The man
Tears once were flowing freely down her face... but now they are just stains, out of place, and out of mind.
She has been left alone again, no one was there to hear her scream, no one was there hours on end as that terrible man struck her again and again.
He grabbed her throat and pulled her hair, looked at her with lust filled eyes, and at that moment all she wanted to do was die, she was tired of living, exhausted and broken beyond repair, all she wanted was to be free... to be free of this man and his beatings, of this torture, she couldn't feel the pain anymore, her body was numb as she lay sprawled out on the floor, eyes and cheeks swollen lips cracked and bleeding.
She heard him go up the stairs... and thought to herself... so he is done for a while... and I can rest... and with that last thought she had died... she welcomed it wholly and happily... she was free of this terrible man, free of his beatings and his groping hands, her soul left her body and stood with open arms as the morning light came in and then... she was gone
