Terra dangled her foot off of the cloud. Heaven was…perfect. Too perfect. More like perfectly boring. She missed him, the one she left behind. Her only one.

She remembers the words she thought as she departed him. They flowed fast, but she still knew them.

Broken this fragile thing now
And I can't, I can't pick up the pieces
And I've thrown my words all around
But I can't, I can't give you a reason

She didn't know why she was the way she was. She didn't know that she could stop it, until it was too late. She was alone. She thought she had no one who cared for her, and she realized she did have someone too late.
I feel so broken up
And I give up

She knew she would die. She was a lost cause, they said. He said. He said I was a lost cause, and that he could shape me into his apprentice. He said he'd give me control. Instead, he controlled me, and he took away my friends. I hate him.
I just want to tell you so you know

But there was someone who loved her for who she was all along. And she broke his heart, tried to kill him, and left him for dead. In the end, she made up with him, but it was too late to do anything about it. She had to sacrifice herself to the city, and become one with the earth she controlled.
Made my mistakes, let you down

Ran my whole life in the ground
And I can't, I can't get up when you're gone

She remembered when she sent Slade's minions onto Titans Tower. She felt weak. She wrote a letter to her only one, when he came to her door. He wanted to be with her tonight. She wanted to be with him too, but she brushed him off, remembering Slade's orders. She waited, and then went to put the letter in his room while he was asleep. She found him awake, so she decided to stick the letter in her pocket and, even thought Slade said not to, she accepted his date.
And something's breaking up
I feel like giving up
I won't walk out until you know

She hadn't decided if she would give him the letter. But they had such a glorious time, she had forgotten about it. Then he showed up, just as she was about to kiss her only one. He ruined her evening, which had been magical up until then. She knew she had to tell her only one her secret. It was so hard, she felt like dying. When he found out, he left her, even though he'd promise to always be with her. She was mad at the time, but she understood now that she had betrayed him. She was his enemy now.

When she died, the letter was still with her, entrapped in the stone. She remembered the letter, and what it said:
Here I go so dishonestly
Leave a note for you my only one
And I know you can see right through me
