Fan Fiction ❯ Six Years ❯ Chapter 25
The horses walked over to the stream and lowered their heads to drink, the warm afternoon sun reflecting slightly off of their smooth hides. They twitched their tails slightly in contentment at the opportunity to stop moving and commune with nature. Vengeance blinked his dark eyes as he raised his head from the stream, the water dripping off of his snout and then he shook his head and lowered his mouth to take another drink. Izo knelt down on the soft grass and removed the remnants of his robe then spread his bluish white wings. The jewels embedded in the skin on his wing tips glistened in the sun as he shut his eyes to savor the calm feeling of the stream. It was a feeling that he may never get to experience a second time. He winced slightly as he stood and Kana inspected the cuts on his back. He brought a hand to the tip of Izo's wings and stroked them. Izo winced slightly again and Kana pushed him towards the water.
"I sense no poison coming from your wounds but it would be best if you thoroughly wash them. You let your human form take quite a beating. Because of that, your natural armor was weakened," Kana said as he ran his hands down Izo's back. Izo smiled as he envisioned the lovemaking that was going to follow shortly.
"Will you join me, sir?" Izo inquired and Kana smiled as he drew away from the major.
"I'd love to. I haven't had a decent bath since we left your place. Join us, Ryo. This may be the last chance for a good bath," he said as he removed his clothing.
"I should have helped you, sir. I'm sorry," Izo said as he watched Ryo get undressed. "Looks like you'll be needing some new clothes again."
"These are getting a little tight," Ryo agreed as he pushed down his briefs. Izo shuddered suddenly and glanced down at his legs where Kana knelt tracing a trail of dried blood with his claws.
"He didn't strike me down there, sir. I don't know how I got cut down there," Izo said as Kana licked the blood off of Izo's leg. "Sir..."
"Let's get into the water and have some fun," Kana said as Ryo jumped into the stream. The horses drew quickly back and Vengeance glared at Ryo and indignantly shook his mane. The stallion then snorted loudly and trotted away from the stream. Ryo then directed a stream of water at Izo's face and Izo glared at him.
"You little brat! I'm going to make you pay!" Izo growled and Ryo stuck out his tongue. Izo ran in the water after Ryo and Kana sat on the bank of the stream to watch them. Vengeance snorted again and Kana glanced at him.
"Get over it. It's only water. You've had more than that on you before. You've been through an entire river before," Kana said and Vengeance turned his head to the side as if he had not heard anything the general had said.
Nightwing glanced at the other horses for a moment then ventured forward. He placed a hoof in the stream and kicked at the water. He shook the droplets of water off his nose then glanced at his reflection in the stream. Ryo stopped and shook his wings, spraying Nightwing with water drops and Nightwing drew away to a safer location.
"You can't get me if you can't catch me!" Ryo cried and Izo raised his hands.
"Now you've made him mad," Kana said as a small water spout formed in the stream.
"Hey you can't control water," Ryo said as the spout moved forward.
"I don't have to control water if I can control wind. What makes a tornado, Ryo?" Izo asked as the spout grew larger.
"Wind."
"This is the same as a tornado, only it's in water. Plus, it's going to give you the drenching of a lifetime."
Ryo placed his hands in front of him and released a blast of fire that turned Izo's water spout to steam. Izo's eyes grew wide in shock and Ryo grinned triumphantly.
"What the...?" Izo asked, his mouth open wide.
"Heat naturally accompanies fire and if the fire is stronger than the water, water is canceled out," Ryo said and Izo glared at him.
"You little brat! That's not fair!"
"You've just got to get back at me some other way."
Izo glared at him and Ryo laughed for a moment then scrambled out of the water. Izo pulled himself onto the bank and glared at Kana who sat looking innocent by the water's edge.
"General!" he cried and Kana smiled.
"Water is a good courier of electricity. Shocking news, isn't it?" he inquired and Izo folded his arms in annoyance. He walked over to where Kana sat and pushed him into the water. There was a silence as Izo watched the water intently.
"Where is he?" Ryo asked as he gazed at the surface of the water.
"The general must be underwater. He's got a playful side to him. He just doesn't show it much. In any event, I'm going to get back at that bastard for shocking me," Izo said.
"I've never heard you speak ill of the general before."
"I do occasionally. It's just that what he did could have killed us if the voltage had been enough. Help!" Izo cried as something grabbed his arm and pulled him into the water. He was dragged beneath the surface where Kana embraced him and kissed him deeply. After a few seconds, Izo drew away and rose to the surface gasping for air.
"Did you have to be so forceful?" Izo demanded and Kana grinned.
"I told you I wanted to have fun in the water," he said and ran his hands over Izo's shoulders.
"Why did you have to shock us to let us know, then? You could have just said something."
"Don't be so upset, major. I deliberately made the jolt low voltage. I had no intention of injuring either you or Ryo. I didn't think that my actions would get such an electrifying result from you. Now come on, this may be the last time we have a bath. Let's make it enjoyable for both of us."
Izo relaxed and Kana smiled. He ran his hands over Izo's wings for a moment then pushed Izo's hair forward and ran his hands underneath Izo's wings. He then moved his hands down his back until he reached Izo's rump. Izo stood still, feeling every movement Kana made on his skin. He shivered slightly as Kana moved to a more sensitive spot on his body.
