Chapter 4

 

“Hey Ron! Wait up!” Ron turned to find Kim coming up fast behind him. He raised his eyebrows.

 

“Wow…this sure is a change.”

 

“What is?” she asked.

 

“You chasing me…” Kim blushed slightly. Then she remembered what she had to ask him.

 

“Ron…are you …feeling alright?”

 

Ron was taken aback. “What do you mean KP?”

 

“Well,” She started, “do you have a fever or something?”

 

“Oh,” Ron muttered, understanding her meaning, “no KP, I'm fine. I don't know what happened today. I just felt…I don't know…confident.”

 

“Oh,” Kim sighed with relief. “Hey KP, wanna go to Bueno Nacho?”

 

“Sure.” Ron smiled.

 

“Race you?”

 

Kim laughed. “Sure Ron.”

 

They set themselves side-by-side, hands on the ground. “On your mark,” said Kim.

 

Ron grinned, “Get set…” “Go!”

 

Kim raced ahead, leaving Ron far behind. She turned and nearly tripped when she found Ron not moving. When she was about one hundred yards away, she stopped. “Ron,” she called, “you coming?”

 

Suddenly he shot off and was beside her. “Hey gorgeous,” he smiled.

 

She fell over on her butt. “Ron,” she gasped,” how did you do that…I've never seen anything move that fast…well…except for the beebee's.” Ron just shrugged. Kim stammered, “R-ron…c-can I s-see your b-but…uh…bite mark?”

 

Ron raised his eyebrow. “Sure Kp,” he said, lifting up his shirt. Kim gasped. Ripped abs. Like he'd worked out for years! And just above them, were two large slashes, still pink. She ran a finger over it. She could feel Ron's pulse from it. It felt almost…alive. She took out her Kimunicater, and took a picture of the scars with its camera. She then sent them to Wade to find out more about the wound and what type of animal could make it.

 

A faint blush crept over Ron's cheeks. Kim was running a hand over his abdomen and moving steadily lower. “Uh Kim,” he sputtered, “shouldn't we get to Bueno Nacho before it closes?”

 

Kim blushed, withdrawing her hand. “Yeah Ron…let's go.”

 

Ron grinned sheepishly, then suddenly grabbed her around the waist, put his free arm under her knees, and jogged off to the restaurant of his happiness and joy. Kim was so surprised that for a second, she didn't realize how fast they were actually going…that is until she notice that they were passing cars going about 35 mph…easily. Ron didn't even seem to even notice his new-found abilities…of course, when she absorbed Hego's powers and became super strong, it didn't really freak him out at all. It took a lot to freak him out…like we he'd been transferred to Kim's body. She blushed when she remembered him asking about how to use the bathroom. He'd even worn a blindfold when he had to “go”.

 

She lay her head against his chest and soon fell asleep listening to the rhythmic pounding their hearts together…
