Dark: Hey everyone! This is my first Invader ZIM fic. This is from Dib's POV by the way...

I stood in front of Zim's base, not sure if I wanted to knock, I decided against it and turned. Before I started to walk away I heard the soft click of the door opening, I looked over my shoulder and saw the little green dog. When the green dog jumped at me, wrapped it's short black arms around my legs, tripping me.
I'm tired of being what you want me to beFeeling so faithlessLost under the surfaceI don't know what you're expecting of mePut under the pressureOf walking in your shoes
"Gir! Get in here now!!" I heard Zim yell from somewhere inside the house, after hearing the order the little green dog's eyes squinted in what I guessed was a smile.
"Come on in big-headed human!" Gir squealed and turned then ran in the house, I followed, closing the door behind me. "Master! the big-headed human is here!" The dog sqealed, stripping his dog suit. I smiled, not really minding what Gir called me.
"What?!" Came an enraged voice from the kitchen area. A tall alien walked into the living room, it's been ten years since the alien came to earth. "Dib-worm, what are you doing here?! I told you that I was done here, I've given up trying to take over this pathetic ball of dirty filthy filth!" I shook my head and looked at the alien, he was taller now but only a few inches shorter than me.
"I know Zim, but I came to ask you what you plan on doing?" I tilted my head slightly to the right. "Where will you go?" I watched him as he looked everywhere but at me.
"I will go to Foodcourita... where I was banished years ago by the Tallest." Zim sighed, I moved toward him only to have him take a step back. I kept advancing on him, as I did that he kept backing up until he was backed up against a wall. I reached him and pulled him into a tight embrace.
"Why do you have to go?" I asked as I felt tears fall from my eyes. "Why can't yo stay here? If you go I don't know what I will do..."

"I have to go otherwise the Tallest will come and destroy the planet themselves... I couldn't bare it if you were to be hurt Dib..." I heard him clearly, hadn't I?
"What did you say Zim?" I asked just to make sure I had heard him right about wanting to keep me safe.
"I said I couldn't bare it if you were hurt, because I... I love you Dib..." My eyes widened as he said the three words I had longed to hear from him.
"I love you too Zim, I want you to stay though... You're the only one who can stand to be around me. My sister is always playing her Game Slave v5, my dad is always in his lab trying to find a way to make man kind better, and the rest of the town just thinks I'm wierd. You're the only one who knows what I'm like, what I'm interested in, everything about me."

"You love me too?" Zim asked a little unsure, I pulled back a little, just to show him that I was smiling. After a nod, I felt Zim's lips pressing against my own, instead of pulling away I wrapped my arms around his small waist, feeling his arms wrap themselves around my neck we both pulled against each other deepening the kiss. We broke apart for air and turned to face a high pitched sqeal of delight, seeing the malfunctioning SIR unit running around the room we both smiled. "I'm sorry Dib but I have to go if I want to keep the world safe." I sighed then chuckled, upon recieving a glare from Zim.

"It's ironic, you came to earth to destroy it then end up saving it." I chuckled again at the look Zim gave me.
"That's true, I did set out to destroy this planet then a year ago, I fell in love with you, now I don't want to have this planet destroyed." Zim smiled making me smile, we kissed once more and stood up from the floor where we had sank sometime while I was trying to comfort him.
"I better get home before my father realizes that I left." I smiled again and headed for the door, before I got there Gir ran up to me and wrapped his arms aorund my legs again, causing me to trip. "Gir get off! I need to get home, I'll be back later."
"But... but..." The little robot had started to whine, his little metallic eyes watering. "BUT I WANT TACOS!!!" I laughed out loud.
"I'll bring some over when I come back Gir." I said and smiled. Looking at Zim I saw that he was crying, I walked back to him and kissed one of his anttanae making it twitch, Zim gave me a wierd look. "Your attanae are so cute." I whispered and kissed him on the cheek.
And I knowI may end up failing tooBut I knowYou were just like meWith someone disappointed in you
I'm tired of being what you want me to be
Dib walked back from his house a few hours later, with Gir's tacos in a bag in his left hand. When he got to Zim's base he saw that there was nothing, no house, no tree, no lawn gnomes, not "I heart Earth" flags. Nothing, just an empty lot, there were holes in the buildings where the wiring of Zim's base was. Dropping the bag of tacos Dib moved to the middle of the lot, looking in disbelief at what he was seeing, he felt tears burning in his eyes and spilling down his cheeks.
"Why Zim? Why did you leave me without saying good-bye? WHY?!" Dib cried until there were no tears left for him to cry, he stood up and numbly walked home, where he fell onto his bed and cried even more.
Zim didn't get to say good-bye, Gir didn't get his tacos, and Dib didn't see Zim again.

Dark: That was sad, even for me! I love Dib! *grabs a Dib doll and squeezes it.* Well Review if you liked it! If I get 13 reviews I'll continue this story! I sat in my office thinking about what I wanted for dinner, deciding on Mexican I got up and left the office, 'It was quiting time anyway.' I thought and headed out the door, I walked a familiar path not even paying attention to where I was going. I stopped and looked around, seeing that I was at the empty lot where Zim's base had once been, but now it wasn't an empty lot, a house was built over it a few months after Zim had left. "I wish he was still here." I muttered and continued on my way home.
Dark: *gigglez* Okay tell me what you think!
