe one day they'd see each other again.

Trent's parents were rich. Very rich. He had just about anything he could want. Except family. While, he had family, he didn't HAVE it...they were there, but they didn't want anything to do with him. That's why he was here. They didn't have to take care of him.

The school basically took care of the students here. You had rules and regulations and a room. Trent's room was on the boy's floor, of course.

His parents wanted a kid, but without the work. He didn't blame them; kids were a lot of work. He didn't know whether to be upset or happy that he was an only child. But, right now, he really didn't need to worry about that. He should keep his head in his studies.

When Trent got to his class, he noticed something. For one, the classes hadn't started yet, and for another there was a guy, good looking by normal standards, about average height, light blond hair, a soft shade of peach was his skin, he had blue eyes of medium shade. He had on the school uniform, which was basically blue dress pants, penny loafers, a white shirt, a burgundy tie, a blue blazer...

Trent had dark hair, was pretty thin or at least seemed so, also about average height or a little more...He also had on the normal school uniform. His skin was probably a little lighter than Mitchell's, but neither boy's skin was pure white. They weren't vampires for God's sake.

Trent noticed right away that this boy was probably one of the more popular students. He didn't see him as one of the most popular...but he was very well off with friends. He seemed to have several friends of both genders. With his looks, Trent wouldn't have been a bit surprised if this blond boy had a girlfriend.

Both Trent and Mitchell were sixteen years of age and, apparently, both in, not only the same school, which was a stroke of luck all together...but in the same homeroom.

It was about that time, that Trent noticed a few girls trying to get his attention. He refrained from rolling his eyes. Could these girls be anymore obvious??

It wasn't that Trent didn't like girls...he did...he just didn't like it when they acted the way they were acting now. Giggling, twirling their hair and pretending to be shy when the only thing they had on their minds was something that the teachers would probably fall over dead at the thought of.

Trent smiled to them and walked over to the seat that was supposed to be his. It was the only unoccupied seat that someone wasn't walking toward. The girls that had been bothering him went to their own classes. He had been standing at the door and observing the classroom for a few moments...or rather observing the cute blond guy.

Of course, seeing as how most of the girls were interested in him, he didn't doubt that new people here was a rare occurrence. So, he was kinda like the fresh, new meat...how wonderful. Yeah...right...

After a few moments of having been seated, he could see that some of the guys in the classroom weren't giving him very friendly looks. He just hoped that their girlfriends hadn't been in the group that had just been bothering him...that would be bad...possibly bloody later...

As the hours wore on for the daily classes most of the girls, excited that there was a new guy in the school, continued to shamelessly flirt with Trent. He didn't understand why they didn't just go and bother someone else. He wasn't the best looking guy in the school...true he wasn't bad looking, but he'd noticed other guys with good looks.

The school usually didn't get new students. And, when they did the students were almost always girls and most of them didn't stay for too long. The students here had mostly been here since their kindergarten or preschool years, minus the three months each year for summer break and the two weeks for Christmas. The school was open to students that couldn't go home at those times, as well, though.

So, when they finally got a male new student that didn't look like a total dork, then they were going to pounce.

Trent, to their frustration, however, was not being very cooperative. He seemed to want them to leave him to his studies. This came as a total bummer to the girls, because the fresh blood was more interested in math equations and World History than how the uniforms looked on the girls or what the girls were saying or doing.

Perhaps they weren't coming on strong enough...or perhaps he just wasn't interested in girls...naaaahhh...He was just shy. Yes. That MUST be it. He was only shy. He'd come around.

Sometimes, Trent would flirt back...but, the girls were disappointed, because it was so painfully obvious that he didn't mean it.

Even though he hadn't been there for long, he was already starting to shape up to be the class clown. He started with just a few smart-ass remarks...and worked his way up to soon getting the whole class in fits of laughter.

He was glad that the teachers here weren't snobs or something...they had an actual sense of humor.

Of course, seeing as this school wasn't all that bad, the day went quicker and after school, he would soon find himself in a little trouble...right...a little trouble.

