Fan Fiction ❯ Sin Fate Envy ❯ Love and Ditching ( Chapter 9 )

You know when you have a moment and then someone walks in. Usually it's awkward for both parties, but then there are people who are oblivious to when a moment has just happened. Well this is what happened. Sin wanted nothing more then to hide, Angelus on the other hand wanted to shoot the four people who came barging into his home with no introduction. Angelus was a very possessive person, when you messed with (as in hurt, embarrassed, or anything he happened to see unfit at the time) something of his your best course of action is to run like hell, and never go near him until he approaches you without the intention of causing you bodily harm.
“Sin are you ok!?” Envy and Fate cried as they ran up to her after Phoenix opened the door for them with the key that he had for emergency purposes.
Sin stood up from the couch hurriedly and said, “Yeah, I'm ok, just a rough refresher course…”
“I can't believe that you didn't call us personally!” Fate scolded her. “You know that we'll think that something's really wrong if you don't call us and tell us things yourself.”
Sin just shrugged, she wasn't about to say that the reason she couldn't call was because she had been in a minor state of shock from killing two people. “Uh…you know adrenalin messes with your judgment.”
“True.” Envy said as she and Fate eyed Sin. They didn't quite believe her, but they figured that she'd tell them if something really bad happened.
“We ran all the way out here so she could tell us that she was perfectly okay…” Phoenix sighed. “I saw it coming…I really did…”
“Well, I'd want to know if my friend was ok too,” The other guy said with a shrug, “but, yeah, I saw it coming too.”
“You're Jo right?” Sin questioned as she watched as Envy gravitated back to him; it was like the magnet effect. She didn't have the pleasure of meeting him at school, but she assumed he was the one Envy had been talking about.”
“Yeah, why?” Jo asked moving some hair out of his face.
“I was just wondering who Envy felt so comfortable dancing with…” Sin said with a shrug and a wave of her hand. So her plan to get the subject off her failed, and now she sounded like a complete fool to herself.
“What happened before we got here?” Fate asked as she watched Sin like a hunter stalking its prey, a grin playing on her lips.
“Nothing!” Sin nearly yelped and Angel said defensively.
“Oh really?” Fate asked he grin widening as she walked after a retreating Sin.
“Really…” Sin claimed as she fell on the couch next to Angelus. “Really, really. I mean what's there to hide?”
Fate raised an eyebrow at Angelus to see if he'd tell her as she leaned down to be at their eyelevel. It must have been something good if Angelus wasn't even chiming in to tell everybody like a five-year-old. “Mmhmm…”
“Oooh they're hiding something!” Envy said as she lightly bounced around until Jo stopped her by wrapping an arm around her.
Phoenix eyed his long time best friend before saying, “Why don't we leave them to their little secret for now, we'll get them tomorrow at school.”
Fate stood up straight before saying, “Which you both will be attending no matter what. Also Sin I'll tell the Nell's that you're staying here, and you're perfectly safe.”
“Thanks…” Sin said with a nod as she relaxed at the fact that Phoenix was saving Angelus and her from having to spill a moment that she wanted to keep to herself.
“Why don't we get to find out the secret?” Envy whined before she was led out of the house by a smiling Jo who was shaking his head at the sky. “But it's a really good one! I can tell!”

“They're going to be mad…” Sin said as Angelus pulled her out the back entrance of the school. “Fate's going to kill you for this by the way…”
“We'll come back before our next class.” Angelus said with a grin. “Besides its open campus, and they never said we had to stay at school they just said we had to come to school.”
“I think it was implied,” Sin laughed as they started walking down the street, “or it should go without saying, something along those lines.”
“Maybe…but do you really care?” Angelus asked as he pulled her against his side. “We'll make it back eventually…”
“I don't think you guys will.” Jean said in a singsong tone of voice from behind them.
“What the hell?” Sin said as she and Angelus turned around. There standing in font of them was a group of boys standing around Jean. Sin moved closer to Angelus and grabbed onto his hand trying to get him to leave with her.
“You see these guys are a little mad at you guys for leaving a parade of bodies in there headquarters.” Jean was grinning at Sin and Angelus as she motioned to the men. “I told them that I'd alarm them of when you guys left school, I didn't know it'd be before school let out, but they were close by anyway.”
They one next to Jean then taunted, “Angelus I'd pay attention to your pretty little girlfriend there and start running.”
