Episode one
Undead dragsters
A steamy mist enveloped the white tiled floors and walls of the bathroom. Many showers were placed in tow with white curtains adoring them. The metallic sliver shower heads gave the room the army washroom feel right down to the pale blue soap put in every white soap dish in each shower. In the last of the each five showers water was coming out of the head of the last shower to the far left. In the shower was a young girl about seventeen to be exact, her blonde strands flowed down her back as hot water rolled down her breasts, thighs, and hips. As she bathed she sang a song from her native homeland, her voice as soft and melodic with a deep French accent, as the bubbles spun around her.
“Dans mon usine de Puteaux
On peut dire qu' j' ai le fin boulot
Ça f' sait bien trois cent soixante cinq jours de long
HidIele hidlele hideledele hey !
Hidlele hidlele hideledele
Le travail c' est ahurissant
Pour le corps c' est bien salissant
Quand je touche ma paye vers la fin du mois
Je sais qu' à Puteaux y' a des gars plus riches que moi
Mais celà ne m' empêche pas de chanter
Hidlele hidlele hideledele
Luna-Park est ma réserve de gaité
Hidlete hidlele hideledele
A tous les stands je suis salué
Des patrons et des habitués
Garçons et filles
C' est ma famille
Partout ailleurs je n' suis rien
A Luna Park je suis quelqu' un
Vive Luna Park et vive la joie

As she finished the door at the very beginning of the showers slowly opened, revealing a teenage boy. His toffee eyes glinted with perversion as he made his way into the bathing facility. His short spiked russet hair made no change in the sudden humid temperature adjustment. He wore nothing but a white bathrobe as it was tied up around his slimy toned tanned body.
He approached carefully to the shower stall where the young lady was cleansing herself. Soon he came close enough to where he could get into the stall right next to hers. He leaned in oh so slowly taking in the fresh scent of the green apple shampoo she used as it danced out of her hair and onto the wet tile floor.
“Hey Renee, can I borrow some shampoo?” He questioned seductively. The blonde named Renee turned around to where the voice was coming from coming face to face with the big smile of a teenage pervert. “Davis you perverti!” Renee screamed taking the bar of soap and chucking it at his head. “Get out of my salle de bains!”
The altered teenager known as Davis scrambled out of the shower stall as Renee's crystal blue eyes showed unrelenting fury. Renee put on a pink robe tying it around as she stomped out of her shower rage building as Davis continued to stand and gawk at her. “Excuse répugnante pour un être humain!” She bellowed picking up her soap bar and tossing it at him again.
“Hey stop speaking French for once!” Davis retorted dodging the soap bar heading for the door, “and besides this is a coed bathroom!”
“We have different times for both boys and girls to avoid this type of incident you porc!” Renee yelled as Davis escaped from the bathroom with his head still in tact.
Meanwhile an older man with long raven black hair going all the way down to his lower back sat on a metallic chair as he waited, by the look in his gray eyes it had to be important.
He stretched back revealing that under his long red trench coat he had no shirt to cover his pale muscular six-pack. He crossed his legs, which were adorned in semi tight green pants with a black leather belt holding them up, yet his shoes were a casual black dress.
“Now Rydal this injection will relive your cravings for human blood, no matter how much of a vampire you are you can't stop blood lusts when they come.” Another teenage girl informed coming out of a metal locker, but the inside was actually quite larger.
The room itself was a simple laboratory with metal desks and metal chairs placed side by side in the pale gray room. Computers and papers covered the desks as test tubes and beakers covered the longest table, which was placed right above them behind the locker. A metal door was behind Rydal that only allowed access to those with the right fingerprints. Rydal gave a smirk as the girl held the syringe so carefully like it was life itself in her hands.
The lady herself was of Asian origin, anyone could tell by her almond shaped black eyes. Her dark blue hair was placed into a tight ponytail and small-framed glasses covered her black eyes. She wore a white lab coat over a full body pale blue jumpsuit with a nametag on the front reading `Sakura Takei'.
“With the way your holding that liquid I can say you don't want anything bad to happen to me.” Rydal mused as she placed it in his hands; she gave a smirk of her own replying,
“No Rydal I care about my family and the well being of this organization. I can't have a vampire running around and killing everyone.” With that she sat down at a desk in front of him getting right back to work. The mention of family reminded Rydal of Sakura's twin sister Sufi.
“Ah, Sufi I forgot that you two have a powerful psychic link. Whatever pain she feels you feel, whatever horrible thing could be happening to her at any moment you will know. Even visions of each other's days pass through you mind, you two can even use telepathy am I right?” He ranted placing his hands behind his head letting the syringe lay in his lap.
“You knowledge of my gifts is quite handy Rydal, but you still have that medicine to take.” She remarked turning around giving him a slightly annoyed look, “now do I have to play the role of mother?”
Rydal felt quite insulted by the remark taking the needle in his right hand staring inside to see the trivial bubbles popping in the yellow fluid. He took a glance at Sakura's midnight eyes her gaze fixed on what she wants him to do. He gave his own smooth grin taking the needle and stabbing it swiftly into his left wrist, not even rolling up his sleeves to do it. Sakura didn't take her eyes off of Rydal until all of the remedy was in his blood stream. As he took it out tossing it in a nearby biohazard bin Sakura turned back to her computer work with a sense of accomplishment.
“Didn't even hurt.” Rydal commented leaning back into his chair.
“Now that drug only works for twelve hours, if you don't get more of it into your circulatory system then one hour after that you'll start to get the first signs of severe blood lust. Try to take your prescriptions on time.” Sakura chided not even turning around to explain the details. Rydal gave a quark laugh,
“With a nurse like you always on my tail I won't have a problem.”
Sadly Rydal and Sakura's moment didn't last long as Davis used his fingerprints to get into the laboratory, the door slamming shut behind him. His terror stricken face led both of the youths to suspect the same thing
“Peeping in the coed bathroom.” They stated in unison, closing their eyes in aggravation.
“What's worse is that you're in nothing but a bathrobe Davis,” Sakura sighed sliding her glasses up her nose. Davis tightened the tie around his waist defending himself,
“Hey I have a pair of boxers on, I'm not some sicko.” Rydal and Sakura exchanged glances. “Shit, she's coming.” He whispered rushing over to the other side of the room. Through the thick metal door they could clearly hear Renee's enraged outbursts.
