Chapter 28: Willfulness

" Rex, this mission is up to you. There is an fighting tournament held in the town, Chi-lan. Ryan and his group is there now. I want us to attack that boy, Genki. However....He is strong, we will need to get him weakened. As things are now, your not strong enough to beat him in battle, but, say if he was blinded by rage his fighting will become sloppy, and you can win." Laura explained.

"............."

Laura smirked. " Yes Rex, that girl he likes, Mimi Sakura, go after her to make him truly angry. Then kill him in the ring, I'm sure his soul contains a piece of the goddess stone."

It had taken them two weeks to reach Chi-Lan. The groups moral was up, and Ryan was recovering more then he had before. Squall kept an close eye on Lemon, for obvious reasons. The Dampire, except for the regular morning sickness, and stomach aches was fine. The group sat their bags up in the motel, it was already dark when they had reached the town. Lima quickly fell asleep, not use to walking such long distances yet. Carrie, Genki and Mimi had gone out to a restaurant to get something to eat. Alex once again used Genki's computer to hack more into Angeles computer databases, he just did not know the meaning of the phrase `take it easy.'

Mara sat on Ryan's bed, watching him like a cat watching a mouse. Well, she WAS a cat so she couldn't really help it.

"Rya....I'm glad your getting better..."

"Thanks, Mara....I'm sorry for attacking you and all...."

"Hey, stop apologizing, it wasn't your fault, Keith was controlling you."

"Hmmmm...."

A few moments of silenced passed, and Mara lowered her eyes to the floor.

"Rya....Do you still love Ruto?"

The demon-half stared at her, surprised by the sudden question. " Yes."

The cat sighed. " If you wasn't.....I would hold you in my arms right now....and maybe....Lemon would not be the only one going to have a baby."

Ryan blushed shyly.

" Rya....Did you and Ruto ever.....?" Mara let the question trail off, knowing she did not have to finish it, for Ryan to be able to understand what she meant.

"Yes.....we did." Ryan answered, painfully. It was because he couldn't accept that night that he had lost Ruto in the first place....if only he hadn't caused her to run off the day....maybe she would still be with him.

"So....I can never be yours, huh?"

"Mara......"

"It's ok, Rya. I understand....But I was just hopeing, that's all....It's all right, as I said before, I'll just continue to love you with only half of my heart."

` But I can still wish that I could love you with all of my heart....'

"Squall, I can walk..." Lemon sighed as the man-beast carried him to their room, laying him on the bed gently.

" As long as that baby is there, am not taking the chance of you tripping and breaking your neck or something."

The Dampire rolled his eyes, pushing himself into a setting position. " Squall, what do you want? A boy or a girl?"

The man-beast clicked in thounge in thought. " Any child would be fine, as long as it's ours. But a little girl, I guess would be nice."

"We should really think of names...." Lemon trailed off, sounding excited.

" What name would you like?"

"I don't know....what about Emily?"

"Naw."

"Yeah, that name is way to normal for us." Lemon chuckled. " What about...Pan if it's for a girl?"

"That's a nice name....but Pan means bread, doesn't it?"

"Well....It comes in with the rest of our names..." Lemon smiled.

"How so?"

"Well, The name `Squall' relates to a Rain storm...Lemon is a fruit, it needs Rain to grow, and Pan meaning 'bread' and water is needed to grow wheat."

"I guess." Squall chuckled lightly. "And what about if it's a boy?"

"Parn!"

Both of them giggled, slightly. Squall shook his head, he guessed his first child will be named after `bread' no matter what it was born, boy or girl.

Genki, Carrie and Mimi where heading back from the restaurant, talking and laughing. If someone were to look at them quickly, they would think it was one happy family. But no one was out this late a night, well one man was, and his eyes rested on them, darkly.

"Oh!" Mimi suddenly exclaimed, stopping.

"What?" Genki asked concerned.

"I forgot my wallet at the restaurant...I'll go back and get it."

"I can walk with you." He offered.

"Oh, that's all right, besides...Carrie seems tired, take her back to the motel, before she falls asleep."

"Ok, be careful Mimi."

"I will. After all, the restaurant is just across the street."

