Chapter 19

 

“Father? No it can't be! How is it possible? Y-you died… I saw it with my own two eyes! Fai you bastard what kind of trick is this! You can't even fight on your own you SOB!!”

“ I'm sorry my Son…”

“Father…”

“Its time.” As he said that, he unsheathed his sword, the exact sword the Legendary Knight had.

“What?! How is that possible? You gave me that sword? That one is a fake!”

“No my son its not. I told you that that sword was made form the spirit and the armor of the Knight, but what do you think happened to his original sword?”

“You mean…”

“Yes, this is the original blade that Knight used to slay the wicked!”

“All this time you've kept that, but that is the least of my worries. How are you here?”

“In due time my son, but it is time.”

“NO! Father I wont fights you! I can't! I will not kill my own father!”

“I know you're scared my son, but even I must do things that I wish have never came upon me.”

“I don't care, I will not fi…”

“ENOUGH! Unsheathed your sword my son and fight me till only one will stand.”

“I will not fight my own father to the death.”

“So be it, it will be your downfall.” And with that he attacked, with great intensity and force. I couldn't withstand the force so without hesitation, I unsheathed my sword to block his blow. As our blades hit, his full force weighed upon me and sent me back.

“Father, what are you doing? Why are you doing this? What did that bastard do to you?” As I said this he just continued to attack and all I could do was block each and every one, until one lucky shot, he got me on my chest, but taunted me with only a scratch.

“Stop holding back Knight, you must fight me, you must defeat me in order to save her!”

“No there has to be another way! We can both take him Father, Please stop!” With that he charged for me again only this with more power than I have ever seen. He lunged towards me his sword hanging high ready to come down and strike. As I gained my balance, I quickly lunged out my sword in front to stop him. As our blades touched, the ground began to crack as his power began to drive us downwards into the ground creating a crater.

“You don't understand my son, but now is the time u should…. That day when his father took over our village, I tried my very best to help all of you. I did everything I could from working more jobs, doing anything to put food on the table. Then it came. The day when they attacked.” While my father explained this to me his force kept gaining on me and pushing me back. I'm doing all that I can to keep him form hurting me.

“It still doesn't make sense!”

“Look, after Fai's father killed our family, you and I were the only one left. I had no other choice my son, I had to do what any father would do for his son.”

“What do you mean, what did you do?”

“I made a deal with his Father, that in exchange for your life, I would serve under him no matter the cost….” With that he pushed me backwards as I fell to the ground, the sword slipping out of my hands.

“No that's all a lie! You died, I saw him kill you!”

“Your mistaken my son, you didn't see anything, you thought he killed me but it was only an allusion to fool you.” With that he charged again as I stood ready to take his attack, he slashed a clear cut on my left arm and with his other hand punched me right in the jaw which sent me down to the ground hard.

“NO! You would never do anything like that!” I said as I began to stand with all my might.” My father would never do anything like that especially for someone like the likes of him!” I ran towards him picking up my sword. I raised my sword and swung it down this imposter. But he blocked it again!

“I know its bad my son but its true…”

“NO! Its all lies!!!” I yelled as I began to push forward. He could only look down as he blocks my attack.

“Its time you knew the truth about Fai, something I wish would never have happened.” With that, he slowly raised his head and yelled, “He's your BROTHER!” those words horrified me and shocked me, my body froze, and my father knocked me back again.

“T-That's not right, how could that be!?” I said in a shocked expression. I glanced at Jin and noticed she felt just as I did.

“Its all true Knight, he is your brother. He is my first-born son. That is the other reason why I made that deal with his so-called father! I had to do what any father would. He strikes again, slashing my other arm, practically immobilizing both my arms.

“I'm sorry my son, but its time to end this. You failed in saving the only person who made a difference in your new life. Her death will be your burden.” He raised his sword ready to strike. As I looked at him ready to end this, I saw tears running from his eyes. I have never seen my father cried; this was his first. As he cried right before he was going to give the final blow he said. “ I love you… my son!” He swung down with all of his might as he yelled those final words.

