Jealousy and Just a Bad Weekend Overall
They were in an open field by the house where he had lived before the unexplainable happened, before his life had changed drastically, before his mother had gotten filthy rich from his father‘s will and before she bought her own company and inherited his father‘s...
There were little daffodils swaying from an afternoon breeze. They were beckoning the bees to come, come so they could pollinate the other flowers around them so more would grow to see a bright and shining day.
There was a little boy and a man, playing as the sun shone brightly on the two joyous ones. The smaller boy was a tiny replica of the man that now held him. The same eyes, hair, smile, laugh.
And that was what the little one was doing now…
Laughing, the small brunette reached up to the sky with a grin spread across his little face. Two strong hands were securely fastened onto the cinnamon-haired boy’s hips as they lifted him up and down, spinning him around occasionally.
“HAHA! DADDY HIGHER!”
The man complied as he lifted his son above his own nest of cinnamon brown spikes, shadowing the man‘s eyes from the blazing sun. The little boy continued to laugh even as he was brought down into the man’s arms in a loving embrace.
“I love you Sora…” Cobalt met cobalt as Sora giggled and poked his father’s nose.
“Love you too, Daddy!”
Things couldn’t get any better than this…
“Are you ready to go inside?” His father asked and Sora shook his head, having another idea in mind.
“Let’s play Horsey!” The man holding little Sora laughed and placed Sora onto the ground as he bent down on one knee.
“Alrighty partner! Up and at ’em!” Sora giggled at his daddy’s attempt at sounding like a cowboy and he eagerly raced behind his father, jumping on his back as he gripped the man’s shirt and wrapped his little legs around his waist.
“Giddy up!”
Abruptly, Sora screamed as he was torn off his daddy’s back and in the arms of someone else. His daddy flickered on and off like a old dusty lamp before he disappeared and Sora cried for him to come back…
But he never did.
He struggled against the one holding him and the strong arms loosened, allowing the boy to move away. Sora fell to his knees in the spot where his father had just disappeared and a lone tear raced down his cheek, landing on the grassy ground.
What was going on?
“Sora…”
That voice…
“Sora…look at me. Look at your new father…”
Heart welling up in his chest, Sora shook his head, tears brimming in his eyes. There was no way he was getting a new father! He didn’t want one!
But the brunette turned…despite the little nagging voice in his head and his gaze fell on…that bastard.
“What would your father say if he saw you now?” The white-haired man grinned, orange eyes peering at Sora with something akin to amusement.
“What would he say about someone as worthless as you…?”
Sora held back a cry as he heard those hurtful words. His father…
His father was dead…
Looking at his hands (and noticing he wasn‘t little anymore), Sora clenched them, feeling sudden fury towards the one standing before him. He hated this man…making his mother happy…
That was his fucking job…
“Ah…but all you’ve done is make your mother cry…” Ansem said as if he was reading Sora’s mind. Sora snapped his head up to gaze blankly in those amused orange eyes. “All she sees is your dead father…”
“She doesn’t even see you…”
Choking back a cry, Sora shook his head, bangs falling in front of his face to hide the tears that were about to burst. “No…”
“Yes…” Ansem hissed, walking over to the boy and resting a hand on his nest of hair, petting the brunette gingerly. “That’s all she sees…”
“No!” Sora swatted the hand away and shook his head in denial, body quivering from his sobs. “NO!”
Laughing, Ansem turned his back on the crying boy and waved. “You’ll see…”
Silence.
This was not suppose to happen…
When Sora looked up again, Ansem was gone and in his place was none other than the Prince, himself, shaking his head at the brunette in front of him.
“R-Riku?”
“Hey Rich Boy…” The silver-haired one replied, crossing his arms against his chest. “Why are you crying? Spent too much of that immense cash supply you currently have? Or did your mommy ground you?”
I hate you…
“AHHH!” Rushing up to the boy, Sora attempted to punch him, but Riku caught his fist in his hand, all the while sporting a smirk.
“What’s wrong? Did I hit a nerve?”
Sora threw another punch, only for Riku to dodge it. “YOU BASTARD!”
Chuckling, Riku continued to smirk. “Is that anyway to treat a Prince? I thought your daddy taught you better manners…”
“Shut up!” Tears streaming down his face, Sora fell to his knees, hands now covering his face in an attempt to hide his tears.
Why was this happening…?
“Aww…poor Rich Boy. Well, have fun with that new horny boyfriend of yours! I’m sure he’s willing to get into your pants and dump you when you least expect it.” Sora looked up, mild shock on his tear damp face as Riku waved good bye and disappeared…
Just like his father…
Just like Ansem…
And now…Sora was alone…
And all he wanted was s-
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
Body tensing as he awoke from his dream (or should he say nightmare), Sora reached out a shaky hand and tapped the snooze button on his alarm clock. Gaze now on the black object, Sora read: ‘6:35’ in big neon numbers.
Damn…he forgot to turn off his alarm last night after his little…‘episode’ with his mother and that…man. Oh! He couldn’t forget the bathroom too since his stupid boyfriend left him horny as hell…
Calm down Sora…you’ll be okay…you just had a bad night! Today is Saturday…it’ll be a LOT better!
Hanging on to those hopeful thoughts, Sora decided to just start his day early and get a few things accomplished.
Like doing his Science Project.
So pulling the covers away and sleepily pacing over to his light switch, Sora felt it as he brushed his fingertips against the wall and he flipped it on, shielding himself with an arm from the light’s vicious rays on his hardly awake eyes.
Sora sighed and walked over towards his book bag, stopping as his foot hit it. Unzipping it and pulling out the necessary items, He went back over to his bed and plopped down on it, his body relaxing as it hit the soft mattress. He laid his head on a pillow and opened his book, thumbing through it until he had arrived at the right page.
Uranus' atmosphere is about 83% hydrogen, 15% helium and 2% methane.
Skipping a few paragraphs, Sora continued to read and write down little notes as he went.
Uranus' blue color is the result of absorption of red light by methane in the upper atmosphere. There may be colored bands like Jupiter's but they are hidden from view by the overlaying methane layer.
“Hmm…” Pencil scribbling against the white lined paper, Hours passed (though it seemed like minutes to Sora) and the brunette’s mind drifted back to the nightmare that he wanted to forget.
What could it possibly mean?
Was it about his fears? His doubts?
Maybe a little bit of both?
Sora shook his head. There was no way that they were his fears or doubts. Come on! That…man was not going to replace his father…
Because no one and he meant NO ONE could replace his father.
Never…
Steering off that topic as he felt tears burn his eyes, Sora thought about what Riku said and frowned.
Tidus wouldn’t do that…
Would he?