“Rat dégoûtant! Garçon perverti pathétique! Je m'assurerai qu'il n'aura jamais des imaginations sexuelles encore! Bâtard horrible” Renee ranted her stomps as loud as her voice. Both Sakura and Rydal's eyebrows perked at her colorful native tongue.
“What's she saying, what's she saying?” Davis begged in a noisy whiny tone.
“It's required to be fluent in foreign languages Davis.” Sakura lectured, “but is you must know Renee called you a filthy rat, a disgusting perverted boy, a horrible bastard, and is threatening to take away what gives you your sexual fantasies.” She listed; Davis's hands went towards his crotch in maternal protection.
“Crap! You guys gotta help me! I mean I've never seen Renee this pissed!” He pleaded clasping his hands together bowing in front of the two.
“Messing with Renee is like waking a sleeping giant Davis.” Sakura pointed out wagging her finger at him.
“Yea but this giant was freaking hot!” Davis argued getting blank and irked stares from his comrades. Rydal was already up from his seat leaning against the doorframe,
“You brought this upon yourself, why should we clean up the messes you make?” He sniped giving Davis a cold glare.
“You can make an I.O.U!” Davis exclaimed, “Sakura can you let me use those wrists bands that make you go intangible?”
“The ethereal bands are not a toy Davis, especially for those who are garçon perverti pathétique.” Sakura mocked taking a quote from Renee.
“Davis viennent hors de vous lâche méchant!” Renee yelled angrily. Sweat began to run down Davis's face as time was quickly running out.
“I don't know what's worse, the fact you ticked off the best gunslinger in the operation or the fact that you have no idea what's she saying right now.” Rydal joked dipping his head down to laugh a bit harder.
“Very funny blood sucker, just let me use the ethereal bands Sakura. I'll…I'll clean the lab for a week…and I'll file your manga for you, uh anyway you want!” Davis consented now on his knees.
Sakura rolled her eyes at Davis grabbing the two metallic bands about the same size as a normal clunky sixties bracelet, except the ethereal bands had two neon green lights on each band signifying when they are in use, and tossing them to Davis. He smiled big as he put both of the bands on, a tingly jolt going through his body as the neon green lights went on.
“Just remember your promise!” Sakura shouted to him as he phased through the metal floors. The timing of his exit was perfect because at that same time Renee was opening the door to the laboratory.
“Y en a-t-il qui a vu Davis? Cet âne sale a piaulé sur le mon dedans la douche!” Renee questioned still emotional and using her native French language.
“We haven't seen Davis at all Renee, now I think you should calm down.” Sakura advised calmly. “Take a deep breath.” Renee did as she was told the redness on her face that was made by her rage and not being able to find Davis dissipating. “Now trying speaking again in English.”
“Thank you for being so caring Sakura, at least someone here is kind and not a porc.” Renee growled her French accent still heavy even in English idiom.
“Perhaps you should get out of that bathrobe and into some clothes unless you want the whole precinct seeing you naked.” Rydal spotted looking at her still drenched dripping body tightly clung to her bathrobe. Renee flushed a bright pink, covering her face with her right hand while her left clung tightly to her robe.
“Je suis si stupide.” She muttered still pink in the cheeks. Click! A deep raspy voice came over the intercom in the center of the ceiling in the laboratory,
“I want everyone in the conference hall at once, I have a new mission for you.”
He stated ending it with a short Click. Soon everyone was in the conference hall, Davis now wearing a dark blue hoody with baggy jeans and black boots. Renee not having anytime to change was still wet in her pink bathrobe, Davis made sure to keep a good distance away from her. The conference hall itself was a white room with a long steel table that had white padded chairs lined around it. Each person took a seat; Rydal seating next to Sakura on the left side with Renee next to him and Davis on the right, across from Sakura trying to avoid the death glares Renee was giving him.
“I appreciate all of you for coming so quickly.” The man from the intercom thanked getting nods from the youths. He looked like he was in his late twenties with a baldhead, peachy skin tone, and deep blue eyes with dark sunglasses over them. His attrite was a black suit with a black tie that had the Celtic tree of life in white at the bottom of it, his shoes were simple black dress.
“Not a problem at all Z.” Renee smiled warming before changing into a dark scowl when she glanced at Davis. He gulped giving a wayward innocent smile back at her. Seeing that Renee was busying making Davis sweat out his own mistake Sakura took the liberty to continue,
“So what's the mission about sir?”
“Glad you asked Sakura,” He nodded snapping his fingers making a hologram of a police report appear in the center of the table. “Do any of you know what this is?”
“A police report of a death, what makes it so special?” Rydal answered his answer showing his enthusiasm for the assignment.
“Because Rydal, when the police went to find the body they discovered it missing.” Z replied, looking around the room to see looks of amazement; even Rydal was somewhat curious.
“Who would want a dead body?” Davis posed resting his elbows on the table.
“Necromancy.” Sakura informed him, getting a curt nod from Z.
“Wait you mean like playing with dead bodies?” Davis gagged turning a little green.
“Well it relatively means using bodies of the deiced to conjure up spirits of the dead for magic or for fortune telling.” A new voice replied with a substantial British accent, walking from the two doors on the opposite side of the room. His dirty blonde hair fell in stray bangs around his eyes and face while the rest was cut angled. Round glasses sat on the rim of his nose showing off his bright jade eyes, he wore a simple white dress shirt with brown khaki pants and brown dress shoes.
“Quite correct Vladimir.” Z smirked motioning him to sit down; he took a seat next to Davis. “Everyone this is Vladimir Helling. He will be working with Sakura and Sufi with making and providing the equipment you'll be using on many of your cases.”
“Nice to meet you Vladimir my name is Sakura Takei.” Sakura bowed her head politely. Vladimir getting up and taking a deep bow before taking his seat again, Rydal was his right hand over his face covering his eyes.
“Sleeping beauty over there is Rydal.” Sakura introduced for him,
“I'm not asleep, I'm just…thinking.” Rydal defended not bothering to move from his position.