Genki nodded, taking the half asleep Carrie inside of the motel, while Mimi smiled watching them.

` It feels as though It was a real family....to bad, we can't all be one.....' Mimi wandered to the table they sat at that night, picking up her wallet. ` But it would be nice...'

Suddenly she felt something grab her from behind. She tried to scream but a strong hand covered her mouth. Her wallet fell from her hand as she was dragged away into a dark ally.

` What a terrible way to do things...but it still gets things accomplished, so who cares if it's sinful.' Rex thought as he threw Mimi to the ground.

The small fairy-half looked up at him with fear, trembling all over. "Please.....let me go.....Please....."

Rex looked down at her bitterly, suddenly grabbing her dress in his hand, ripping it off of her small body. Mimi screamed, and desperately tried to cover herself, tears, forming in her eyes.

"No! Don't!" She backed up, glad for her underwear which hid her private parts.

She tried to run but Rex grabbed her by her arm, pulling her back onto the ground, and then pinned her down with his weight. The fairy-half continued to scream at the top of her lungs.

"SOMEBODY HELP ME!!! HELP ME!!!"

"Quite!" Rex snapped, speaking in a raspy, messed up tone, slapping her across the face.

Tears streamed down her face, as she was helpless as Rex undressed her. `Genki.....please, help me.....'

Genki looked at the clock on the wall, frowning with worry. "Where is Mimi.....Oh....god let her be ok. I have to go find her...."

Mimi cried out as Rex squeezed her breasts together painfully, her voice was horse from screaming, but she could not stop herself. She did not even know if she was the one screaming anymore....everything was getting dizzy, it was pure terror. She could feel something wet streaming down her face....Tears? Her tears? She squeezed her sore eyes shut as she felt him enter inside of her. This was torture....pure torture. She prayed that she would just pass out soon....that way....she would not feel this pain and humiliation. She felt like a slut....exposed, naked, dirty.....tarnished.....yes that was the word. She felt tarnished.

She did not know how long his torture lasted....it felt like hours, but really it couldn't have been more then a few minuets.

"God....please.....just let me die...." Mimi sobbed, quietly.

"MIMI!!!"

The voice sounded so distant, but she felt Rex's weight leave her body, leaving her panting and crying on the ground.

`Genki....you came.....after all..........'

Genki could feel himself shaking with rage all over, he narrowed venomous eyes at Rex.

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?" He screamed, dashing forward, sending a punch to his face. Rex quickly kneed him in the gut, sending him slamming into one of the allies walls.

"Tomorrow, we fight in the ring....If you win, you can get your revenge by killing me....if I win...I get to take your soul....AND this girl. If you don't fight....I'll take this girl anyway." Rex's spoke, in his raspy, and barely understandable voice, before disappearing.

Genki starred after him, tears of rage coming down his face. " You fucking bastard...."

Slowly he crawled over to Mimi, her eyes staring up into the darkness, tears running down her face.

"Mimi...."

"........."

"Mimi, wake up, snap out of it...."

"........"

"MIMI!!" Genki sobbed, cradling her in his arms.

The whole group was crowded in the hospital room, staring sadly down at Mimi who had fallen into a shock induced coma. Genki was taking it the hardest of all, while Carrie tied at a close second place.

"If only, I had gone with her....this would not have happened! Mimi, I'm so sorry, please forgive me!" Genki sobbed, tears rolling down his cheeks.

"If it wasn't for me....Mimi would have let you come with her....it's my fault....if only I didn't fall asleep, then she would not have asked you to take me back to the motel..." Carrie whimpered, guiltily.

"Hey...it wasn't your faults....there is no point to play the blame game. It's Rex's fault...he was the one that.....raped her....it's all his fault." Lemon said, trying his best to comfort them.

"So....are you.....going to fight in the ring?" Lima asked, softly.

"Yes....I'll kill that bastard with my own two hands!" Genki cursed clenching his fists thightly.

Saiyoua stared up at the sky, eyes drawn to moon. Behind her Taromecika watched as the wind gently blew her hair.

`....Aya.....are you still her, or have you completely become the darkness? But even so...I well always love you....no matter what.....'

An glowing image of a blonde hair woman with blazing blue eyes appeared behind him, eyes glistening with tears.

