Chapter 25: Mimi Tears

Keith laid on top of his bed, his hair fanned out around him, his foggy blue eyes half closed in a drenched laziness. The darkness

that surrounded him, seemed to be drawn to his person, as he laid unmoving, not even blinking.

`…..Ryan….Why do you fight against this cause? You of all people should join Saiyoua…is their something you see that I no longer can?'

"Keith."

The dark haired boy turned and smiled at Taromecika in a creepy fashion.

"Hello father, what brings you to speak with me?"

"Keith, have you been searching threw the computer database, I've seen hints of some of the files broken into." Taromecika's tone was worried and harsh.

"Why no father. What use would I have to do that? I already know about…"

"Yes, well." Taromecika cut him off. "Even so, I forbid you from looking at the database."

"Sure…"

Taromecika left the room, leaving a confused Keith behind.

`What's so important about that database, that I can not see? Could they be something in it, about me?'

` Don't go get weak now, what is there you don't know about yourself?'

` Nothing, I know everything about myself…I'm son of Saiyoua and Taromecika.'

` Are you?'

Keith's eye's flashed with rage, smashing his head with his fists an insane fit of anger to voice out of his head.

"SHUT UP!!!!! I'M ME, OK!?!? SO…LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE!!!!"

` Fine, but either way, it is you that is saying it…'

"Hikari. Tell me what I need to know!" Laura demanded, Rex by her side.

She received a glare from the demon woman, before Hikari closed her eyes and used her sensing powers.

" Ryan and his friends are at the fairy forest…I'm sensing a 98% that their friend Mimi has a crystal." Hikari paused, smirking. "The Fairy Forest…What a way to prove yourselves since you both love animals and plants so much, so are you going to destroy it?"

"Yes. We will do anything to help Saiyoua, now…Rex, come on, we must plan!"

The two of them left the room, leaving Hikari to roll her eyes.

"I sense failure all ready…Laura analyzes way to much and Rex is as stupid as a cockroach, not to mention he can't even speak…Well at least they are very destructive…we will get lots of Magention. "

"I can't believe it!" Mimi beamed happily. "I'm finally home!!"

"Wow, this forest is so huge, and so green." Carrie said in awe.

Lima smiled, eyes shining. "It reminds me so much of the elfin village…wow, I love nature like this sooo much!"

" It's a very beautiful place Mimi." Genki complimented.

"Thanks, wait until you see the village!" Mimi smiled from ear to ear before dashing into the large forest, the group following after her.

"I've never seen Mimi so enthusiast, before." Mara commented to Ryan.

"Well, it must be a good feeling to go home."

As soon as the group arrived in the heart of the woods, they were greeted by many fairies, who all stopped in their work to look at them. They were all so small!! The tallest around were the heights of four, five years olds. Heck, Mimi look like a giant

compared to the rest of them. But…at least the houses were big…they looked like giant mushrooms, but they were big.

"MIMI!!!" Three children exclaimed as they spotted the young fairy girl.

"Welcome back!"

"It's been so long!"

"We missed you!"

different voices cheered out as three fairy children ran up to her, giving her big hugs.

"Didi, Lili, Nini!" Mimi exclaimed, kneeling down to give the three girls hugs.

The group stared at these children in amazement. The one Mimi had referred to as Didi was wearing a puffy yellow dress,

black gloves and boots, she had blond hair and big yellow eyes. Lili was wearing the same dress as Didi, except it was blue

with orange boots and gloves. She had blue hair and eyes, while the last one Nini, was wearing the same dress but red with

purple boots and gloves, and had Red hair and eyes. They were all very tiny, reaching Mimi only to her hips. Each of their

wings were a shade of the color of their dresses, and really resembled Mimi a lot.

Mimi turned to her friends, smiling. " Everyone, these are my little sisters, Didi, Lili, and Nini. They are triplets so they all are only five years old."

The group said hello to the children who backed off shyly.

"Hey, Mimi, your sisters are so adorable, your dresses sort of match." Genki pointed out causing Mimi to blush.

"Thanks Genki…Come everyone, I'll show you my house, it's the one right over their with the pink roof."

The group began to fallowed her, all staring at the beautiful scenery. Mimi turned to Genki with a smile.

"Hey Genki, perhaps you can show the people in the village your capsules, they will really love to see it!"

Genki blushed. "O…Oh, oh yes! Of course!"

"………..?"

Laura sighed, looking away from her silent companion.

"Yes Rex, we do have to destroy this beautiful place…After all, it is what Saiyoua wishes, anyway if we don't destroy it, someone else will eventually. At least now we might be able to get a piece of that goddess stone."

" The town will be having a ceremony tomorrow night. We will attack then, when they are defenseless.

When they saw Mimi's mother, they pretty much saw what they were expecting. A little woman around the height of an six year

old, short orange hair and big red eyes, pink tinted wings and a blue dress. But when they saw Mimi's human father, they almost fell on their butts in shock. He was a huge man! Not huge as in fat, but big! Lima, who was the tallest member of their

group only reached him to the waist, not to mention his arms were thicker and bigger then tree trunks. He had bushy black eye brows and a short messy beard. His blue eyes sparkled when he laid eyes on his daughter and took her into a

big hug. The group supposed he was a good man but…if you compared him and his wife together…it would make him out to

be a….well, a pervert since his wife, still looked like a little kid…and how they...well...how they had sex was a mystery to them all.

"…Hello, welcome, you must be friends of our daughter, please have some tea." The mother smiled politely. " My name is Fifi, it is nice to meet you."

The father grinned, shaking the hands of random group members.

"My name is Roundy, the protector of this village against any war. After all, my sword skills are unmatched!"

The group watched in boredom as Roundy continued to brag about his skills.

"Mimi does not act like her father at all does she?" Carrie whispered quietly to Genki who nodded slowly.

"…Thankfully…"

Fifi who had overheard the two smiled.

"Roundy use to be quite a demon-slayer in his days."

"Yeah, but now he's just a garbage heap when compared to Tama." Mimi's three sisters said together, while Roundy's face flashed with disappointment.

Roundy's Thoughts

Tama, a tall, handsome, teenage boy with shoulder-length curly brown hair and burning blue eyes. Beautiful, half-dressed girls

with huddled together, who were squealing in awe and fainting, stood around him, with hearts in their eyes, while he sat in the

dark in a trash heap with a sign around his neck that read

`No trash burning, Tuesdays and Sundays…'

"Yeah, he's sooo cute!!" Nini squealed holding a magazine in her hands with the picture of `The Great Tama' on the cover.

Her sisters, minus Mimi who shook her head, began to drool over the image of the boy on paper.

Jealously Roundy grabbed the magazine from his daughters hands, looking disgustedly at the picture of the boy on cover, before blowing his nose on it.

"ARGH!!! NOOOOO!!! NOW SLIME WILL GROW ON HIM!!!!" The three fan girls moaned, tears shining in their eyes.

"You don't need him! I'm here, I'm the famous demon-slayer! Able to sense demons from a mile away! I NEVER LOOSE A BATTLE!! MAWHAHAHAHA!!!"

"Daddy, then why aren't you slaying the demon right over there?" Lili asked innocently, pointing to Ryan who blanched, eyes growing wide.

"Demon!? WHERE!? Where is the fiend!!?!?"

Spotting Ryan, the man drew his HUGE sword. Ryan leapt out of his chair so surprised and panicked, his hair was sticking up

more them usual and his big blue eyes had turned into two small little dots.

"PREPARE TO SAY GOODBYE, DEMON!!! MAWHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

"WAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"

The group stared in surprise as Ryan ran out of the house while Roundy chased after him with the sword as they ran back and

forth threw the village. Contrary to the fact their friend was being chased by an insane man with a sword bigger and wider then what was humanly possible, the image before their eyes was quite comical.

"….Author trouble, again?"

"Yeah she's lost it again." Lemon answered Squall as he shook his head.

"We got to stop that weak crazy onna …next thing you know, she'll have me wearing bikini or something." Alex commented meanly. "She akready turned as into girls for two chapters..."

Suddenly the sky turns dark and lightning splits the sky.

"YOU CALL ME CRAZY!?"

The voice boomed around them.

"PREPARE TO FACE MY WRATH!!!!!"

POOF!

The whole group gasped and began to point and laugh. The sky cleared up and everything returned back to the way they

where except, Alex was wearing a VERY tight fitting bikini.

"INJUSTICE!!!!!!!!!!!"

Mimi sighed putting an hand to her head. "Cut to the next sean…."

A handsome teenage boy stood outside the village, the sun in his beautiful curly brown hair and blazing blue eyes.