“Mon nom est Renee Delancy, il est gentil de vous rencontrer Vladimir.” Renee smiled brightly talking in French once again.
“Rencontrer un ange aussi juste que vous êtes mon cher Renee est un grand trésor que tout dans lui doit pour posséder.” Vladimir beamed giving a seductive smile; Renee blushed a bright pink covering her face with her hands so no one would notice.
“You truly embarrass me Vladimir.” She whispered with a small smile.
“My name is Davis Young you tea coddling four eyed punk.” Davis greeted hostilely giving Vladimir a dirty look.
“Davis, Vladimir is our new colleague! Treat him with respect!” Renee exclaimed her emotions from earlier that day returning.
“Your just impress because he can speak your stupid language.” Davis whined crossing his arms.
“Do not insult the French idiom you uncultured des porcs.” Renee growled slamming her hands on the table.
“Temper Renee.” Z advised motioning her to sit back down; Renee did as she was told but still gave Davis grubby gazes. “Now back to the task at hand, as I was saying before bodies have been disappearing before the police could find them leaving the reports cold cases. Now what all these cases have in common is underground drag racing.” He finished explaining getting looks from everyone.
“Sweet!” Davis blurted before Z went on,
“We dug deep into this before deciding that the underground drag racing circuit was responsible, and found that all of the dead were known to own fast paced muscle cars commonly used in those types of races. Also that the black market is getting into the betting a little too often for my taste.”
“What does the black market have to do with drag racing and missing dead bodies?” Renee repeated puzzled, until a look of realization came upon her face, “unless the black market is stealing the bodies!” Z nodded grimly.
“Yes Renee I'm afraid you're right, I've had my suspensions about this but was never able to pin point it until today.” He snapped his fingers making a picture of middle aged man in a business suit with slicked back black hair and a large unibrow appear in the hologram. “This is Yon Roseboro, he's known to take the bodies of those he's killed because they couldn't make payments and sell them to rich necromancers. Right now most of his business transactions are taking place in the drag racing circuit.”
“So now he's using one of the most deadliest games to his advantage, brilliant.” Vladimir commented intertwining his fingers together while resting his elbows on the table.
“Well if you love that big brow so much then why don't you marry him?” Davis mocked turning his head away from Vladimir.
“Enfant non mûr.” Renee muttered under her breath.
“I want Yon Roseboro's illegal necromancy operation shut down, we have enough trouble with unruly souls running about the world; we don't need restless souls trapped within their own lifeless bodies.” Z explained a little irritated, “Because this involves the supernatural there will most likely be vampires involved so you'll be equipped incase you fights include them.”
“Cool! Zombies, vampires, and fast cars; it's like an action horror movie!” Davis cried out with excitement.
“I'm sorry Davis but you will not be in this field operation.” Z sighed knowing what the youthful spunk would say,
“Say what!” He shouted bolting out of his seat. “That's like totally unfair!”
“We can't risk any screw ups,” Z disputed loudly “no offensive Davis but I am not taking a cheap shot at your tactical skills it's just your” He took a breath before finishing “too young.” Davis mouth hung open like he just saw his childhood pet shot before his eyes.
“That's the lamest excuse ever!” He yelled infuriated.
“I'm sorry Davis but you will have to stay here as tech support. Only Renee and Rydal can keep the image of long time street racers that we need in order to keep this mission under control, and I will not hear more back lip of it.” Z made his word final as Davis crossed his arms in defeat sulking quietly to him. “Now everyone follow me so we can get you equipped.” He shifted the attention of the room to the wall behind him as everyone gathered around.
“Don't gripe about it Davis.” Vladimir assured patting him on the shoulder, “I'm sure the next zombie filled mission you'll be head of the game.” He joked walking off chuckling to himself.
A vein was beginning to form on Davis's head as his anger and frustration grew, he stomped over to where everyone was his eye aflame. Z's eyebrows perked as his emotional outbursts but thought nothing of it as he pressed on the wall making it come up to a small elevator, where everyone got inside. The door shut as fast as it opened, it went down about three more stories underground to where all of the gadgetry for every mission was kept and created.
The sliver door opened to a spacious room, techno music blared from the room. Posters of anime characters and J-pop artists were placed all around the gray walled area. All the way in the far back of the room was a huge table filled with many tools and guns along with various kits to different items. To the right of the group was a small metallic bed attached to the metallic wall, it had a simple lavender pillow and lime green sheets. Walking further they found a Japanese screen covering a Dance Dance Revolution game, exactly like the ones found in the arcade. On the game was Sufi Takei, Sakura's twin sister.
She had her blue hair in two pigtails tied in bright pink bows, she had the same jumpsuit as her sister along with the nametag; only her suit had a pink anime devil kitten sewed on the back of it.
“Ahem.” Z coughed into his hand as everyone had already collected around Sufi's game.
“Oh,” Sufi giggled as she took her cherry lollipop she was licking and sticking it into her mouth, “Hiya Z!” She welcomed jumping off the mat and turning the game off.
“Sufi we need the weapons and supplies for today's operation.” Z reminded getting the Japanese teenager back into gear.
“No problemo!” She quipped giving a thumb up; she jumped onto a scooter riding over to the far back of the room where the table was. She rode around it to where a red button was pressing it.
Immediately a metal shelf with various items and weapons appeared from the flooring. She sped to it pulling out a table to place everything on.
“I've got everything ya need, Z gave me the 411 on the case. For the lady,” she began taking out a clear spray bottle with a clear liquid inside “garlic mace for the vamps, no offensive Rydal.” She told placing it on the table, “next we have ultra violet bullets able to take out a vampire in an instant.” She put a magazine of the bullets down, “along with the trademark sliver bullets,” she showed off the bullets with matching magazine before placing it. “And these nifty silver cross guns making pistol whipping twice as painful.”
She smirked taking out two guns with the handle going all the way up the gun making a perpendicular line to the barrel giving it a cross shape. “Also doused it with holy water, really good to go now.” Sufi put another magazine of ultra violet bullets and silver bullets as Renee loaded up the crossguns with a magazine of each. “For the men,” she started but saw Davis's look of disappointment and anger “man” she corrected staring at Rydal.