“Argh!” Throwing his pencil across the room, Sora gripped his nest of hair in frustration. Why the hell were these things getting to him? His father died almost a year ago, that white-haired bastard would be thrown out the house in no time and Tidus wouldn’t desert him! He even said he loved Sora! Why would he do something like that?
Breathe…
Sora was totally unaware that he was holding his breath until his lungs protested and demanded oxygen. He gasped in large pants, chest heaving.
Alright…this was just ridiculous…
Just focus on your work Sora…you’ll be fine…it’s not a big deal.
But he knew it was…
Knock. Knock.
Whispering a small, “Come in…”, Sora’s eyes met the brunette girl that told him his mother wasn’t dining with him a few days back. Chelsea bowed, showing her deepest respect towards him and she lifted her head.
“Breakfast is ready Master Sora.”
“Thank you…”
With a nod, she left and Sora was alone once again.
Alright…breakfast…food will push away my worries!
Grabbing a shirt so he would at least be somewhat decent when he arrived for breakfast (because he didn’t think the servants wanted to see him in his boxers only), Sora slipped it on and sighed.
Well here goes nothing…
So smiling as he headed down to breakfast and ambling towards the dining room, Sora felt ultimately better, as he seemed to forget his nightmare and everything that happened last night.
But…
Then they resurfaced as quickly as his gaze fell on one thing…
Or should he say being…
The white-haired bastard…
What the hell was he doing here? What if he stayed here last night?
Sora’s eyes widened at the thought.
Or even…slept here with his mo-
No…stop thinking that!
“Sora! Come sit down or your breakfast will get cold!”
Eyes as wide as saucer plates, Sora shook his head, now aware that his mother was in the room and once again…she was speaking to him.
Whoo…this just gets better and better.
Though his heart swelled in his chest with immense happiness, Sora’s brain still didn’t comprehend the fact that his mother was smiling and laughing or even the fact that she wasn’t scowling and being anti-social towards him.
Again…this was a little new to him, since after his father’s death she didn’t even have the guts to comfort him or even tell him about the unexpected death (but he wouldn‘t go there, at least…not when he tried to seem happy in front of his mother).
Now noticing he was just standing in the doorway, Sora slowly walked over towards his chair. Gripping the chair in his hands, Sora pulled it back and sat down, away from his mother and ‘The White-Haired Bastard’.
That would be his new title from now on…
He liked it rather well…
“So Sora.” His mother began, smile spread across her pretty face. “I think we should do something today, that is before our date tonight.”
Sora shuddered.
“Uh…yeah mom…that sounds…” He paused and looked towards the white-haired man, who was calmly sipping on his orange juice, orange eyes studying Sora. “Great…”
“Well…what would you like to do?” She asked, watching Sora as she daintily ate her food. “ I was thinking we could go to the park and then go grab some lunch! I heard that the new playground was built Sora! I know you’re going to love it!”
What was he? Four?
“Uh…well…actually…I’m doing something with Tidus today, so-”
“Aw! Well that’s okay! I’ll do something alone with Ansem then.” As Yumi cut her son off, she glanced over at her boyfriend and gave him a secret smile, oblivious of the horrified expression on Sora’s face.
Oh shit…that’s sick…
What was he going to do? Play on a little swing set and have no fun at all or let The White-Haired Bastard have his way with his mother?
Well…it sure as hell wasn’t the latter.
“Well…I guess I could do something with Tidus tomorrow!” Sora blurted out and his mother turned to face him, her eyes all lit up.
“Wonderful!” Finishing her breakfast, Yumi dabbed her silky napkin into her glass of water and lightly she patted her lips. “Well, are you almost done Sora?”
Sora looked down at his full plate of food and sighed. So much for eating away my worries…they just keep stacking themselves up…
Pushing his plate away, Sora nodded. “Yep! I’ll just go get ready!”
“Alright, take your time!”
I’m gonna be as quick as possible…I don’t trust you and that bastard alone.
And as he walked out of the dining room, Sora could hear faint giggling and the sound of a chair moving. He shuddered and rushed up the stairs, racing to his room.
What a fucked up morning…

Sister, I'm not much a poet, but a criminal
And you never had a chance
Love it, or leave it, you can't understand
A pretty face, but you do so carry on,
and on,
and on
As the warm needles sprinkled themselves on the Prince’s gorgeous body, his stereo was sitting on the toilet, playing ‘Thank You For The Venom’ by My Chemical Romance. His head banged to the beat and he held a shampoo bottle in his hand, putting it up to his lips, singing with the music.
I wouldn't front the scene if you paid me
I'm just the way that the doctor made me, on,
and on,
and on,
and on
Love is the red of the rose on your coffin door
What's life like, bleeding on the floor,
the floor,
the floor
This was a little habitat of Riku’s. Something he mostly did on the weekend since he had no time to do so on school days (since he usually oversleeps). Who couldn’t like it? Put your stereo on the floor or on the toilet, get your favorite CD, put it in, hit the play button, start to take your shower!
All in five easy steps!
You'll never make me leave
I wear this on my sleeve
Give me a reason to believe
His head arched back and the warm needles splashed on his exposed neck, closed shampoo bottle grasped tightly in his hand. He was ready for the chorus.
So give me all your poison
And give me all your pills
And give me all your hopeless hearts
And make me ill
You're running after something
That you'll never kill
If this is what you want
Then fire at will
“YEAH!” Shaking his hips in a very…provocative manner, Riku grinned, heart swelling up as he could feel the beat flow through his veins, through his entire being…
Through his soul…
It was such an orgasmic feeling!
Preach all you want but who's gonna save me?
I keep a gun and the bullet you gave me, hallelujah, lock and load
Black is the kiss, the touch of the serpent sun
It ain't the mark or the scar that makes you run,
and run,
and run,
and run
Jumping around, Riku was oblivious to the shampoo bottle suddenly opening from his tight grasp and it began oozing down the sides of the container making it slippery to hold.
You'll never make me leave
I wear this on my sleeve
Give me your reason to believe
Unexpectedly, the bottle dropped and squirted out the green substance, some on the shower floor, a little on the tiled wall…
And a little bit in Riku’s eye.
“AH SHIT!” Clawing at his eye, Riku was sure if the burning kept up his eye would dissolve and he would be ‘The One-Eyed Prince’…
Shit.ShitShit. ShitSHITSHITSHIT!
Thrusting his face into the rushing water, Riku held open his eye as the water sprinkled in his eye and washed the shampoo away. Though it hurt like hell, he could slowly feel the burning drift away.
“Ahhh…” Just as he thought everything was going to be alright…
It got worse…
All because the music blocked out the flushing sound of the toilet.