“No!” I yelled back as I stood up with the legendary sword in my arms. He could only be shocked.

“Impossible! That Bitch is supposed to die!” Fai yelled as he could only bear to see me survive.

“Your wrong father. I will save her no matter the cost.” With all my strength, I pushed back his attack and sent him falling to the ground. I began to walk towards him. He slowly knelt on one knee.

“I knew you would my son. You must do what you have to do in order to save the one you love, even if it means killing me. It's ok, I wont try to fight it, and it must be done. This will be my last act of kindness for you my son.” As he said this I could only sob and sob as I raised my sword. The sword began to glow a bright color of gold. It was the Sword of Redemption!

“Thank you my son, for letting me be free… I will always love you…”

“I will always love you to, Father.” With that I swung down and finally ended the battle.

“ I know that it was hard to do what you did my son. But it just proves how strong you are. I'm sorry for all the pain that I caused you. That I could never help you or contact you when you needed someone the most. Now you do my son. This girl is the key to your future. I know you can do it. Do whatever you can to save her. She is the only person that could ever save you. But in return she needs you. This is your final chance to redeem yourself my son. You've made me so very proud…”

I slowly walked to the middle of the room looking over my father's body. He once said that those who can commit the ultimate sacrifice would live a long and healthy life. These last words will be kept with me always.

“ So you managed to kill that worthless scum bag. Imp impressed, I never knew you had it in you brother.” Fai Scowled as he began to walk slowly down the stairs.

“Give my Jin! Now! I'm not going to leave here without her Fai, and it'll be your head!”

“Don't worry ill make sure she's ok.” With that he snapped his fingers as two of his men came form the shadows and pinned Jin to the chair and tied her up. She let out a loud scream.

“Jin! I'm coming!” just before I could move, a dagger was thrown right at me, so I dodged it and fell down. It came form Fai. I slowly began to rise up. “ This is the end Fai, only one of us will leave here today alive. And I don't plan on having any funeral for me.”

“You're so sure of yourself aren't you!” he chuckled as he picked up speed with a sword in both hands. I could only charge back and attack as he did. Both of our blades hit, and sparks began to arise from them. My anger, my will power could only grow with intensity.

“You will not survive from this u little prick.”

“O I wouldn't be the one talking you SOB. For someone who takes little innocent girls and messes with them, that's just sad.” As I said this Fai became furious and attacked swing after swing, striving to hit me once. But his anger is clouding him and he could never win by that. He continued to swing away but managed to hit me again in the same arm my father hit me. The pain was too intense, and it brought me down to the floor. He grinned with achievement as he stood before me. He jabbed his sword in my wound, and I yelled from the pain of it.

“You were never going to save her, no matter how hard you try. You killed your own father for nothing!”

“He was your father too!”

“Huh? Ill has to remember that as I kill the only thing left of him.” He leaned in to whisper in my ear, “ Don't worry, and ill make sure to fuck your special little girl extra hard tonight.” He laughed as he began to ready himself for the final blow. “This will end it all, all of your hard work, and your suffering!” as he began to swing down I could only say what was true, “ Your wrong, I have not gone this far to die knowing that I have achieved nothing. You will never stop me from doing what I must. You will never stop me BROTHER!!!!” I yelled as I picked up my sword and slashed it a crossed his waist. He could only stare a look of death and amazement for what I have done to him.

He Slowly began to walk backwards as he tried to apply pressure to his wound. He could only stare at the blood running down his fingers. I began to walk closer to him as he tripped backwards and sat on the floor against the wall. He stared at me with those dark and cold eyes. Just for that second, I saw his true inner side. My true brother. I am the last one left of my family, and I must never forget the people i've hurt in order to make this possible. Their deaths shall never be in vain. Because finally my long journey is over.

I fell backwards as Jin caught me from behind. My wounds hurt badly and I have lost a lot of blood. I stared up at Jin as she stared down at me. Those amazing eyes, and her wonderful smile. Finally it was finally over…
