Night's Silver Kiss
Chapter 12
The room was quiet except for the soft sobs for both Night and me. I felt so sorry for him; he didn't deserve this kind of life. He was a kind young man who saw his family get killed. I wanted to take all of his pain away. Just erase it from his existence. But that sort of thing, there would be a price. In order to gain something, you must give something in return.
“Night…listen to me…” I began, speaking between sobs. “Why don't you use me for your advantage?”
“What do you mean?” he asked, wiping small tears away from his hard cheeks. From the looks of his eyes it seemed as if he's been holding in the tears of sadness for years now. I'm just glad I found him in time. He may seem fine on the outside but on the inside he was a wreck.
“I mean like…um…I don't know! Think of something! Please! I just want your pain to go away! I want you to smile like you mean it! To let go of your pain and suffering! I want you to find happiness—!”
“I have found happiness! Jin, I found you.” Just then he leaned in and gave me a quick kiss. “Jin, you're the only happiness I have. Everything else has gone against me and bitten me in the ass. But not you. Even when you're being used by my enemy, you never once blamed me for what has happened to you. And that, in my eyes, is true love. I know we met only a couple of days ago, but I do see this as love. Before you there was no one in my life. I walked a lonely road in which no one took me in their home, offered me their love. Except you…” he gently stroked my face with his thumb as small tears of happiness rolled down my cheek.
Night was right. Here I was trying to tell him he has nothing in his life, nothing to live for, when really he doesn't. He has me. It may not be much but it's still something. Night is the type of person to see his glass half full not half empty. That's something I can never hope to be. “Oh, Night…I'm so sorry for judging you. Your right, so what if the whole world is against us? We'll find a way through this. I know we will. Because both of us have survived through hell it self.” I smiled as I wiped away the tears.
“That's my Jin. Be strong.” He exclaimed as he held my hands and kissed them each. “Now, how are we gonna defeat this bastard?” Knight cocked an eyebrow at me playfully.
“Well, he plans to make me fully his on my birthday.”
“Which is…?”
“On New Years…”
“You got to be kiddin me!” Night slammed his hand against his head. He remained silent, as though thinking. “Oh!” he finally spoke. “That's perfect! On New years there are a lot of people out and about. We can use that to our advantage.” He rubbed his chin as he spoke.
“Yeah, that is true…but I don't think you'd be able to do anything.”
“Why?” his eyes widened.
“I think it's gonna be too late…I have a feeling he plans to deflower me on New Years eve…right on the stroke of twelve…” I looked down, defeated.
“Damn!” he cursed. “Ok, I guess I'm just gonna have to beat him to you…” he stood up.
“W-What do you mean?” I followed his lead.
“I mean about deflowering you. I think we should do it before he gets to you.” He gave me a scary smile that sent chills down my spine.
“W-W-What?! N-N-No! W-W-We cant!” my face turned red as I turned away from him.
“Aw, why not?” he wrapped his arms around me from behind.
“B-Because!” I tried to escape from his grasp but couldn't.
“Aw, c'mon! Don't be shy Jin!” he began to tease me. “I thought you loved me!” he began to kiss my neck which caused my skin to crawl with goose bumps.
“Ah! Stop it! It tickles!” I screamed with laugher.
“Nope! Not until you say Yee-ss!” he continued to kiss my neck and trail kisses to the other side.
“Ah-Ha! Stop! Ha-Ha!” I squirmed around until I found we were face to face.
“You know, you look even cuter when you blush…” he narrowed his eyes which almost caused me to faint.
“C'mon Night! Knock it off! You're just lying!” I tried to pull out of his grasp again.
“Nope! I love you too much to let you go.” He rubbed his cheek against mine.
“Argh! Ok! Ok! I give…” I finally gave up. It was no use. Both he and I are stubborn so I just might as well surrender and save the bloodshed for later.
“Yeah! Alright!” Night exclaimed as he released me. “There, now was that so hard?” he winked at me with a grin.
“Yes! Don't do that! For a minute there I thought you turned into Fai…” I turned away from him and waited for his response. When I found there was none I slowly turned to find him with his bangs covering his eyes. “N-Night?” I slowly uttered as I reached out for him.
As soon as my hand was about to touch his hair, his hand quickly and forcefully grabbed my wrist. “Don't…EVER…say that…” he growled as he began to walk towards me.
“W-What?” I muttered as I began to walk backwards to keep my distance. “Let go of my hand. Night, i-it hurts…” I whimpered.
“Don't you DARE call me that…” he continued to growl in his angered and emotionless voice as he walked towards me.
“N-Night…please…” I begged when I found I backed into a wall. “Night…it hurts!” I slumped down to my knees and tried to free my hand from his tight grasp.
“Don't EVER call me FAI!” he screamed as his bangs revealed his gentle brown eyes had turned into angered green ones. I stared into them and saw my scared and terrified expression. I think he had seen himself in my eyes as well because his expression quickly faded. He blinked and I saw his eyes returned to normal. He quickly released my wrist and revealed it to have a red imprint of his hand. “Jin…I-I'm…I…didn't…” he began to stutter as he backed away from me.
I remained silent. There was nothing for me to say. I was frightened by the man who I thought could save me. How could I give loose my womanhood to him? Much less my life. It was something I needed to think about. I was about to speak when the door slid open to reveal Fai in the door way.
“What the hell is going on in here?” he growled.
No one answered. Both Night and I exchanged worried looks, as if Fai wasn't even there. Fai saw us not listening so he quickly walked over to me and picked me up by my hair. “Did you not hear me?!”
“Ahh!” I tried to free my hair from his grasp when I felt Fai stop shaking me around. I looked up and saw Fai and Knight staring straight at each other.
“What the fuck do you want?” Fai growled.
“Nothing…just want you to let her go…” Night said calmly.
“Well I say fuck no! You don't own her! And you sure as hell down order me!” Fai pushed Night away from him as he continued to pull me by my hair.
“I'm not saying I do! I just want you to let her go!” Night tried again.
This time Fai reached his limit. “You want me to let her go? Heheh…ok, I'll let her go!” he pulled me hair then slammed my head onto the ground. Then all went black.