"Ah! A new area to test my skills, and….claim another girl for my harem!! So far, I have taken a girl in every village, on occasion sometimes more, Now I Tama Tahomie will claim one, hear!"

PLAYBOY…GIRLS, BEWARE!!

Tama, looks over his head at the huge sign that had suddenly appeared over his person.

"….Hey….just how did that appear hear….I swear the author has such mysterious powers…."

The group sat around the table drinking some tea. It was night time, and the air was cool and relaxing. Mara babied Ryan, licking the wounds on his arms, legs, and face, not in a passionate way, but in a motherly way, since cat people had medicine in their saliva that could heal small cuts.

"Sorry, my boy for roughing you up so much, but when I see a demon, I just get excited."

"…..*Sniff* No kidding…."

"Dad, I don't believe you at times, attacking poor Ryan like that." Mimi frowned.

The man laughed nervously. " Sorry, Mimi, I can't help it though."

"So, Mimi, how is it going at the magic school? I really wish you would have told us before going there, but, well, I guess every

teenage daughter runs away from home to do their own thing." Fifi sighed, her voice slightly angry.

The group looked at Mimi surprised, she never looked like the type that would run away.

"I'm sorry mother, but I wanted to, you know, live my own life, hear in the fairy-forest…Ugh…you wanted me to marry that…Rubius…" Mimi sounded almost sick.

Genki frowned jealously, biting his lip to keep from saying anything.

"Mimi." Her mother said in a scolding tone. " Your not mean to anyone else, so why do you treat Rubius so rotten? He's a

PERFECT match for you, besides, he is very good looking! AND" She added pointedly. "RICH."

" Perfect Match…..stupid Rubius….she mine….not his…." Genki mumbled underneath his breath. Unknowing heard by

Mimi's little sisters who put their hands to their mouths, giggling.

"Mama! Your making Mimi's * Boyfriend* jealous!!" The triplets exclaimed together.

Genki and Mimi instantly began to burn with embarrassment.

"OH!?" Fifi exclaimed, gazing at Genki with wide eyes. " This guy….?"

"Well, Well, Well! I'm for one glad Fifi, that Rubius is such a pansy-man, this kid actually has muscle to him!" Roundy exclaimed, slapping Genki on the back, almost causing him to fall off the chair.

"But me and Rubius's mother made a deal that our children would marry!" Fifi exclaimed defensively.

"Well, if you ask me, she should marry someone who can take care of her!"

"But Rubius knows about---!!"

"ENOUGH!!!"

The group looked over at Mimi shocked.

"Can you please stop deciding my future for me! It's my life, not yours, why is it you think I left for the magic school in the first place, to get away from you and all that stupid match-making!!"

The group watched in disbelief as Mimi stormed out of the room.

"…..Mimi….!!" Genki called.

"Don't worry, she always gets mad like this when we talk about such things." Fifi smiled sadly, before turning to the rest of her children and sending them off to bed.

Mimi stopped, setting in front of the lake, tears glowing in her eyes.

" I made a fool of myself…right in front of Genki….everybody…."

Sighing she summoned her magical bells in her hands, and gazed down at them, remembering Link. Smiling softly she rang the

bell, slowly sliver mist surrounded the area and Link appeared, standing in the water, gazing at her threw it's dark brown eyes.

"Mimi…It's been a long time." The winged horse spoke gently.

"Yeah…it's been to long, I missed you."

"Mimi, you have been crying again?"

Blushing, she lowered her eyes to the ground. "Yeah…."

"What's wrong?"

"Well…You see, my parents, they are trying to force me to marry. They always do that, that is why I left for the magic school, I wanted to live my life out, my own way, besides, I don't like it when people know that I'm going to die of cancer in a few

years…I don't like the pity in their voices, but at school, no one knew, so I did not get the pity. I liked it that way…"

"You told Carrie."

"You heard me? Yeah, that's right…I adopted her in the last village, no one but us knows it yet though…. I did it because she is a sweet kid, and I'll never have any of my own."

The horse smiled. " Mimi, I sense that your in love with someone, that fighter, right?"

"Link!!" Mimi blushed. "I….I don't…"

"Mimi, I live in your dreams, I know what feel. He loves you too, you know that. So what's stopping you?"

"Oh, Link, I'm just going to die on him…I don't want to put him threw the pain of seeing me die…I feel that if we get together I'll end up ruining his life. If he knew..."

"Mimi, don't be alone, your still young."

"Thanks, Link…my good friend…You always comfort me…but I know that, I could never tell Genki how I feel….*MAYBE* if he were to bring it up first, but I can't myself…"

"I understand. Let your heart guide you."

The rest of the group had headed up the steps for bed, Mimi's parents had enough room in their house and were kind enough

to let them stay the night. However halfway up the stairs they stopped Genki, telling him to set down at the table.

"What is it?" Genki asked confused.

Mimi's parents sighed.

"Genki, do you love our daughter, are you too going out?" Fifi asked.

"Better NOT have TOUCHED her…." Roundy warned, gripping his sword.

Genki frantically waved his arms in a `no' gesture. " I'm a virgin!! I didn't!! Put your sword down!!"

"So are you two, in love?" Fifi asked again, giving her husband a sharp glare causing him to sheepishly lower his sword.

Genki frowned. " Well, this is kind of embarrassing to admit to a girls *parents* I am in love with your daughter…but I don't know how she feels about me…"

Looking away from the surprised expression of the adults faces, he blushed.

"It's a crush I'm to afraid to tell her about…."

"Oh, ok, I understand." Fifi nodded.

"Hey, boy, did she tell you?" Roundy asked, concerned.

"Tell me?"

The parents exchanged sad expressions.

"Genki, lesson, …we don't want to admit it, but she's really not well…she's…well…" Fifi, wiped at her eyes, tears began to well up in them.

" Boy, Mimi was born with a cancer, she has around six, seven years left…we want her to marry so she could have someone

to love her before she…passes on…but she refuses because…she does not want to hurt that person when she dies…she can't have children either… We understand if you don't love our daughter anymore, most boys wants children, and a wife that will live a long time." Roundy explained, putting a comforting hand on the boys shoulder.

Genki could feel so much emotions bubbling up inside of him, and for the first time, for a long time began to sob loudly, tears streaming down his cheeks. He did not say a word, and Mimi's parents did not try and force him either.

"Genki?" Carrie asked as she came down the stairs.

The people in the room looked over at the little girl surprised.

" Carrie, it's nothing…go back to bed." Genki said quickly, looking away from her.

"Mimi already told me…" Carrie looked away, shuffling her foot.

"Why? You two must be very close…" Fifi trailed off.

"When…did she tell you?" Roundy questioned.

Looking away even more, she mumbled. " She told me before…she adopted me…."

Genki, and Mimi's parents gasped shocked.

"SHE DID WHAT!?" Roundy exclaimed, surprised. Not so much angry, just shocked.

"….I guess, your our granddaughter then? Huh…I wish she told us…" Fifi trailed off, a baffled look on her face.

Genki smiled sadly, face covered by his bangs.

" We…We would be a perfect family….Mimi, Carrie and I…."

The people in the room turned towards him surprised.

" You said that most boys want children of their own, and a wife who will live along time…but I just want someone I love…Every moment with Mimi, I hold dear to my heart…I don't care if she can't have kids, or if she has cancer, I just want

to be with her…as much as I can…but, I'm to afraid to tell her this, so don't tell her what I just said…Oh god, I'm such a wuss...."

Mimi's parents smiled.

"You know, Rubius is not looking like the perfect guy for Mimi anymore…" Fifi commented.

"Hey boy, tomorrow night is the fairy festival. Mimi was chosen to be the ` fairy princess' this year. That means she will have to

sing, and then she will have to choose a boy to be her ` Prince.' If she chooses you then…that means she must like you!"

Roundy exclaimed.

"Shhhh!!" Fifi hissed. " You'll wake everyone up!"

"….Sorry."

" Genki?" Carrie asked, a small little smile on her face. " I liked the idea of us all being a family, do you think it will happen?"

"….I hope so…"

"Mimi, you're the `fairy princess' of the festival this year, you've been voted for it every year until you came back." Link informed her.

Turning red in the face, she whimpered. " I have to sing and dance in front of everyone??"

"AND…choose you `prince.' You have two choices so far, Rubius, and the fighter…Genki, right?"

"Link!!"

The horse laughed.

"It's not funny…."

"Sorry Mimi, why don't you practice your singing, and dancing? The festival starts tomorrow night."

