Golden Sorrow

Forgiveness beckon me
Though I am unworthy
My effort in vain
Shamed though I tried
This all to me is a lie
I see their false loyalty
How they've kept me silent
My apologies for I do not fight
Your paradise denied
All for their power claims
So unjust and corrupt
They keep me chained
Please forgive me
I plead on broken glass