“We have some flash bombs, garlic tear gas grenades, and before I forget there might be a few humans in the mix so I have some of my trademark comatose twenty four,” she winked holding out a regular tranquilizer gun. “It has some powerful tranquilizer that can put a person into a comatose state for twenty four hours, so exact you can set your watch to it.” She handed one to Rydal and one to Renee before going on. “Next we've got some handy retractable sliver boomerangs,” she took one out it was shaped like a small boomerang only made out of sliver, she squeezed it slightly and it had blades retract out of the sides; she squeezed again to make them go back in “be careful these things are really sensitive to feel, don't want it to go off in your pants.” She joked handing it to Rydal.
“I don't make mistakes.” He replied coldly.
“Well someone's having mood swings, last but not least these multi-vision clear contacts.” Sufi sang quietly taking out the next item of choice and the contacts, “by only blinking you can change from inferred, to night vision, to body temperature detection.”
“You have thirty minutes before the chopper leaves; Renee, Rydal.” Z nodded walking back to the elevator along with Davis, Sakura, and Vladimir.
“Hold on Rydal I got one more thing for ya.” Sufi stopped the half vampire from leaving, and giving him a stopwatch. “It's set to go off in eleven hours thirty minutes for you know what.”
“That's what I get for having Sakura make my medication.” Rydal sighed taking the tacky blue and hot pink watch strapping it around his left wrist. “Your taste in color leaves much to be desired.”
“Hey, who doesn't love pink?” Sufi joked with a bright smile “Rydal I'll trade ya your syringes for these.” She hummed holding out an orange bottle of pills “Has the same effects as those needles expect easier to take on the go. You can leave the stabbing in the arms for home.” Rydal gave her a look tossing her the case filled with the syringes and snatching the bottle from her. “Ya know you could be a little nicer.”
“I don't do nice.” Rydal mocked walking off leaving Sufi chuckling to herself. “It's a real pain in the ass having twins with mind links.” He whispered entering the elevator.
The night was young as people from different races and cities lined up on the street, the men wearing usual baggy gangster wear and the ladies looking very scandalous in their attire.
“Ainsi excitant!” Renee beamed looking around at all of the muscle cars revving their engines. She now had her hair curled with dark violet eye shadow and ruby lipstick on; she wore a purple tubetop, blue jean short shorts, and strappy purple platform high heel shoes. Rydal glanced over at her outfit giving her a weird look.
“What, I am just trying to blend in. You didn't even change your outfit.”
“People only know me as a racer and you as my girlfriend although you look more like a whore. So yea you do blend in with the crowd.” Rydal remarked heading into the crowd, leaving Renee agape.
“A whore?” She gasped offended, “I am no whore you surgeon anitsocial de sang!” She yelled catching up with him. Rydal walked up past many cars, with both men and women gathered around them admiring the car and the driver.
“Those cars are so beautiful.” Davis drooled over the comlink in Rydal's right ear; it was a clear earpiece used to keep track of field agents from the operation itself. “I can't believe I didn't get to go because I was too young.” He griped, from his computer in the laboratory.
“At least there's a GPS so you can still see the cars.” Sufi declared from her spot next to her sister.
“Rydal there's going to be a undercover agent that will give you your car,” Vladimir informed from his spot next to Davis “He'll have a password.”
“What's the password?” Rydal questioned still squeezing through the crowds with Renee.
“It's Shizuka Kudo.” Sufi told while playing her latest song on her computer.
“Next time I get to pick the password.” Davis whined hating Sufi's taste in music.
“You know ever since I've arrived here you've done nothing but complain Davis Young.” Vladimir noted turning his attention to the American.
“It's what he's best at.” Renee joked over her link.
“By the way Renee are you still mad at me for earlier, because I'm sorry if you are.” Davis apologized awkwardly.
“Yes, but I have cooled off and I do accept your apology Davis.” Renee stated a bit garbled from all of the background noise.
“Phew.” Davis sighed sitting back in his chair wiping some sweat off his forehead.
Meanwhile Rydal was still looking for the undercover agent to get his car.
“This searching is getting us nowhere.” Rydal replied irked, he blinked switching his contacts to body temperature; one out of every ten persons was a dark blue. “But there's plenty of vampires.” Renee switched hers too seeing the various vampires stalking around the track.
“Shizuka Kudo.” A male voice whispered with a deep Bronx accent. Rydal turned his head, his blue eyes meeting black. Before him stood a tall African American with a shaved head, blue basketball jersey over gray hoody, and faded baggy blue jeans with white sneakers.
“Respond with jpop.” Sakura told over the comlink; Rydal inwardly sighed but said it anyway,
“Jpop.”
“Yo must be the agents from Z.” He whispered ushering them over to a secluded alleyway. “My name is Denzel, but here I'm know as Black D no pun intended. Yo know Sufi Takei?”
“Yes she's apart of our team.” Renee notified. “Do you have Rydal's car?”
“Hell yea, man that Sufi is a genius when it comes to making high octane vehicles. I'll yo the low down, follow me.” He waved his hand for them to follow down the alleyway.
“Hey Sufi can you make me a sweet car?” Davis posed from his spot in the laboratory after hearing Denzel's gloating over her workmanship.
“Making that one for Rydal was hard enough, it cost so much money. Wait till ya hear the details.” She reveled in pride. Denzel opening the door to an old broken down warehouse revealing the pride and joy Sufi created with her own two hands.
It was a blood red Dodge Viper with black flames on the sides with the hood up, and ultra violet neon lights on the bottom. Rydal ran his ran across the top of the viper, a playful smirk coming upon his lips.
“Alright Rydal,” Denzel began “yo got the nitro boost, two canisters for that extra jump. Yo can start `em up by pushing those two red buttons on the steering wheel,” he indicated putting an arm around Rydal's shoulder leaning him into the vehicle “yo see the console in the middle?” The half vampire nodded not enjoying the closeness next to Denzel. “Well just tap the top and it'll flip into a control panel for yo weaponry.”
“Will having weapons really be necessary in a drag racing competition?” Renee asked skeptically with her hands on her hips.
