Chapter 1-The Sorceress's Knight

It was so dark, the moonlight was the only thing that could make his shadow visible. He walked silently down the hall. His slender blade glimmered under the moonlight. It was a full moon. The moon made it easy to distinguish his black hair and clothes from the dark shadowy surroundings. He walked like a shadow, not making any sound, not leaving a single trail of anything behind. Then he came to a door. A crest was engraved on it...the symbol of his mistress. He opened the door and walked in.

She stood at the front of the room. She was standing at the balcony that overlooked her garden and gave her the perfect view of the moon and stars. Her back was turned to him, which made her white wings very visible.

His blade was still in his hand right beside him. "My mistress, Ea..." he spoke (It's pronounced EE`ya).

She turned around and slowly walked down the steps to her knight. Her white, silk dress dragged behind her. "Dante...have you found my dear sister yet?" her empty voice asked.

He looked at her face. "Yes. Her guardian is vanquished, however, we could not defeat her..." he said, almost apologetically.

"Oh...?" her cold voice replied. Her head tilted a bit and her head ornament jingled. Her mahogany eyes almost glowed.

"...she killed all of our men...I am sorry Ea..."

"Not to worry...of course she won, she is not weak..."

"You knew they would die?"

"Yes...I only wanted to see if she would be willing to fight back...and she is..."

"Ea, why did you send them then?"

"It was fun to watch them die..." she said. The woman smirked.

Dante was intimidated now. He was fearless, but his mistress often scared him. His dark eyes dilated.

"Tell the ones in search to look for a woman in the Shadow Forest. Dark haired, dark eyed, dressed in black clothing," she told him.

"Yes, Mistress..." he said quietly. His voice quivered a bit.

The woman then hovered. Her long golden hair billowed and her dress wafted as she floated toward her knight. The feathers from her wings drifted in plain air. She let herself land right in front of him. He was taller than she was. Then her arms wrapped around him. She rested her head onto his chest and closed her eyes. "You're afraid..." she whispered.

Dante put his arms around her. "It's hard to be brave in the presence of a Sorceress."

She smiled.

It was still afternoon, he couldn't believe it. The young Dragon Knight rarely ever got lost. He walked in the forest. It was so green and wide, every step he took seemed endless. His brown hair would flow a little after each light breeze blew. Then he came to an end. The forest stopped at a short cliff. But beyond was an even more endless forest. His blue eyes stared ahead. He hated being sent out to the forest to look for any signs of spellcasters snooping around. It was torture. He would have to roam around the forest, keeping a close eye on his surroundings, but also to be careful of his trail. This time, he wasn't as careful...

"Dammit...never went out this far before...I can't see where the city is..." he said to himself. He jumped down the cliff. It wasn't that steep, short enough for a Dragon Knight to easily jump. Then he kept on wandering. He would find his way back eventually.

The view was actually quite lovely. The sun was over head, the sky was clear, and there wasn't any intruder so far. He kept walking slowly, more like strolling. He never had a chance to relax like this. Whenever he was back home, he was either busy doing errands for the local people, or being bugged by the girl who had the biggest crush on him. Then he came across a small spring. It was so quiet and peaceful. He closed his eyes and he could hear the wind. He opened his eyes to the ground and saw a small shining object. He picked it up. It was a small blade of some sort, a Dragon was branded on one side of the glimmering silver blade. "It's a switchblade...I wonder who it belongs to..." he thought.

Then he heard footsteps from behind. The Dragon Knight instinctively drew out his own blade and pointed it at a young girl behind him. He quickly slipped the switchblade into his pocket. She was brown-haired, just like he was, her eyes were also a vivid blue, like his were. She wore clothes resembling a spellcaster, a black dress with a short black cloak over it. But he felt something inside that told him she was safe.

"Who are you?" he asked. His voice was rather cold and a bit rough. She didn't smile, she wasn't smiling to begin with. She only looked at him.

"I was about to ask you the same question," she replied. Her voice however, sounded much nicer. But she wasn't enthusiastic about his appearance. His sword was still pointed right at her face.

"What do you want?" he asked.

The girl walked over to a rock near the spring and sat. The young boy only watched her. He lowered his weapon but he was still tense.

