Fan Fiction ❯ One-sided love? Yeah right!-A megatokyo story ❯ Chapter 1

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

Hi! This fanfic is based off of the webmanga, megatokyo. I don't own MT. The official MT link is http://www.megatokyo.com

This story doesn't really take place at any certain time of the story, but probably the more recent comics (this fanfic was written starting 3/26/05).

PS- the game that Nanasawa-san is in in the comic is different for the game used in this fanfic, but based off of that game. I made it so that it was the same game, but MMORPG. It's a replacement for the original story's game.

Ok! Let's start the story!

Piro sat down at his computer chair and turned on his personal computer. He had bought a computer for himself, so he wouldn't have to use Largo's firewall-encrypted `5|_||>4r-L33T 80x0r'. He could hear his game-obsessed friend rambling on in l33t about all of his crazy notions that Ping-chan, an EDS who had been left in Piro and Largo's care, and Tohya Miho, a Goth girl in high school who had befriended Ping-chan, were zombies, and that they must be `pwnd'.
Piro popped in the disc for a promo of a new MMORPG dating game that someone had given him. Since coming to Tokyo with Largo, Piro had encountered many females who were interested in him, including Ping-chan; Tohya-san; Hayasaka Erika, Piro's co-worker, and former pop idol/seiyuu; Nanasawa Kimiko, an up-and-coming seiyuu; and Sonoda Yuki, a 15-year-old girl who he had given drawing lessons to. He needed to brush up on his woman skills.
Out of all of the girls he has encountered, Piro liked Nanasawa-san as more than a friend. He felt that she probably saw him as a geeky American, and nothing more. She was a talented actress, he was an otaku who worked at a gaming and manga store, with no talent, and a l33t |-|4><0r friend who always caused riots. He wasn't good enough for her.
Piro looked at the case of the game. It was a promo for the game that Nanasawa-san was going to be in. “I thought you might like this. You've been waiting for this game to come out, right?” she had said when she handed him the game.
Piro quickly chose his screen name. He was assigned an avatar, and was given the rules. He read through them quickly, and began on the game.

Nanasawa Kimiko grabbed her laptop and went out to the TV room of the apartment her and her friend, former singer and actress Hayasaka Erika shared. Erika hadn't gotten home from work yet, so she decided to wait for her in the TV room.
Kimiko wanted to try out the promo disc for the MMORPG dating game she was going to be in. One of the people who worked on game development told her a cheat code so she could be the character she voiced, Kotoko, or the girl of many grays. She pushed in the disk, and typed in the cheat code at the screen name page, and was assigned Kotoko.
Kimiko felt she really needed to brush up on her boy skills. She liked a certain guy as more than a friend, and didn't know how to approach him. She had heard that he liked her back, but because he never approached her, she dismissed it as a rumor. This certain guy was Piro, an American boy who worked at the same store as Erika. Piro always had girls circulating around him. There was a robot girl, a Goth girl, a cute school girl, and Erika. She wasn't sure if she would get him. Guys were attracted to Erika like bees are to honey. She heard that Erika had started going out with Largo, Piro's non-Japanese speaking friend, who was good with technology. However, because of Erika's tendencies to scare men, she might rid of Largo and go after Piro next. Also, that robot girl is perfection-how could a struggling seiyuu compare to a girl who is made to be perfect?
She saw a guy coming toward her, and she walked over to start the game. Even if she couldn't get the guy in the real world, why can't she get him here?