“Yo these races are not your video games, my man Rydal here has a fifty percent chance of getting his ass blown up.” Denzel clarified, much to Renee's distaste in his idiom. “Now back to them goodies.” He smirked smacking the top of the console getting it to flip over into the control panel; it had various buttons lighting up at random. “Yo got oil slick shooters, sticky shock spurts; like them ones the police use yo might want to watch out for `em when racing, machine guns, small missile launchers, and ultra violet headlights to take care of `em fanged lechers on the road, no offensive Dracula.” He explained with a cheeky grin.
“Whatever.” Rydal shrugged pulling his head out of the car after Denzel switched the console back.
“Really I mean missile launchers? Rydal do you think that those will be needed?” Renee questioned astonished.
“Yo can't be too careful out on these roads, yo better head on out `em races are going get fired up soon. I'll bring this nice momma out for yo.” Denzel offered as the two took their leave.
“Before we go,” Renee stopped turning to face Denzel, “do you know how I can get closer to Yon Roseboro?”
“Yo mean the big boss of this race?” He repeated shocked, “nope my job was to blend in and after all this work not even close to the man. Guess that's why Z sent you two huh?”
“We'll find out how to get to him Renee.” Sakura guaranteed over the comlink beginning to work on finding Yon Roseboro's location. She typed his name into a GPS tracking system, “let's see Yon Roseboro…” A satellite orbiting the earth locked onto his position beaming it back to Sakura's computer. “Ah ha! He's in the city about twenty miles southeast of your location.”
“Great but that tells us squat about where he exactly is at.” Davis pointed out nonchalantly,
“He's staying at the Ritzplaza Hotel” Vladimir added Davis gave him a irritated look, “I merely just typed in the location and found the nearest hotels since he's a wealthy man and I can't see a man of his statue hanging around gangsters and vampires…”
“Yea, yea we get it Sherlock Holmes.” Davis interrupted,
“Well if I'm Sherlock then that makes you Watson.” Vladimir shot back glancing at Davis who was becoming red with anger.
“Well at least I'm not some cookie eating snob!” Davis insulted loudly over the comlink,
“We call them biscuits in England.” Vladimir retorted getting Davis more whiled up. Renee sighed rolling her eyes as she was forced to listen to Vladimir and Davis bicker like children.
“Would you two stop acting like children and focus on the mission!” Sakura barked making the two shut up.
“He started it.” Davis pouted getting back to work. Renee looked at Rydal who heard the commotion as well.
“I sympathize for you having to baby-sit Sakura, I do hope Z pays for your extra work.” Rydal remarked over the link.
“Shut it blood sucker!” Davis yelled the vein on his forehead growing even bigger. Finally Renee and Rydal managed to get back to the track after dealing with the problems in the base.
“I'll have to find some way to get to Roseboro,” Renee muttered to Rydal.
“Denzel managed to find out that Mr. Roseboro is quite the womanizer.” Rydal told as Denzel himself drove out with the car. “He'll help you get closer to him while I take to the streets. You see the black muscle car with the green neon and blood red blotches on the sides,” he pointed to the car in the center of the line up with many women surrounding it.
“Yes.” Renee acknowledged,
“He's the racer for Roseboro, no one ever beats him and from what Black D told me he has a reputation for playing dirty.” Rydal commented,
“He has too, if he's too get the dead bodies for Roseboro's black market.” Renee growled glaring at the car.
“Yo Rydal, blonde momma!” Black D called from their car next to Roseboro's star moneymaker.
“I prefer if you do not refer to me like that.” Renee snarled giving Black D a frown.
“Whoa calm yo sweet ass down,” Black D motioned with his hands making Renee more upset. “I'm going yo into Roseboro's crib, I know a guy who takes bets for the man and I'm going to get yo a first class seat.”
“Then let's get a move on, I'm sick of waiting around.” Renee sniped crossing her arms over her chest. Black D nodded, jumping out of the car as Rydal got in. “You better not get yourself killed Rydal.”
“I think you should worry for the other drivers.” Rydal smoothly exclaimed buckling himself in. Everyone scattered to the sides of the road, as the drivers got ready for the big event. A Latin woman with a skimpy white top and skirt came out eyeing the entire group.
“Hey pretty boy!” A Hispanic man called from his car left of Rydal, the only thing Rydal could see of him was the backwards baseball cap on his head. His car was in addition a muscle car; it was blue with yellow lighting strikes across the side and on the hood. “You think your gonna to win? I've seen better cars at a scrap heap! Why don't you go back to your gay bar and have sex with some men.” Rydal glowered deeply at him his grip on the steering wheel tightening. “Oh scary, I think I just wet myself!” He laughed obnoxiously.
The Latin woman raised her hands giving each driver a look of seduction before lowering them to the ground signaling the drivers to go. Immediately all took off in a blaze of skid marks and dust.
“Yo come on French honey,” Black D grabbed Renee's arm dragging her in to the back of the crowd, she watched as Rydal drove off at an amazing speed.
“Rydal be careful of anyone using weapons like your own.” Sakura warned from over the comlink.
“I think I can handle a race on my own Sakura.” Rydal replied cutting ahead taking third place in the pack.
“Well we want you to win so you can get closer to Roseboro.” Sakura chided watching from the computer.
“My abilities are enough without any help. I'm not a simple human.” Rydal disagreed speeding up,
“But you still have your limitations Rydal, this is a team effort.” Sakura stated getting a little mad at Rydal's words.
“Well I think I can deal with this alone Sakura.” Rydal finished taking out his comlink cutting them off with the GPS on him and with communication.
“What?” Davis gaped looking at the small screen that used to be of Rydal's comlink go blank. “Did he…did he just cut us off?” He stammered pointing at his screen still confused. Sakura clutched her fists tightly fighting back tears of frustration,
“Control you anger Sakura, I don't want to have a nagging feeling of being pissed in the back of my head.” Sufi calmed through their telepathic link. “Ya know how Rydal can get, you just have to trust him. It's all we got.” Sakura took a deep breath releasing her hands, her sister's serenity helped ease her antagonism.