Mimi smiled. "Yeah, your right. Don't laugh at me…"

"I promise, I wont."

Tama groaned pushing bushes away from his face.

"I can't believe I got lost in the woods!"

Suddenly threw the tress he could hear a soft melody and closed his eyes lessening to the beauty of the soft voice singing. The song had no words, but it seemed to be the song of the forest it's self.

"I have to find the girl that is singing!"

He ran threw the tress, and bushes, desperately, not caring how far he ended up in the forest, he just needed to see…who…

He reached a clearing as he pushed some tress away, and gasped in awe, almost skinning to his knees. Before him a sight of

pure beauty, an image an artist would receive millions of gold for if he could manage to paint even a fraction of the sheer

beauty. A fairy, taller and more shapely then the usual one was standing, ankle deep in crystal clear water, the moon shining

down on the lake, causing her to look as if she was glowing. A little to her side stood a winged white horse the brought fantasy

to the beautiful image before his eyes. The girl was twirling softly, her body moving as graceful as a swan. He knew that Venus

would have been jealous if she were to lay eyes on this magnificent creature.

He walked forward towards the girl, who stopped singing and turned towards him startled as he got a few steps towards her.

"Who are you?" She asked, sounding a little frightened. "Your not one of Taromecika's followers, are you!?"

"No…Miss, I'm Tama Tahomie! The famous Demon killer!"

"Oh, I heard of you…"

"Ah! A fan!" Tama boosted proudly.

"…Ehh…actually, my sisters are fans…"

"How old?"

"Five…"

"Damn…"

"Mimi, I'll fly you back home, I don't trust this guy…" Link whispered to her.

"Hey now!" Tama overheard. "I'm a trustful guy! My lady, I heard you singing, never before have I heard such beauty, I wish only to know this beautiful maidens name."

"….It's Mimi…Mimi Sakura…"

"Mimi, please, let me walk you home! PLEASE!!"

"I'm sorry, but…"

` Damn…she's not easy to droop…she seems like the nice type…that can work in my favor…'

"All right miss…I understand!! Goodbye!" He said dramatically turning his back. Suddenly clutching his chest he cried out and fell to his knees. Worried Mimi ran to his side.

"Hey, are you ok?"

`I got her…' " Oh! I'm so sorry!! That happens a lot…you see I have a bad illness, I have only six months to live…"

Mimi's face flashed with horror, and her eyes widened and began to tear, her hands gripped her cheeks, as she trembled.

`Six months!? Oh, how terrible!…..I know the pain…but I've got six years…this poor guy has only six months!!'

" I'm sorry, I didn't mean to trouble you with my problems, but sometimes I just need someone to lesson."

"I understand…"

"I just think it's tragic to die never knowing love! Don't you agree?"

"…..Um…..Yes….It is…"

"That is why I want a favor from you."

"From me? What can I do?"

` She's playing this part like a puppet…Mimi…your kindness will someday end up kicking you in the butt….' Link shook his head.

" Will you go out with me?"

"WHAT!?"

"It's all right if you say no…but…If you do…the little time I have remaining will be filled with sorrow, longing and embarrassment! Not to mention, total humiliation!"

"Well….I….I got to think about it…"

"Can I walk you home."

"Hmmm….all right." Mimi swallowed nervously, looking towards Link, who nodded and returned inside of the bells.

"You don't know how happy you made me!" Tama exclaimed as they walked out of the forest. ` SCORE!!!'

Rubius was setting near his window grumbling. Rubius was a very well built guy for a fairy, he had red hair, orange eyes, and

red and white clothing. He was the dream guy of every girl in the village, and toyed with them often. The only girl he couldn't attract was the only girl he wanted though, Mimi Sakura…

` I heard she came back and she did not even come to see me? I mean the fairy festival is tomorrow night, and she's the

princess, shouldn't she come and ask me to be her prince…I don't get it. Why does she refuse me!? I mean, every other girl in

the village is madly in love with me…I mean----wait a bloody moment!!'

Rubius growled as he watched Mimi walk to her house, Tama by her side. She saw them talk, and Tama lean over for a kiss,

which Mimi did not give, but instead, to her dismay end up receiving one from Tama on the cheek.

`Looks like I have competition, well I WILL NOT FAIL!! I ALWAYS GET THE GIRL!!!!!! NO GIRL YET HAS BEEN ABLE TO REFUSE ME!! I'M THE DREAM OF EVERY FEMALE ON THE PLANET!! MAWHAHAHAHA!!!!!!'

PLAY BOY NO.2!!!!!!!

Rubius frowned looking up at the large sign above his head.

" I swear, this author should keep out of her stories, doesn't she know that authors who include themselves in their own writing are always very untalented and stupid."

Suddenly the huge sign falls and crushes Rubius underneath it. Don't worry he does not die…YET!!

Rubius gulps in terror. ` I thought their was a law against her writing when she just had sugar…'

Only Fifi and Roundy were left awake, both had saw Tama and Mimi threw the window. Fifi was indifferent as usual, but Roundy was enraged.

"THAT BASTARDS TAKING MY DAUGHTERS AWAY!!!!!!"

Mimi walks threw the door.

"Hi honey!" Roundy smiles cheerfully. "Where were you?"

"Oh…um…just down by the lake."

"Not with anyone I hope." Roundy's voice cracked, slightly.

"Of course not!" Mimi exclaimed nervously. "Um…goodnight, love you mom, love you dad!"

Giving her parents quick pecks on the cheeks she ran upstairs to her room.

"…Well, if she likes Tama…." Fifi hunched her shoulders. "He is a famous Demon-slayer, and quite popular with the ladies….Roundy?" She turns towards her husband who had a voodoo doll of Tama in his hands and was hammering a nail in it

chanting.

"Die Tama, death to Tama."

Suddenly the area goes black and girl with short brown hair and blue eyes appears in the center of the SOTG world.

"People." She spoke seriously. " Voodoo dolls are not toys to be played with, they are very serious magical items. What is a

voodoo doll you ask? Well it's a doll of a person you want to get revenge apon. You can get revenge on a person for any

reason, as long as they did you wrong…even if they didn't. Anyway, people in Africa first started to use these dolls to show the

sprits what person they wished to harm, and how they wanted to harm them. Voodoo dolls came to other parts of the world as

they took blacks from Africa and turned them into slaves, witch I might add was very disgusting of the whites back then! I could go into my feelings against slavery but that will take up 30 pages, so I'll just keep to this. To understand Voodoo dolls

you must first understand what voodoo is! So I shall explain to you foolish people out there who do not already know. Voodoo combines various African tribal beliefs with Anglo religions such as Catholicism. In other words, it is a religion born of the

African slave trade. African slaves were not only imported into the United States, but also into other countries, in particular to the

west Indies where the French and Spanish ran plantation islands. Prior to 1803, New Orleans was owned by France. The

French Creole had Many African slaves, but they did not permit their slaves to gather, giving no chance for Voodoo to breed in New Orleans natively. The Creole also knew enough about the ` corrupted pagan practices' of the west Indies slaves to ban slave importing from that region. After the Louisiana Purchase, American legislators relaxed regulations; allowing slaves to

gather. They also removed the ban on west Indies slaves. That coincided nicely with the Haitian slave revolt and west Indies slaves began pouring into New Orleans. Some of them were free people of color, freed or escaped slaves. Some were slaves

still, brought by white man fleeing the revolt. Voodoo started in New Orleans because, naturally, they brought their beliefs with them. The native slaves were more than enthusiastic about adopting their new brothers' religion. It gave them power. They met

in Bayou St. John and on the banks of Lake Pontchartrain. The early Voodoos were heavily into snake worship. They worshipped one they called the Great Zombi, a snake god. By 1817 the Voodoo activities were beginning to cause fear among

the white slave owners. An ordinance was passed that forbade slave gatherings except in designated times. Mostly it was

Congo Square on Sundays afternoons. The slaves and free people of color gathered to dance simulations of their Voodoo

dances right in front of Creole society. As you may imagine, the Creoles were offended by the sexuality of the dancing, and

they turned up in droves for the privilege of being scandalized. This was entertaining enough for the early Voodoos, but many of

them also managed to meet in private for the real thing. There were a variety of Voodoo Kings and Queens in those days, but

eventually a single power emerged. That was a Voodoo Queen named Marie Laveau. There were actually two Marie Laveaus,

mother and daughter. Most people though they were the same woman. Her `continued youth' added to the mystique. The

original, the mother, was also known as the Widow Paris. It was she who started the empire. By 1830, Laveau was Voodoo

Queen of all New Orleans. She began as a hairdresser for rich Creole ladies. She also paid household servants to spy for her.