"Who am I? My name is Dizzy. What do I want? Nothing...what is it that you want? This forest is my home and you are the trespasser, not me," she explained. She was calm, but she wasn't being welcoming.

He then sat down as well. He looked around the spring. It was so beautiful. There were pyreflies all over. The sun's rays beamed down through the trees so it was shadowy. The breeze was easily felt and heard, and the spring made the scene even more serene. "You can call me Seth..." he said after a long silence. He looked at the girl again. She wore a black robe and her brown hair was tied up. She sat there still, looking up into the clouds. "Dizzy...that's a strange name."

She looked at Seth. "Why are you here?" she asked.

"I'm lost."

"Oh. For a moment there, I thought you were a bounty hunter or a Dragon Knight," she said relieved.

Seth's blue eyes widened. He hesitated about telling her. "What do you have against Dragon Knights?" he asked.

"Nothing really...it's what they have against me."

Seth remembered about the news. Two sorceresses were discovered and they were to be killed, whether they were innocent or not. He actually wondered if this girl could be one of them. But Seth was a strong believer in justice and cleared the thought from his mind. "Are you a Magician?" he asked, curious.

"Yeah, you can say that. But all I know was that I was left here by my foster parents because the people at our village didn't want me around. I don't know why either," she explained. She really didn't seem to care about her past, but she still felt uncomfortable around Seth.

He listened to her every word. "So you've lived here all your life?"

"I guess so," she replied, still unsure. "Seth...tell me about yourself."

He looked at her curious face. "I live at a city not that far from here...the city of Hestia. I was...off on an errand and got lost in these woods."

Dizzy was very interested in his story. "How old are you?"

"I'm 16. My mother died after I was born and my father is now a...he forges weapons..." he lied. He didn't Dizzy to know at all of his Dragon Knight heritage. His father was, in reality, a Dragon Knight of a high rank. He was practically a hero. Many little boys in the city looked up to him. Seth however, never felt compassion toward anyone, let alone his own father. He was a boy of solitude. Everyone left him alone, except the one girl who followed him everywhere he went, the girl who seemingly had a crush on him.

"I see...did he make that sword for you?" she kept asking. She rested her chin onto her hands. Her elbows rested on her lap.

"No...this was given to me...by, someone..." he explained. And it was true, the sword was special. It was not a weapon given to him from just anyone. "What about you? You've heard my story, now explain yours," Seth said.

"Well, I don't know where I used to live...it was so long ago. But I'm also 16 if you were wondering. My birthday is at the end of the year, so I'm sure you're older than me. I don't fight, though there were a few bounty hunters and Dragon Knights who came looking for me. I drove them away, but I've never actually hurt anyone," she explained.

"Bounty hunters...? Can she really be...?" Seth thought to himself.

She took a good look at him. "There really isn't anything you don't know about me now."

He looked around him, trying to avoid eye contact with Dizzy.

"You said you were lost, maybe I can help you get back to Hestia," she suggested. She wasn't smiling, but she was acting nice and Seth knew it.

"No, it's all right...I don't want to burden you," he replied looking downward.

"No, really. I have nothing better to do, I can help," she said. She stood up now. "But it's not because I actually really want to. It's because, I'm not used to having strangers around here. I like it nice and quiet, without anything to disturb me," she said. She was being dead serious. Her blue eyes even narrowed.

Seth saw her desire for him to leave and agreed. "Ok, I guess so."

"Hestia is that direction, right?" she asked, pointing to the direction Seth had come in from.

"Yeah, I think. But this forest is too big for me to follow my trail back."

"Ok, I think I can find this city. I've seen some of the people travel in this direction. She started walking toward that direction. Seth still stood there, doing nothing but watching.

Dizzy stopped and looked at him. "Aren't you coming?" she asked.

He didn't know if he should trust her. But he looked at her in agreement and followed.

A/N: Ok, now you know who this character is...DIZZY!!! But my Dizzy doesn't look so much like GGX Dizzy...she has the same hair, but different colored hair and eyes, and no tail, and she dresses differently! Kay...and yeah...review please!!! And before you start jumping to any conclusions...don't start assuming who is REALLY actually who...there's a kinda twisty thing ahead...