Rydal was now next to the Hispanic man who insulted him earlier, he looked at him giving him the finger as he pressed a button on the side of his door. Unexpectedly two drills came out of his wheels trying to stab into Rydal's. Rydal stepped on the gas speeding ahead of the man preventing any damage.
“You think that'll stop me fag.” He cackled flipping a red switch on his steering wheel. A large machine gun came out from under his hood,
“Oh shit.” Rydal cursed steering away as the gun began to fire, the Hispanic was now on his tail firing his gun like crazy. He pounded down on his console pressing a glowing blue button; his back bumper came up releasing thousands of nanonites. They attacked the guy's tires eating away the rubber leaving him with nothing but hubcaps.
“Mother fucking faggot!” He yelled out his window as Rydal picked up speed. Rydal soon caught up with the rest of the racers, they were now in the part of the race that involved heavy traffic. Rydal weaved around many people to avoid a head on collision, which sadly came upon many racers and innocent families.
“I'm still too far to take first, but it's too soon to use the nitrous especially in this traffic.” He spoke to himself trying to formulate a plan, swerving around cars didn't help his thinking. He took a sharp left turn in an intersection at a red light getting some unwanted attention. Red lights flashed in his rearview mirror, along with a siren. “Son of a bitch.”
“This is Los Angeles Police stop your vehicle at once!” A booming voice from the car ordered.
“Sorry but I have a race to win.” Rydal replied smoothly pressing a green button, his license plate flipped up as a tube came out squirting out a large oil slick in front of the police car. The cop spun around landing on the slippery spot, he made a hard brake watching the criminal get away.
“This is Sergeant Miles, I need back up I repeat I need back up. High speeder going down the interstate takes serious precaution.” Sergeant Miles demanded through his communicator.
Red wine flowed out of the 1891 bottle, into a crystal glass held by Yon Roseboro. The scantily dressed maid gave a pouty smile returning to his side as another maid kept him cool by waving a fan. He watched from his large window the racers going by, his car in the lead.
“As always Aurel is going to make me a rich man.” He gloated sinking into his red velvet seat. A light tapping came at his white doors, “come in.” He called as a pale gothic man in his early twenties with spiky black hair and many piercing came in, his black hoody and black pants dragging on the ground. “What do you want Slime?”
“I brought a nice young lady who wanted to make your acquaintance.” He replied leading Renee in.
“Damn talk about swanky!” Davis blurted once again taking in the surroundings of his hotel room; there was a bar to the left, and a huge kitchen to the right.
“Shut up Davis or you'll ruin her cover!” Vladimir shushed giving him a glare, Renee hearing everything from her comlink. Roseboro got up from his seat liking the new company.
“I see, what's your name my dear.” He purred stroking Renee's cheek.
“Rachel.” Renee lied moving his hand away, “I just wanted to see the man behind the legend.”
“Enjoying Aurel's talent's I see.” Roseboro laughed, “but remember without me he'd still be six feet under.” That remark caught everyone's attention
“Six feet under, you don't think that Roseboro's man is a…” Sufi posed grossed out,
“Zombie.” Sakura finished gravely, “that might be true, Renee will have to do some more digging to find out. But the real question is how.” Renee was pondering about Roseboro's words too,
“Something wrong Rachel?” Roseboro asked looking over his shoulder, she shook her head no joining him at his side. “You know you are quite stunning, how would you like to join me for a little wine?”
“I'd love too.” Renee smiled seductively, taking a seat by his side a maid was about to get the drinks when Renee got up “oh no please allow me to make the drinks for a man of such dominance.”
“If you're trying to please me” Roseboro turned to look at her Renee getting a twinge of panic “then your doing a good job.” Renee inwardly sighed in relief that she wasn't caught so soon.
In the meantime Rydal was now dodging many police cars, going over a hundred miles. He knew he was far from the track, and now this.
“Stop your vehicle at once!” Sergeant Miles yelled for the millionth time.
“If I didn't stop the first fifty times what makes you think I'd do it now?” Rydal remarked looking in the rearview mirror to the many cars. He looked ahead at the now empty interstate, there was still a chance he could win but it was slim. “It's now or never.” He breathed pressing the two nitrous buttons at once, in a burst of speed he shot off at speed doubling what his speedometer was at. Sadly the police know all too well of drag racer's tricks so the sergeant and two other police cars used their nitrous too, it was expense but they think it was worth it.
“Stop right now!” Miles yelled quickly catching up to Rydal.
“Oh come on!” Rydal sighed in disbelief; he went to the control panel flipping a switch. Out from his side of the car came many sticky shockers, they caught side of Miles' car frying everything shutting it down completely. He slammed his fists on his dashboard as the other two cars came up from behind. The other policemen were shocked when the speeder merged in with two other racers, going at speeds surpassing his. They overcame the shock promptly going after all three of them.
Renee poured the glasses of wine, swiftly placing some sodium pentothal, truth serum, in his drink. He gave the tainted glass to Roseboro taking the clean one for her.
“I'd like to make a toast, to a wealthy life and fabulous women!” He laughed tapping glasses with Renee. He took a large gulp contently but the drug worked fast as he dropped his glass the wine spilling everywhere.
“Roseboro!” Slime called, as Renee took out the tranquilizer gun from under her tubetop and shooting both maids in the neck knocking them out at once. “You're a damn agent aren't you?”
“I am Renee Delancy of the Paranormal Bureau and you are under arrest for illegal necromancy.” Renee stated her authority pointing the gun at Slime's head. “Roseboro's black market operation is over, no one else will die for his greed.”
“You think that will work against me?” Slime remarked giving a fanged grin.
“Vampire!” Renee gasped as Slime jumped her; she did a cartwheel to evade his attack landing on one hand pulling out a cross gun from her tube top and shooting one ultra violet bullet from its barrel. The bullet landed right between Slime's eyes, his body seizure as it began to disintegrate turning into nothing but bones and dust within his clothing. Renee blew softly on her gun placing it back into the hidden holsters in her tube top.
“What, Rachel what's going on?” Roseboro questioned his voice slurred from the drug.
“Just some difficulties with your staff, Yon.” Renee answered getting in front of him. “Now tell me about Aurel you master driver.”
“He's the best around,” Roseboro replied, “I didn't even need to train him, he has plenty of experience.”