Between these two sources of gossip, she knew everything about everyone. She was not above using her information to appear

psychic or even to blackmail. She kept a pet snake, danced with it, too. She held traditional Voodoo ceremonies out by the

lake. She took her worship seriously, but she didn't mind selling tickets to curiosity seekers either. Today that is called `entrepreneurial genius.' Unless you happen to be a poor black. Then it's called `Fraudulence'. It was Marie Laveau who

defined the Voodoo that is truly and uniquely the Voodoo of New Orleans. She invented hundreds of spells, charms, and

potions, what we call gris . They form the basis of the modern practice. The Laveau tomb is in St. Louis Cemetery #1. It is a

popular shrine for practitioners, and tourists get a `thrill' going there. Voodoo has returned to its more serious religious form

lately. It has strong following in New Orleans these days. In fact, it is growing quite rapidly. There are several temples in the city

and all across the United States. Voodoo dolls, even though that is what started this whole lecture, has nothing to do with the

modern religion. The voodoo religion has magic and mystery, yet it contains traditional Catholic themes. For

African-Americans, it is a religion of their own heritage. Whites are attracted to it because it is exotic. It is not at all surprising

Mimi laid down on her bed, staring up the ceiling. Her friends were in the guest rooms, so she had her room all to herself. It

felt very lonely. She was so use to hear the snores of her companions around her, that the room seemed too empty and quite without it. Slowly she felt her mind drifting back to Tama, she really did not know what to do…he was going to die…but, she really did not want to be his girlfriend, she could not stay in the fairy village, and she really did not want to bring Tama with her and her friends on the journey. But….he was going to die, die without being loved…she knew how it must feel, all his hope

was put on her and if she rejected him she would cause all of his hope to die. Not only that, but being back home made her feel

guilty for running away, but it could not be helped…she wanted…no…needed her own life, away from being reminded of…the truth. She also felt guilty for not telling anyone about how she adopted Carrie yet…she sort of had a daughter now, and no one

even knew. Her thoughts trailed to Genki and she sighed, pulling her sheets up to her nose as suddenly she shivered. Was she

really in love with him? She did have a funny feeling whenever she was around him but….she couldn't….she couldn't be with him, she would only cause him pain.

There was a knock on her door, and startled she rolled over on her side, watching as the door opened and Carrie stepped into

the room.

"Carrie, what's wrong?"

"…Hmmm, Nothing, I just couldn't sleep."

The room was filled with a uneasy silence, before Carrie spoke up again.

"Mimi, can I sleep hear tonight? I'm so use to being around you when I sleep, besides Lima snores too loudly."

Mimi smiled. "Sure Carrie, rest you head."

The fairy half moved to make room on the fluffy pink bed for the young girl who cuddled up next to her.

"Thanks…Mommy…"

"Carrie…" Mimi look touched by the young girls words, and slowly both drifted off asleep.

`Ryan!!'

The demon-half rolled over in the bed with a moan, sweat pouring down his face.

"RYAN!!"

He could not see anything, the only thing around him was darkness, it choked him as he searched threw it. It was so horrible,

he could not even breath.

"RYAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The scream was agonizing this time and he recognized the voice, it belonged to Ruto. Slowly an image appeared before his

eyes. Ruto was running towards him, her face twisted into a look of fear and horror. He tried to run towards her but his feet

was frozen to the ground.

"…..!!" he tried to call out to her but nothing came out of his mouth.

She continued to run, as if something horrible was chasing her. Tears of terror were filling her eyes, as she desperately tried to

reach him. He then saw it, they was someone behind her. And whoever it was, was gaining on her, and she did not even seem

to notice that the figure was almost right behind her as she continued to run blinded by her own terror.

"…..!!!!!" he screamed again, wanting to warn her, wanting to get to her side and protect her.

Ruto screamed in a mute tone, extending her hand towards him, in a desperate plea for him to take her away from danger, but

she was still far from his reach.

"……..!!!!!!!!!!!!" He cried as the figure chasing Ruto grabbed her, and for the first time he got a good look at it, it was

himself. Or rather, a more demon version of himself, the same version of himself that had attacked his friends before. This

version grinned at him, and removed `their' sword from it's hilt. The sword was glowing a soft purple. Ryan's eye widened as

he realized what was going to happen next. Reaching out his hand in a pitiful attempt to reach Ruto he screamed as his other

self impaled the terrified girl threw the chest. Her scream had been mute but her could still hear the agony in it echo all around

him, tears shone in her eyes, as blood began to trickle from the wound and then slowly her body turned to feathers and blew

away in the darkness.

FLASH

He was standing by a lake, a silhouette of a figure stood by the waters edge, staring into the pool. As he approached closer, he

saw that it was himself. Not a demon version of himself, but himself as he was now. His other self seemed to sense him and

turned towards him with a dead expression.

"Who are you!?" Ryan demanded his double.

The double stared at him as if he did not understand for a moment, before suddenly turning his head away to stare back at the

water. Ryan was about to demand his question be answered, when suddenly the sound of ripping clothe startled him and he

stared at himself in amazement. To large angel wings had spread from his back, but for some reason, his wings were pitch

black.

"WHO ARE YOU!? ANSWER ME!!" Ryan exclaimed grabbing the figures shoulder to force the other to look at him.

The winged version of himself stared silently at him for a moment, not even blinking, before looking away, eyes dull, but also

wet…the eyes were wet, But the figure was not crying. Standing confused Ryan watched as his winged counter part pointed

towards the water. Following his gaze Ryan gasped. Within the water he saw his reflection, but it was not his own, that

reflection he saw as his own was the demon version of himself.

Ryan woke with a startled scream, jolting up in the bed, throwing Mara who had been the one leaning over him to shake him

awake back onto the floor in startled. He breathed heavy for a few moments trying to get himself to calm down, sweat falling from his face.

"Rya!? Are you all right!?" Mara exclaimed worriedly, staring into his face in concern.

"Y…Yeah, I guess so…"

Mara frowned, still looking worried. " Did you have a nightmare? I bet it was about Ruto, Huh?"

"……Yeah…."

The cat girl sighed. " Your not going to save her worrying yourself sick. Try and relax. If we can get the goddess stone, we can

get Ruto back to life, as long as her body ain't harmed, and you can be as sure as hell, Taromecika wont harm her, and she doesn't looking like the suicide type to me."

"Your right about Ruto's body never dying, but I'm afraid that by the time we get their, her soul, might to far lost in Saiyoua's darkness to ever be revived."

"Whatever!" Mara grumbled. " What will WORRYING about it do? Come on!! Everyone else is already up! Let's go get something to eat!! I smell FISH cooking down there!!!"

"….Mmmmm, all right…" The demon half sighed, running a hand threw his hair as he watched the cat girl bounce happily out of the room. Something fell in front of his face, startling him, it seemed to have been stuck in his hair. Peering down at the thin

sheet that covered him, his eyes widened. Laying on top of the egg white sheet, rested a single, large, black feather.

The group ate their breakfast quietly. It was peaceful and cozy with everyone, including Mimi's family all setting and munching

on food that rested on the table. Mimi could not help but frown at Genki whom she often found staring at her from across the

table. Each time he noticed she was looking, he would blush and pretend to be absorbed with what was on his plate.

`….How odd…'

"Hey, Mimi?" Carrie asked, looking at the fairy threw her chocolate brown eyes.

"Yes?"

The Fernandez made a sign with her eyes that said ` maybe you should tell them.'

Blushing Mimi put a hand to her mouth, remembering, she absolutely forgot to tell her parents she had adopted a child! Forget

her parents, she did not even tell the group yet!!

"Um…Mom, Dad?"

"Yes honey?" Fifi asked, calmly sipping her tea.

" I think I should tell you something…"

Mimi blushed, and began to fumble around nervously as she felt everyone's eyes turn to her.

"Um…I kind of, adopted a child, on my journey…."

Everyone except for Carrie, Genki, and Mimi's parents who had already heard the story last night without Mimi even knowing,

gasped in shock.

Mimi frowned puzzled by the lack of shock on her parents faces, and on Genki's…well, at least her sisters was taking it the

way she was expecting them to. She was not sure if that was a good thing or not…but in a matter of seconds they were squealing out questions a mild a minuet.

"Well….Where is the child? I don't see it, anywhere…" Lima blinked puzzled, looking around herself.

"…um…um…It's….Me?" Carrie stuttered nervously.

The group looked slightly more surprised by this, but was more calm then they had been before. Mimi's sisters however were more excited then before and were instantly poking at the young Fernandez, asking her questions, a mile a minuet. Thankfully the chaos was interrupted by a knock on the door.

