Room 304, Cherry Blossoms of White Death
In the corner of the white and silent room, a fair complected boy sat seeming uncomfortable with his seat by the way that he twitched, squirmed, every so often. Hair, black and silky as newly discovered oil, swirled down in fallen and worn out curls to his elbows. As disheveled as he was, he still seemed to grasp that elegance that made him aloof from everyone else. His soft face was set into a look of one who had just found their world to be slowly breaking. Unshed tears had many times gathered in his green eyes, but never did he let them fall. With his hands holding his elbows keeping his arms pressed close to his slim body as if cold from the room, he looked over to the quiet bed.
The weak brunette resting there hardly seemed alive at all. His almond eyes closed from reality and his sandy hair even seemed without a life force. But when his soft eyes opened, the other boy was at his side clutching his hand in an instant.
“I'm sorry…” the brunette whispered.
“Djinn, it's not your fault. You'll be ok.”
Smiling with some effort, Djinn moved his lover's hand that was still clutching to his, to his pale cheek. Nuzzling against it, he felt the cold wetness that soaked the back of his hand and looked up at Camui.
His throat constricted in grief to see such a once cheerful person bent forward with tears overflowing and falling like rain. Still, Djinn put on a happy face, “Stop lying to your self. Stop lying to me. You know as well as I do I'm not gonna pull though.”
“Don't say that!” Camui snapped.
Shaking his head with jerking motions, Djinn's brown hair fell into his eyes as he spoke again, “Camui it's true.” Raising his free hand, full of hospital tubes, he ran it into his bangs. “I'm forgetting. Everything is falling away. The pain in my chest is swelling each day. I can't remember.”
Curling onto his side, Djinn pulled as much as he could to cuddle to the other boy. The strong feeling of being lost and dying alone invaded his senses. Yet he still fought the fear.
Looking out the window at the cherry blossom petals falling from their places in the trees, Djinn spoke into Camui's arm. “I'm like those flowers, Camui.” At the boys puzzled look, he explained, “I'm like those flowers. I'm the sakura. My memories and life are floating away like those petals.”
Camui glanced over his shoulder to the open window watching the pink shower before returning his pained gaze to Djinn. “You're being ridiculous. Everything else you've lived through. Why not this? You're just imagining it.”
Closing his eyes, Djinn curled tighter ignoring one of the needles in his arm that had twisted, when he moved, to cut him. He was mostly numb anyways. “You smell good.” He whispered, breathing in Camui's scent. “I know memories when I'm with you.”

Laughter howled through the house. Echoing through each corner and resonating from the kitchen. A young 14yr old was perched on the edge of a table. Said kitchen was covered in baking ingredients, utensils, and the two boys who were in the middle of it all were plastered with various mixtures.
The young brunette on the table battled with the black haired beauty trying to shove a sugar covered strawberry down his throat and tickle him simultaneously.
Strangely, the older by 3yrs, was mostly free of any excess substances, where as the other was splotched head to toe in food ranging from white to red. They were trying to make a cake after all.
Trying.
“Stop it!” Djinn wailed, waving his arms to stop Camui's assault.
Obeying his boyfriend's pleas, Camui stilled his hands to only rest on the boy's hips and dipped his head down to suck some of the sugary cake mixture from Djinn's peachy neck.
Djinn's flailing arms ceased, winding themselves around Camui's back and across the solid muscles there. “Mmmmmm….”
Hands slid up under the brunette's tank top. Carefully, Camui pulled himself up onto the table and with a slight push from his hands, the younger allowed himself to be led backwards while Camui straddled his slim waist.
Djinn felt his soft black hair fall around them as their kiss turned from the smooth brushings of lips to the eager exploring of each other with warm tongues.
Camui chuckled lightly at the sounds he was able to draw from the boy. Reluctantly, he broke the soul-ensnaring kiss to move down to Djinn's tense stomach. “It's alright. Relax.” He said softly.
Shivering slightly by the warm breath tickling his stomach, Djinn entangled his hands into Camui's jet-black hair. “I'm fine. I've been wanting this for, well, forever!” he laughed.
Leaning back up to his face Camui grinned, “But you haven't know me for forever.”
The other just shrugged.
“And maybe we should postpone this until we're not mounted on the table.”
Djinn blinked and looked around at the mess. “Yeah…maybe.” This was said with a slight whine.
“It's alright.” Camui said patting his head like a puppy. “Just wait till next time.”
“What makes you think there will be a next time?”
Both boys turned at the comment and upon seeing Djinn's angry mother standing in the doorway, Camui jerked off her son, slipped on some dough going backwards, before landing rear first on the wooden floor.