“No, where did Aurel come from.” Renee corrected slamming a palm beside the right of his head.
“From the dead my dear.” He put with a smirk on his lips.
“That answers that question,” Davis stated hearing Roseboro's reply along with everyone else. “Hey maybe now it doesn't matter if Rydal cut us off.” Sakura gave him a look getting back to getting in touch with the rogue agent.
“Renee try to get Roseboro to tell you who brought Aurel back.” Vladimir informed into his comlink.
“I was about to do so, humph I'm not some amateur I can handle a little interrogation on my own.” Renee disputed, “Now Yon who exactly brought Aurel back from the dead.”
“Promise not to tell my French flower?” He snickered, getting a nod from the impatient Renee, “it was from a gifted necromancer named Dallan. He even placed a spell on Aurel to make him obey my every order.”
“Sufi get some background on Dallan, if he's a necromancer then he should be in the data base.” Vladimir ordered hearing the name; the girl nodded quickly getting to work.
“What, Vlad he's not here.” Sufi responded shocked,
“Impossible!” Vladimir gasped as Sakura joined at his sister's side to help,
“She's right Vladimir, we have no information on anyone named Dallan.” She agreed with a look of puzzlement.
“But the higher ups told me that this database is filled with all the information of every supernatural criminal in the known world.” Vladimir retorted, “unless Dallan has been able to advert our data for some time.”
“Or he didn't become a villain until now.” Davis piped leaning back in his chair; everyone gave him a look. “What?”
“Davis you, you might be right.” Sakura gaped disbelieving the fact that the biggest slacker might actually be smart.
“Not on our database?” Renee repeated to herself hearing the conversation over her comlink. “Yon, tell me everything you know about Aurel.” She leaned in with a dark look in her eyes.
In the meantime Rydal was still trying to get past the last two racers in order to win, there was only three minutes left until they reached the finish and he was no where close. What was worse it that the police cars still hasn't given up.
“I can't kill innocent bystanders.” Rydal muttered to himself, “even if they are damn pigs.” His eyes widened as the job of getting rid of the police was going to be done for him. The leading car's trunk lifted up exposing a huge missile launcher, Rydal was frozen in place as he stared into the cannon of the massive weaponry.
All of a sudden as quickly as it came the missile shot off hitting the racer next to him, exploding in a mass of fire and metal. The twisted form was shot into the air landing on one of the police cars causing it to crash into the other. Rydal was about to attack with his own missiles when another came right at him, in a flash of light and fire his car went up too smashing into the other heaps of metal as the first place driver continued on.
Renee was shaken as what felt like an earthquake rocked the hotel.
“Ce qui dans le monde?” Renee pondered in her native tongue, looking out the window too see a huge fire of metal explode right in front of her. She leapt back covering her eyes, “Saint dieu dans ciel!” She yelled in surprise, “Rydal! Rydal this is Renee what in the name of heaven in going on in that race?” All she could get was static making her worst fears a reality. “Rydal, no vous pouvoir non être mort.” Renee whispered tears swelling up in her eyes.
“Look at it this way, if you friend is dead then Dallan can bring him back.” Roseboro joked, which was a really bad idea. Sound of metal clashing and a barrel to his face Roseboro shut up. Renee had her other cross gun, filled with silver bullets right on his forehead her finger twitching to fire.
“Shut up, vous fils un chienne! Être tout votre défaut être, aller!” She screamed hot salty tears flowing freely from her eyes now. Bam! Four men dressed in similar black jumpsuits knocked down the door; they had rifles drawn.
“Mr. Roseboro we got the distress call!” The one in front yelled pointing his gun at Renee. “Drop the gun now bitch, and don't try to call your friends for help. The signals have been blocked ever since the explosion!”
“Slowly put your gun down and maybe we won't kill you.” Another on the leader's left side cackled with a fanged smile.
“Vampires…” Renee rumbled her hand moving towards her other gun, her eyes not moving away from the group. A shot rang through the room as the glass behind Renee shattered,
“I saw that.” The leader mocked smoke bellowing from his rifle. “Now be a good girl and don't move.”
“You are messing with the wrong girl today boys.” Renee sounded speedily taking her gun out as they started firing she ducked behind the drugged Roseboro as the bullets continued to rang down. “Are you really going to risk your boss's life?” The leader motioned them to lower their guns as they halted firing.
“Sneaky witch.” The leader snarled,
“I wonder who tipped them off.” Renee thought as one of the maids scurried to the kitchen for a knife. “Bingo.” She purred taking out one of her ultra violet bullet and tossing it into the air. She shot it with the gun in her right hand, causing a blinding light to flood the room. The entire vampires hissed in pain clutching their eyes as the bullet exploded. Renee took that time to move shooting the men on the right and left in the heart with her right gun. Their anguish cries filled the room as they burned into nothingness.
As the light faded the leader of the gang noticed that two of his men were dead.
“What the hell! That bitch is good.” He grinned looking around the room for Renee. He pointed at the remaining man, then to the right where the maids in the kitchen were while he went left. Renee was hiding behind the bar, taking out her garlic mace. She gave a curt whistle to the leader who was right in front of the bar. He bent down looking over the bar only to get a dose of garlic in his eyes. He screamed in pain dropping his rifle, as the garlic stun his retinas. The lone man on the other side of the room began firing at the bar wildly. During the chaos another man in all black including a black mask that covered all but his dead white eyes came through the broken window grabbing Roseboro and taking him out of the gun fighting. All the while Renee was covering her head from falling glass of broken alcohol bottles.
Renee crouched down going over the left side of the bar, the lone vampire with the rifle still firing like crazy. With deadly accuracy Renee shot him in the right leg with the left gun, the one filled with silver bullets.
“Ah!” He yelled falling to the ground the rifle skidding to where the empty chair of Roseboro was. He held his leg as some of the damaged skin burned away into ashes falling from his leg. The leader had now recovered from his innocent with the garlic finding his last teammate on the ground holding his right leg in pain.
“Shit.” He cursed looking around for his fallen gun, he sneered in triumph seeing his rifle. But stopped as Renee's right foot landed on it, she smacked her right gun across his face smoldering his left cheek. He clutched it as some of it fell as vestiges to the floor.
