"You come dressed as a demon lord. Well now, why don't you show us your demonic form while you're at it? That way we can see the true power of a demon lord?" the man said with a smirk as he glared at Alex. "Otherwise, there's no point in you wearing that armor."

"You know as well as I do that I cannot do that." Alex sneered. "I wouldn't show my demonic form to such insignificant worms as yourselves."

"So you refused to show us your demonic form. Why is that?" the demon said with a evil smile.

"You know why you bastard." Alex replied coldly.

"Why doesn't he show them his demonic form?" Brittany asked in a hushed whisper.

"Because child...he can't. They made sure of that. All they are doing is digging deeper wounds into the Lord's soul." Kiba answered solemnly.

"So Kane, I see you have lost total respect for the customs of the demon realm in the time you spent in your banishment." the man said in a haughty tone as he looked back at Brittany.

So Kane...that's his true demonic name! But why didn't he want me to know that? Brittany thought.

"Zanatos, you know as well as I do you can't lose what you never had." Alex said in a cold voice. "As far as the human is concerned. I brought her here as my personal guest..."

"Your personal guest! Don't make me laugh. You know bringing a human to this realm is forbidden!" another demon lord spoke. This one was a woman. She had long red hair and dazzling green eyes. Even beneath her dress her lustrous curves were evident. She had the body that would make even the strongest willed men to fall to their knees.

"You make it sound like this is the first forbidden thing I've ever done." Alex replied with a smirk.

"Why isn't he taking this seriously? Shouldn't he be trying not to make them mad?" Brittany whispered to Kiba.

"That's the general idea. But the Lord see's it differently. He's one of the demon lords and there for doesn't believe that he should be tried by those who are the same rank as him." Kiba replied quietly. "Also, he has a lot of contempt for these lords, even I do not know why."

The final lord stepped up as he addressed Alex. He was a large man with a small blonde mohawk. His muscles bulged beneath his vest and trenchcoat as he smiled evilly at Alex. "First you kill a demon lord, then you take his title, then after you were banished you disgraced your new title by bringing a human here. This is unforgivable."

"That's what you said when I killed Silva, but we see how that turned out." Alex said evilly.

"Kane, watch your tongue, or I shall rip it from your mouth." Zanatos threatened.

"First off, never call me Kane again. If you wish to call me anything, call me by my human name...or my other name." Alex replied solemnly. "I'd prefer if you called me Alex for the time being."

"How dare you. Such impudence is unforgivable." Zanatos continued.

"What's with all this unforgivable crap. As far as I'm concerned the only unforgivable act is what you bastards did to me!" Alex yelled as he started to lose his calm.

"Heh, there is some truth in your words. But remember...we can do much worse." Zanatos said as he looked at Brittany. "First, lets get rid of this human pest." Zanatos raised his arm and pointed his hand at Brittany, before he could do anything Alex grabbed his arm

"You won't lay a hand on her you bastard." Alex sneered. With a flash of movement Alex ripped Zanatos's arm off.

"Aaaah, you impudent fool!" Zanatos yelled. With his free arm he grabbed Alex by the throat and chucked him across the room. Zanatos looked back down at where his arm used to be, when suddenly his arm began to regenerate. "That hurt..."

Alex stood up as he glared daggers at Zanatos. "Next time I'll make sure it will do more than just hurt you." Alex promised.

"There won't be a next time. Magnus subdue him." Zanatos ordered. Alex turned around in time to see a man in all black robes step out of the shadows. His eyes glowed as lightning ripped forth from his fingertips.

"Aaaah!" Alex screamed as the lightning coursed through his body.

"Your emotions betray you Kane..." Zanatos said as he flexed his newly regenerated arm, putting emphasis on the name Kane. "Subdue him."
With that command several more mages appeared from out of the shadows. The all encircled Alex as he tried to stand, suddenly when he stood up quickly and tried to launch himself at Zanatos, but he couldn't move.

"Damn you!" Alex yelled as he strained to move invisible restraints.

"Your not going anywhere. We have you in one of the strongest subjugation circles in the entire realm. For a demon such as yourself it would be impossible to break free." Magnus said with a prideful sneer.

"Heh, speaking of demons...Zanatos, why don't you get him to show us his demonic form." the large demon lord said.

"That's not a bad idea Gigas." the female agreed. "Even you have to admit it would be fun to see that, Zanatos."

"If it'll make you be quiet I'll be more than glad to do it Cecilia." Zanatos said with a smirk. He shifted his gaze from Brittany back to Alex. He walked over to Alex who tried to free himself but was unable to move.

"Seeing as how you refuse to show us your demonic form, even though the council demands it of you...I will force you to show it to me." Zanatos said. He raised his right arm as it began to transform. His sleeve disappeared as his arm became entirely black. A jagged white bone jutted out from his elbow and bones appeared over each one of his knuckles as his fingers transformed into large talons. "Now I will show you the power of a true demon lord."

With a quick flash of movement Zanatos raked his taloned hand across Alex's chest, piercing his armor and cutting deep into his flesh. Alex screamed in pain as blood poured out of his wounds.

"Alex!" Brittany yelled as she stood up. She went to move towards him when he called out to her.

"No...Brittany, don't move!" Alex commanded in gasps.

"Alex..." Brittany said helplessly.

"What a pathetic sight you've become...even more so than you were before." Zanatos mused. "Maybe killing the girl will rile you up some."

"Don't you dare!" Alex roared. Zanatos only grinned brighter as he turned towards her. Instead of facing her he was instead facing Kiba, Shadow, and Holly.

