He leaned back and pulled on the handles, and the bike lifted and leaned back as well, he throttled the gas and put his heels against the pedals. He shot up into that air and turned around to face her. She nodded and did the same; she puled up next to him.

"Put your toes against the pedals and push it down to make the bike go down and your heels to the back of the pedal to go up".

She nodded, "ok, I'm good now as long as there isn't to many planes and birds"

He glanced at her "there are no planes here, and as for birds they stay over on the West Side of town"

She looked at him. "Oh why do they do that?"

"Don't know the people there were going to build plaza but every bird on second earth went there so instead they planted trees and turned it into a park, but as to why they are there is beyond me. Perhaps they know this isn't earth and are trying to get back there".

He looked back at her and saw her grinning

"Oh and you say I look into things to much". She looked up at the sky. "So how are there clouds here? If this is second earth shouldn't you be able to see the stars?"

He looked up at the clouds, "up until about a year ago yeah. But the found out that the plants grow better with the clouds to block out some of the sun's light, besides before when we were facing the sun we couldn't be outside"

"Oh I see, so they aren't real, oh well so what do you want to do". She looked at him

"I guess I'll show you the park"

She looked around but couldn't see any park

"It is on the West Side of town"

"Where all of the birds are, is it safe?"

He grinned and started forward, going slow so she could catch up

"So how can all of the birds be there, I can understand some but I heard they brought a lot up here. And for them all to fit in one park, I just can't believe that"

He looked back at her "you'll see" he hit the throttle and flew forward

"Hey wait up". She shot after him, she looked around at the ground but she couldn't see a park, but all she could see was buildings and roads. "So the East Side of town is where most of the people are and the West Side is just a park? I didn't think second earth was this big let alone a few more districts"

He slowed down and she started to catch up with him, she looked at him "so where is the park?"

At first he didn't say anything, he just kept his eyes in front of him, "its right there".

She looked down and her mouth dropped open, the park was about the same size of the city but it was nothing except trees, it went back a little while then seemed to cut off at part of it. Making it look like a hole in it, but it kept going as far as the eye could see. Birds flew out of the canopy and into the sky. "They won't attack us will they?"

He glanced at her and shook his head. "No those are parrots and macaws, they are friendly towards humans, the others don't like humans so they go farther back away from this city". He looked down towards the ground, "come on follow me".

She looked at him as he started down; she followed and went into the woods, after a minute they come into a small opening, "this is the hole I saw huh?" She looked down and stopped. Right below them was the biggest tree she ever saw on its side.

He stopped and looked back at her. "It is mostly man made, the branches are antenna and a roof of a building, the only this that is wood is the top for about three inches, then It is solid steel. The building goes many floors below ground, it is mostly used for a science building but the lower levels look a lot different, after all of the labs there are the dorms where the top scientists stay most of the time"

She looked at him the to the roof of the building. "They won't mind if we are here?"

"They might not like it but they won't say or do anything about it"

They started to descend closer to it. "Oh and why is that?"

He looked back at her and grinned "because I'm a spoiled kid who gets to do what ever he wants. Plus my dad is the CEO".

She looked at him a little shocked. * CEO of the science building? *. She saw that he stopped next to what looked like a stump and hit a button, a panel appeared and he started to hit buttons. " What are you doing?"

He continued to type in what seemed to be a combination. "I'm going to tell my dad that we have a guest"

She pulled up next to him, "when did I say I was going to stay? I said I'll think about it". He looked at her, she smiled and hit the button he was going to, a door started to open, "I'm only kidding, I'll stay if you wan me to, besides it isn't like I have anywhere else to go"

He smiled back. "You sure you want to stay?"

She nodded "yeah of course why wouldn't I?"

He paused and looked at her. "Because when you're on second earth, the likeliness that you will be caught is raised. I guess you were unlucky, they rarely take people from earth"

She looked down, "oh so if im so unlucky then why did I find you?"

He glanced at her, "I wont tell you why but that only proves my point"

She looked up at him, "what do you mean?" She watched as he started through the doorway, "hey wait up what do you mean come on tell me".

He glanced back at her, "I wont but you'll find out sooner or later, even if I don't want you to"

She followed him still wondering about what he had said. They drove through another doorway and into a room; they parked their mini bikes on platforms and he got off. He took his helmet off, "come on lets get going".

She got off and took off her helmet, "fine but could you at least tell me what I said?"

They set their helmets on the seat, he looked at her "nothing just forget about it ok, sorry it isny aything that you said just something I am in". he turned and started to walk away.

She followed him, having to increase her pace to keep up. "well if ti isnt anything I said then why does it feel like you are trying to get away from me?".

He slowed his pace and looked at her. "sorry, no it isnt . . . I cant say it isnt about you because it is, but it isnt anything you said or did, plus I want to see me father".

She nodded and looked forward seeing that he didn't want to talk about it, "so your dad, you said he was the CEO of this place. What do they do here?"

He looked at her glad she changed the subject, "it depends on which section, my dad oversees all of it so I know something about every section, that is one of the reasons I don't see him that often"

"oh sorry, how about this section?".

He looked forward. "this isnt a section. Each section deals with different things".

She glanced at him as they walked through a door and into another hallway, "ok then how about the first section".

He looked at her, "section A? it deals with plants, A1 deals with the growth and development of plants, A2 deals with the processing of food that is derived from plants products, section A3 interacts with another section and provides safe transportation for the food products, A4 deals with the development of fertilizers to help make the plants grow, and A5, A6, and A7 help each other to try and make different plants".

She looked at him not quiet getting why there were so many groups in a section, "oh so section A deals with plants then. Why don't they make A5, A6, and A7 just A5?"

He looked forward and grinned knowing she didn't understand anything he said, "both of them deals with different things, I think A7 deals with chemicals as well but there is a section that deals with it more. I don't know all of the details, though I don't plan on being in section A when I grow up"

She looked at him then around the hall. "so what section do you want to work in?"

He shrugged and looked at her. "don't know just not section A".

They turned a corner and came face to face with another kid. "ok open up"

The guy looked at riku. "I don't think so daddies boy". The guy looked at amber then back to riku

"you don't have to be jealous ,marcus, not everyone can get what they want",

marcus started to get angry and looked at amber. "you better watch out or he'll take you to your doom".

Riku grinned at him. "sorry marcus I beat you to it, but she still insists on being with me", he leaned forward over marcus's shoulder and hit a button on the wall. The door opened and they walked through leaving marcus behind,

She looked at marcus and then back to riku, "what did he mean?.

"I told you, im known for luring girls to their doom"

she looked at him getting a little nervous, "but you said you were just kidding about that".

He stopped and looked at her, "you'll find out soon enough. I might not want you too but we cant avoid it. And I said I was only kidding so you'll cheer up. Sorry, I don't want you to find out sooner then you need to"

She looked at him and nodded. "ok I don't want anything to happen to our friendship, even if I want to know really bad I'll wait"

He looked back in front of them, "im afraid it will hurt our friendship that is why I don't want you to know"

She smiled, "its ok". She could tell it was bothering him a lot. But she didn't want to push him to tell her.

He looked at her. "if you want me to I will, but promise you'll let me explain before you get all mad"

She looked at him, "I . . . ok I promise, but I want you to be the one to tell me, I don't want to hear it from another person ok".

He nodded and they continued to walk down the hall.