"You once loved me......"

'....You!.....Your gone......Get away from me!'

The woman sobbed, putting her hands to her face. "Taro!"

The demon god closed his eyes as the woman disappeared into nothingness. "Lou...."

Mimi opened her eyes, she was scared, and surrounded by fog. Everything was cold.

"Where am I? Where am I!" She called out, her voice echoing in the fog, the echo was the only reply she got.

"Am I all alone....? Am I going to die, all alone?"

She fell to her knees sobbing. " Is this what it's going to be like, when the sickness finally knocks me down? Am I going to die all alone? I don't want that but.....I don't want to cause Genki to grieve when I die....I don't want to make him go threw that pain!"

The fog disappeared, causing darkness to surrounded her. Her eyes widened as she saw Genki standing some distance from her, starring at her, his expression on his face unreadable.

"Genki!" Mimi cried out, trembling to much to stand.

Slowly he disappeared into the darkness, leaving her alone once again.

"No! Please come back! DON'T LEAVE ME!!!"

Suddenly the ground broke away from beneath her feet and she plunged downward, the blackness surrounding her. She hit water, black water, and lay still, tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Come on, get up."

Her eyes widened, and she forced herself into a setting position, gasping she put her hand to her mouth in shock. She was starring back at herself. Suddenly she felt cold and she looked down at herself, her clothes were missing, and her body was bruised and red.

"How can this be?" She asked softly. " How can you be me?"

" Me? You? Ha! Don't make me laugh!" The mirror giggled, coldly.

"What?"

"I'm the real Mimi, your not me any longer."

"What are you talking about? If I'm not me, who am I?"

"Don't you remember Mimi? This is not you? The REAL Mimi belongs in the fairy-village, living a short, yet non-violent life. Baking cakes and cookies, and planting flowers. Mimi is a nice, sweet girl. Mimi is not....stained."

Mimi's eyes widened. " Stained?"

"The real Mimi would not run away from home and fight and kill people. The real Mimi's hands is not stained. Neither is her body."

Tears began to roll down her cheeks as her mirror image continued speaking.

"You've been tarnished. You lost your sweetness. You can never go back to being Mimi, you tarnished piece of trash. Do you possibly think Genki would still love you?"

"I'M NOT TARNISHED!! I DID NOT WANT IT....!!!! I....." Mimi broke into sobs. "God....please don't forsake me now.....please....SOMEBODY, HELP ME!!!!"

Genki held Mimi's hand thightly, as tears rolled down her cheeks, her eyes still closed. Slowly he ran his fingers threw her hair.

"Mimi....I will get revenge for you.....If it's the last thing I ever do."

Carrie sat on her bed, eyes starring down at her feet. " Mother, Father....Kathy. I failed in protecting you and everyone else....all because I could not control my power....I caused all of you to die....I vowed never to let the people I love get hurt again....but I did it again. If It wasn't for me....Genki would have gone with Mimi back to that damn restaurant....but because of me......Oh god!! I always mess everything up for the people I love! Why......Why......" Carrie sobbed, throwing herself into her pillow.

"Carrie....." Lima frowned walking into the room. " I heard you crying from down stairs....I can hear things very well with my big ears....It's not your fault....please don't cry. I know I may not be the brightest light-bulb, but I do know, that what happened to Mimi had nothing to do with you. Faith would have found away to make it happen regardless of the fact if you were involved or not."

"I don't believe in such a thing as Faith....but if there is such a thing, then faith is a total bastard!"

"Carrie...."

" I agree, Faith can be a bastard....it's cruel and unmerciful....But it can't be helped." Amy whispered quietly, watching the sean threw the window from a tree branch. Kim closed her eyes, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Destiny can be a rotten thing to. But as I look at it, you can either run from it, and end up dying, or you can embrace it, dispite what it holds for you."

"Squall....." Lemon whispered, snuggling close to him in the bed, frowning.

"Yeah?"

".....Why does bad things happen to good people?"

"............"

"It's just not fair.....life.....Is just cruel and unfair at times."

".......I can't answer you that. If I believed in god, I would make the excuse, like so many others did that, suffering is the way of the lord and that, to deserve to enter into heaven we had to go threw hardships."

