There sat Carl, tapping away at the keyboard. That's all he had done the past 2 days. For school started the 4th. Which meant he didn't have much time to finish up his fanfiction goals he had set for himself. Every once in a while he took breaks though. Talking on AIM or checking his myspace it made him believe he did have a social life. Though he kept out of touch with certain friends mainly because of the drama that seemed to follow him.
For a small country farm town in upstate New York, Hilton certainly did have a lot of drama. It seemed like everyone was always bickering with one another and played one massive game of he said she said.
Then his eyes went wide. He got a message from Gina. He talked to her on and off for a while. They both connected on whole nother level. They ended up talking about all the recent drama that had unfolded in the town of Hilton.
They both said their goodbyes and both went to sleep, or so they told each other. Carl fell asleep at 4 and Gina at 5:45. They wouldn't talk until the first day of school.

The First day of school.
Carl walked to his first period class. He was clinically dead, having only have three hours of sleep he didn't have much energy to use on anything. But his energy soon lifted to see who was in his class.
Eric- Carl's friend since he was five. He spent years hanging out Carl. Even when Carl didn't have any friends.
Vanessa- Vee for short. They became quick friends the year before. And always hung out during the summer.
Matt- Probably the most misbehaved kid in school. They became friends Carl's freshman year mainly cause at the time Carl was a stoner. And Matt always had weed on hand.
And most importantly There was Gina. They had double everyday first thing in the morning. And Carl had his good friends all in one class.
Carl Breezed through the rest of the day knowing about his first period class and how much fun he was going to have this year. He went home Happy.

The last day of school.
Carl walked in 5 minutes late only to have his teacher scold him. And Matt laugh his ass off.
“Ok class we have an assembly this period so please be well behaved, but lets see if we can get through a little bit first. Alright Endoplasm is....” The teacher said before being interrupted.
“All students and faculty please report to the auditorium for our school assembly” The PA voice said.
“Well so much for that” Vee said as she got up.
“Alright, who's gonna sleep wit me” Matt said stretching his arms out.
“I will” Carl and Eric said at the same time.
“Not on the first date” Gina said sarcastically after the other two.
They all walked down and sat together in the upper back end of the auditorium. About 30 minutes into the 90 minute assembly Matt and Eric were out cold. Vee was listening to her Green Day CD. Meanwhile Gina and Carl sat about talking like they normally did.
Carl Put his head on her shoulder and closed his eyes.
“Excuse me” Gina said looking at him strangely.
“Don't move I'm too comfortable” Carl said smiling a little bit.
She quietly obeyed.
Carl drifted off into sleep. The often had colorful dreams, and this one depicted him back in 8th grade. The time he and Gina met for the first time. They just sat around and talked for awhile. He was new to that school so it was really his first friend he made since coming to Hilton.
“CARL GET UP” Gina yelled. He shot up quickly. He looked around and everyone was in panic people screaming and gun shots could be heard. Gina grabbed Vee's hand and she grabbed Eric, Eric grabbed Matt, and Matt grabbed Carl. They ran out together trying to avoid the shooter with the AK-47.
“Quick in here”Carl said ducking into the kitchen. There was a sudden rush of silence.
“What just happened?” Vee said with tear streaming down her face as the site of passing her dead classmates on the way to the kitchen.
“I'll tell you what happened, Tommy and Aaron just shot up half the school. Gina said pacing.
“Everyone hide quick” Matt said as he heard footsteps outside the door. Everyone proceeded to hide on the dimly lit kitchen.
Then he walked in. Aaron with his AK-47 pointed straight forward, looking for easy targets. His aim darted around the kitchen looking for anyone. Then he noticed something. A foot could be seen about 15 feet away. He aimed and fired. Hitting Eric in the leg.
Aaron knock away the table and saw him lay there clutching his leg.
“Got any friends with ya” He asked with a cocky attitude. Matt grabbed the butcher knife.
“No” Eric said firmly looking at him in the eyes.