When Trent got up to the boys level, after classes, to put his books away in his room, he was stopped once he got near the middle of the hallway. The teachers level was at the bottom level, near the classrooms. The girls level was right above the bottom level and the boys level was on the last level.

That's why the boys that had stopped him hadn't even hesitated. They knew that no one on this level was dumb enough to tell anyone. And, if they did, they would hopefully be smart and not do so until they were finished. The guys didn't care right now if they got into trouble AFTER they finished this fight.

"You need to learn to stay away from other people's girlfriends." One guy said, he was bigger and taller than Trent...but not by too much.

"Hey, those girls were comin' onto me...that isn't my fault." Trent said. He wasn't in the habit of being a coward. And, it also wasn't a good first impression to make on people. They'd think they could walk all over him. No way.

"Don't give us that bullshit." One of the other guys's said. He wasn't that big, but he was taller than the one that had spoken first.

"It's not bullshit. Listen, man, maybe you should pay more attention to your girlfriends instead of trying to beat people up and they wouldn't want to go find someone new." Trent said, knowing that he was skating on thin ice...and, if truth be told, he would realize later that he was doing it on purpose...

The boys snicker at the word 'trying'. These boys didn't just try to beat people up. They did it. And, that's why most people were afraid of them.

At the same time, Trent knew that he probably shouldn't be egging them on, or insulting their way with the ladies. He couldn't possibly fight all of them at once. He just hoped that he could stall for awhile until they had to leave or something...He could usually talk his way out of a lot of things...make jokes and what not. He'd fight if he had to, make no mistake about that, but why get your face bashed in when you didn't have to? Trent was not a stupid guy.

That blond guy came onto the level and saw what was going on. He seemed to roll his eyes, but Trent couldn't pay much attention to him right now. He'd learned that his name was Mitchell.

Mitchell came up to the group of guys, not really wanting see another person getting beaten up for no reason at all.

"Hey, Kyle. Some fifteen year old is hitting on your girlfriend on the first level." Mitchell lied. He didn't make a habit of lying, but if he didn't make something up, Kyle and his buddies would have pulverized Trent.

"Thanks, man..." Trent said, knowing that he probably would have gotten the shit knocked out of him if Mitchell hadn't done that.

"No problem." Mitchell said, simply, giving a little shrug.

"Naw, really, man. They would'a killed me. I owe you one." Trent said, seriously.

Mitchell shakes his head, but doesn't say anything. Hey, if the guy wanted to go around and pretend he was in debt to him, then that was his thing.

A few months proved Trent and Mitchell to be fast friends. If you call months fast. They spent a lot of time together, but never just the two of them. Trent and Mitchell were always with the other guys.

Until one day when they were sitting in class, being told about the big test. This was like a state test. You had to do well on it and so the teachers wanted their students, who were going to be representing the school, to be as prepared as possible.

So, the History teacher, Mrs. Cherry, decided that she would assign study buddies. Everyone got paired off. She was thankful that there was an even number of students in this classroom. That way she wouldn't have any odd numbers.

Mitchell and Trent were paired together. Mrs. Cherry was trying to put people together that could get along. She found that if they got along, they worked better together and right now she needed them to work well together. If they didn't, then they might spend all of their time arguing and not studying.

After classes, Mitchell went back to his room and Trent went back to his. They would meet up a little later in Trent's room to study. They wanted a good grade on this test. They figured that they weren't going to get an A+, but that didn't mean they couldn't try to get a good grade just the same. It didn't have to be perfect.

Mitchell went downstairs and outside to play basketball with the guys and Trent, deciding against basketball, listened to some music instead and did his normal homework. This way the test studying was all that was left.

It was around six when Mitchell and the guys came in, but it wasn't until after supper that Mitchell was able to get to Trent's room for the studying.

When Mitchell got there, Trent let him in and they looked over what they had to study.

After a few moments of trying to study in the quiet, Mitchell suggested that they put on some music that would help them study. Something that had a nice beat to it, but wouldn't distract them from what they were doing.