"I'll get it." Mimi offered polity, pushing her chair in as she stood up.

"Hmmm…Well, that was an unexpected occurrence, who would have thought that Carrie and Mimi would become mother and daughter…." Lemon shrugged.

"I think it's cute!!" Mara squealed. " I would like a daughter someday to, ehhh Ryan? Opps, sorry, forgot, your heart belongs to Ruto."

"Mara…."

"It's ok! Forget it!"

Mimi opened the door, confused at who could be knocking so early. The thought that it was Tama entered her mind and made her shudder. She opened the door, it was not Tama, but the person it was, was just as bad….if not worse..

"Rubius…" Mimi commented dryly, and started to close the door.

"WAIT!! I picked you flowers!" Rubius protested, sticking his foot in the way of the door to keep in from slamming in his face.

Mimi frowned at the roses he held out to her.

"They are beautiful, but I can't accept such a gift from you. Sorry."

"Come on Mimi! Give me a chance!!"

"….You say that to every girl in the village, I…I'm sorry but I just don't like guys like you…."

"Oh, Mimi! I'm trying to change!! I want to be a one woman man! Just PLEASE!!!"

"…..But…."

"Hear take the flowers! Think about it!!"

Rubius tossed the flowers into Mimi's hands before zipping away, leaving a baffled Mimi behind.

`….Well, nice flowers….but what a jerk of a guy…..'

Tama growled, biting on his finger nails.

"What does that scrawny little bratty-boy think he's doing with MY girl? Flowers huh? Well I'LL top that!"

" So, my boy! I see you have a sword!" Roundy observed, snatching the sword from Ryan's side.

"…Uh, yeah…"

"Never seen one like this before. Did you name it?" Roundy continued interested.

"….No…."

FLASH

" It's name is Oisa…"

FLASH

"Oisa…I named it Oisa." Ryan replied, almost monotone.

The group blinked surprised. Never once had Ryan ever mentioned his sword having a name.

Genki's eyes had gone huge, and he just sat still as though in shock, slowly turning to look at Ryan baffled and horrifde.

Alex gave the demon-half a hard stare. "Oisa, you do know what that name means, right?"

Lima looked nerved. " I had lots of training in the occult. I may be an cop but I'm still an occultists… Oisa, it's another name for Lucifer, or Satan."

Alex nodded in agreement. " Oisa also means the end of all things, all life…the death and destruction of all…Giving that name to a weapon, gives very bad implications of your character. And considering that is a `Demon sword' the implications are even

worse."

"...Oisa...." Lemon shivered, looking nerved. 'I did not hear that word since the days of Cid...and the goddess wars....'

" Geeze, Rya!! That's a scary name!!" Mara shivered.

Ryan blinked confused. " What name?"

The group turned to each other confused.

"……..The name of your sword….." Squall spoke slowly, eyeing him strangely.

Ryan titled his head in confusion, a puzzled expression plastered on his face.

"What are you talking about, I didn't name my sword anything…"

" But…You just said….Oisa!!" Genki exclaimed.

"…I think you were hearing things, I never even heard of that word before." The demon half looked at them as if they all had to much to drink or something and returned his attention back to his breakfast. Meanwhile the group just turned to each other in

bewilderment and eyed Ryan suspicious.

The door bell rang again, and with a sigh Mimi headed towards the door again, flinging it open.

"Rubius, for the last time, I----!!"

Tama smiled his gorgeous grin, and handed her a box of chocolate and a blood red ruby rose that sparkled in the sun.

"For the beautiful singing fairy who captured my heart."

"….Tama…" Mimi swallowed nervously.

"TAMA!!? AS IN TAMA TAHOMIE!?!?" Mimi's little sisters exclaimed, hearts dancing in their eyes as they ran towards the

door, throwing themselves at him. Tama looked down at the children, as if they were bugs and began to try and pry them off of him.

Carrie blinked wide eyed, and slowly turned to Genki who had his head down dejectedly, and his fist clenched angrily .

"Genki?" The Fernandez asked concerned.

"….Roundy, let me borrow you `Tama Voodoo doll'…." Genki muttered slowly, as he glanced up at Tama who kissed Mimi's cheek before running off.

"Hear." Roundy said with sympathy handing him the doll. "Let it all go."

"….Thanks…." Genki got up from the table and went back up to the guest room.

Lemon blinked. "Hey Squall, what do you think he's going to do to that voodoo doll?"

"………Hn….."

"Come on! Talk to me." Lemon frowned.

"…..Hn."

"I'll tell everybody about…'chic, chic! Meoowww!!' " Lemon whimpered teasingly, getting only a strange, confused look from

Squall in returned. Lemon rolled his eyes, knowing that Squall had no idea in the nine hells what he had meant.

"I'll tell everyone we had sex, get it now?" The Dampier grumbled dully.

"……….Lima didn't tell everyone?"

"Nope…..I told her I would cut her hair off in the night if she did."

"…..oh."

"So?"

"…………What was the question?"

Lemon opened his mouth, then shut it, blinking confused. " I forgot."

Well to answer the question that they may never remember, upstairs Genki was busy jumping up and down on the doll, sticking

it with pins, hammering it, decapitating it, axing it, punching it, hanging it, biting it, pulling it's limbs off, feeding some of the doll

to some hungry birds, pounding a knife threw it's head, ripping it's eyes from it's sockets, smashing it flat, then finally tossing it

into a blazing fire place. Looking back at the burning doll her spat on it.

"Be thankful I didn't decide to torture you!"

Note; No dolls were harmed during this story, people yes, but dolls, no, so it's ok : )

Rubius growled, eyeing Tama sharply.

"Hey! What do you think your doing!? Mimi's MY girl!!"

Tama looked at this fairy, disgusted.

"YOUR GIRL!? A shrimp like you!?"

"YES! I mean no!! I mean….Grrrrrrrr!!!"

Tama smiled almost mockingly.

"Look, why not we hold a contest, you seem like that, woman collecting type. Whoever Mimi chooses tonight, will be counted as the supreme ladies man."

Rubius grinned confidently. " Your on…"

Mimi sighed, wiping sweat from her brow, as she stood on top of a chair, trying to reach some flour. She had offered to make

some shortcake for the festival tonight, but right now she was regretting it, it was such a hot day, being around the stove was

not the brightest of ideas. In her absent mindlessness her foot missed the chair and with a short cry she toppled backwards.

Squeezing her eyes shut she waited for the pain of the fall but it never came. Instead she landed in a pair of strong arms.

"Hey, Mimi you should watch your steps better." Genki grinned at her before helping her back on her feet.

"Oh, thank you, Genki." Mimi smiled, blushing slightly.

"So, what are you cooking?" The boy asked with interest, picking up her recipe sheet, reading it curiosity.

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 table spoon baking powder

3 tablespoons unsalted butter or margarine, cut into pieces

For the filling

2 pints fresh strawberries, sliced

1 tablespoon orange juice

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

Vanilla non-fat yogurt and mint leaves for garnish

1. Preheat oven to 450 F. Spray a baking sheet with vegetable cooking spray. Set aside.

2. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, and baking powder, Stir in the orange peel. Using a pastry blender or 2 knives

cut the butter into the flour mixture until coarse crumbs form. Quickly stir in the milk until a soft dough forms.

3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to an

trimmings, re-roll, and cut out more biscuits. Place prepared baking sheet. Bake until golden, about 12 to 15 minutes. Place

biscuits on a wire rack and cool slightly.

4. To prepare filling, in a large bowl, combine strawberries, orange juice, and sugar. Mix well.

5. Split warm biscuits in half horizontally. Place bottom halves on serving plates. Top each with some filling. Cover with biscuit

tops. Serve with remaining filling; garnish with yogurt and mint.

Genki smiled, handing her back the recipe.

"Sounds good."

"It's strawberry shortcake." Mimi added shyly.

Their was an awkward silence before Mimi stuttered.

"…G…Genki?"

"Hm?"

"D…Do, um, you want to come with me to pick some straw berries, I don't think I have enough."

Blushing red the boy nodded happily.

"Sure, I'd love to!"

"Rya!?" Mara called out smiling, as she searched around the woods playfully for him. Finally she spotted him near the water.

"There you are!!"

Ryan turned around to face her as she sat down, happily beside him.

"Hey, Mara, what's got you so excited?"

"Oh…nothing much, I'm just happy, that's all."

"Why?"

"I don't know, it could be just because there is a festival tonight, remember, it was a festival day at school once when we were much younger? Remember how we let our balloons fly?"

