The Meeting
A large dark shadow looms in the thick, gloomy Forest of Onstrial, on a planet very far from ours called Rimaria, in the middle of a cold winter night. Its eyes glowed white enabling it to see through the darkness, for it was intensely dark because of the thick branches of the trees that blocked the pale light of the moon. Though the creature was large, it moved swiftly through the thick brush, without a sound it crept up toward a clearing.
Slowly the large beast began to see a bright light in the clearing and the beautiful, pure white Unicorn giving off the magnificent light, the Unicorn seemed remarkably still like a wonderfully carved statue. The beast stopped in its tracks at the first sight of this Unicorn. Even though it knew the beast was there, it continued to stand motionless in its spot, waiting for the beast to approach.
"Aye, Astrono, you have come, my friend," spoke the beast to the Unicorn. "I bring terrible news for you to hear and tell to that of your Kingdom and others. The moment you hear it I suggest you hurry of to Estral, the first Kingdom along your journey."
The Unicorn glanced toward the beast and responded, "Aye, I will, Dremon. What has taken you so long anyhow? I have been here for many hours awaiting your arrival."
Dremon snorted in an angry manner and strode into the light to reveal a blue Dragon and its enormous wings lay folded upon its back. The beast did not surprise Astrono, for he foresaw the coming of Dremon.
"Report, what do you know, Dremon?" Astrono asked sternly. Astrono stood motionless in the very spot for which he has been for the past three hours awaiting Dremon's arrival.
Dremon sighs and replies, "It does not look good for our world. No, not good at all. The Demon Lords' powers are returning they have escaped the Prison of Lost Hopes. Can't you feel it Astrono? We are all doomed. We must go and find someone; I've been sensing other magical activity. But it's far from here, far and faint, like you could barely sense it. We must warn everyone, before it's to late. Be quick! For haste is in need. My brother, the Evil One, must be behind the damage of most of my land. I know the Evil One will look for trouble in more and more lands. He will continue to destroy to his heart's great content; he may have already joined with the Demon Lords, for he would be very powerful in their already great army. I must go back and protect my own land before the Evil One returns and destroys more innocent lives. Or the rest of the people will perish."
Astrono stared at Dremon without the slightest sign of any kind of emotion. "Very well," he took a deep sigh of weariness and continued. "You are correct, I have sensed the Demon Lords' powers returning. But all is not hopeless, for indeed I have sensed the powers of others far from here and I believe they may help us in defeating the Evil One and the Demon Lords. Yes I believe your brother is behind all the damage in my land as well as yours and perhaps others, the power I sense are easily remembered. And which every creature of every land remembers that power. But…it is not only your brother I feel much more than just your brother's power. So that extra must be the Demon Lords, yet it is hard to understand how the Demon Lords escaped from that accursed Prison…"
"You must not worry about that right now, Astrono," answered Dremon sternly. "You must worry about others lives that are at risk. My brother is dangerous! And I can't allow others' lives be destroyed because of my brother. Farewell, I pray we meet again, my friend. You have been very helpful."
With that Astrono bowed his head turned walking at first then breaking into a run, Dremon watched as he disappeared into the dark forest moving swiftly west, slowly first then moving faster and faster. Dremon sniffed the air cautiously. He mouthed the words "Nadroms…" The earth trembled beneath Dremon's feet, five small, red-eyed, ebon black skinned demons burst from the earth. Dremon roared in dismay. Surrounded, he spread his giant wings, the color of a clear spring sky. The Sand Demons pounced, showing their wicked small, sharp teeth. They bit deep, deadly poison dripped from their mouths as they dug their teeth deeper. Dremon took flight and shook off the Nadroms though some insisted on staying on. Dremon roared and began to glow lightning protruded from his horn on his head and he was engulfed in lightning. The Nadroms quickly dove into the holes again hissing darkly.
Astrono moved swiftly dodging the trees, ignoring the small earthquake. The Unicorn amitted a bright light that lit his way as he moved with gathering speed. The darkness of the night made the forest even darker. Monsters hissed evilly as Astrono ran through the forest in haste. They hated the light, and cold glowing red eyes of angry monsters seemed to multiply around Astrono. Unafraid, he gathered speed and in a flash he was out of the large forest and was running in a large plain towards Estral. Suddenly he stopped, a roar echoed in the sky. The air was still; all was silent and eerie, soon, there was an enormous explosion from behind Astrono. He whirled around to see the forest explode with red flames.
"This is no accident," Astrono thought. He reared up and let out a call, it was loud but beautiful. Out of nowhere rain clouds gathered quickly rain flowed gently, calming the raged fires.
