Fan Fiction ❯ Silent Prayers ❯ Me too (chapter three) ( Chapter 3 )
Ignoring it didn't really work but that was all she could do in a situation like this, so that is what she did. Aldria kept looking everywhere because of how late it was, she knew she shouldn't have stayed for so long at the café, this was why whatever his name was capable of coming to the café without being in a bad mood. Personal experience told her that Vampires didn't need to stay in the dark they just preferred it because they could see better then their prey, although that wasn't the only reason some Vampires despised the sun because it stood for life which was something they could never feel again.
When she had finally made back to her room she was very tired and quickly slipped into bed only to be rudely awaken a few hours later. It was none other then Nummair and he wanted to talk because there was nothing for him to do anymore. "How the hell did you get in here?" Aldria finally crocked out in her sleepy state.
"Well it was very simple when I went through the window which I might add was unlocked, you really should be more careful."
"What time is it?"
"It's already four!"Nummair's voice was all cheery which only seemed to annoy Aldria more.
"In the morning?!" Her voice was shocked.
"Well yeah, what did you expect from me I am a vampire you know."
"Go away you nuisance I NEED my sleep!" She nearly yelled throwing a pillow in his general direction.
"Baby! You don't have to be rude I'm leaving. See you tomorrow." He sounded a little put out but Aldria was asleep even before he shut her door.
When Aldria was finally awake it was almost dusk which was very surprising considering the fact that Aldria hardly ever overslept. When she walked out of her bathroom from taking a shower, Nummair was calmly sitting on her bed with a suitcase lying next to him on the bed. There was a silent exchange, and Aldria finished packing her things and walked after Nummair holding her one suitcase.
They both checked out very quickly and were soon in a taxi to go to the hotel that Oric had ordered a room for them in. It really wasn't going to be a fun few days because at the hotel were people who were going to turn her into the `perfect' looking agent. She was going to turn into one of Oric's pets.
The car ride was shared in silence although Nummair kept looking at her as if he wanted to talk to her but of course she just kept rubbing him off. Aldria was a very serious person and Nummair had never been one so this was torture for him just to sit in a car in complete silence for twenty minutes.
After they stopped at the hotel an attendant showed each of them to their rooms, both were the kind of rooms that rich guests would be given with a nice big bed each. But before Aldria could enjoy the room another attendant came for Aldria who took a deep breath but followed the woman who was leading her. They came to a beauty salon within the hotel. "Here just take a seat and out hair stylist will be with you in a minute, I believe he knows how you want your hair so just let him get to work." The attendant said in an all too fake cheerful voice before leaving the room.
Soon the hairstylist himself came out to cut her hair, he walked in wearing a uniform with an apron over it, his own hair was spiked up and lime green. He snorted as he looked at her hair, then without even caring to speak he pulled her hair into a pony tail and cut it, he walked away for a minute with the pony tail in his hand, but when he walked back it was nowhere to be seen.
Hair began to fall down at an alarming rate to Aldria who had only had her hair cut as a small child. While the stylist was washing her hair he finally spoke. "I hope you don't mind but I'm donating that hair I cut off."
"That is perfectly fine with me." She whispered, but had to stop that was the reason she had begun to grow her hair out all those years ago.
When all of the styling was finished Aldria was allowed to see herself with her new hair cut. Her hair was ear level and it puffed itself out on either side making her look very stylish and alive. It was a shocking change but a change that she had to endure, yet somehow she knew that it was the end, tomorrow someone would come with the new clothes that Oric wanted her to wear, she knew it because as she was ready to leave the salon another attendant walked up to her with and took quick measurements.
Nummair was yet again waiting for her in her own room; he took a quick look at her and couldn't help but laugh which only forced Aldria to throw another pillow at him. She shooed him from her room and knelt down to pray, when she walked out to join him for dinner he was completely serious as he asked her a question.
"What do you pray for?"
"What are you talking about?" Aldria tried to shove the subject aside.
"No I'm serious I know that you were praying. Are you praying for your family or something?"
There was a long silence but Aldria didn't want Nummair to see her cry so she spoke, it seemed to be the only thing she could do. "When I pray, I pray for forgiveness."
"I do too." The walk to the hotel restaurant was shared in silence because both of them seemed to be too rapped up in thought.