“Ah! Damn bitch! You fucking humans will all die! Hell is waiting for…” Bang! The vampire on the floor blurting out profanities at Renee didn't even get to finish as she blew out his brains with the gun that had silver bullets. Her crystal blue eyes never absented from the leader as she fired. Her cross gun with ultra violet bullets fired right into the leader's heart, he fell backwards becoming a ashy skeleton upon impact to the floor. Renee sighed brushing a strand of blonde curls from her face as she put her guns back into the holsters under her tube top.
She turned to where Roseboro was sitting only to find it empty,
“Dammit à tous!” She shouted looking out the broken window the wind blowing the smoke bellowing from the flaming vehicles as fire engine trucks arrived at the scene. She lost the man she was supposed to capture, her partner was dead, and she had absolutely no contact with her teammates to get backup with. More hot tears streamed down her face as she clutched her fists quaking with emotion, “Rydal you bâtard pourquoi vous avez dû mourir? Maintenant quel suis-je a supposé pour faire?”
“Well that was quite colorful.” A dark masculine voice called from the doorway. Renee turned around to see Rydal bruised cut up and missing his coat but other than that he was fine.
“Rydal! Your alive!” Renee beamed running up to him looking like she was about to hug him, slap! A large red handprint was scared across his left cheek as Renee stood there glowering at him. Rydal put a hand to his stinging face, stunned by her actions “Comment le défi vous m'effrayent comme cela! J'ai pensé que vous étiez mort!”
“Well luckily for me I managed to jump out of the car before it was hit by Roseboro's prized racer, it took out two police cars and another racer. My guess is that he won by now.” Rydal explained putting his hands in his pockets.
“Aurel,” Renee murmured looking down, “wait police? How did the law get involved?” Rydal looked up at the ceiling brushing a strand of black hair from his face as Renee waited for an answer, “Rydal, did you provoke the police force?”
“Hey I was just trying to win the damn race.” Rydal defended crossing his arms,
“Well why didn't you try and get Sakura or Vladimir to get rid of them. Our technology is capable of that.” Renee posed placing her hands on her hips. Rydal closed his eyes reopening his sapphire irises before telling
“I, I got rid of my comlink.”
“Vous avez fait ce qui” Renee gasped covering her mouth with a hand, “Vous ne pouvez pas faire qu'il est contre des règlements et plus la façon dont est chacun qui va savoir si vous blessez ou nécessitant l'aide.”
“They were getting on my nerves okay!” Rydal snapped punching the doorway, “I know it's against the damn regulations!”
While the two were bickering one of the maids managed to get a butcher's knife and sneak up behind Renee, she was right where her left Achilles atentend was. With a swift fluid movement Rydal had his sword right against her throat crouched down next to the maid. She dropped the knife as Renee jumped back drawing her guns.
“Vous chienne saucy!” Renee sniped getting ready to fire.
“I suggest not trying that again.” Rydal directed his sword getting dangerously close to her jugular.
“I know it was you who set of the alarm.” Renee exclaimed readying her cross guns. “Now tell me where they took Roseboro!” The maid hissed at Renee revealing her razor sharp fangs. “Is everyone he employed a vampire?” She questioned in disbelief and in annoyance.
“Ah, ah, ah.” Rydal warned pushing her back with his left arm as his right, holding the silver bladed sword, went closer to her jugular. “This blade is pure silver, one cut and your dead and my French deity has both silver and ultra violet bullets each one can reduce you to a pile of ashes. Now be a good maid and obey your superiors.”
“I have no idea where Roseboro went, and if killing an innocent will make you bigger in your pants then do it.” She criticized,
“You're a vampire you're no innocent.” Rydal retorted,
“And you're a half breed, all of our strengths none of our weaknesses. Except one, say when was your first lust like?” She purred hatefully. Rydal hit her in the ribs with his fist, wanting to kill her right then.
“Rydal no, we can take her in as a prisoner. Although it would be nice but we can't kill every vampire.” Renee chided taking out her tranquilizer gun. “Because you are a vampire one of these won't do you in but two just might.” She shot two of the darts in the maid's neck making her unconscious.
“I'd love to kill all vampires.” Rydal sneered hosting her limp body over his shoulder.
“I think mindless blood splatter isn't a perfect way to avenge what they did to you Rydal.” Renee spoke softly, “Z would want at least one pure blooded vampire to use for medical testing.” Rydal nodded exiting the room, both forgetting all about the second maid.
“There good, but not good enough.” A malicious voice stated from the shadows, out came a man in his early twenties wearing a black hooded cloak; his eyes were blood red with a yellow ring around the pupil and his hair was an unruly brunette.
“Dallan.” The maid bowed on her hands and knees, “The two agents captured Cilia.”
“Leave her, she was nothing but a sex object to that idiotic mortal.” He snapped his fingers and a man dragging Roseboro came out from the window. It was the same one who saved him from before. “Roseboro I thought you could handle something as body snatching for my operation.”
“Please Dallan, don't kill me I can still get you more bodies!” Yon begged from the floor. “You can have Aurel! I know he saved my life from being killed from that blonde bitch but you can have him if you spare my life!”
“You fool,” Dallan smirked snapping his fingers again, this time Aurel grabbed Yon Roseboro's neck hosting him into the air. “Aurel was under my control the whole time. I knew that sooner or later those damn agents would come. I hoped that he was able to kill that half vampire, making him apart of my undead collection would prove to be useful. But alas he failed, like you. But unlike Aurel you have outlived your usefulness, I only kept you alive to draw the halfing out. With your record with the black market it was only a matter of time.”
Dallan elucidated as Aurel's grip on Roseboro tightened. “With this failed operation I have to go back into hiding until the time is right.” With that he exited snapping his fingers as Aurel crushed Roseboro's windpipe. The maid cried out in fear as she watched her boss die in a most gruesome way, blood pouring out of his mouth like a broken dam as Aurel tossed his corpse next to her.
“Don't cry my dear,” Dallan cooed kneeling down before her “you will soon be joining him.” He smiled evilly as Aurel crept up behind her.
