Mind Over Matter

behind my fake smile and touched-up face

You will find in my heart a secret love case

It's something I hide and have always feared

Crying myself to sleep, wondering if you cared

Listen to me now, who cares what they say

We're better off alone, any day, anyway

Don't pay attention to them. They don't speak their mind

True love, for them will be harder to find

We found it already so why try to impress

Who cares what you look like, good or a mess.

Its' what on the inside that counts but not what you see

Mind over matter, do you love me… Let's see.
