Prologue
Yume…. Is that what this world needs? A dream? But what kind of dream? This world has a chance for any dream be it horror or jovial, it all depends on Yume the one who will bring the dream to our world. If she wishes the world could be destroyed, however, if she is one of hope and love, then this world will be blessed. When will she come, no one knows, but the legends tell of her coming on the full moon. Yume…. Please be our savior.

"Yume… Yume!!!! Wake up, its time for practice!" A short girl with long silver hair tossed in her bed. "Yume!!! If You're late it's not my fault!" her younger sister Ume yelled. "Hai, hai.." Yume responded "I'll be down in a minute"
Yume and her sister had lived alone for a few years now, ever since their parents had passed away in a river accident. The girls had learned of it while they were in school, and everyone in the small community mourned with them. Their parents had been role models to the town, the kindest people one could meet, however, fate had decided to take them early, and the two children were left alone now. The village had supplied a house and food for a little while, but now they both worked. Yume was the helper at the local shrine, and Ume worked at the dojo. Both were talented in their chosen fields, and both worked hard for the money they earned.
"Ume… what's for breakfast?" Yume asked the tall girl with black hair as she rubbed her eyes sleepily. "Eggs and some bacon, and I suggest you hurry and eat, or we'll both be late for practice at the dojo." Ume responded while she fixed the plates. Yume hated mornings, night time suited her better, especially when the moon was out; her sister, however, loved mornings, and was always up when the sun was just breaking the horizon.
"Ume why do you have to be so cheerful in the morning?" Yume asked sarcastically. "I'm not cheerful, I'm agitated because you can't ever get up in time for practice! We are always there right before the bell, and you know that I like to be there early." Ume said. "Alright I'm done, let's head out." Yume yelled as she grabbed her pack. After practice she had work then she had to come home and fix supper.
They both ran down the dirt path to the dojo for practice, both not wanting to be scolded by the sensei. They practiced every day to increase their ability to defend themselves. The dojo taught only defensive style fighting, so the girls were both prepared for most civil problems an both girls showed equal talent, but Ume always seemed to do better than Yume. Yume tended to day dream a lot during practice, though no one seemed to notice other than Sensei Yokiko. He always seemed to know when she wasn't paying attention, and he was always harder on her.
Thank God that it's over! Yume sighed in relief. "Well if you practiced at home too you wouldn't be so tired," Ume put in. I have other things to do! Yume said exasperated. "I'm off" Yume said as she ran off toward the Shrine. "See ya later sis!" Ume replied while waving goodbye. `I hope she doesn't cause any more trouble at the shrine today' she thought to herself while turning back to the dojo.
Yume! I was wondering when you would get here," said the old priest of the shrine, Priest Shinpo.
"Gomen-nasia Shinpo-san!" Yume bowed as she rushed into the shrine. "I was talking to Ume for a minute and lost track of the time, I'll hurry and change." She replied while running to the back room. She emerged in her Priestess outfit, which consisted of forest green pants and a white top, with her trusty broom by her side. "I'm ready for work!" she said cheerfully. "Alright, I need you to sweep the front path, arrange the charms, and I also need you to stay late tonight. I have a birthing to attend, and she is due tomorrow, please stay here tonight to guard the Temple. I will inform your sister for you, it's on the way to the house." He replied. "Hai, I'll get right to it!" `That means I can stay in the tree tonight!' she thought to herself.
`Wai Wai!! I get to sleep in the tree tonight," Yume hummed to herself as she diligently cleaned the shrine and assorted the charms. Yume loved the old shrine tree. They said every 500 years the guardian of the tree appears , no one really believed it however. But Yume was drawn to all of nature, and this tree was her favorite. It was the oldest in the entire province, and everyone went to the festival in honor of the great tree spirit that lived in it. The tree seemed to attach itself to Yume, almost like it was alive, forming an emotional bond with her, and every time that she had off she would come to the tree. She thought that it had to do with her parents, and how they had told her of how wonderful this tree was, but it seemed a little bit different now that she thought about it. `Hmmmm…. I really don't know what draws me here…. It's a little strange that this one tree calls me' she thought as she looked at the tree thoughtfully. "Ah Well, I have to finish my duties or Shinpo-sama will get on to me!" she said to herself.
Soon she was done with her tasks, and she returned to study the tree. Her Crimson eyes looking diligently at the tree, something seemed different. `I wonder what happened here?' she asked herself. `It doesn't appear to be tampered with, and I don't feel anything demonic. I wonder what it is? It actually feels like It's talking to me.' Yume slowly walked toward the tree, not noticing that night had fallen, and the moon was on the rise. Suddenly a twig snapped and she quickly turned around. "Ah it's only you Kiore." She sighed happily. Yume bent down to pick up the black cat. It always showed up at night.
`When did it become night?' Yume thought to herself. I must have been day dreaming again. Yume gazed at the moon. It was the full moon. "I love this time of the month," she said. "I wish that I could always see the moon like this." She sighed contentedly. `I could really see the moon well if I get into my favorite spot in the tree.' She thought. She gently put Kiore down and climbed up to the top of the tree where there was a bent bough in the tree. `This is my spot' she hummed to herself. She settled into her `spot' and gazed out to the moon.
It was breathtaking! There were no clouds at all, and the stars seemed to twinkle brightly all around the moon, and the moon itself seemed to be shining brighter than ever. "Come." "What was that?!" Yume cried. "COME! IT'S TIME!" "Time for what?! Who are you?" Yume yelled into the night. "I don't have time! You must come! I can't explain but you have to hurry or else.. AHHHHHHHHH…."The scream echoed over the hills in the province. Yume was terrified. "What the hell happened? I think I need to get down from here" she said shakily. As she got to the trunk of the tree, a blue light seemed to emanate from the holy tree. It engulfed Yume and she couldn't move. "WHAT THE HELL?!" she screamed. As she tried to struggle the voice kept repeating `come' "I won't come!" She yelled, as she was slowly dragged into the tree. The last thing she saw was her younger sister running towards her yelling something, and tears coming down her face. "WAIT!!" she yelled, but it was too late, Yume had already disappeared, and Ume was left at the base of the tree clawing at it yelling for her sister.

A bloody corpse was lying on the floor. "I don't think we killed her fast enough" a man's voice said. "I think she might have had time to call the Dreamer. We should have been quicker. Now we will be punished" said a cowering voice. "Who cares? The Dreamer will surely die without her help. Now help me carry this corpse to the river." the man said. "Hai, Shogun," the coward said, as the two men carried of the body of the Summoner.