Unexpectedly for Riku, the water temperature began to raise and the eye now under it…
Burned with the intensity of one thousand million Suns.
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! WHAT THE HELL?!” Jerking his head away, Riku grimaced as he bolted his eyes shut, pain inevitably on his face. Riku bit his lip to assuage some of the pain though it only seemed to be getting worse. Why the hell did everything have to happen to him?
So give me all your poison
And give me all your pills
And give me all your hopeless hearts
And make me ill
You're running after something
That you'll never kill
If this is what you want
Then fire at will
“Ah, shut the hell up…” Throwing the curtain back to turn off the music, Riku screamed.
“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?!” He wrapped the curtain around his body, peeking his head out from behind.
“RIKU-RIKU! That’s no way to talk to your mother!” Arms crossed beneath her breasts, Gin glared at her son, wooden spoon in her hand and an apron around her waist, she had just came up here to tell Riku-Riku that breakfast was ready and waiting…and the only way he would come down was if she burnt him out because really…her Riku-Riku could just live in the shower if she let him…
But that wasn’t important at the moment…
It seemed she needed to have a talk to him about manners.
So give me all your poison
And give me all your pills
And give me all your hopeless hearts
And make me ill
You're running after something
That you'll never kill
If this is what you want
Then fire at will
“Mooommmmmmm!
The blond sighed. “Aww! Is Riku-Riku embarrassed about his mother seeing his private parts?” A grin spread across her face and her eyes sparkled, forgetting how the way Riku yelled at her before.
This would be worse than what she planned.
“Shut up, Mom!” Death glare.
“Aww! Come on out Riku-Riku! Remember I used to change your diapers! It’s not like I haven’t seen private parts before!” Waving her spoon in the air as she talked, Gin smirked, eyes pinned on her blushing son.
How embarrassing…
Rolling his eyes, Riku scowled. “Mom…”
She giggled, thinking that her son was totally silly as she saw the blush spread across his cheeks. So humming to herself, Gin headed out the open door, shutting it on the way out.
Why the hell was this always happening to him?
Sighing, Riku drew back the shower curtain (of course after he turned the scalding water off) and grabbed his white towel, wrapping it around his pale hips loosely. He unplugged his stereo and pressing his body against the wall so his towel wouldn’t slid off, Riku opened the door, opening it wider with his foot as he clutched his towel once again.
Alright…hopefully I won’t have any other visitors…they would probably get lost in my room anyway…
Opening the door to his room, Riku’s eyes widened.
What. The. Hell.
“WHO CLEANED MY ROOM?!”
Yes, you heard right. The Prince of Punk’s room is finally cleaned, but who had done it?
“Oh! I did sweetie! It was just so dirty so when you were in the shower, I decided to straighten it up!” A sweet, honey-like voice answered his question from the kitchen and Riku sighed, shaking his head.
Knowing his mother, he won’t find anything for awhile since she liked to organize freakin’ EVERYTHING!
So with a clean room (and slightly aggravated), Riku set his stereo by the door, plugging it in to the outlet and pushing the skip button as he searched through the CD‘s songs. When he fell on the one he wanted, he pushed the play button and waited.
Silence.
This night, walk the dead
in the solitary style
and crash the cemetery gates.
Closing the door and locking it for good measure, Riku dropped his towel, flashing his entire room.
Good thing the room couldn’t talk…
Riku’s head would be swelling from all the comments…
And that was with no pun intended, of course…
In the dress your husband hates
way down, mark the grave
where the search lights find us
drinking by the mausoleum door
and they found you on the bathroom floor
Riku began to bang his head as the guitar came in head strong and he searched through his drawers for something to wear for the day. Surprisingly, Riku found that his clothes were neatly folded and placed in each drawer. Pants in one, shirts in another, and so on and so forth.
Ahhh…that’s probably why he loved his mother so much.
She just couldn’t help but do everything for Riku.
Which in this case…Riku didn’t give a shit to who cleaned his room, though he always made a big deal about something when he was surprised.
He just was glad it was done.
Taking out some black boxers, Riku searched through the next drawer underneath the one before and took out a black shirt that said: “Heavy Metal Killing Machine” in white letters and blood stains underneath them and then “My Chemical Romance” in dripping red bloody letters.
Definitely one of his favorite shirts…
I miss you, I miss you so far
and the collision of your kiss that made it so hard
Then he closed both drawers and moved on to the last drawer and pulled out some random black leather pants. He changed quickly, feeling his stomach grumble with a hungry anticipation.
He grabbed his comb and brushed his hair speedily, not in the mood to look utterly hot today…
But when didn’t he look hot?
Come on! He was the infamous Prince of Punks. The loveable King of Pranks! Riku, here! Yeah, hot was one of his physical traits.
Ahhh…
So, mind on himself, Riku (after turning off his stereo) exited the room and headed down the stairs, rushing into the kitchen only to be greeted by a warm loving smile.
Ugh…torture…not this early in the morning…or…never…stupid peppy mother that walks in when I take showers.
“Hurry Riku-Riku! Your breakfast is getting cold!”
Oh…he definitely didn’t want that to happen! It would be the end of the whole damn world…
Fuck…he was such a bastard…
So trudging over towards the table, Riku sat in the chair across from his mother. His eyes followed her as she stood and headed over towards the plate of food that she had prepared for her son. Walking back over with a cheerful step, she set it down in front of him and he began to eat.
Damn…his mother could fucking cook!
“Well! Since your father is at work, why don’t we do something today? Just the two of us.”
Riku (having a mouth full of eggs) began to choke, swallowing hard as he felt the scrambled eggs painfully make their way down his throat. He reached for his orange juice and took a large gulp, sighing in content as the eggs safely made their way to his stomach. Rubbing his throat, Riku blinked.
“Like what kind of things?” He asked hoarsely, eyes narrowing as he noticed the mischievous glint in his mother’s pretty baby blue eyes.
When was the last time he did something with his mother?
He thought about that…and what he came up with…
Only brought back painful memories…
“Riku-Riku! Look, how about these?”
Riku turned to regard his mother, brushing back his bangs in an attempt to look calm and collected as a group of girls walked by him, flashing their perfect glossy lipped smiles at him. His eye began to twitch as his mother practically smacked him with the new pair of underwear.
He blushed, looking over towards the girls that were now giggling and pointing at him.
Shit…
“Mom…I’m not wearing these…” He handed the underwear back to her and crossed his arms, glaring at her. “Those are stupid looking…”
“What? No one’s going to see them!” Gin insisted, putting them back in Riku’s face. “Besides! Duckies are your favorite animals!”
“MOM! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU ON?!”
Or…at least that’s what he wanted to scream at his childish mother.
“No mom…I’m not wearing them. I’m too cool for that piece of crap.”