"Is heaven really worth it?"

"..........I don't know...."

" Rex, good job, that boy is blinded with pure rage! You will be able to defeat him easily tomorrow." Laura smiled proudly.

"Is serving Saiyoua this important to you mother?" Rex asked, his voice grave.

Laura gasped. " Rex! You spoke!"

" If it is really so important to you then....I will kill him tomorrow....but this suffering is just pointless. But mother....I will do as you say, because, I believe I should always honor the words of the one who gave me life."

"Rex....."

Ryan sat outside, sighing depressed. He could not believe what was happening. Such terrible things.....and it had to happen to Mimi of all people. Mimi who was always so sweet and kind, why does such cruel things always happen to those who did not deserve it?

"Ryan."

"Ruto....."

Ruto slowly wrapped a pair of glowing arms around him, as she appeared from behind him.

"You care so much for everyone....I agree, Mimi really did not deserve this....I wish there was away I could make it, so It never happened....but....I can't. The only one who can help her now....is Genki."

"Is there anything I can do?"

"No....The only thing that can save her is true love....True, innocent, love. Leave her to Genki. He can save her."

"I can save you though, right?"

"Right. Ryan...No matter what happens, I'll always be with you."

Ruto leaned forward, laying a tender kiss on his lips.

Ryan's eyes snapped open and he looked around himself confused. He was setting outside in the rain.

`It was a dream.....' He sighed, raising his hand to his lips. "But it felt so real."

In the distance he could hear small shouts and the sound of someone brutally pounding into a punching bag. The light was on in the gym, frowning sadly he walked towards the doors, leaning up against the frame of the door he watched as Genki pounded into a punching back, tears fall from his eyes.

*Under the beaming sunlight

Even the tears that wet my cheeks

Have, by now, dried and gone away*

`Mimi...All I could do was cry....I could not take your pain away.....' Genki thought as he continued to mindlessly pound his fists into the hard yet soft padded bag. ` I could not protect you...I failed....I fail at everything.....Mimi...please forgive me. I'll dry my tears, and Kill Rex, for revenge for you....and for me.'

`They say I'm innocent, but I'm read to kill. Kill for you. I wont let anyone ever get away with hurting you. But what can I do? Can I really beat him....? `Ha....It's kind of funny...I love you so much, yet I still can't bring myself to say it....Ha, ha, ha, not only do I have no will-power, I'm a coward to...'

"I'M A GOD DAMN COWARD!!!" He scream, sending a powerful punch, destroying the punching bag instantly.

Genki stood trembling, watching the sand pour out of the bag on to his feet. Tears wet his eyes.

"Why....why am I like this....I have no will to control my emotions....no will to fight....but I can't help it. I want to avenge you.....If I don't, I'll feel like a coward forever....am I really this weak...? I could not save you....Mimi....I love you....but I don't deserve you, I could not even protect you...."

"Genki....Please, don't do this to yourself...." Ryan spoke softly, finally making himself known.

The normally hyper boy turned away, as if to hide his tears.

"Go away, you could not possible know how I feel now!"

Ryan did not know what came over him, but he felt his anger boil and in the matter of seconds he crossed the room, sending a punch to Genki's face. The boy fell to the ground from the force of the blow, rubbing his sore jaw. he stared up at Ryan in confusion, who stared down at him, eyes shining with unshed tears.

*The entwined fingers are unadorned

Like a little girl, falling asleep while counting the stars*

" Don't ever say that! That I don't know what your going threw! I know how it's like to fail someone you love! Don't you remember Ruto!? I caused her to be devoured by Saiyoua, all because I was to much of a coward to admit my feelings! Your lucking, you still have a chance to tell Mimi how you feel. You still have a chance to save her from the darkness...."

"But I....."

"You can either choose to fight for vengeance, and fail, or you can fight for Mimi and win! But your heart is so full of self-pity, and hate the first option is all you can choose from! Genki, snap out of it! Were is you will? What happened!? Why is it, you no longer have any will to fight!?"

Genki sobbed, suddenly throwing his arms around Ryan, burring his face into his chest as he cried, bitter tears.