"You won't lay a hand on her as long as we're here. Our Lord instructed us to keep her safe at all costs, even if we have to fight you." Kiba said viciously.
"We're already warmed up after fighting your precious pets earlier." Holly added. "As you can tell, they weren't that strong."

"So, if you want to get to the lady, you'll have to get through us." Shadow smirked even though he knew they didn't stand a chance.

"Such loyalty is undeserving for someone such as him." Zanatos said with a gesture towards Alex.

"I'd rather serve him than a treacherous bastard like you!" Kiba growled.

"So be it, death to you all." Zanatos said. With a flick of his wrist blades of energy were sent hurling towards Brittany and the wolves.

"No!" Alex yelled as he struggled against his restraints.

"What the hell?" Zanatos cursed as a red barrier was erected around the four and shielded them from his attack. Brittany, along with everyone else, looked shocked as they looked back at Alex who was smiling, despite the huge wound on his chest. "How the hell do you have enough power to do that?"

"That's my secret." Alex said hoarsely. Brittany could tell that something was wrong, his wounds should've started healing by now.

"It matters not. I will just have to destroy your shield, that shouldn't take too long. Hopefully you won't have died by then." Zanatos sneered. He turned his attention back towards Brittany and the wolves as they stood behind the barrier. Zanatos grinned as his left arm transformed to look like his right. His teeth became fangs and his head seemed to become longer, also horns erupted from his forehead. "I will kill them with one swipe!"

"My Lord!" Magnus exclaimed suddenly in a strained voice.

"What is it?" Zanatos asked in a hurried voice.

"He...he's breaking the spell." Magnus replied in disbelief. Sure enough Alex was flexing his hands as he moved his arms against his restraints. The strain was obvious on the mages faces as they tried to keep him controlled. Zanatos's eyes grew big as Alex gave out a feral growl and finally broke free of his restraints. He charged at Zanatos in a blur of motion.

"You won't hurt her! I'll kill you, you bastard!" Alex growled.

"Fool, did you forget your place that quickly." Zanatos said calmly as he regained his composure. "Yameru!"

As soon as those words left Zanatos's lips Alex fell to the ground as he clutched his shoulders and cried out in pain. His head hit the ground as he cried out.

"Maybe now you'll give proper respect to those who command you. That subjugation spell makes it to where your own demonic power is used against you. Painful...isn't it?" Zanatos asked with a smirk.

"Leave him alone you monster!" Brittany cried as tears rolled down her cheeks. Why? Why would he do this? He says he doesn't care about me, but then he does something so stupid just to protect me.

"Don't worry child, he will not be able to feel it or anything else much longer. Everyone here witnessing this knows that demons cannot use magic. Well I am going to show you that truly supreme demons can do anything." Zanatos exclaimed with an evil look on his face. He then lifted up Alex's face with one hand as he raised his right hand into the air. "Vicious Inflamous Demento." A bright light flashed from Zanatos's hand and entered Alex's open mouth. Suddenly Alex screamed in agony as he began to cough up blood and shiver in agony. There were murmurs among the crowd as the shocked demons looked at Zanatos with awe.

"Alex! What the hell did you do him?" Brittany asked as she pressed her hands against the barrier and stared at Alex who was now no longer moving.

"The curse I used is a powerful one. It enters into his bloodstream, literally turning his insides into a raging fire. Quite a sight to watch if you have the time, very painful. They say a person would rather suffer a thousand death then a death by the curse I placed on him." Zanatos said with a wide grin.

"You monster, how could anyone be so heartless?" Brittany exclaimed.

"Heh, you are of no use to me anymore child. Magnus, ensure that the girl and this...thing are disposed off. I can't tolerate him any longer." Zanatos said as he reverted to his first form. "I'll make sure to see you in hell..." With that Zanatos kneeled down beside Alex and whispered something in his ear. He stood up and clapped his hands as a large black and red Drakel landed beside him. He mounted the Drakel and took to the air, his troops leaving also. Cecilia, the Lord of the West, and Gigas, Lord of the East followed his suit and left with their troops. Alex was still withering in agony as the barrier around Brittany and the wolves dismissed. Before they could go to Alex's aid Magnus was in front of him.

"I will now end your miserable life." Magnus said as he raised his staff to Alex's forehead. Before he could speak Alex glared at him.

"Reperend silienco." Alex said as he waved his right hand in the air. Magnus clutched his throat as he gasped. The other mages soon followed him, they tried to speak but nothing came out. You bastards can't cast spells if you can't speak.
Kiba was shocked, but reacted quickly knowing they wouldn't have much time.

"Shadow, come with me, we've got to get out of here." Kiba said as he and Shadow helped to support Alex.

"What happened to them? What did Alex do?" Brittany asked as she rushed over to them and to check on Alex.

"No time for that, we've got to get him home. That damn spell that Zanatos used is a powerful one. The archmage made that curse one of the forbidden spells, that damn Magnus must've taught it to Zanatos. He is in grave danger if we don't get him home soon." Kiba warned, Brittany nodded quietly as Holly kneeled before Brittany.

"Get on, I can run faster than you and we haven't a moment to spare." Holly commanded. Brittany climbed on to Holly's back as the wolves hurried back to their lord's castle leaving the mages glaring at them evilly.

Dammit, how can a demon such as him use magic? It's impossible...when the Lord hears of this he will be furious. Magnus thought.

The Lord does not need to know of this...not yet. Another voice said in Magnus's head.

But...Alcadon...why, surely you don't intend to betray our Lord do you? Magnus thought.

No, but this matter needs to be looked into more before we report it. Come back to the temple where we shall discuss this farther. Alcadon responded.

Magnus turned away as he motioned for the other mages to follow him as they too left the arena.
