Warnings: None really. More of a interlude type deal than a chapter, but hey, who's checking? This actually takes place right before the events of Chapter 1, and I would have made it a prologue but I wrote it after the first chapter! ^_^( I know I said that ch.1 would have 2 parts, but I decided it didn't need it. So there is no ch.1b. Just wanted to let people know)

AN: *emphasis*

Floating soundlessly, a small, almost translucent blue being crept into the bedroom of the sleeping Lord Catarle. Closer inspection revealed that the tiny being was a fairy, or something very much like it. Wings that were almost as big as the being itself sprouted from her back. Large violet eyes narrowed in speculation as she glared distastefully at the sleeping figure in the bed. Long lavender hair trailing behind her, she landed on the pillow that the human's head was resting on. Laying one tiny palm on his cheek she entered his dream, and therefore his subconscious.

When she was done she quickly flew back to her charge's room. She had *not* wanted to do that, and she was sure it was against at least *some* of the laws that governed her people, the Felare. Well, if worst came to worst, she could always explain that Tres wouldn't take the hint! She'd been showing Akira to him for a week now, and he still wouldn't *DO* anything!

Suddenly she convulsed into a twisted ball, mouth open in a silent scream as the magic of the planet ripped and tore. When it was finally over she shivered in horror at the size of the new imbalance. She looked down at the young man who had saved the world before and who could save it again now. But only with Akira! Without him, the strain would prove too much, and Tres would snap. Tres needed Akira, and confidence, before he could even hope to regain his lost powers..., and memories. She only hoped that it would be enough. Curling herself up on the pillow next to Tres' head, she gently traced what she could reach of his lips, before activating his repressed memories, hoping that this time, it would work.
