Drain

Tired
So tired
This place has me emotionally drained
I want to curse my nature
I wish that I could stay
But my soul keeps longing me to go
Leave behind the things I know
Travel different roads.
Things would be so much easier
If I lacked the will to roam

Tired
So tired
Of all that lies between
I wish I could but go away
Leave everything behind
Let my feet take me home
To where my soul resides

Let me rest my tired body
In never ending rest.
Passion sends me on my way
Knowing I will be with you

I pray that you remember
The promises we made
That we'd be together
Until the final days

The soul grows stronger yet
Feeling the time is soon
The feet trudge down the sacred path
That only I do know

Ahead of my lies the place
Away from the draining mortal worlds
Somewhere I can rest.