"Balloons?"

"Yes, you had a blue one."

FLASH

Ryan sat puzzled for a moment before smiling.

"Oh yeah, and you had an orange one."

"It was strange how we both ended up with our favorite color of balloon. Parfait had a white one, but she was to small to hold

it, and lost it right away. Poor kid, she cried so much, but you were nice enough to give her you balloon."

"Yeah, that's right, I can't believe I almost forgot."

"Hey Ryan....do you remember anything about the dance that night...?"

"…….Dance...I never remember the school having a dance."

".....We danced together....with Parfait. It was the last dance ever held at school....." Mara sighed.

"Why was that?"

"………No reason, lack of funds." Mara's voice was slightly dry, and he could tell that she was holding something back, but he wasn't going to force her.

"Anyway, Rya, Fifi is giving all of us girls free dresses. The woman is wonderful, she can make a huge ball dress in less than a hour. It must be magic or something!!"

" That's nice."

"RYA!!" Mara whined loudly. "Come with me and tell me how I look!!"

"Kay! Just don't shout in my ear!!" Ryan whimpered, clutching his head painfully.

" Wow, we got lots of berries." Mimi smiled softly, holding one of the baskets close to her body in order to be able to keep from dropping it.

Genki held another basket, easily in his hand and smiled. " More then enough then what we need for shortcake."

The fairy-half smiled softly. " Yes, I know, but, I like strawberries too, so we'll have something to snack on. Do you like strawberries, Genki?"

"Oh yeah! They are my favorite fruit."

Mimi chuckled lightly. " I like mine with cream, how about you?"

" Hmmm, I like my with dream-whip."

"They are the same thing, aren't they?" Mimi asked with a smile.

"No, not exactly, cream has more milk." Genki smiled back, before both of them started laughing lightly.

Both looked startled as a weak chirping interrupted their laugher.

"Oh!" Mimi frowned, kneeling down in a strawberry patch. " That poor baby bird must have fallen out of it's nest. I think it's

leg is broke."

"Is their anything we can do for it?" Genki asked concerned.

Mimi smiled, nodding her head. " It's not a serious injury, I'll be able to heal it easily. But the strawberries will turn bad if we

leave it out in this heat to long."

"I'll take them back to the house, if you want."

"Ok, I'll be there soon, right after I fix this birds leg."

Mimi smiled, looking up at Genki as he started to leave.

"Hey, Genki?"

The boy turned around to look at her. Putting her head down shyly she said "Thank you, Genki."

Tama grinned. "Heh-heh, hurting that bird was an excellent idea, now, just to catch the bait while it's stopped on the road."

Mimi easily healed the birds wing but for some reason it still wouldn't fly. The fairy-half peered up at the nest in the tall tree with a frown.

"I guess I could fly up there…I just hope the bird does not get startled and falls out of my hands…."

"Hear, let me." Tama grinned taking the bird gently from Mimi's hands and placing it back safely in it's nest.

"Um...Thanks." Mimi blushed softly, looking down at her feet.

"It was no problem, anything to help a poor helpless creature! So have you thought about it?"

"....Um, I'm not sure yet...I...I need some more time to think about it..."

"...I suppose I could wait, I mean I have a whole six months...*cough!* "

"Oh! Are you ok!?"

"I...I think I'll be ok...*Cough* I'll see you later Mimi....I hope that *cough, wheeze* you say yes."

"Ohhh...." Mimi frowned as she watched him stagger painfully away. ' What do I do?'

Rubius frowned watching Mimi walking home.

"How can I get her attention?"

The fairy boy turned towards the small kitten that circled around his leg, purring softly, an evil grin spreading across his face.

Mimi smiled as she saw herself approaching her house, it was hot and she wanted to get out of the sun, but something stopped her before she reached the door. Frantic meowing noises.

'Is that Mara...or an under evolved cat?' The fairy-half wondered following the noise. As she came to it's source she paused surprised. Rubius was up in the tree helping a tiny little baby kitten down from a very high branch.

"Shhh, kitty, it's all right, your safe now." He cooed petting the cats fur softly as he touched the ground.

"Oh Rubius! You saved that little kitten, that was so nice of you!" Mimi praised, this was a side of Rubius she had never saw before, and wanted that animal-caring side to stay.

"Oh thank you! Just helping out those sweet little animals like I always do!"

Mimi blinked, frowning. " Always?"

"Oh yes! I love animals!"

"....Hmmm, well, I got to go..."

"Mimi, please choose me to be your prince tonight!"

"....Ah....well, no, Rubius. I'm sorry, but you chase after every girl in the village, I don't like guys like that...."

"I'm a changed man! Please just give me one chance!! PLEASE!!!"

"....I'll....I'll think about it....bye!"

Rubius grinned as he watched he run into the house, a grin on his face. ' She will be mine...'

Ryan laid with his eyes closed, looking as if he was asleep. He was hardly even moving, it was hard to tell if he was even

breathing.

"Hey Ryan! Are ya asleep?" Lemon asked, poking his head into the room. He did not get a response and walked into the

room, to set on his bed.

"Ryan! Mara wants you!!"

The demon-half still didn't move.

"Ryan?"

Nervously Lemon reached out a hand shaking his arm, becoming ruffer every moment.

Slowly Ryan opened his eyes, staring up into his face weakly.

"Hey Ryan, you don't look so good? Ya sick?" Lemon asked, slightly concerned, like a little kid would be over a older brother.

"....eh..."

Lemon removed his hand from Ryan's shoulder, gasping for a moment, before staring at his arm. A large bruise laid on the boys skin from where Lemon had shook him.

'Either I've got ALOT stronger or something else going on....'

Ryan followed his gaze and sighed, pulling himself up.

"I always bruised easily, ever since I was a younf kid of eleven...but it's getting worse."

Lemon blinked puzzled, before grinning. " Hey, you have demon blood."

"Well....uh, duh?"

The Dampire rolled his eyes. " I know enough about demons to know that they have to consume flesh and blood to stay

When they reached the end of the stairs Lemon ran right up to Squall, throwing his arms cutely over his shoulder, playfully

nibbling on his ear while the man beast just blushed, not wanting to see the strange looks they were receiving from Mimi's family. Ryan laughed lightly, he had to admit, Lemon and Squall looked cute together, not to mention Lemon could do enough

talking for both of them, so Squall would never have to speak.

"Rya! How do I look?" Mara squealed walking towards him.

He turned towards her, jaw almost dropping. She was gorgeous!! She was wearing an mini creamy orange-pink dress that hugged her slim curvy body tightly, and the dress sparkled with rime stones.

"Mara, you look beautiful!"

The cat girl slightly blushed before she started to chuckle. " But then again, I always look beautiful right?"

Ryan laughed. "Right."

Fifi frowned. " I've got to start on Mimi's dress...where is she?"

"Making short cake!" Nini, Lili, and Kiki, exclaimed together, all dressed in look alike fancy dresses.

"I'll go get her." Carrie offered walking into the kitchen.

The young Fernandez paused shocked as she opened the kitchen door. The room was covered in flour, and the two figures

whom she barley recognized as Mimi and Genki stood in the middle of the room covered with the white substance. Both of

them blushed as they spotted Carrie staring at them.

"What's taking so long?" Fifi asked walking up behind Carrie and almost having a heart-attack.

Genki laughed nervously, putting one hand behind his head. " Well, one thing kind of led to another...."

"Sorry mom....we.....got bored waiting for the shortcakes to cool."

"ACK!! Mimi!! Who'll clean this up, I've got your dress to make!"

"It's all right dear...go over to the fairy springs and get cleaned up, I'll make your dress when you get back...."

"All right."

Fifi watched as Mimi left the room, blushing in the cheeks. Genki guiltily tried to slip out of the room when he was stopped by Fifi who handed him a mop.

The girls rested in the nice warm water of the fairy springs, it was relaxing and comfortable.

"Hey Mimi, so who are you going to pick to be your prince? Genki, right?" Mara smiled, splashing her playfully with some water.

"Um...well...."

The rest of the group looked at Mimi puzzled as the girl stared down at her feet.

"Well?" Mara repeated.

Mimi sighed telling them all about Tama, and about Rubius.

Lima frowned. "....Tama....He's a pop star, a real playboy...I don't think he's telling you the truth at all."

"But, what if he is? He's going to die....I...I don't know....and Rubius...he's trying to change his ways....I don't want to hurt them."

Carrie frowned. " What about Genki? He'll be hurt.....hurt alot."