Gin huffed, rolling her eyes. “Well, I guess we’re doing this the hard way!” She held out a fist and smirked, giving Riku a devious stare. “Come on…I bet you can’t win!”
Okay…his mom might be a peppy, child-like thing, but Riku was not going to play Rock-Paper-Scissors just to see if he would get that stupid pair of underwear…
“No way Mom! How old do you think I am? Four?!” Glancing over towards the group of girls, he shot them a charming smile, which sent them into a fit of giggles.
So much for impressing the ladies…
“But Riku-Riku!” His mother whined, giving him a pleading look. “Come on…we used to do this when you were younger!”
Sighing in frustration, Riku glared at his childish mother figure.
“Alright…will you leave me alone after that?” He whispered, not wanting to get caught doing such a foolish thing.
“Yup-yup!” She giggled and held an open palm out beneath her fist. “Ready?”
Riku shrugged and rolled his eyes, but secretly inside he was sort of happy.
Yeah right.
“Yeah…I guess…”
“Alright!”
“Rock-Paper-Scissors !”
Riku’s hand was laid flat in the air to show he had chosen paper…
His mother had picked scissors.
“Ahhh man!” Crossing his arms in a pout, Riku frowned. “Best two out of three?”
“Nope!” Gin grinned, putting the underwear into the cart. “I win!”
Shit…and he still had that pair of underwear too…somewhere.
He shuddered to even think about it.
“Let’s go shopping!” She squealed, dropping her piece of toast on her plate to clasp her hands together. “That would be SO much fun!”
Ugh…not for me…
“Um…how about-”
“We settle it with a game!” She interrupted and Riku’s eyes widened.
“Huh?”
“I challenge you to Rock-Paper-Scissors! Winner gets to pick where they go!”
Not this again…
“Whatever…” He held out his hand and waited for her to start. She squealed again and began.
“Rock, Paper, Scissors, shoot!”
Riku picked rock this time thinking he had this one beat…
But his mother picked paper…
“God! Can’t I win?!” Huffing and crossing his arms, Riku glared at the titled floor, wishing for unspeakable things to come and rip the floor to shreds.
“Aww! Don’t pout Riku-Riku! It’ll be fun! Just like when you were little!”
Oh…yeah…I’m going to have soo much fun…

Butt planted on the little swing way too small for his over grown body, Sora sighed, watching little kids with their parents.
They were all so happy…
He fucking hated it.
Hey wait…when did he start to become such a hateful person?
Okay…let’s see if he could think in a more…positive manner.
So the little kids were happy, playing with their parents on this cool yet sunny day. The birds were soaring through the air without a care--
Alright…this was just ridiculous…now he was becoming poetic?
Let’s just say it was a nice day and the stupid little kids were having fun while Sora was stuck with an inattentive mother and The White Haired Bastard.
That sounded about right…
He averted his gaze away from the little laughing kids and onto his mother, who was twirling a strand of the bastard’s hair between her fingertips, while whispering in his ear. Her head was comfortably placed on his shoulder, while her body was almost glued to his and her eyes were closed. The bastard himself was smirking, gaze fully on Sora.
The said brunette shuddered.
Those stupid orange eyes…
The dream…
Nope! He wouldn’t think of that! Nope!
“Mister?”
Sora blinked, turning to the sound of a childish voice speaking out to him.
Wow…no one called him ‘Mister’ before, but Sora wasn’t complaining…this kid was cute anyway.
She had cute short brown hair that cut off at her chin with big brown eyes and a big smile to match. She was wearing cute little jean shorts and a simple white t-shirt, though it was a little too big for her. Sora had to resist the urge of hugging her right there. She was just too cute for her own good.
“Hi, what’s up? Are you lost?”
She giggled, making her eyes twinkle. “No mister, I just would like to use the swing please.”
Sora cast a side glance towards the other swing and saw that another kid was using it. Sora smiled, returning his attention on the little girl.
“Alright, but first tell me your name.”
She smiled. “My name is Ellone and I’m six years old!”
She seems so proud…
“I have a big brother too!” She nodded, flashing a little grin. She looked even more adorable without her two front teeth. “But he went to go get me some ice cream. I said I would stay by the bench, but I saw you and then-”
Geez…she really likes to talk a lot…
“-and so I wanted to play on the swing for a little while and asked you. So may I use it now? Please?”
Sora chuckled, standing up and stepping to the side so the girl could take the now unoccupied swing. “Sure. You have fun okay and I‘ll wait for you until your brother gets back.”
“Alrighty Mister!”
“Just Sora, alright?” It was weird being called mister when he wasn’t even eighteen yet. He wasn’t that old y’know?
“Okay Sora!” She chirped and planted her feet onto the ground, pushing back she was able to swing for a good amount of time, but she wanted to go higher, to soar through the clouds where the birds were at this time. She wanted to feel free.
Five minutes had to pass before the little girl asked for help.
“Sora? Umm…could you help me?”
Absentmindedly listening to the creaking of the swing, Sora looked over towards the girl and smiled, cobalt eyes sparkling. “Sure, what’s up?”
Ellone fidgeted and frowned. Sora didn’t like to see this because the girl was too cute to frown like that.
“I can’t get up very high…” Her lower lip jutted out and her gaze was focused on the ground. Brown hair now hid her face as she bent her head down, sorrowfully. It was like she failed on a math test or something.
Sora felt so bad for her.
“I’ll push you. It’s no problem!” Seeing the girl’s head perk up, Sora instantly felt better and moved to get behind her, gripping the swing’s red straps in his hands. He backed up, making sure Ellone was safely on the swing before he pushed her, sending the swing flying towards the sky.
The giggling of the child was music to his ears as he watched her from a short distance. He obviously wouldn’t stand behind the swing to get hit, so he stood beside the swing set, prepared to push the girl’s swing again if she wanted him to.
Wow…a little girl can make my day…
“Hehehe! Thanks Sora!” She shouted as she swung back and forth, a smile painted on her joyous face. Her short hair flew up and came back in place every time she swung back and forth and her eyes twinkled with excitement as if this was all one big adventure. Her smile looked like it was from a movie since it was so emotional for Sora. He felt like he did something like save the world. That was the impact of that little girl’s smile.
It was always good to see a child smile.
Even though someone was glaring at him intensely from afar.
Sora didn’t even notice someone watching him until his gaze swept around the park, finding something to do until Ellone asked him to help again.
That’s when he spotted the eyes…
Those eyes that were craved from ice and metal. The gun-metal blue eyes that made him shudder from such a fiery intensity. It was like looking into a raging storm, though the person with the eyes was leaning calmly against the tree closest to Sora and Ellone, arms crossed to his chest. One hand held an ice cream that was still cool and ready to eat.
