Psycho stared at the ceiling. Demon, Fury, Despair and Ruin were lying on the floor, all around him. Feeling eyes upon him, Psycho looked over at Demon. Demon had that look on his face again. "Let me guess," said Psycho, with a sigh. "It's time for us to leave them again." Demon nodded. "This is their life, not ours. It's time to get Shadow and Angel and leave them to themselves, until they need us again." "What about us?" asked Despair, sitting up. Ruin rose up on one elbow. "What about you?" asked Fury, also sitting up. "Can we go with you?" asked Ruin. "Why?" Psycho wanted to know. "This isn't our place. This is a Wolf Pack, despite the fact that your sisters run the place. We don't belong here," said Ruin. Demon was nodding, slowly. "Fine. You're right. The two of you are welcome to join us." "We leave at dawn," said Psycho.

Diablo woke to whimpers. They were far away, down the hall in Mayhem's room, but he heard them as if they were right next to him. He slid out of bed and almost ran down the hall. At the door, he stopped. Trouble was already there, holding Mayhem and quieting her. She looked up at his presence. "I was sleeping in the next room," she said, quietly, in explanation. Diablo nodded and went to sit on the edge of the bed. "Is she okay?" Trouble nodded. "Just a bad dream." She moved aside so Diablo could hold his daughter. Mayhem blinked at him, sleepily. "Daddy?" "Hi, Baby. How do you feel?" "Tired," she said, her eyelids drooping. "Okay, Mayhem. Just go back to sleep," he whispered, lying her on the pillows and pulling up the blankets. He started to rise, but her eyes snapped open and her tiny hand caught his wrist like a vise. "NO! Stay here, stay here," she begged, pulling on him. "Shh. Okay, sweetie, okay. I'm right here," he said, lying next to her in the small bed. Trouble smiled as Mayhem climbed into Diablo's arms in such a manner as he would never escape without waking her. Standing, she pulled the covers up, over both of them. "You two sleep tight," she said, with a grin. "This is not funny," Diablo informed her. "Wanna bet?" Trouble said, walking out of the room.

Prank woke, slowly, in his darkened bedroom. Chaos was still asleep, the human girl wrapped in her arms. Feeling a weight on his feet, he looked down. There was Rascal, curled up at the foot of the bed. Smiling, Prank sat up and pulled his son up to the pillows, covering him with the blankets. He didn't stir. Chaos did, though, rolling over to look at him. "Hi," he said. She smiled. "Hi." "Are you ready to take Katie home?" Prank asked. Chaos sighed and nodded. "Yeah. It's time to take her back to her mother."

"What do you mean, you're leaving?" asked Trouble, holding on to Demon. "We gotta go. Once again, this isn't our place. We don't belong here," said Psycho, kissing the top of Jinx's head. "And Despair and Ruin?" asked Chaos. Ruin nodded. "This is your Pack. We belong with our own kind." "As long as you know you're always welcome here," said Diablo, holding Mayhem. Kismet and Storm stood nearby, watching the good-byes. "We'll be back to visit," Despair promised. "It was nice to meet you. Sorry it wasn't under better circumstances," said Shadow, shaking hands with everyone. "Bye," said Angel, simply.

And they were gone again, leaving the Pack alone. Trouble, Diablo, Jinx, Echo, Chaos, Prank, Kismet, Storm and the kids. Four vampiresses, four Wolves, three pups and a human girl who was ready to go home.

"All right, Katie, this is it. Your mommy's waiting for you. Remember, Sweetie, if you ever need us, for anything, just go to the cliffs and call my name," said Chaos, quietly. Katie nodded and Chaos hugged her, then gave her a small push toward the house. Chaos stepped into the shadows as Katie reached her front door and it opened. The human woman fell to her knees and pulled her daughter close, crying. As Chaos and Prank turned to leave, the woman looked up, into the darkness. "Thank you. Thank you for not hurting my baby," she said, somehow knowing they would hear.

"Prank, what's wrong with Spell!?" Chaos called, coming down the stairs. Prank turned around, his youngest tow-headed daughter in his arms. "Nothing." "Magic?" asked Chaos, looking at the playpen. Spell's twin, two minutes older, blinked big brown eyes at her, grinning. "No," said Prank. "It's Pandora," said Diablo, coming in from the kitchen. Trouble was right behind him, with her daughter, whose mercury eyes were so like Discord's, but whose blond hair was all Trouble's. "Storm, is that Fate!?" Kismet called, running down the stairs. "No, hon, it's Pandora," said Storm, carrying their daughter in from the kitchen. Fate stared up at her father with his blue green eyes and Kismet's blond hair. "What's with all the noise?" asked Scamp, coming inside with Rascal and Mayhem. "Face it, son, we live in a house full of women," said Echo. Jinx slapped him. Mayhem went and sat beside Trouble, playing with Pandora, who finally stopped crying. Scamp and Rascal sat on the floor beside the playpen and Prank put Spell in with her sister.

Prank looked around. Jinx and Echo were watching Scamp play with the twins. Jinx was almost due with their second. Trouble and Diablo sat close together, with Mayhem and Pandora, whom they'd each adopted as their own. Kismet was taking Fate from Storm and sitting beside him. Chaos was leaning over the playpen, laughing with her girls, Magic and Spell, as Rascal made faces at them.

Chaos looked up to see Prank watching everyone with a serious look on his face. She went to his side. "What is it?" He sighed. "Nothing." Then, he looked around again and started to laugh. She looked up at him, sharply. "What's so funny?" Chaos demanded. Prank spoke through his laughter. "Baby, when you wished for a little girl in the house, I think you got a little carried away!"