" Yeah,these boys sound like total jerks! Tama, Rubius, what kind of name are those anyway?" Mara chewed her lip bitterly.

Rubius eyes widened as he lessened to them on the outside of the hot tub.

" So that is how Tama is trying to win her over....."

On the other side of the wall Tama was leaned over lessening, not being noticed or noticing Rubius.

Tama was heading threw the woods when he came to a pause, spotting a girl dressed in a short brown skirt, and revealing yellow shirt, sun-bathing on a large flat

rock.

Lemon pulled himself up in a setting position.

"Oh...Hi there." He made his voice sound sexily sweet. " Want to join me, Heh-heh!"

Tama wasted no time climbing the rock up next to what he taught was a beautiful girl.

"So..." Lemon squeaked cutely, trailing his fingers over Tama's chest. " Your the famous Tama right? I'm such a huge fan...."

"Really, baby." Tama grinned, playing with a strain of Lemon's long hair. " How about you come with me? A girl with such a pretty face should be seen with a handsome guy like me."

Lemon sniffed. " I saw you drooling after Mimi! She holds your heart!"

"Oh no, baby!" Tama protested. "I'm just using her. You know I collect girls from around the world. It's a hobby."

"I told the little squirt that I was going to die so I could date her and make her fall in love with me."

Lemon turned red as Tama grabbed his butt, forcing him closer to him. "Hands off...."

The Dampire turned to Squall with a wide smile on his face.

Rubius was walking when he heard small cries for help. Approaching them he saw girl with her hair tied up into two nerdy

pig-tails, thick black glasses, buck teeth, and nerdy clothes.

"Oh help! I think I broke my ankle." The girl cried in an annoying voice.

Rubius sighed shaking his head. " I Rubius is a lover of all women, but only the beautiful ones receive my kindness."

"Oh But my foot!! Oh PLEASE help!!"

Rubius walked away leaving her. The nerdy girl grinned and began to laugh, undoing her hair, removing the glasses and the fake

buck teeth.

"Squall, got that?"

"....Yup. "

"Good, now where are my clothes?"

Squall frowned watching as Lemon got undressed from the nerdy clothes and put back on the robe.

"Lemon....I know your girlie, but how come you carry make-up and girlie clothes with you?"

"Hah, hah!! You never know what you might need!"

"Lemon, where did you get all these clothes anyway? You have tons of them."

"I make them myself. This outfit is my favorite, though." He smiled, hugging the robes tighter to hisbody, feeling the slikly and comfortable fabric press against his skin.

"The gold patterns on it, looks familiar."

"Yeah, that's because I often copy Maya's style of clothing when I made this outfit. The gold pattern on my robe is that same as what she had on her cloak."

"You were very close to Ruto as a child, huh?"

"Yeah....It was like having a family....before I met her, I was evil....I use to be evil in the first war...actually I caused Cid and his

group a little bit of trouble....I'm surprised he did not try and slash me to bits with his sword or something.....Yeah, I caused them all kinds of trouble......"

"Hmmmm...."

"Squall, how long do man-beasts live?"

"Normal time as humans, do, the only diffrence is that men beast look younger because we go by wolf years, if I would to look like normal human years I would be around fifty or something..."

The festival had already began, the party was huge and there was music and dancing it was great fun. Lima was at the food

stand pigging out on food and sweets. Carrie had been asked to dance by a little fairy-boy. Mara and Ryan were dancing, Alex

was just setting on a bench bored out of his mind, and Genki was just gazing around at all the festival lights.

Mimi, dressed in a stunning pink dress that went down to her feet, it had a huge silk boy in the back of it, and a huge bow that

brought her hair up in a high pony-tail. The bows and the dress sparkled with jewels, and the dressed seemed to shine. Mimi

frowned, thinking about how she would have to choose her prince. She did not want to hurt anyone...Tama, he was going to

die...

"Mimi! Mimi!" Lemon exclaimed as he followed by a bored looking Squall. " You can't pick either Tama or Rubius!"

"Huh? How did you know....?"

"I overheard you talking in the hot springs. Anyway, we wanted to see their threw colors, so...."

Lemon played the tape recorder to the stunned fairy-half. When the tape stopped playing Mimi lowered her head not looking up at the concerned Dampire and man-beast.

"......you ok?"

"Hey, Mimi...."

The fairy half was mumbling something underneath her breath. Straining their ears they lessened to what she was saying.

".....Those......no.....good.....for.....nothing.....playboy.... bastards....."

Both jumped in alarm. Mimi said a swear word!?

"Mimi?" Both asked stunned.

"Those mean rotten creeps, they are sleazy and...and....."

"Hear they come....!" Lemon replied, him and Squall backing away as Rubius and Tama approached Mimi from behind the

stage.

"Hey, who you going to pick?" Tama demanded.

"Me or him?"

Slowly the fairy-half rewarded them with a death-glare, her pink eyes appearing red.

Tama and Rubius backed away in fear, shivering as Mimi approached them, looking dangerous.

"Just because I'm nice." Mimi began, slowly, voice harsh with anger. " Does not mean that I don't get mad."

The fairies blinked confused as they heard to girlie screams and watched as Tama and Rubius ran out of village seeming to be

running for their life.

"Squall please remind me....never get Mimi mad."

The festival went on with lots of fun, Lemon had even got Squall to dance, and Alex was still dancing with I, the magical author of this world.

Laura and Rex watched the party from the tree tops.

It came time to for Mimi to walk out on stage and the people cheered the princess. Mimi blushed, looking at her shoes.

Fifi and Roundy walk on stage. " Mimi was chosen to be the princess this year, and she will dance the fairy-song, and will sing

her own song, then she will pick her prince and they will have a dance together."

Mimi bowed to the audience, everyone cheered as she danced to the fairy song, which was a lively little beat, wistful and

spiritual at the same time. Genki was blushing all the way threw it, but could not force himself to take his eyes away from Mimi.

It then came time for Mimi to sing her song, blushing the fairy half took a microphone in hand.

"....I wrote this song myself....um, I....I....hope you like it."

Carrie stared at the floor not able to look into Genki's eyes, forcing to hold in her tears.

Genki closed his eyes allowing a tear to slip threw, wrapping an arm around Carrie's waist he held her close, allowing her to get

some comfort to find the power to hold her tears back. Carrie and Genki weren't the only one touched by Mimi's words but so were her parents.

"Roundy....I think I understand now why she left the village to join that school...."

Roundy put his arm around Fifi's waist, eyes misty.

It came time for Mimi to finally pick her prince. Blushing Mimi looked down at her feet, then slowly back up at the crowd. Holding the microphone up in her hands, her face blushed pink.

".......Well.....I'm kind of shy to ask this.......but.......If he wants to....I would like one of my best friend.....ever, to dance with

me tonight......Genki? Will you please be my prince?"

Genki was frozen with shocked, but then a huge smile broke out onto his face, his eyes shining.

"Will I!? You don't have to ask!" Genki hoped up onto the stage, kneeling before Mimi, kissing her hand.

"My princess, I would be honored to have this dance."

Blushing redder, Mimi smiled. ".....Genki....."

The group watched smiling as a soft music began to play and the fighter and the fairy began to dance, holding each other close.

'I never felt so at ease before.....Is this how love feels?' Mimi thought, closing her eyes.

Both had never felt so complete in there lives, in this dance, they had found the part of them that was missing all this time....but

they knew after this dance was over...they would both become to shy again to ever get this close to each other again. By while

it lasted....it was the most wonderful thing they had ever felt.

Ryan smiled as he watched them. Over their travels together he had became fawn of all of his friends, and it made him so glad to see that they were happy. Mimi, she had been a long time friend of his...Genki, he admitted when their journey first started

he did not like him that much, the hyper boy would often pull his tail when they were younger and bug him as to why he had

fangs, but over the travels he had gotten to understand the boy better, and now, he was a friend. They both were, and it made him so happy to see them together.

' Love, is such a beautiful thing, isn't it, Ryan?' Ruto's voice asked him, from inside his head, sounding almost blissful.

'It is....Love....it's such a amazing thing....you could miss meeting someone by a second, that is why true love is such a miracle.'

The song was almost over, and not realizing what they were doing, both Genki and Mimi leaned forward to kiss, their lips

almost touching when suddenly an huge explosion rang all threw the sky. Looking up in horror they watched as Laura and Rex

stood in the middle of the festival, everything behind them, burned to cinders.

"....A bomb can do so much damage, don't you agree? I'm Laura, you defeated our sister, Lena, and her student Karl, but you

will not defeat my son Rex and I! We will find the one with a pure soul!"