Astrono looked toward the forest as the fires calmed and went up in large clouds of black smoke. Something large boomed in the forest. The sound of heavy feet moving through the forest alerted him.
"Show yourself. I would like to see the Face of the Fire. Arise Fearless One!" Astrono ordered.
Slowly the heavy feet boomed toward him. A large shadow loomed, its eyes glowed an angry red. The Monster opened its enormous mouth as fire builds inside it. Quickly, a beam of fire shot from the mouth of the monster at Astrono. He stood for a moment motionless. Then quickly dodged the attempt to attack at the last minute.
Astrono's horn alighted brightly with electricity and a beam of electrical energy shot from the horn toward the monster. It let out no sound of pain, but absorbed the electrical energy with its own horn. The Monster walked into Astrono's still bright light. The light showed its large figure, it was a monstrous Dragon it was much larger than Dremon. Its wings were folded on its back, and its hard Dragon skin had an ebon black color to it, its eyes were red and a symbol of evil was in red upon its forehead just under a rather long horn. Astrono backed slowly away from the Monster as an attempt to escape and continue his journey to Estral.
"What are you doing here? Shan't you be somewhere else causing trouble, oh Evil One? I am on an errand. I shan't need your annoyance right now." Astrono glared at the Monster.
"Astrono. I feel you are not happy to see me," spoke the beast; its voice was low, evil ringing with every word. "Astrono, you break my heart. It's so lonesome living on my own, seeing my brother, now General of the Dragon Knights of Dranurt since I had to leave, is living a happy, wonderful life. I have great envy to him. Could you not be kinder to me, Astrono? Could you not feel sorrow for me, Astrono? I have not always been a beast of destruction, I shall tell you. But since I am not welcomed properly I feel awful! And you shall pay for that!"
The beast laughed an evil laugh and put his claws in front of him the palms facing each other. A fireball formed between the claws, it continued to grow until it was as large as a full-grown Golden Retriever. The Evil One laughed as he threw the fireball at Astrono. Astrono dodged easily, but the fireball came back at Astrono. Astrono opened his mouth and a beam of water shot at the fireball extinguishing it.
"I have no time for this Evil One. I must go. Farewell, I hope we shan't meet any time soon." With a flash Astrono disappeared westward. The Evil One laughed loudly and continued its destruction on the forest and it muttered with great humor "Very well Astrono, but I will meet you again, count on it." Astrono came to a desert like area where the earth was like a sea of soft sand. Looking around carefully Astrono began to cross the desert area, for in these types of areas, Nadroms are sure to be found. And indeed as soon as Astrono reached the middle of the desert area, he was attacked by a large group of Nadroms. Astrono glared at the ugly, black creatures that surrounded him. "I have no time for this!" thought Astrono.
Suddenly, magnificent, large, pure white wings burst from Astrono's shoulders. He flapped his long forgotten wings. Soon, Astrono was in the air far from the Nadroms. They hissed angrily, a few spit poisons toward Astrono in vain. The Nadroms dove under ground again following Astrono from beneath, popping their ugly black demon heads from the earth once in a while to check where Astrono was.
The Nadroms sometimes, jumped up out of the earth at Astrono then diving back underground like sharks at birds. Astrono quickly grew tired of the weary journey; he had to rest, for he still had much to go. Astrono landed upon the sandy mounds of Munrooma's Desert. Astrono's wings melted into Astrono's sides as he laid down to rest. Being quit cautious he put a force field all around him so he would be protected the rest of the night. He fell into a deep comfortable sleep quickly.
When Astrono woke up in broad daylight, at about noon, his force field was being attacked by Nadroms. The Nadroms tackled, bit, and slammed their bodies against the powerful force field in vain, trying to break its force. Astrono got up the force field still up, and let out a yell. The force field suddenly grew slightly and in a quick flash the force field burst toward the Nadroms flinging them across the dessert. Afterwards most of them dove back into the ground not to bother the Unicorn again. Others lay on the sandy mounds unconscious for the bird like creatures to most likely catch and eat as their lunch.
Astrono's wings burst from his shoulders again and he flew up. He flew west fast as ever, for haste was greatly needed before there was an attack over the Kingdom of Estral. Astrono continued to fly over the Desert in disgust as the Nadroms continued to pursue Astrono. Astrono finally flew out of the Desert and the Nadroms stopped hissing and cursing, and quickly disappeared as they dove underground. Astrono flew over many rocks and hills until he reached his destination, Estral.