“Djinn?”
Slight pause.
“Djinn!”
“What?” Came the dreary reply. He had tried ignoring the whispers up until now. Really he had. Still worn out from the wringing his mother had given him, he wasn't in any big hurry to see Camui again. Heck, his mom had chased the boy right out of the house with one of the pots.
“Please let me in. I'm sorry I got you in trouble!”
Growling, Djinn opened and eye, then shot open the other at the sight of seeing Camui attached to his window like a Garfield window suction thingy. “What are you doing?!”
Camui rolled his eyes and blew to get a piece of wet hair out of his face. “Trying to say sorry.”
“By attempting suicide??”
“Shut up and lemme in.”
Hoping to the window, Djinn carefully opened it allowing the wet man to thump to the floor. “Stay there while I get you a towel.” Djinn gave Camui another look over noticing he did look rather cute sitting there drenched from the rain and trying to pull his hair back. “You need it.”
“Thank you, honey!” Chimed Camui.
Djinn just waved a hand and went to retrieve the towels and an extra set of clothing since he assumed Camui would be spending the night.

Charging in, Camui pushed through everyone in his way, battling to get to the room. He was just informed that Djinn had been in a car accident. He should have known. It was the boy's first day driving and what happens? He almost gets himself killed.
The doors to the room were slammed open revealing a rather bruised up Djinn, although there was nothing serious. His brown hair was completely disheveled and several parts of his body were wrapped in bandages. He smiled brightly at the appearance of his boyfriend. This was short lived, however, as Camui sprung a gasket.
“What were you thinking?! Your car flipped three times! Three times! Three times, Djinn! What were you doing? Running a relay!”
Djinn looked down to his hands giving the `pouty' look.
“Don't give me that.” Camui muttered. Knowing full well he'd soon be buckling under that stare. “Please.” Starting forward he clasped his hands over Djinn's and knocked foreheads with him. “You know I can't stay mad at you for long.” Then added, “Unfortunately.”
“Hey!”
“I'm just kidding. I'm so glad you're alright.”
Camui kissed Djinn's scowl away and even though each didn't say it, for they weren't quite ready to, their hearts said I love you.

“You know,” began Djinn, reclined on Camui's dark bed. The only light in the room was from the several candles lit around it. “Did you ever want to be married?”
Camui took a moment to get over choking on his tea. “W-why?”
Djinn acted like he never heard the sputter and continued unperturbed, “Well, I was just thinking about it and wanted to know what you think.”
“Djinn,” he spoke ignoring how extremely adorable he was laying there naked. “That never seemed important to me.”
“Why?”
He shook his head twirling a piece of his hair around his index finger. “I never thought I would marry.”
In all innocence Djinn shifted his position so that he was lying on his stomach resting his head in the palms of his hands and said, “Could you ever look at me and think you could?”
Afraid of the question but not willing to admit it, Camui shut him up with a kiss.

“He has what?” Camui asked slightly detached.
“It's a newly discover disease. Not many people have had it as of yet but those who have, have sadly passed away. We're still working on a cure.”
“He won't die, will he?”
“We'll try our best.”
`And I could swear I heard my heart crack.'

(Week past present)
Each breeze brought down more petals. The breeze quickened blowing the petals against the screen bringing the sweet scent into the dreary room.
Each day that passed, Djinn was growing sicker, thinner, and weaker. He could hardly sit up yet he longed to thrash from the almost constant pain in every limb, practically a mere skeleton.
Camui cradled the former shell of the overactive boy Djinn used to be. Tears now flowed non-stop and Camui could have sworn his own pain was equal to or surpassing that of Djinn's.
“Please don't leave me.”
**Djinn's viewpoint**
It hurts so much!
I can't breath!
Oh my god, is this it? Am I truly dying? I won't wake up tomorrow?
NO! I don't want to leave him!
I can feel myself crying. Those hot streams. And yet, I know that I will be returned to the earth from which I came. I'll burn in that kiln, in that darkness.
Camui…
You're the only one who stayed with me; the only one who truly cared. I love you so much Camui. Even when I die now, you're the only one I remember. So treasured, special and dear you are to me.
Looking over now, I can see the cherry blossoms outside the window, past your shoulder. I tell you that's where I want to sleep. I won't die. I'll just sleep. And when you too sleep, I'll always rest with you.
I am now gone.
I see you crying.
I'm so sorry to have caused you so much grief.
I can still feel your warmth, the warmth of you holding me in your arms, in your warm hands.
Quietly, they carry me from room 304. Carry me out, away from you. Even now as I rest with these sweet beautiful cherry blossoms, I still can only remember you.
From the window the ever changing cherry blossoms
Flutter flutter flutter flutter and dance in the breeze
Today, too, my consciousness fades away
Who are you? I cannot remember anything
My tears overflowed and fell
Onto your hand clutching mine reassuringly
Your unending stream of tears told me something
For some reason the scent of you brings memories…
These flowers that no one can find…
These flowers fall quickly, swaying in the breeze
This white hospital room blows with the breeze
The pain building up day by day
You held my thinning, ugly body close to you
At my time of death, there's one special person I remembered
Tomorrow I'll become ashes, return to dust
From the window I can see the cherry blossoms
Beneath those cherry blossoms I want to sleep
Wrapped in warmth in your hand…
They carry me quietly from room 304
So that I will never forget you
From here on, I sway in the breeze, together with the cherry blossoms,
Remembering you
Fluttering fluttering
Fluttering fluttering