Trent agrees and they choose a CD that has good studying music on it and start to study once it starts playing.

They both read, both silently and out loud, they quiz each other and make up little study guides for the other to follow and find the answers to, making sure that some were simple, but most were harder. This way it would challenge them and they would probably get more out of the studying.

Two knocks came at the door and then footsteps walking away. That basically meant, 'turn the music off, because it's time to go to sleep'.

Sure enough when Trent looked at his digital clock on his nightstand he saw that it was ten o'clock. That was lights out.

"Listen, man...I don't wanna get caught goin' back to my room..." Mitchell started. All students were supposed to be back in their rooms by eight and ready for bed by nine thirty.

"Don't sweat it, just stay here." Trent said, giving a little shrug, as he turned the CD player off.

Now, Trent did have feelings for Mitchell...Trent was bisexual, but he was more into guys than girls. He was just hoping that he didn't have a wet dream about Mitchell tonight or that he could just plain keep his hands off of him!

Unknowingly, to Trent, Mitchell was thinking along the same lines about Trent.

Each took their turn sneaking around to get ready. At night, when everything was quiet, you had to be extra careful. The authority figures seemed to develop super sonic hearing when it got dark or something.

Trent is undressing in his room, while Mitchell does the same. They had decided that they might as well sleep in their underwear and keep their clothes folded tonight. That way if anyone saw them moving around early the next morning, no one would really be quite sure if they were just wearing the same sort of clothes, the same clothes, or different clothes, because at least they'd LOOK clean. Besides, tomorrow was Saturday.

As Trent was getting ready to get into bed, he felt warm arms wrap around his waist and he gave a little gasp of surprise.

Trent was even more surprised when he was pulled back against Mitchell, while Mitchell kissed at his neck.

This sent shivers down Trent's spine, but when he finally realized where this was headed, he wasn't going to stop it. If Mitchell wanted to fuck, then there was no way that Trent was going to be stupid enough to tell the guy he had a crush on, maybe even LOVED, no!

So...they ended up sleeping together that night. It wasn't Trent's first time and it definitely wasn't Mitchell's, but...it was still something they would remember forever.

--Trent's POV-

"I'm glad that I went to that private school, even though it did have a weird name and even weirder females. I mean, I haven't anything against girls, but the girls at that school were ridiculous. I hope they found someone like I did, though..." I say, smiling as I look over at Mitchell.

Both of us are twenty, now, and still very much in love. We have an apartment together and one day we hope to have a house. It shouldn't be very long, if Mitch gets that job transfer. It pays more money and everything!

"I'm grateful to my parents, if for nothing else, but making me go to that private school. If it weren't for that school I may not have ever met Mitchell and I would still be searching for that special someone. But, that someone is right here. I love him and I know he loves me, because he tells me every night." I whisper, smiling at the fond memories.

"We've had to deal with a lot of prejudice in our lives for being in a homosexual relationship, but we've remained happy and steer clear of the homophobes. Some people just can't get that love is love. It doesn't stop with a certain gender...I suppose you can choose if you're gay or not. But, that's not a real homosexual person. That's just a person that's either very confused or has been hurt by someone of the opposite sex very badly. We love each other; we're happy and content with each other. If anyone has a problem with that, then they can go hump a cactus, because we're not changing our ways to just suit the ideas of other people. We've come too far for that." I'm whispering softly, thinking aloud to myself as I watch my lover sleep.

In my heart I know that we'll always be together. I'm also convinced that if there is a such thing as past lives, we were probably together then too. I love him and that's all there is to it. If I had to die a thousand times just to be with him again, I would do it. Maybe that sounds weird or something. Maybe, it's just mushy. Maybe, a guy shouldn't bother with stuff like that. But, it's still the truth and if no one else knows it, I hope Mitchell does. I tell him. And, he tells me that he'd do even more...

But, anyway...we're together and we love each other. That's all that matters. Not many a person can tell you that they found their one true love. Not many people believe in true love. I don't care. I do. And, I did find my true love. Mitchell.

And, I thank God or whatever created us that we found each other.