The King of Punks was staring at him…
No wonder he was a King…
With that mane of brown locks, the stormy eyes and that body…he was gorgeous…
Whoa…he sounded like a fan girl for a moment there…
Should he be staring at other guys when he had Tidus? Wasn’t that like…cheating?
Nah…
Tidus probably did it all the time.
Though that thought made Sora a little jealous. Was Tidus really staring at other people?
Nah…
Before he realized it, Leon was in front of him, gazing calmly down on him with those mysterious storm eyes. He could have melted there, melted into a puddle of Sora-goo.
Eww…
“SQUALL!” Ellone had jumped off of the swing and landed gracefully on her feet. She rushed over, hugging his long leg, since she was far too short to reach his waist. She buried her face deep into his pants leg, nuzzling his leg with her nose. “Did you get my ice cream?!”
The King’s gaze landed on the little child at his feet. His features seemed to soften for that split moment and as he bent down to give his sister the ice cream he had for her, Sora couldn’t help but smile at the affection the ‘King of Ice’ gave towards the little girl.
It was really cute…but weird at the same time…
But Sora thought clowns were weird too. Come on! Why would clowns paint sad faces on their faces to make people laugh? To him it was almost depressing to see the clown fall face first into a pile of elephant poop…
Hmmm…it brought back memories…
“Sora? SORA?!”
Startled, Sora shook his head, unaware that he was dazing for that simple moment. Ellone was tugging at his pants leg, trying to get his attention.
“This is Squall, my big brother!” She giggled and nodded her head, proud of having a big brother like Leon.
But Sora wondered why…
Seriously…maybe Leon was just an Ice Princess at school and at home he was a happy-go-lucky guy that laughed and smiled like any other human being.
Or maybe Leon wasn’t human at all…
Nah…
“--so I asked Sora to push me and he said ‘Okay!’ and that’s why I left from the spot!”
Why do I always space out? Geez…and especially about Leon…or Squall…whatever…I need to focus…
“So Sora, wanna come to dinner?”
Both boys seemed taken back by Ellone’s kind offer. Sora was surprised because he was barely paying attention and Leon was surprised because Ellone never really asked anyone to come over to the house…
There was only one…
No…he wouldn’t go there…too many memories…
He wanted to forget all of them.
“No.” Leon declared and Sora jumped at the King’s sudden entrance to the conversation. Ellone paused in half lick on her ice cream as she stared up at her big brother, eyes becoming watery.
“But!”
“No.” He repeated, eyes locked on his younger sister. “He can’t come.”
“But whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhyyyyyy?!” She whined, stamping her feet on the ground to show that she was pouting. “That’s not fair Squall!”
Leon sighed, a hand massaging his temples as he contemplated on what to do. Ellone just had to keep planting shit into his life. Sure, he loved her, but when it got down to it…
She was WAY too cute for her own good.
Sure, he wanted to give in and let her have her way, but…
He wouldn’t let it happen again.
He couldn’t go through with it. Maybe Ellone forgot about it, but…
He would never forget.
“No.” He once again repeated, the only answer he would think of right away. Maybe if he kept saying it she would finally give in.
“But remember when-”
No! Don’t say it!
“Fine!” He interrupted, making the girl stop in mid-sentence. Her eyes lit up and her lips spread into a joyous grin. She must of jumped at least two feet into the air as she clung to Leon’s lower waist, wrapping her legs and arms around him in a tight hug. Her ice cream was slowly dripping on her now sticky hand, falling onto Leon’s boots. Leon though was impassive like always, though his eyes were telling a whole different story.
“THANK YOU! THIS IS GOING TO BE SO MUCH FUN!”
Sora was just standing there the whole time.
Really confused.
And…
Really oblivious to the siblings conversation as his mind was set on his mother and The White Haired Bastard, kissing on the wooden bench. He couldn’t take his eyes off the two and for that simple reason, he was oblivious to everything around him.
“SORA!” Ellone exclaimed and Sora sharply turned to face her, a sad expression in his eyes. Once she saw that, she wanted to hug him, but she was still giving plenty of ‘Thank You’ affection to Leon, so she couldn’t possibly hug him at the moment.
“Huh?”
“You’re coming to dinner right?” She asked, hope in her big brown eyes.
“Ummm…” He glanced over towards Leon, who was glaring at him intensely. Sora gulped, fidgeting under the King’s gaze. “I don’t know-”
“Please…?” Her eyes widened, sparkling from the reflection of the sun’s rays. Her brown hair was shifted cutely to the side to make her appearance angelic.
Sora couldn’t resist, even though Leon looked like he was about to strangle him.
Great…
“YAY! HE SAID ‘YES’ SQUALL!” She shouted and her grip around Leon tightened, though he had a blank look on his face. The small pitter-patter of the ice cream on Leon’s boot was the only thing that comprehended in the King’s head, mind on other mysterious things to Sora.
Though they were nightmares to Leon…
His eyes hardened as he drifted out of his thoughts.
He couldn’t get wrapped in them again.
“Whatever…” Leon muttered and he looked down at the little girl, signaling for her to get off. “Be there around seven…we live at-”
“4011 Transverse Ave. It’s right by the big high school!” She squealed, racing up to Sora to give him a hug. “Be there okay?”
Sora nodded, still slightly confused. “Sure Ellone. I’ll be there at seven.”
“Yay! Bye-Bye Sora!” She giggled, licking on her ice cream innocently as she placed her hand into Leon’s bigger one and the two walked away, all the while Leon’s backward glances made Sora shiver.
God…that guy was creepy…
But hey! Sora had nothing better to do tonight…what was the harm into going to the King of Punks house for dinner?
If only Sora knew…

“Ah! Mom! No! I hate it!”
“Aw, but look how cute it is! Donald is a duck too! You know! Like Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck?”
“UGH! YOU’RE DRVING ME INSANE!”
The Prince gripped his locks of silver hair and fist them in his hands while his mother once again was buying him underwear. Why the hell was it always underwear that she wanted to buy for him? She could at least have the courtesy to buy him those leather pants that really fit him well.
But nooooo! She has to say “It’s too expensive!” and pull him over to the freakin’ baby department of the mall…
I doubt he would even fit into one of those stupid Donald Duck things…
God…why can’t he be shot right now? Shot again and again until the picture of Donald on his ass went away.
“Alright.” Gin sighed, a devious gleam in her eyes. “We know how to settle this…”
What? Again?!
“No…stop acting like a stupid child.” Riku took a look around the store and cringed. Now they were out of his favorite store, ‘Hollow Bastion’ and in this weird store called ‘The Hundred Acre Woods’…
That was a retarded name…there were no ‘woods’ in here anyway.
