Fan Fiction ❯ Tears of the Sea ❯ Chapter 1 ( Chapter 1 )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

I always loved the sea, but I never thought I would love it this much, but now that he is gone, I couldn't love him more. Jenny stood over the cliff arms stretched straight out. She leaded forward and fell toward the ragging sea below.

The white speedboat zoomed across the seas ruff waters.

Jenny sat in the front of the boat while her friend drove. The speedboat flew over the small waves lifting Jenny's body a little. The boat slowed and Jenny looked over the edge of the boat.
She lowered her left arm over the edge and let her fingertips gilde over the water's surface.
Soon Jenny lifted her arm and looked over at the dock. An arch hung over the docks entrance saying Celtic Sea Dock.
Jenny stepped onto the dock once it slowed to a stop.
“Thanks a lot John,” Jenny said walking away.
John was Celtic's official fisherman, always bringing in fish for the local market.
“Jenny Mari Alexander, stop right there,” a stern voice yelled. Jenny tensed and froze on the spot. “What do you think you were doing?” Jenny turned around to her mother.
Her mother was fairly tall with dark brown hair in a tight bun and ocean blue eyes. She seemed to be in her early 30's.
“Mom, I was just-,” but Jenny was cut off.
“You were out on the water again,” her mother said.
“But mom, it was only for a little while,”
“That's what your father said and look where he is now,” her mother's face was a little red with anger.
“But mom,”
“No buts, you have other things to do then be out on the ocean,” her mother said handing her a list.
“I can be out there if I want to mother,” she spat out the word mother as if it was an enemies name.
“I am not going to let it take you,” her mother said softly
“Whatever you don't even understand,” Jenny said cooling down and walking away from her mother who stood in shock.

Jenny held a paper bag filled with some food from the local market. She stopped and looked over a railing. The ocean crashed on the cliff below past the railing. “Hey Jen,” a voice called.
“Oh hi Tori,” Jenny said. Tori was the same age as Jenny, 16 years old. Tori had orange hair that touched her shoulders. She had a green eye that was sparked with yellow. Tori loved the color red; she wore her red tank top, with blue baggy jeans and a red ribbon choker and a red left wristband.
“Watching the waves again?” she asked.
“Ya, just daydreaming again, how is your grandmother?” Jenny asked.
“She's doing great for her age, but she is saying weird stuff again about some legend. She's been asking about you, I don't know how you can stand her talks, but you really should go visit her sometime,” Tori said.
“Ok, I'll visit her tomorrow I have to head home my mom is being strict again.” Jenny said.
“Well you should be happy you still have yours, I got to go see ya,” Tori said running off.
Jenny looked back out at the sea. I forgot she lost her mother, but at least we both have one thing we share. Our fathers are dead. Jenny walked home with a heavy heart and a mind full of memories.

Later that night the waves one the beach were calm and quiet. A small wave came and grew, but it was shaped weird. Soon the water took on a form of a human. The water was replaced with bones, blood, and flesh. The body washed up on shore. The human lifted itself up and looked up at the large cliff. A town sat on the cliffs flat surface and down the cliff a ways was a dock that touched the waters surface. It stood up and walked toward the town. The waters became hard and reckless, as if the sea itself was angry.
