Blood red.

Splattered all over my

Hands, temple and chest

Will it ever end?

Why did it end this way?

How did it come to this day?

Where you would leave me

and let him take me away.

I remember you lying there

screaming out my name.

Gasping for air

as your life was slowly draining away.

I became his pet

something he could just throw away.

Another plaything to pass the days.

But I know this is true.

For I will never forget you,

my loving family who pasted away.

You did all you could,

now let me dwell on memories

of love, hope, and happiness

Even in this cage I can say

I will never be broken.

Even to this day.
