[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

It was 8pm in the Titans tower and Robin and Starfire were watching an action film on their wide screen TV. They were both in the centre of the long couch, Robin had his arm around Starfire and was stroking her hair and Star was curled up with her head on his chest. It was obviously what had happened previously.
“Tell me Robin the man who jumps out of the flying machine, he can fly yes? Perhaps he is from tamaran. Although Tamaranians do not have big sheets of material coming out of their backs” asked the curious alien girl
“Starfire that's called a parachute” replied Robin with a smile
“Tell me the working of the `pariashoote' robin” said Star
“Well you see, as he falls-“
DING!
“Who could be at the door at this time of night?” asked Robin removing his arm from around his love
“Be careful Robin,” said Starfire, pulling him towards her “there could be `bad' people around tonight. She kissed him on the neck passionately.
“Ok,” said Robin, not wanting to get away from her “I'll be careful” he winked and they both jumped behind the couch and went to the elevator.
After pressing the `down' button the elevator went towards the entrance hall. When it landed and the door opened it revealed the 2 lovers in another passionate kiss. They ran towards the door and opened it.

At first it seemed no one was there but as they looked down Starfire gasped. In front of them in the was a boy drenched in water on his hands and knees on the floor, he lifted his head up and with great struggle in an American voice he wheezed “help” and fell through the door.
Robin and Starfire quickly picked him up and rushed him onto a nearby chair, where he breathed heavily.
“What, what happened to you?” asked
Robin in quite a shock. Just as he was about to answer Starfire noticed a brown backpack with metal straps and said “Oh, your bag I shall fetch it”
She began to skip-run toward the backpack when the boy raised his right hand toward the door. The drenched bag zoomed through the air and landed on the boy's knee. The two titans looked at him in shock
“You have powers?” asked Robin.
The boy nodded and again said heavily “that's why… I was being….. Chased”
“Chased!” exclaimed Star “where do you come from?” she asked
“Mercury city” he said, talking slightly better
After having his head down for a while he lifted it up to reveal a face. He had grey eyes and brown hair (it may have been lighter but the rain had made it darker). His black jeans, white T-shirt and brown jacket were water soaked and slightly ripped.
“I thought, maybe I would be safe in Gotham because of you guys having powers. I had no intention of communicating with you; I just wanted a normal life. It was all going well until one night, though I don't know why, my powers went out of control in a crowded street about 3 months ago, I had to escape. So I've been living on the street, eating thrown out food from restaurants.” said the boy
“We were told about someone who had caused havoc in a busy street, we tried to track you down but other problems arose, we forgot about it.” said Robin in remembrance.
“Well you are most welcome to stay in our home for as long as you like. What is your name?” asked Starfire
“Mitchell, my name's Mitchell” he said “thank you for your hospitality”
“No no new friend, this is not a hospital it-“
“No problem,” said Robin putting his hand over her mouth “here, we'll show you to a bedroom”
“How many bedrooms has this place actually got? I heard there were around 30!” said the boy in a happy yet croaky voice
“There's only 8, sorry to disappoint you” replied Robin cheerfully
“Hey, if you made me sleep on the kitchen floor I'd be happy. It's better than what I've been sleeping in”
The 2 Titans lead the new boy to the elevator and arrived on the top floor (below the roof) where the bedrooms were.

(Writer's note: Below I made this up so you could get an idea of what it's like in my story)

“So,” said Robin as the elevator door opened “you could have that room next to Starfire's”
“No no Beast wishes to keep that to remember old friend Terra by,” interrupted Star “perhaps the room next to your room Robin?”
“Errr have you seen that room?” said Robin sarcastically
The 2 walked to their right and Robin opened the door to his neighbour room. Starfire and Mitchell gasped. The room (or you could say scrap heap) was occupied with 12 weapons, 66 toys, 7 pieces of gym equipment, 59 books, 19 maps, 98 pieces of food, 16 weights, 8 computers, 4 pairs of curtains, 2 couches, 23 lamps, 5 car pieces, a motorbike, a fridge, 9 televisions, 34 items of clothing, a tree, about 50 rats, a bed, 4 wardrobes, 13 original paintings by famous/dead artists, a radiator, 2 toilets, 4 sinks, a bath, a big piece of rolled up carpet, gold, Terra (in her stone form) covered in 21 scarfs with bird poo on her head, a desk, a tennis racket, 9 mirrors, 30 pieces of wood, a bad smell, a pot of flowers, dried up Darjeeling tea in a china pot with matching cups and saucers, an old, crying women, a stereo system, 6 computer chairs and finally a miniature model of the Statue of Liberty.
In horror the titans and Mitchell walked backwards out of the room closing the door which had a poster of a hippo with sunglasses on at a beach with the words `funky hippo' at the top of it. As Robin shut the door a cat shriek came from the room, they ignored this and showed Mitchell to the room next to Raven's.
“You should be fine here” said Robin as he opened the door. The room had cream coloured walls, red carpet, a bed, a wardrobe, 2 bedside tables with a phone on one and an alarm clock on the other, a standing light in the corner, a red couch, a TV and a poster advertising coat hangers.
“It's great, thanks so much guys” said Mitchell
“It is not the problem of us” said Star
“Well, we'll see you in the morning Mitch,” said Robin “is it Ok if I call you Mitch?”
“Sure, have a good sleep” said Mitch with a kind smile.
The door shut and Robin and Starfire went towards Robin's room with hands on each others backside.
