Ok, now that I have taken care of that, here is the first part of the story-
In the kingdom Danshi, a young prince named Nikolai stood on a marble balcony that over looked the peaceful city over looking the mighty river Rathe, the lush green land was sprinkled with red roofs of the city's houses. The closer his dark blue eyes came to the palace where he stood, the fewer trees he saw. When the mighty flora ceased completely, it was replaced by looming clay buildings and uneven dirt roads.
His father, Manuk, was one of four reincarnations of the ancient spirits. Every hundred years or so, all of the spirits where reincarnated into the same time period, so naturally the city was at a strong point in its long history. Along with the three other lords, Manuk ruled the land from a citadel that was resting on a hill towards the middle of the city.
As the fifteen year old prince gazed at his future kingdom (his father was the only lord to have children) a teenage servant girl stepped out onto the polished balcony to retrieve the lord's young son for his evening meal.
"Sir?" she asked uneasily, her eyes never quite meeting his own. "I am instructed to lead you down to the dinning hall, orders of Lord Manuk."
"Saraheth…" his youthful voice was gentle, and hinted of naiveté. When the girl turned to leave, causing her black skirt on her uniform to billow out slightly, he spoke again. "Saraheth, how many times do I have to ask you? Please don't call me sir, or anything along that line."
"B-but sir! It is not my place to call you by your birth name. I would not be welcome here in you father's palace if I forgot my respect."
He sighed, obviously frustrated at the loosing battle. "Then will this work better for you? I order you to use respect around my father and the other lords."
"Yes..?" Saraheth answered slowly
"You didn't let me finish," Nikolai snapped slightly, but when she flinched his face softened again. "As I was saying, around nobles I order you to show your respect towards me, but among just the two of us my name is all I will tolerate being called by. Understand?"
"Yes s-" her mouth snapped shut before she finished the word. "Yes, Nikolai."
"Thank you. Now what was it you where here for again?" Nikolai asked, somewhat smug from his power over the girl.
The blonde haired servant smiled slightly, mentally rolling her eyes at his tone, but obediently replying with the information he wanted to hear. "I was sent here to bring you down to the dinning hall by your father. And if it isn't too bold of me to mention, we will be late if we do not quicken our pace."
"Wait out in the hall for me as I change," Nikolai said. Adding a moment later when she did move with a smirk on his face, "That is of course you would rather wait in here."
Her hazel brown eyes widened before she squealed and ran from the room with out a moment's hesitation. Nikolai chuckled for a minute before slowly pulling on more formal clothing for whatever his father had planned.
Outside in the hallway, Saraheth gazed at the paintings of the `Element Spirits' as she often referred to them by. Each one had its own uniqueness and mysterious aurora surrounding it. Her eyes lingered on the bare spot on the wooden walls, where the painting of Lua once hung. In its place lay a ghostly outline and an eye catching sense of unbalance with the rest of the palace's perfection.
No matter how many times servants tried to repair the sun bleached portion of the wall, it always returned to how it was when the painting spontaneously disappeared along with a shrine dedicated to the mysterious spirit.
Saraheth remembered the stories she had been told about the painting, and what its contents looked like. Lua was said to have beautiful feathered wings tinted the color of a summer sky, relating back to the fact she was the spirit of the sky. When they where at their full wing span, they reached just under ten feet. Lua's golden hair was wavy and filled with silver highlights, her eyes where indigo also with silver highlights speckled within the deep blue.
To the left of the missing painting was the portrait of Mito, said to be the most powerful of all living creatures. Although the spirit of the Earth was one of the more powerful spirits, she was also the smallest and most human looking. Being around five feet tall, she barely stood taller than young lord Nikolai. But unlike humans, her hair was like gold silk scarf flowing behind her, defying gravity as she gracefully floated on her feet when she walked. The one feature that set her apart from mortals the most was her eyes, golden like the sun itself with small bits of emerald showing through near her pupils.
To the right of the bare patch of wall was Calor, spirit of the fire. Calor was thought to be a rebellious spirit, associated with mischief and also mistakes. The fire spirit was the only of the four elements to have the shape shifting ability. In his normal state he stood about seven feet tall, towering over the three other spirits. His coffee colored hair was shaggy, hanging over his green eyes. The symbol of fire was evident on his face, creating a thin crescent moon jutting from about his left eyebrow down across his nose to his right cheek.
Lastly, to the right of Calor's painting rested Dauno's picture. The youngest spirit was just taller then Lua, but still respectively shorter than Calor. His short blue hair gave him a magical, untamed look. Being the spirit of the water, he had several adaptations to be able to survive the harshness of the river that flowed through his home land, as well as the many oceans that surrounded the land. On his neck where gills, on his hands where claws. Between his fingers where thin layers of skin, giving him the ability for quick maneuvering in the water.
Nikolai came out of his room unnoticed by Saraheth, whom was still absorbed in the paintings. Coming up behind her, he gently wrapped his arms around her waist, causing her to jump slightly. The action was not really of any significance, just a greeting the two had shared since they were very young.
"Come Nikolai. Let's go now, if we stall any longer the might come to look for you," the thirteen year old girl said while walking down the hallway, headed towards the dinning hall. Turning back around when she didn't hear him coming, "Coming?"
Sighing he jogged the small amount of floor that stood between them, once again coming to her side. But instead of walking further, he grabbed onto Saraheth's hand and pulled her gently to a halt. Surprised, she turned towards him, only to see his deep blue eyes holding an emotion she had never seen in them before, love.
Blushing before finally coming to her senses, she asked, "What is it Nikolai?" Looking in to his eyes, she tried to find an answer to her question before he answered.
Not responding to her question, he leaned his head in until their faces where nearly touching. "I have a question."
"Y-yes sir?" she added, her habit returning as she became nervous.
"Why do I want to kiss you?" he said in such a serious tone, Saraheth couldn't tell if he was joking or not. She decided that she would look on the positive side of life, and go for the kill.
Closing her eye lids slowly as she moved her face the remaining distance between the two until her lips brushed his in a soft, chaste kiss.

So, what did you think? Hm... I can see now there might be some things I will need to move in the future, but I'll worry about that later…
Until next time,
