Starfire picked up Robin, Bumble Bee picked up Cyborg, Beast Boy picked up Speedy and Aqualad (he was in pterodactyl form) and Marishka stayed at the top looking down at Irontes who had not noticed her.

The others were falling to the surface of the rock feeling the hot evening air push into their stomachs and through their hair (except Cyborg who has no hair).

As usual Robin was first to attack. Being released by Starfire he was in a `kick in the face' position when Irontes stepped to the side and Robin crashed onto the hard floor. As he got up Speedy fired some arrows as he fell to the ground which Irontes directed at Robin, causing him to fly back in pain

“Robin!” screamed Starfire.

She fired several starbolts at Irontes who had controlled Cyborg to act as a shield and take the energy blasts from his team mate

“Aargh!” shouted Cyborg

“Cyborg I am sorry!” said Starfire just a Bumble Bee pulled out her B-shaped stingers and began firing at Irontes. He jumped out of the way and controlled the stingers to face her and Starfire making them both yell. Beast Boy was charging at Irontes in tiger form until he controlled Cyborg to fly into him, knocking them both back.

“Oh man stop using me as a prop!” said Cyborg from on top of Beast Boy

While Irontes watched an approaching Robin, Speedy, Starfire and Bumble Bee, Aqualad was rising up in the water, creating a huge wave behind him

“Hey!” called Aqualad to Irontes as Robin and the others approached him. Irontes smiled and suddenly flashed bright white and disappeared. The wave hit Robin and co and sent them flying back to hit the titan's tower. Aqualad gasped and from behind him floating in the air on a piece of scrap metal he saw Irontes

“Shocked?” he said as he pulled up the metal from under his feet and threw it at Aqualad throwing him back with a yell. Irontes landed in the water and looked at the titans getting up slowly

“Tired already?” he asked “you haven't even touched me yet!”

Suddenly from behind him he was kicked back forcefully, knocking him to the muddy ground. He turned around to see Marishka standing there, he looked slightly scared.

“Tag” she said

“Well Marishka I must say this is a surprise, if I'd have known you were coming I would have made cake” he said standing up

“I don't like cake” she said as her eyes glowed green and she began to change. She was looking at the ground as her skin turned pale, she grew bigger, he clothes grew longer and torn, 2 pale wings sprouted from he back and as she looked up her eyes were completely black and she had 2 long, sharp teeth.

“I prefer blood” she said devilishly

“Aaaargh a Vampire!” screamed Beast Boy who ran behind Cyborg as they all watched what happened next

Marishka lunged herself into Irontes' stomach and they both flew into the titans tower in a cloud of dust. Out of the dust came Irontes who was now barraging himself into her stomach. They both feel into the water and started strangling each other until they both got up and began punching each other everywhere viciously. Irontes winded her then kicked her in the stomach into the shallow surface of the sea where she lay there clutching her stomach. Irontes saw a boat quite far away and hovered it to come right above Marishka. He did one last large smile and turned around to face the titans, making the boat fall onto Marishka.

“No!” exclaimed several of the group

“Titans, go!” shouted Robin

Starfire, Speedy, Cyborg, Bumble Bee and Robin all fired starbolts, arrows, proton canons, stings and bombs at Irontes who simply jumped in the air above them all, then controlled the metal he threw at Aqualad to act as a shield. When the firing stopped he felt something force very hard against the metal and pushing him back, it was Beast Boy in his Gorilla form. BB was punching rapidly at the metal until Irontes slashed him with the corner of the metal very quickly.

“Aaaaargh!” screamed BB in human form

“BB!” shouted Cyborg.

Irontes flew Cyborg into Starfire with his power aggressively.

“Aaaaargh!” shouted Cy and Star

Irontes looked at Speedy, Robin and Bumble Bee who had their bow and arrows, fighting pole and stingers out. Irontes pulled their weapons away from them and then used them on themselves. Robin crawled on the ground as he was hit by his pole while Speedy and Bee ran away in separate directions away from stings and arrows. Suddenly Irontes was hit from behind by Aqualad and stumbled forward, but he then swung his leg and tripped Aqualad up. He reached his hand out and from behind a rock came the long think metal chain which reached his palm. He swung it up, ready to strike Aqualad when everything turns very dark, like the middle of the night suddenly came. Irontes looked over to the boat he had dropped on Marishka. From under the boat there seemed to be small shadows emerging from underneath quickly and they were all forming in the sky. The shadows began to spin round in a circle, then Cyborg turned his built-in light on and the shadows were revealed as bats. There eyes were green and their wings flapped 5 times a second. Suddenly some of the bats emerged from the centre of the circle in a slightly human form, which was shown as Marishka

“It's her, she's back from the dead!” exclaimed BB just as Aqualad slipped away from Irontes while he wasn't looking

“She hasn't come back from the dead!” said Bumble Bee, whose stingers had stopped stinging her

“She must be able to turn into a swarm of bats or something” said Speedy whose arrows had stopped chasing him

Speedy was right. The swarm of bats lunged forward and flew right at Irontes who let out a few `ouch!'s in the process. The swarm then began a pattern where it flew through Irontes one way then the other. At the point where there where no bats on him the titans could see he had several cuts on him. All of a sudden the piece of metal that had been used by Irontes rose up from the air and split into many pieces which then flew straight at the titans. Robin pulled Starfire under his cape with himself, Beast Boy shrunk to a bug size and Aqualad dived into the water, the others were scratched and cut badly by the metal pieces. Bumble had let out a shriek and was now on the floor curled up holding clenching her arm, Speedy was also on the floor with one hand across his forehead and one on his knee and Cyborg had several scratches on his metal armour. While Starfire and Beast Boy attended to the injured Robin and Aqualad watched what was happening. Marishka had become her normal form and was now shouting at Irontes and kicking him while he was on the floor.

“168 people!” she screamed

“I'm sure it wasn't that much!” said Irontes in a terrified voice

“Yes it was!” she yelled “I still have nightmares, all the people you made me…….bite, how dare you, you monster!”

“You think you still have control, well you don't! You and your powers will always be out of control! You don not have the advantage because you know my weakness, I know yours too!” he shouted

Marishka roared and hissed “what is it then?”

“Me!” shouted Irontes jumping up and pushing her on the floor. He pulled out a large silver knife and was about to stab her with it through the heart when-

“AAAAAAAARGH!!!!!!” screamed Irontes as a giant rock was rolled on top of him, and behind the rock was Robin.

“You lose” said Robin who did not help Marishka up as he was slightly nervous of her present form but he didn't show it

“Grrr. I would have only let you and your friends battle me if I knew she was coming” whispered Irontes “get me out from under here”

“Where is Raven?!” shouted Robin

“Your too late, she's dead!” said Irontes with his last words of life
