Ok, this is a tri-authored fic. This is based on characters in our life, so just give it a chance. You'll catch on very quickly. The authors are DarkerImage, Condayen, and dudekiller. We try to update as soon as possible, and the more you review, the sooner we update. This is where we will put replies to your wonderful reviews, but since this is the first chapter, don't expect any.

 

The Awakening Part I

10 kids are on a field trip for extra credit. They go to The T.O.W.E.R. as a place to do the extra credit assignment on. While following the guide to the master's study, the guide attracts the master's attention. The master loses his focus on the experiment he was working on, and it explodes. The master has protection, as this was expected, but the kids were not. The guide dies, and the kids were splashed, leaving them with a red mark wherever they were hit. They were all knocked unconscious. It is now one week later.

Sarah blinked into consciousness. “Wha-what happened?” Sarah said sleepily.

 

“You've been unconscious for a whole week. Your classmates were too, although you were the first to wake up.” The nurse said. “The chemicals splashed you in the palm of your right hand, when you tried to block them.”

 

~*Flashback*~

 

“Master, you have some visitors.” CRASH! A wall formed in front of the master, protecting him from the explosion. The guide was flung back from the force, and crashed against the wall onto a mace.

 

“LOOK OUT!” someone shouted. I felt someone throw me out of the way. I flung my hands up to protect my face against the chemicals. Some splashed against my right hand, and I was flung back just before I lost consciousness.

 

~*End flashback.*~

 

“OH MY GOD! ARE THEY OKAY?” Sarah shouted, recalling the incident. The nurse was frantically trying to calm her down from a distance.

 

“Miss, please calm down. You will only cause yourself more damage.” The nurse said worriedly. “And why can't I get to you?” the nurse shouted.

 

“What?” Sarah asked. The nurse seemed to be pressing against an invisible wall, trying to get to Sarah. The second Sarah thought about her getting in, she crashed to the floor.

 

“Ugh…” the nurse said. The nurse came to the bed. “I can come in now. Doctor! Please come! We can get to her now!”

 

“What happened to me?” Sarah asked.

 

“Well, after we got to the T.O.W.E.R. we found you all unconscious in random places. The master was gone by then, and we have not been able to find him since the incident. You all had red marks somewhere on your body. You had it on the palm of your right hand, Jackie had it in-between her shoulder blades, Stacy over her heart, Hannah has a mark all around her neck, Emali has the mark around both her upper arms, Henna across the shoulder blades, and Katie on the entire left side of her face. Josh had the mark on the back of his right hand-” (dudekiller: how the hell does she know their names? DarkerImage & Condayen: they have ID you idiot. dudekiller: I was just wondering jeeze)

 

~*Flashback*~

 

“LOOK OUT!” Josh shouted. Josh grabbed me by my shoulders and flung me away from the explosion.

 

~*End flashback*~

 

“That's right, Josh threw me away from the explosion…” Sarah said quietly to herself.

 

“That's right. He saved your life. You were going to take most of the damage from the explosion.” The nurse said calmly.

 

“He…he saved my life. No one has ever done something like that…ever.” Sarah said.

 

“Well, how many times have you been in life-threatening situations?” The nurse asked.

 

“About three.” Sarah said. “I'm so…hungry.” Sarah suddenly said feebly. “How come I was first to wake up?”

 

“We still don't know. But, it was quite amazing. You healed at an amazing rate. It doesn't make any sense. Someone with your amount of injuries should still be in a coma for at least another 2 weeks if they're lucky.” The nurse said in awe. “Get some rest. You need it.”

 

“Before I go back to sleep, what happened to Emily and Jake?” Sarah asked.

 

“…Well, unfortunately, they are still in a deep coma. Jake got hit straight in his forehead, and Emily got hit on the tip of her spinal cord. We do not expect either one to make it…” The nurse said remorsefully. Suddenly, someone screeched.