Ryo shook his wings then inspected his own body. How did they make the sounds they made? How could they make that area of their body get so stiff? Why was it an enjoyable pastime? He knew it was a staple of his kind but why was it so important? He drew his hands away from his body and sat on the bank to watch the other two. He was still too young to experience the feelings himself, but he was certainly getting curious about the rituals of sex. Izo cried out and Ryo lay down in the grass. He didn't know why, but hearing their sounds almost made it seem like his father was still alive. He shut his eyes as the warm sun fell onto his golden wings, drying them completely. He was looking forward to when he could actually make love to someone. He just hoped it wouldn't be Lee. He didn't hate Lee, he told himself, he just didn't want to be stuck with him as a lover.
"He's just way too odd," He said aloud then glanced back at Nightwing, who was nuzzling him with his nose. He smiled then sat up and patted the horse's nose. Nightwing shook his head and knelt beside him. Ryo watched the horse shut his eyes then turned his attention back to the stream where the older demons seemed to be involved in a kind of wrestling match.
"What are you doing to him?" Ryo asked and Kana glanced back at him.
"Exciting him. I'll explain after I'm done. He loves the feeling of teeth on his flesh," Kana replied and Ryo turned his attention back to Nightwing.
"You know, sometimes you make more sense than they do."
Nightwing glanced at him through half-closed eyes and then laid his head on the grass. Ryo leaned against the body of his horse and closed his eyes as he let the sun's rays warm and dry his body.

Lee lay on the bed groaning softly as he writhed in pleasure as he once again dreamed about his reunion with Ryo. He wondered what his personality would be like as he opened his eyes and sat up. He sighed as he gazed at the sheets. He'd have to wash them again. He stood up and stretched then folded his wings. He would have to find some other outlet for his pent-up energy. He was only torturing himself by fantasizing about him. He pulled out a fresh set of clothes and got dressed. Perhaps going for a walk would help. At least then he'd be doing something instead of pining for Ryo. He hated being in his human form but he didn't have a choice. Not if he wanted to stay alive. He put on his shoes then picked up his keys and walked out of the apartment.
The night air was cool, Lee noted as he shivered. He wondered if he should go back in and get a jacket then decided against it. If he went back inside, it was possible that he would never come out again. At least not until later in the day. He began walking down the street, his ears alert to the sounds of the creatures of the night. He had forgotten just how dangerous things but he was determined to take a walk. He glanced at the cars that drove down the street then stopped at an intersection. Lee turned left and continued walking. Eventually, his walk led him over a bridge that spanned a river. He paused and looked over the edge of the bridge. Pools of the edge of the bridge. Pools of water rippled in three or four places as fish ventured close to the surface to breathe. He tried to watch their underwater movements for a moment then after realizing it was too dark to see anything, moved on.
"You looking for something special?" a man in dark clothing asked and Lee jumped slightly.
"Not really. I'm just taking a walk," Lee replied and the man looked at him suspiciously.
"At three in the morning? Come on, no one's going to believe that. You're looking for something, right? Or do you want some female companionship?"
Lee stared at the stranger for a moment then turned away. How could humans think that he favored women? He smiled politely then turned away.
"No thanks. I couldn't sleep and I wanted to take a walk to think. That's all," Lee said and walked away. How could he even think about a woman in the same way he thought about a man? He shook his head and turned the corner. He was going to head back to his apartment. He felt much better now. Perhaps he would ask D if he knew of any opportunities that he could undertake. Unfortunately, there were numerous limitations because of his age, but maybe, there was some sort of activity that he could do to take his mind off of his future reunion with Ryo.

"Damn you, Kana," Levin growled as he paced the throne room floor. "Damn you! Three attempts to kill you and they all failed! Who's left, guards?"
"Uh...well since you lost three of your five generals, sir, you only have two left," one guard said and Levin threw a goblet across the room.
"I'm fully capable of counting, you imbecile! Names! Give me names!"
"Names. Erm...right...well there's Aravorn the Swift and Kansan the Blind. Kansan is a general? How can a blind man lead an army?"
"I asked you for names, not your opinion. You don't want to join your companion in tonight's slaughter, do you?"
"No sir."
"I didn't think you did. Now I suggest that you stay in my good graces and do you wish to know how to do that?"
"Yes I do, sir."
"Bring me Aravorn and Kansan immediately!"
Levin watched the guard scamper off in fright and narrowed his eyes. The entire conquering the throne idea had not gone over quite as well as he had hoped it would and now the constant setbacks were making him furious. Why was it such a challenge to locate his enemies when no one had even expected that the kingdom would be invaded that dark day over three years ago? Why hadn't he killed Kana right there when he had requested banishment? He damned himself for being so blinded by the victory that he was unable to see the threat. He had been so sure that Kana would perish in the wild but Kana's survival skills had proved to be extraordinary and it seemed to him that Kana was merely playing a game with him. A game of survival and what annoyed him the most was the fact that the former Royal General was winning. Something had to be done about Kana and something had to be done immediately.