Besides, this was the store Riku went to when he was a little baby. Couldn’t his mother see he was already seventeen? This was just plain ridiculous.
Anyways, Riku’s favorite animal was NOT a duck…so his mother should stop looking and buying duck things for him. It was stupid…
Stupid peppy mother…
“--PLEASE!! JUST ONE MORE TIME AND THEN-”
Riku’s eyes widened as he felt several pairs of eyes on him and his mother. The mothers with their little children shooed them away and led the confused children to another part of the store all the while giving Gin the what-the-hell-is-wrong-with-you? look.
She wasn’t paying any attention to them.
“Come on Riku-Riku! You know you want to! PLEASE?!”
“FINE!” Thrusting his hand out, Riku let out an irritated sigh. “Hurry up and let’s get this over with.”
“Yay!” She giggled like a school girl and held her hand out, brows furrowing in concentration.
“Alright…Rock-Paper-Scissors SHOOT!”
Riku held his two fingers out and made a scissoring motion with them, his eyes cast over towards his mother and he became chest fallen.
Was this really happening to him?
How the hell could his mother win all the time anyway? There had to be a secret…
But she couldn’t predict his every move…that was like…IMPOSSIBLE!
Or was it?
“So we’ll get the Donald Duck one and how about Goofy to just have another pair?” Smiling, she held up a probably would barely-fit-him-but-definitely-would-cut-off-the-circulation-in-his-legs pair of Goofy undies that were extra large in a little kids size.
Ugh…where was the person that was gonna shoot him? Where WERE THEY?!
“Come on Riku-Riku! Let’s go buy these and go get some ice cream or something. How would you like that?”
Riku sighed, shaking his head as his mother turned.
What kind of Prince was he?
Granted he wasn’t a real prince, but still…
He should learn when to say no…and continue to do it even if it breaks his mother’s heart.
He just couldn’t stand this anymore…he can’t live like this.
So they walked up to the front counter. Gin excitedly placed the two pairs of underwear side-by-side and waited for it to be rung up. Her focus suddenly turned onto something else and she squealed, turning around to look at Riku.
It was a pair of her favorite character Piglet! How adorable they would look on her Riku-Riku!
“Wait here sweetie! I’ll be right back!”
So watching her rush off, Riku just shrugged and let his attention focus on the cashier. He had a little tan tinge to his skin with a spiky blond nest of hair on top of his head. The guy’s hair was like Rich Boy’s, except more tamed. His indescribable blue eyes were concentrated on folding the two pairs of underwear neatly and stuffing them into a plastic bag. He wore a black t-shirt with a Pooh Bear head on the breast and the name of the store beneath the picture. Riku could have laughed at the odd shirt, but kept it to himself.
Wait…
Blond spiky hair…
He was…
The King of Preps.
Riku was thrown out of his thoughts when the sound of the cash register opening and closing once again reverberated through his head. Riku could feel those eyes on him…
So he looked up.
Blue met Jade. Time froze and Riku’s heart stopped in his chest.
Shit this guy had fucking nice eyes…
“That’ll be 10.50 sir.” The tone of his voice sounded so mechanical, so fake. Like he was a robot just forced to do his job.
Hmmm…at least Riku had no job.
Wait…
Wasn’t the King of Preps suppose to be fucking rich like the rest of those lazy asses? Why the hell was he working at a little kid’s store in the mall nonetheless.
Damn…that had to suck.
“Sir. Did you hear me?” He asked, blue eyes distant as if in a realm outside of this world. Where pain and sadness dwelled and fear was definitely mixed in.
Damn, all with one little look.
He was fucking good at reading people. Maybe he could make a career with that. Charge a shit load of money and-
“Hey? Are you alive?”
Ooooh…did Riku just hear irritation in the King’s voice?
Hmmm…this should be fun.
“What? I can’t hear you? Speak up will you?”
The blond narrowed his eyes a tad, warning Riku that if he crossed the line it would get ugly.
However, Riku didn’t even care at the moment. He was too wrapped up in making the blond suffer.
“Hey! Aren’t you suppose to ask me if I found everything okay? Maybe even tell me what designs would look good on my ass!”
The blond remained quiet, patiently waiting for the money, even though his eyes betrayed his impassive façade.
He was pushing the blond, Riku could now obviously tell. The boy grinned, running a hand through his silver locks, eyes entirely on the older blond in front of him.
“What was your name again? Cliff? Clayton, Cunt?”
“Cloud.” The blond firmly stated, fist clenching and unclenching underneath the counter so the Prince wouldn’t notice his anger.
What a bastard…
“Ah. Cloud. What a nice name.” Riku leaned against the countertop and smirked. “So…you gonna tell me what design looks good on my ass or maybe you’ll have to look at it first.” Riku turned his head to the side, hand on the hem of his pants as he slowly slid them down, a grin adorning his face as the pants continued to slide down…
Little…by little…
This kid was completely screwing with him. What a fucking punk.
Damn…the memories…
The blond turned away, blue eyes closed as Cloud crossed his arms. A hand suddenly shot at his temple and the blond tried to assuage the headache he was currently at war with.
He didn’t need this right now.
“Can you just please pay your money? I don’t think you want to get arrested for stealing children’s underwear, or…is jail like your second home?”
Ooooh…that was pretty damn low.
“Do you just like working at a baby’s store or are you really as poor as you look?”
And that comment hit home.
Silence.
Cloud shook his head, taking out his wallet and pulling out the money for the underwear. He pushed a few buttons, causing the cash register to open. He placed his money inside and handed Riku the plastic bag.
“Thanks for shopping at our store. Have a nice day.”
Riku snickered, taking the bag in his hands while smirking in Cloud’s direction, now pulling up his pants. “Aw…did I say something wrong?”
“Have a nice day sir.”
“Alright.” Riku waved the matter off and swung the bag over his shoulder beginning to go find his lost mother. “I’ll see you at school, your highness.”
The blond said nothing as he walked away, but Cloud did watch Riku search for his hyper mom. Ugh…how he hated that kid.
He was such a fucking bastard.
Cloud didn’t even DO anything to him.
It was the same situation with-
No…not again…
The headache raged inside his skull and the blond squinted his eyes shut, grimace on his face even though he was trying as hard as he could to cover up his pain.
The years to put up this wall. No fucking hell would a headache bring him down or a dumb ass punk.
He was the King of Preps, the quiet yet loved by all King. He had no problems…
He had no problems…

Seven o’clock and Sora was standing in front of the door to the house he was invited to.
4011 Transverse Ave.
Yep this was the place.