“Pity” He said as he whipped out his .45 magnum and aimed it at his head.
BAAANNGGG!!!
“NOOOOO” Matt screamed. Aaron turned around and shot. The shot clipped Matt in the shoulder. But the last thing Aaron saw was the knife come down upon his face. Aaron feel, twitched once and died.
Everyone came out quickly. Gina and Vee walked over to Matt and calmed him down. Carl looked down upon Eric. “ I'm sorry” He said with a stream rolling down his cheek.
“Listen everyone we have to kill that son of a bitch” Carl said coldly.
“Are you fucking insane” Vee yelled with tears flowing freely down her cheeks.
“If we don't then countless others will suffer the same fate” Carl said.
“And we can kill these guys” Matt said taking off his shirt, tearing it up and wrapping it around his shoulder.
“Your in no condition to fight” Gina said sitting him down.
“I'm fine, it's just a flesh wound” Matt said trying to be as tough as he could be.
I can't believe this” Vee said with tears still flowing down her face.
“What do we have to work with” Matt asked.
Well we have a bunch of knives here, and Aaron here has a two .45 magnums and an AK-47" Carl said going through Aaron's jacket.
“I'm happy with knives ` Matt said grabbing a second butchers knife.
“Ok then, I'll take the rifle, Vee you take one pistol, Gina you take the other” Carl said handing the girls their firearms.
“I can't do this” Vee said clutching on to her pistol. Gina walked over to her.
Gina hugged Vee. “Listen baby, it's ok. We'll get outta here you'll see” Gina said.
Carl took one last look at Eric and loaded up on clips he got from Aaron.
Let's go guys, and remember it's 4 on 1 if we stay together we'll get through this. The four of them made it down the hallway, Carl leading the way.
Carl kept looking around corners looking for the other killer. Then to his surprise he found Tommy. He strutted down the hallway filled with corpses acting proud of what he had achieved. He had hated everyone in Hilton. All they did was cause pointless drama. Now he had created drama of his own.
“He's coming, Matt go around and get him from behind. I'll cause a distraction and he'll never know what hit him. Girls stay here and if I motion you come out shootin'. ” Carl said. Matt Proceeded to go around. When He saw that Matt was in position Carl came out and shot a few shots at him and got his attention. Tommy then proceeded to unload his entire clip to the wall Carl and the girls were hiding behind.
Meanwhile Matt came up from behind unnoticed, smirking at his sure kill he raised his blade to slice him down. He tripped though and missed slightly lodging the knife in Tommy's shoulder. Tommy let out a holler as he turned around and fired. There was nothing more Matt could do as he accepted his fate and fell to the ground filled with bullets.
“GOOOO!!!” Carl yelled as he Vee and Gina came out firing at wounded Tommy. As a trump card grabbed a grenade he had stolen from an army base months before hand pulled out the pin and chucked it at the three teenagers.
“EVERYONE DOWN!!!!!” Carl yelled he dove. Vee then dove and tackled Gina who was still shooting. There was a large blast then silence.
Carl was the first to get up, and the only one. He looked over and saw Matt about 50 feet down the hall lying motionless on the ground. Tommy Who had thrown the grenade even though was 30 feet away. Carl could see that he was mangled with bullets and shrapnel from the grenade. Carl then look over and saw Vee staring blankly upward with several pieces of shrapnel sticking out of her small frame. He then turned and ran to Gina who was laying down paying no attention the shrapnel sticking out of his leg.
She too was gone.
A million thoughts ran through his mind. All the memories from the first day he met her in 8th grade till their final fight together as juniors. His mind clouded and fatigue was beginning to set in. He couldn't feel his leg and probably for good reason. He then picked up Gina and walked towards the entrance.
He walked out the door and in front of a crowd of police, parents, and various other bystanders. He looked forward staring at the ambulance hoping that they could save him and his friends. He smiled as he knew it was over.
Then shots rang out and everything went silent. No one saw the third shooter.
