Chapter 2: Incolumitas Calor {Safety's Warmth}

Jon Awoke to find that he had just enough time to go over his plan in his head, get ready, and get there if he hurried.. When he finished with that, he got on his armor, which had been forged especially for him in Vulcan's workshop before all the gods were sealed. As with the armor of his great ancestor, it was made to look like Anubis, but this suit of armor, though modeled after it was different from the original in a number of respects.

During the forging of the Kamireametaru (Basically God Metal) Anubis had added a drop of his blood into the divine molten metal, along with a tiny portion of his power. The armor had the power of flight, as well as stealth, with a number of built in weapons that he could use if needed.

Once he had strapped on the face mask he was ready to go. The wings, made from houougyokuei (Phoenix Crystal), an element found only on Kamikakyou, the home plane of the gods that was unbreakable, yet light as a feather, and also able to disappear into its own subspace pocket, meaning they were invisible when unneeded, were about five feet long fully extended, spread wide, and he took to the air, his crystal wings flapping behind him.

He landed a few miles from the grim, dark compound that was the target of his mission. He checked his map again and started the long trek to the building.

He got there just in time. He smiled beneath his mask, knowing his foes would never know what hit them. He checked through the stash of weapons and found what he was looking for, his trusty cat claws, (Think Wolverine's claws and you have the right idea), made from the same metal as his armor and sharp enough to cut through anything, even the metal they were made from. Muttering under his breath he invoked the spell of stealth built into his armor. "I call upon the intangibility of a spirit and the silence of a tomb."

With those words, he vanished from the sight all but those who could perceive the spirit energy of others. He knew for a fact that the guards lacked this ability. He sneaked up to the gates and slipped through with the new guards, following close behind them as they went inside. Once inside, he found a private place, and checked his map. He followed Judas's directions, finding the pen he sought without too much trouble, and had only a tiny bit of trouble opening the lock, due to the fact that is was one of the most complex locks he had ever seen. Once he got the door open, he found his target, who was in the words of Lucifer "One of the few things that Christ feared".

She was a young girl, age fifteen by the looks of her. Her blood red hair, which would normally have been shining and bright, was matted and dirty, her eyes a deep black, not like normal eyes, lacking everything, just pools of deep onyx. Her skin would normally be a clean and pristine white, was grubby and bruised.

Her clothes, which looked to have once been a gown of the highest quality, now were nothing but rags and a pair of tattered wings lay flat against her back.

He walked in to th cell, his wings disappearing from sight. He bowed to her and offered her his hand to help her to her feet, but she just ignored him. Lucifer had warned him she would act like this, that she would ignore all who didn't do the proper thing to show they were a member or ally of the Doom Swords.

He leaned down and whispered something into her ear and she looked at him and smiled, taking his hand in hers, in a grip that was impossibly strong for one so young. He pulled her to her feet and looked her over. He found that she looked like no fourteen year old he had ever seen. She was fully developed, with womanly curves, which he found quite odd.

He took in his arms, cradling her with one arm under her back and the other under her knees, he invoked the spell of silence and sneaked out again. Once he was out of sight of the compound, he instantly warped to the locked gates of Hades. Though she had never had any formal training, she knew just what to do. She put her hand to the door and began to chant. As she chanted, magic circles and patterns formed around her and obsidian eyes started to glow with an inner fire. There was a sound like a massive piece of cloth tearing with an amazing amount of force and a tiny point of light formed. The magic circles that had formed around her began to come apart, going into the point of light and causing it to grow into a massive portal of light, taking the shape of a massive door.

He had done it. The only remaining Chapter of the once mighty Fallen Angel's Army was now free.