It wasn’t big like his mansion, but if Sora had to live in a house this size than he would probably be fine. It was painted a fading peach and the door was an off white. It seemed the house hadn’t been paint in a few years, but it wasn’t too bad. It was just different not to see a gorgeous house with a massive garden and stairs leading to large oak doors.
He actually kind of liked this toned down house. It seemed so comfortable.
But how were the people inside the house?
Sora gulped, running a nervous hand through his nest of spikes.
What was he going to say? He had never been to a punk’s house before, let alone the King of Punks! What if he offended him or something and the King sent his whole group on Sora?
That sent shivers up Sora’s spine.
What were the King’s parents like?! Where they mean and cruel and dressed like hobos or something? What if they wanted to eat Sora’s brains or something disgusting like that?!
No…calm down…
So gathering up all his pride and courage, Sora gently knocked on the door, flinching like a scared bird afterwards. He was acting like a serious pussy. It wasn’t like the door would eat his hand if he knocked on it or something. Besides…doors aren’t living things and-
The door swung open and a man that seemed to be in his thirties looked down at the brunette. His long brown hair hung past his shoulder and a small parting was on the left side of his face. He looked really good for his age, he could even pass as a twenty-four year old if he wanted to. Anyways, he wore a simple white t-shirt with some khaki shorts and a white cooking apron tied around his waist. He looked like the kind of man that would help someone in need.
Well…this man seemed nice. That was a good sign to Sora.
“Hey! You must be Sora! Come in! Come in! I’ve heard all about you from Ellone!”
Sora sighed and smiled, taking a step into the house. The first thing his eyes focused on was the white stair case leading to the up stairs rooms, the walls were painted a light blue and Sora guessed that these walls were painted not too long ago because of how beautifully smooth it looked. A hallway led towards the kitchen where Sora could smell food cooking and just before that on the left had to be the entertainment room because Sora could just make out the sound of the television. It was a really nice inside for a house so small. It was really roomy and welcoming. He relaxed.
Well…at least Leon didn’t say anything about me…he would probably say I had three heads or something…nah…Leon is too serious to think like that. He probably wouldn’t say anything. This is The King of Punks I’m talking about…
“Well! Welcome to our lovely little home. By the way I’m Laguna Loire, father of those two lovely children you have met.” Laguna laughed and patted Sora’s shoulder, trying to make Sora feel welcome. “Ellone has said so much about you. Thanks for helping her today. She doesn’t get to play outside much and you just made her day!” His smile made Sora’s lips twitch to mimic the older man’s.
Wow…this man was really nice and he barely knew a thing about Sora.
“Laguna? Is that Sora?!”
Sora looked up to see the little girl that he had only meet today rushing down the stairs to greet him. She leapt into the air and clung to Sora as if he was her life supply. With her arms wrapped around his waist and her legs wrapped around his own legs, Sora was in no position to move. So he hugged her, chuckling as the girl squealed.
“SORA! I’M SO GLAD YOU CAME!” She unclasped herself from around her friend and giggled, a clump of hair hiding her right eye as she tilted her head to the left. “I didn’t really think you would come! Squall has been really grumpy ever since! He says you’re a prep.” She then turned to Laguna and furrowed her brows in confusion.
“Daddy, what’s a prep? Is that bad?”
Laguna shook his head, bending down so he could be eye-to-eye with Ellone. “No, preps aren’t bad. Squall is always grumpy. Ignore him.” Then Laguna turned to look at Sora, an amused glint in his eyes.
“It’s funny. You look almost like--”
The sound of loud footsteps descending down the stairs cut Laguna off and everyone turned to watch the King with interest. Leon looked impassive as ever, not giving a second glance towards any of them as he headed into the kitchen. Everyone became instantly quiet, until Laguna broke the silence.
“Well! The food should be done. I left it on the stove to cool. Are you two ready to eat?”
Ellone bobbed her head, grin etched on her face. “Yeah!” She then rushed into the kitchen, giggling as she went.
Laguna turned to Sora, a small smile on his face. He looked a little weary, like he had a little too much on his shoulders.
Sora ignored it. It wasn’t his business to begin with.
“Let’s go Sora.”
So the brunette followed the older man, entering the kitchen/dining room. There was a little stove and a little dish washer with a white fridge and a door leading to the back yard. With it was a medium sized table that took up a good portion of the room and chairs surrounding it. The room was so small. Sora wondered how Laguna could even cook in here AND have people over to eat with them.
It was crazy.
They should probably get an add-on to the house.
He had to remember though…people weren’t as rich as him.
So taking a seat beside Ellone, Sora could feel those gun metal eyes upon him. He felt so strange. He really didn’t like being stared at.
It made him fidget.
And that was what he was doing now, fidgeting in his seat. He wouldn’t dare look up into those stormy eyes. He wouldn’t be able to hold his gaze very long before turning away.
Anyway, staring was rude.
Sora guessed Leon really didn’t give a damn.
“So Sora, what grade are you in?” Laguna asked, pulling Sora out of his thoughts.
“I’m a junior.” The boy replied, eyes on his hands that were in his lap. He let out a little sigh and closed his eyes.
When was the last time he actually had dinner with someone?
Yeah, his mother had eaten breakfast with him (though it wasn’t the same case with Sora, since he didn‘t even get to eat his food), but when it came to dinner Sora was usually alone. Now having people to eat with was actually kind of nice.
I guess he could say he would probably enjoy his night.
Unless Leon kept staring at him…then he wouldn’t be able to think straight.
He wondered why.
It’s probably because I’m just a little boy and he’s a King. Come on! King versus Little Boy, I wouldn’t be able to defend myself. He’s bigger, stronger, faster, and so much more. Leon is an intimidating person.
“Ah. You attend the same school as Leon right?” The older man asked and Sora nodded, hearing the sounds of food plopping onto a plate. Sora sniffed the air and sighed joyously.
It smelt really good in here.
“Well, maybe you and Leon could start hanging out. Leon doesn’t get out that much and-”
“No.” Leon gruffly stated, arms crossed in front of his chest. Sora averted his gaze away from his hands and onto the floor, feeling his heart pound.
Silence.
Wow…I’m fucking scared of this guy…
A certain little girl broke the silence this time. “I’m hungry Laguna! Is it ready yet?”
Laguna let out a hearty laugh and walked over to the table, serving Sora and Ellone first before serving himself and Leon. Speaking of the King, Leon was preparing drinks now. Probably too impatient to wait for his father to get them.
Or maybe he was trying to be helpful?
That was always a possibility.
So they (except Ellone) ate in silence for a short time after Leon provided the drinks. Sora chuckled at Ellone for trying to be the one to get everyone to talk. Laguna was participating well enough and Sora would throw in a comment or two in, but all in all he liked this dining experience. He felt relieved and relaxed, he felt like he could forget all of his troubles with just someone being around him.
