Chapter 5: Secrets are out.

Holden tries to smile. They pull up to the gates and Kisoka winds down the car window, a guard stepping up. The guard scowls and glares at Kisoka. "Your back already? Damn. Who the hell is that?" The guard growls softly, Holden turning his head, his golden eyes shimmering slightly.

"Open the gate now." He says, his voice razor sharp. "I don't take orders from half-breeds." The guard says. Holden's eyes flash with brimming anger,. He opens the door and steps out of the car, "I'm Yoshiki, you useless little dog. Open the damnable gates now." Holden booms. Kisoka Looks up confused, never having seen Holden like this before. She suddenly remembers that Holden isn't only Holden anymore. "Open the gates now." She says, "My father is expecting us." The guard nods, opening the gate, obviously scared witless. Holden gets back inside the car, shutting the door, just as Kisoka begins to drive.

Holden watches out the window, quite for a few minutes, before whispering, "They aren't going to try to keep me here, are they?" Kisoka shakes her head, pulling over to the side of the road. "They wouldn't try. If you don't want to be here, they wont try to keep you. If they did, they'd have to deal with me." Holden smiles for the first time since they entered Harpy territory. "We're nearly there. Are you ready for this?" Holden sighs and nods, thinking of Vincent.

Kisoka pulls back onto the road and drives for a few more minutes, before they reach the gates to the harpy palace. The guards there open the gates without question, bowing low. Kisoka sighs softly, which Holden raises an eyebrow over. "What is it?" He asks. "I miss Azriel. I do every time I come here now." Holden giggles softly, "You've fallen completely in love with her, haven't you?" Kisoka looks at him as though he's crazy. "I have feelings for her, which you know, but I don't know if I'm in love." Holden grins and says, "I think it's cute. My best friend and my sister." He grins at her, avoiding narrowly avoiding getting thumped on the head. "You know it isn't like that. We aren't even together." Holden grins, nodding. "So it's only lust then." Kisoka nods. And then realizes what Holden said. "Hey! That's not fair! It isn't just lust!" Holden laughs, "But it is lust somewhat?"

"Yes, somewhat. What was it that you said while you were drunk? `if you were a guy, I'd shag you until you bled' wasn't it?" Kisoka grins and laughs, looking at the shocked look on Holden's face. "SHE TOLD YOU THAT?!" Holden nearly faints. Kisoka pulls the car in at the front entrance to the palace, trying to stop laughing long enough to breathe. "She told me ages ago." Holden sits looking aghast. "I'm going to get her one day." He murmurs softly. "Oh, don't take it so personally." Kisoka giggles, "It's not like I wouldn't have found out anyway." Holden chuckles softly, before throwing an empty soda bottle at her head. "I suppose we should go inside." He says, smiling now, "It's not so bad at the moment." Kisoka nods and they both get out of the car, grabbing their bags from the back. "We'll get you settled, then it's time to go see Arcana and Mordecai." Holden nods, and they both walk inside.

Azriel sits around, wondering how things are going for Holden and Kisoka. Atleast they are getting along. I miss her, as usual. I hope Holden's going to be ok. If they hurt him, I don't know what I'd do. I don't know what I would do if something happened to either of them. She'd better look after him, or I'll never forgive her, no matter how much I love her. "Wait, I love her? Gods, I didn't realize that." Does she feel the same way? Azriel sighs and leans her head back. A knock comes from the front door. "Coming!" Azriel calls out, getting up and walking to the door, opening it and smiling. "Your early. I thought you weren't planning to get here until tomorrow." Coral flashes her a smile and giggles. "Surprise." Azriel hugs the younger girl and shows her inside.