"Not if we can help it!" Ryan exclaimed, taking up his sword, growling.

Alex aimed his gun, while Lemon, Mara and Squall got into fighting positions also.

"Lima, Carrie, get the fairies out of hear!" Ryan ordered.

"Hey!! I'm fighting to!" Roundy exclaimed, running up to the group to fight by their sides.

".............." Rex glowed a bright red, suddenly he vanished, leaving a lesser demon in his place. It was huge, and powerful

looking....a cycopls! Ryan whipped out his T.P.R.A. and pointed at the creature.

Cycopls

Huge creatures of mass destruction. They are blind but they can sense by sound. Their one eye can summon magic. They are

very slow movers, but are very powerful and have high life. They can destroy small cites within minuets.

"OK, CYCOPLS!! TAKE CARE OF THESE LOSERS!!!"

Genki stood infront of Mimi protectively, as Laura appeared infront of him.

"Let me have the girl, Hikari says that she may have a piece of the goddess stone."

" I wont let you harm Mimi! No matter what! I'll die before I let you kill her!"

"Genki...!!"

"Mimi Run! I'll hold her off! KAMAHA!!!!"

Laura shrieked as a blast of energy hit her in the face, Genki took this time to turn around to face Mimi. " Run!!"

".........I can't leave you!"

"Do it! You must live! I will be ok, but I can't fight if I know your in danger, so please!!"

"All right....LINK!!!"

The winged horse appeared in a flash of light and Mimi climbed on. " Genki promise me, you wont die!"

"I promise, and I always keep my promises!"

"Link, let's go and get the people out of the village!"

"Yes!" The horse nodded and flew away.

"....Mimi, I hope I can keep my promise....Laura is one tuff bitch...."

Half of the village was already destroyed, and so were many of the people. Carrie and Lima were forced to give up searching

for survivors as the Cyclops sent a magical blast, knocking them out, blood running in crimson puddles underneath their

bodies...it was a miracle if they were still alive....

Mimi had tried to get close to the ground in order to save some of the people but the flames reached to high, if they had went any lower they would have ended up as crispy critters.

"Link! We can't let everyone die!!" Mimi sobbed.

"I can use my ice attack to put the fire out....but it'll take a few minuets....." Link whimpered softly, at the death taking place.

"Ok.....please....just hurry....."

They were fighter a loosing battle, but they refused to give up. They would never give up....

"DOOM OF THE LIVING!!" Mara exclaimed, rising her two razor claws into the air and dashing forward, at an amazing

quick speed she twirled and leapt, slashing the beast viciously all over the body. Becoming to tired to continue this pace Mara

retreated back, waiting to see what damage her attack did. Ryan did not have time to be amazed with Mara's new discovered

fighting ability, as the creature roared in anger, blood spilling from wounds all over it's body. But It was not quite dead

yet....Sending a magical blast from it's eye it destroyed another part of the city, including a building where almost all the fairies

were hiding in.

"NO!!!!" Roundy screamed, tears running down his face. " Nini, Lili, Didi, Fifi....they were.....GODAMN IT ALL TO HELL, I'LL

KILL YOU EVEN IF IT MEANS MY OWN LIFE!!!!!"

Mimi who had frozen that area so the flames could not reach, screamed in horror and anguish as she watched her father jump into the air, his sword ready to chop down on top of the beasts head.

His sword never got an inch to the skull. The lesser demons mighty hand swatted at Roundy, as if he were a fly, sending him crashing to the ground, blood spraying from his mouth.

"DADDY!!!!!" Mimi screamed, tears burning in her eyes.

Genki delivered another mighty blow to Laura's face, enraged at what she had done to Mimi's home.

"Why is it, you fight with such passion!?"

"I fight with love....love for Mimi...and I fight with hate....hate for what you have done to her home! I swear I will kill you..."

"Well, I promise you, someday, you'll have it to do....but not to day! FIRE BALL!!"

Genki screamed in agony as the fire magic hit him right in the eyes. He fell on his knees cradling his burnt eyes in his hands.

Laura gazed up at the burning tress. " Just as you wish, Saiyoua, the destruction of everything, including even the beautiful."

Lemon, Squall, and Alex were knocked out of it, unable to stand, while Mara was on her knees weakly, having used up all of

her energy. Ryan was the last one left standing, but he also was getting tired, and his vision blurred. Unable to dodge the Cyclops,

Ryan found himself trapped in it's fist. Unable to stop himself from crying out in agony as the fist tightened around him, crushing

his bones, his sword fell from his weak hands, hitting the ground like a discarded toy. From where it lay embedded into the ground glowing a soft purple.

"ROUNDY!!!" Fifi sobbed running up to her husband who lay on the battlefield, staring up at her weakly, threw moist eyes. She had been the only one to survive the house being blown up, and tears still fell down her cheeks about her three youngest daughters.

"I fucked up, huh? Guess I've gotten old....huh?"

"Roundy..." Fifi bit her quivering lip.

"Shh....don't cry....I'll see you soon....someday.....I love you....always.....always will...." Roundy closed his eyes forever and Fifi sobbed loudly, suddenly her eyes grew big as a knife pierced her back. Slowly her eyes, filled with tears closed and she fell on

top of her husbands body, breathing no more.

Laura grinned as she removed the knife from the fairies body. " He'll be seeing you sooner then he thought."

"No....MOM....DAD!!!!" Mimi cried running towards them, pitiful tears running down her face.

"Don't worry, you'll be seeing them....and your sisters soon enough." Laura smiled mockingly.

Lowering her head Mimi wept, her tears falling to the ground, being obsorbed by the fertile, and blood soaked soil.

"Mimi...." Link whispered.

"I.....I.......YOU WILL DIE, SO HELP ME!!" Rising her hands into the air Mimi screamed, crystal tears falling down her

cheeks.

" HEAVENS TEARS!!!!!!!!"

Genki climbed over the hill, blinking to regain his vision as he watched as Mimi and Link began to glow white, power running

threw their bodies. In awe he watched as crystal tears fell from the sky. The destroyed the Cyclops instantly as they struck, and

revived Ryan and the others, who sat up and watched in a drenched shock. Laura was screaming from agony, shielding her

eyes. This rain....it only seemed to harm people that were evil. Laura knew she had to stop it, or else she would die. Extending

her arm out she cried as she extracted Mimi's soul crystal from her body.

Genki's eyes widened in sheer horror as he watched the light fade and Mimi's eyes widened as she fell to the ground limply.

"MIMI!!!" Genki screamed, running towards her. In tears he held her body close to his, sobbing as she did not move.

Link let one tear fall from his face as he gazed at the forests which were now completely burned down, and vanished out of existence.

Laura laughed. " Looks like it wasn't the soul we were looking for....but at least we go lots of Magention for Saiyoua...."

"Shut up!" Genki growled. " Give Mimi back her life....take mine instead if you have to! Just....let Mimi live....."

" I think I'll just take both of yours....that way, you can die together, just like her parents."

Genki looked at Mimi's parents who lay forgotten in the blood shed, tears burning in his eyes.

"Laura....someday....I'll kill you. Kill you with my own power and my own two hands!! You and your son, you will pay!!"

" As I said....someday you'll have it to do....."

" ARROW OF FAITH!!"

"DESTINY'S FORCE!!!"

The two attacks struck Laura from behind, making her drop Mimi's soul crystal.

"You caused enough death, leave hear now!" Amy exclaimed.

"Your welcome to stay though, if you will stand still and let us end your rotten existence." Kim said smugly.

"Hmmm, fine. Keep the crystal, we got enough Magention to keep Saiyoua strong for a long time." Laura disappeared with a laugh.

The group watched unable to move as Amy placed Mimi's soul back into her body.

" You see now, why we must find and kill those three who hold a piece of the goddess stone?" Kim asked coldly, as she and Amy walked away, threw the forest which was now covered with ice.

" If we don't....more massacres like this one will happen.....the war between the light and the dark will continue forever...."

" This is not war..." Genki sobbed. " It's global slaughter...."

Slowly Mimi's eyes opened and she stared at her home which was now nothing but an icy grave. Everyone watched her as she

silently gazed upward watching the souls of the people in the village, float into the never ending sky, where they would become

part of Saiyoua's being. Slowly she fell to her knees and began to sob, pounding the icy ground with her fist.

"Why! Why!? WHY!?"

She continued to sob, her friends gazing at her sadly.

"Dammit....why...." her voice weakened as she broke into heavy, uncontrolled sobs. On impulse Genki wrapped his arms around her, letting her cry on his shoulder. Letting her cry her tears which would never end.
