Tales Of The Earth's End

These are merely stories, short stories or they could be a couple chapters long, tales of after we blow up, tales of wars and legends and cultures that renew themselves, these tales tell us what we will get through, and what we will lose to. This is our first story, a tale of a demon, who saved the planet, is never remembered.

Tale One; Demons and Aliens

It was a sunny day in the desert and wastelander Joshua was having fun lying in the sun, while listening to a tune his vampire wife sung to him. Joshua was a fit man, his demonic figure giving him the perfect aerodynamic swimmer's tone, while he could easily lift 10,000 times his own weight. He had long black hair that soaked up heat like a sponge to water, always keeping him, as it was waist length. His nose was thin and angular, sticking centered to his face, in a perfect balance with his thin lips and brows, and dark blue eyes.

His wife smiled down at him, her perfect pristine smile with white fanged teeth and crimson eyes contrasting with her pale skin. It was years after the great rebirth, and now the world was all sand and open sky, no atmosphere left in the year 3002. His wife was old, very old, an ancient among people, able to tell tales about when green still held strong and before technology ever reached its nuclear and plastic stages, yet she had he body of a model and a star, long legs, graced with no air, with thin and femininely built arms. Thin graceful neck, small button nose, centered eyes slightly far apart from average, with a disproportional body, said to be popular back in the year 2000. But Joshua didn't care; she could be flat chested with no hips, it was her brain, and personality, and voice, and everything else he loved.

“Having fun baby?” she asked, stroking his bangs that hung down to his chin.

“Yes, very much.” Joshua smiled and then frowned as something began to block the sun. “WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?” he yelled as he got pissed off, something was blocking half of his enjoyment.

“That is a spaceship…” The color drained from Juliet's face, she remembered the first one…the one that landed in New Mexico when America still reigned supreme, she knew, she was a stripper in a nearby town at the time, and the one to report it, she barely got away as she was attacked by one creature. As she once recited to Joshua, she was attacked by a human like creature with a thin layer of green slime covering its skin and a long lizard tail. It jaw could unhinge and it ate her current lover at the time, biting him in half, then going for a second gulp. It had a small thatches of hair on its body placed sparingly and wore a black over suit, covering up its body. When the American fed came, the creature had been drained of its life source, and Juliet was gone, not blood ran through their veins, but just as tasty to Juliet, and it gave her the strength only bestowed upon demons.

“Like the one you saw baby?” Joshua asked bemused, after how easily he heard her dispatch one, without her demonic strength she loved.

“No…the one I saw was small…a trooper ship…only one passenger…this one is a mothership…we have to go. NOW!” She yelled at him and began to pull him after he strapped on his swords and guns.

“I take it the first one wasn't so easily dispatched was it?” he asked her, running along side her.

“No…they were fast and strong.” She murmured.

“Look, why don't we ask what they want. Just because they ate one of your human lovers who you were planning on leaving anyways, is no way to judge a race. Maybe he was hungry…and confused…crash-landing on a strange planet.” He mentioned to her, slowing down, that is until a laser landed right next to him.

“That's it.” He lifted one of his swords out of his sheath and waited until the next laser began to bore down, striking near his heart. The blade's smooth reflective surface reflect the laser straight back at the ship, giving a foul blast mark on its pristine gray and metallic surface. “Ha! How'd you like that bitch?” he shouted at the ship as it began to open up one hatch.

“Joshua! Get out of there!” Juliet screamed, holding herself as the hatch began to glow a bright green.

“Why? If this is all they got-” he stopped in mid-sentence as the beam grabbed him and everything but breathing stopped, thought, speech, digestion, everything shut off. But he looked over, and there it was, a very horrified, a very afraid Juliet.

Then it blacked out… just black.
