Night's Silver Kiss

Chapter 17

 

“This will be your ultimate test of skill and will power.”

“ I know, it will test all of my abilities, but I will not fail!”

“ You're just like your father you know that. I see a lot of him in you. And I know that his spirit will help guide you.” Dai explained to me as I fell deeply into meditation.

 

* Meditating*

 

“You've grown Knight. I still remember when you would always hold my hand when you got scared…”

“ Huh? Who is this? Is it? Father?”

“Yes son it's me. I missed you so much. I've been watching over you since that day, and I have never stopped missing you Knight.”

“ I know Father. I knew that even though you were gone, that you were still there with me. You and Mom and everyone else; I miss u guys so very much. I just want to be with you all so much, I don't care what happens to me anymore, as long as I can be with everyone again!”

“ Don't talk like that Night. You have too much to live for now than to be here with us…”

“What? There isn't anyone else Father, please just let me come with you!”

“ Son you've gotten so obsessed with hearing me again that you forgot about your one true mate…. Jin. She's the reason why you must stay here and not come. It isn't your time yet son. When it is, ill are waiting for you, but that won't be for a long time. I know you'll win, because you aren't fighting for yourself anymore. You're fighting for me, our family, but most of all for that sweet girl you met some time ago.”

(Crying inside) “I understand Father.”

“Knight I think it is time for me to tell you what I've been longing for ever since you were born. I must tell you about your true past…”

“My true past? Father what do you mean by my `true” past?”

“Long ago there was a brave Knight. I know you know what I'm talking about because I've told you this story before. Before this Knight was killed he vowed to end the lives of those who cause harm in this world. He made a pact with the Reaper to let his sole wonder through the land, waiting for a vessel worthy enough of its presence. That's when it happened. The day you were born, that spirit came and told me that you were the one it chose. The spirit told me that you would have a long and hard life, as you grew older and older. You were better and stronger than the others. However, you were still too small to harness the full power of the Knights spirit. So in doing so, I made a powerful weapon. The sword you have now not only is the Knights sword, but also is the key to its true power. I knew that you life would bring pain and suffering, but I just couldn't tell you. I'm sorry my son. But you, are the reincarnation of the legendary Knight.”

“I am? How is it possible? All along I was the Legendary Knight? That's amazing father, but why me?”

“That I leave for another time my son. I told you everything you need to know for now.”

“ But Father how will I know when we'll be able to talk again?”

“In due time Knight. You'll know when the time is right.”

“No Father please doesn't go, not yet. It has been so long since I've ever talked to you please don't leave me alone again.”

“Don't worry my son, you were never alone. I was always there watching over you. Plus you have someone else looking over you right now. She's a wonderful girl Knight. I know you'll save her. I know you have the strength to do it.”

“Thank you Father. I promise to save the one I love.”

“I was always truly proud of you my son. Don't ever forget that.”

“I promise not to. I love you!”

“I love you too, my son…”

 

*Stop meditating*

 

“Knight are you ok?” Dai yelled right before I came out of my trance.

“ It's time…” with that I gathered all that I needed: clothes, tools, and have course the sacred sword. Its like the sword is calling me. It knows that it's its time. As I placed the sacred Knight sword into its sheath. I said my goodbyes to Dai. And left for Fai's headquarters.

It's been so long since I walked these streets. It brings back good memories of my past. But there off in the distance was the last place I ever truly remember, my old home. It was crumbled to the ground and caved in. It seems that no one has ever inhabited it since that day. As I rumbled through the ashes of my past, I found a bracelet. It was the bracelet my father wore for as long as I knew. I was surprised to see it there, of all places. No one disturbed it or took it. It was if my Father was sending me this as a sign of hope and Faith. I took the bracelet and placed it around my wrist. With that I said my final goodbyes to the life I once had, and headed for that demented creatures place.

I am the legendary Knight. His courage, and will power is entrusted within soul. I cant and won't let it down. I wont let my Father down either. But most of all I wont let you down Jin! I love you and I'm coming to save you. I love you! I swore since the day I knew that you were true, that I will always protect you and never let come to harm. I've already let part of that happen, but I swear on my grave not to let anything else happen ton you. I love you my wife!”

While approaching his headquarters there were a group of men outside guarding the entrance. He must know that I'm coming. What a coward. I quickly but silently took out each of them before the other could call for back up. Luckily Dai gave me some stun needles that will not only paralyze them but also knock them out for a good ten hours, just enough time for Axel and I to get far away from here. I don't want to kill them. I want to save it all for him.

As I ran up stairs and stairs there was a room in front of me, so I went through it. It was dark and showed no sign of life, but I have to try. I need to save Axel. As I went in the door behind me slammed shut. I was a sitting duck. Then a voice came through the darkness. It was Fai!

“Hello Knight! I see that you made it past my guards. Impressive but not quite enough.”

“ Show yourself you coward! Stop hiding like a little bitch and hand over Axel!!”

“O now you aren't in any situation to tell me to do anything. For you see you must prove yourself worthy of even getting to me. You must fight the one you love, in order to save the ones you love….”

“What? What is that suppose to mean?!”

“O you'll see.” Just then a light came on as a dark shadowy figure began to come closer. To my horror it was the one person who has been there for me my whole life…

“Its nice to see you again, My Son…”