“Sora! Do you like it? I helped Laguna make it!”
Sora blinked, glancing over to the little girl with a smile, chewing his food. “Hmm-hmm!”
Ellone giggled, blushing. “Aw! You’re so sweet Sora!”
Leon grunted, eyes on his food as he ate almost as if he was in a hurry. Sora was almost done as well and noticed Ellone was still on her peas, giving a displeased look over towards Laguna who was eating his food without a care.
“Laguna! Why did you have to make peas!” She huffed, frowning. All eyes on her softened, even the King’s. Laguna shook his head, out of his trance.
“Because they’re good for you. If you don’t like them, don’t eat them. But Sora’s eating them, right Sora?”
Sora took one look at Laguna and saw the wink that signaled him to say yes. So Sora said it, hearing the girl sigh in defeat. She picked up her fork again and stab some peas idly, a sad look in her eye.
“Alright. If Sora’s eating them.”
A loud clank sounded in the kitchen and Sora knew that sound all too well.
It was the sound of someone finishing their meal.
Blue eyes followed the King as Leon stood and made his way towards the dishwasher, opening it and setting his plate and fork inside, closing it again after.
Laguna cleared his throat and looked over to Leon. “Why don’t you give Sora a tour to the house, Squall?”
Leon averted his gaze away, eyes narrowed. “Whatever.”
Sora quickly stood, grabbing his plate and taking it over towards the dishwasher. Laguna spoke up.
“Just leave it Sora. I’ll clean it up later.”
Ellone glared at Laguna, arms crossed like her big brother always does. “Hey! I wanna help too!”
Laguna chuckled, nodding his head. “Of course, Ellone. I would never forget you!”
Ellone squealed, grinning. “YAY!”
Leon grunted again and walked off, Sora swiftly followed, not wanting to displease the King in any way.
The King lead Sora upstairs, passing Ellone’s room first. He didn’t stop to give Sora a tour, but Sora didn’t count on one in the beginning.
Leon wasn’t what anyone would call…the talkative type.
They passed another room, it must have been Laguna’s because a business suit jacket was resting on the knob of the door, it was wide open and Sora’s eyes looked into the room briefly, eyes halting on a single picture that was on a little night table by a large bed…
There was a girl with chestnut hair tied back in one single braid going over her shoulder, a pink bow held it together and matched the pink dress the girl was wearing. Beside her was a woman that looked only around twenty nine maybe a few years older. Her hair was brown going straight down her back and a yellow headband pulled back her bangs. She wore a simple white turtle neck and jeans. They both looked so young and pretty.
Who were they?
“Are you coming or not?” The question was asked in such a cold manner it was as if a gust of wind blew right by him and made him shiver.
Sora nodded and continued to walk with Leon. They passed one more room which was shut. Was that like a game room or something?
Nah…
They probably didn’t have the money for that.
Hmmm…I’m still wondering who those women are…maybe they’re relatives…? I don’t know, but I shouldn’t get into this family’s business. It’s not for me to know anyway.
Sora kept his eyes to the ground and followed the King into his bedroom.
Wait…he was going into the King’s bedroom?!
He wasn’t prepared for this at all!
So entering, Sora was completely shocked.
Sora thought it was going to be like what he saw in movies. Posters of bands taped on the walls and walls painted in gothic colors (his guess was going to be black) to emit a darkness theme to the room, he expected clothes in heaps on the floor and music blaring out of a stereo, screaming for someone to kill them or something.
But it was totally opposite.
It was completely bare. The walls were painted white, there was a single bed on the left side of the bedroom and a little desk with a little lamp on top. Yes there was a stereo on the desk, but it was turned off and a CD rack was placed by the desk. Sora wasn’t surprised to see all of the slots filled with music.
After all…this was the King of Punks.
“So…” Sora cleared his throat and hooked his eyes on Leon as the King sat himself on his bed, arms crossed.
“Why did you help Ellone?”
Whoa…where did that come from?
“Umm…she said she wanted to swing so I let her have it and then I pushed her on it and then-”
“No.” Leon shook his head, a sigh escaping his lips. Sora blushed, feeling completely embarrassed and like a big dumb ass.
Why am I even here? I should go home now…
“I meant…why would you help someone when you don’t know them?”
Sora thought about it for a moment and scratched the back of his head.
“Well. When someone is in need, usually another person should help out even if that person doesn’t know them or they got into a fight or something.”
That pulled a chord in Leon’s heartstrings, though he didn’t show it.
“…”
Silence.
Did Sora say something wrong?
“Well…” It was way too uncomfortable. “I guess I’ll get home. My mom will be wondering where I am.”
What an obvious lie…
But Leon didn’t know about Sora’s life so Sora doubted that Leon even heard the way his tone changed as he mentioned his mother.
Leon closed his eyes, ignoring the fact that Sora was even there lost deep in his own thoughts, so Sora left.
Heading down the hallway, Sora peeked into Laguna’s room again, eyes on the picture.
The two woman looked so happy…
Where were they now?
Stop thinking about them…
Slowly heading down the stairs, Sora could hear the sound of rushing water as Laguna and Ellone did the dishes. He smiled as he heard the laughter emitting from that room.
Why wasn’t Leon like that?
Sora didn’t see why Leon was such a bastard all the time.
Shaking his head, Sora headed into the kitchen and tried to get the little girl’s and father’s attention. “Um…I’m leaving…”
They both turned at the sound of the boy’s timid voice and smiled.
“Alright. Do you need a ride home?”
Sora shook his head, already telling David to pick him up at eight before he came to the house, whether he was done with dinner or not. He took a glance at his watch and read: ‘8:20’. He frowned, waving to the two.
“No! My ride’s been here for a bit! Thank you for everything and dinner was great!”
“Sora! You gotta come again okay?” Ellone’s eyes widened pleadingly.
Sora averted his gaze away for a split second, shrugging as his reply. “I guess I can, but that’s up to Mr. Loire and Leon.”
“Oh, they won’t mind!” Ellone chirped, racing up to Sora and hugging him with her wet hands leaving little hand imprints, she nuzzled his waist. “Bye Sora!”
“Hehehe…bye Ellone! Good bye Mr. Loire.”
Laguna nodded, wiping his hands with a small towel. “Alright Sora, we’ll see you soon.”
So with the goodbyes said, Laguna and Ellone followed him out the door and told them their final good byes.
It was fun…I’m glad I just didn’t stay at home and do nothing…
Happy, Sora proceeded towards the limo and David smiled, merrily, opening the door for him.
“Ready to go home Sora?”
Sora nodded, entering the limo.
“Yeah…it’s time to go home.”