"I love Mimi so much....But am scared...I'm scared to fight...."

"Why?"

"I had a dream....that....I died.....I don't want to die, and leave Mimi....I want to stay with her. Ha, Ha....I'm such a coward."

"Genki....Are you going to give up? Are you going to abandon her?"

"No! I'll never abandon her! I LOVE HER!! But I feel like such a failure to her! I could not stop her home from being destroyed, and I could not stop......" He broke into sobs again.

"Your no coward, if you will still fight for the one you love, Genki....Believe in your feelings, and you will find the straight of will to continue you on. Fight with your heart, not your anger."

"....Even if I die tomorrow, fighting for her.....I would still choose to love her....because, I would rather live until tomorrow, then live a thousand years without ever knowing her."

`.....Genki I'll wish you luck.....Fight for the one you love. Fight for Mimi with all your heart.' A woman with long black hair thought, watching them in the doorway, face covered in the shadows.

"Kim....Do we fight in the tournament tomorrow?" Amy asked softly, cuddling up beside Kim, as they laid on the small bed, that belonged to a kind elderly woman who had decided to let them stay the night.

"...I'll fight, Amy...I just want you to cheer me on." Kim whispered, pulling the purple haired beauty close to her, gently.

"Kim...I'll always cheer you on...."

The were both silent, just laying there in each others embrace, breathing quietly. The only other noise besides that and their own heart beats were the song of crickets.

"Kim?"

"....Hm?"

"After our mission is complete, what will become of us? Will our hands be to stained to ever return to leaving a normal life?"

"Don't think about it. When you think to much about something, the worse possible outcomes always spring to mind, and when the subject of your worries come to time, you will be so nervous about the bad things, that you wont be able to focus on the good, and everything will end up turning sour."

"But Kim...." Amy sighed, cuddling up closer to the other woman. " I can't help but worry about it."

".....Neither can I....."

Ryan sighed walking into his motel room, Mara had tip toed back to the room she shared with Lima, so he began to remove his shirt, throwing it onto the floor. He was about to remove his belt when he heard a soft breathing. Startled his eyes dotted around for the source of the noise. He relaxed as he spotted Carrie setting leaned up against the wall, in the darker part of the room.

"Carrie, what's wrong? Why are you in hear?"

The last Fernandez looked up at him sorrowfully. " I saw you go to the gym....is Genki all right?"

"....I don't know. He's taking it very hard. Right now he is training with all his soul and power. His heart is sat on killing Rex."

".....It's all my fault....."

Ryan sighed, kneeling down next to the child, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Carrie, Lemon has already said this, but I'll repeat it. `It wasn't your faults....there is no point to play the blame game. It's Rex's fault...he was the one that.....raped her....it's all his fault.'

Carrie looked at her feet guiltily. " But Genki and Mimi must feel It's my fault......They probably hate me now..."

"Carrie. Lesson to me. They don't hate you. Heck, they love you, as if you were their child. I can see it on their faces, and I know Genki. With an over active mind like his he probably already has his little fantasy world where You, Mimi and him are all an happy little family. And I bet his little fantasy is still playing around in his head. So you see, Carrie, he can never hate you....Besides, if they could forgive me for what I've done, and may keep doing when I go....how did Genki put this...oh yeah...'Nuts.' They can certainly forgive you....but they don't have to."

"Why not...?"

"Because there is nothing to forgive you for, you did nothing wrong."

"....Ryan....I'm going to fight in the tournament tomorrow."

"No."

"Huh?" Carrie blinked by the harshness in his voice.

"Carrie feel Genki's pain....his tears....he complete anguish....right now he is trying to scrape up every scrape of his willpower to fight tomorrow...the want for revenge is shredding his soul into pieces inside. He needs to be the one to kill Rex, he and no other."

"But....I just wish there was something I could do."

"Then....." Ryan looked out the window, he could see the gym perfectly, where the light still beamed and the noise of flesh pounding into leather. " Believe in him."

" So....They are in Chi-lan....Lemon's having a child? I don't want to think bout that.....hmmm....Oh, so Rex raped Mimi and my dear cousin will be fighting in the tournament. Little fool, he's falling right into the trap and will end up getting his soul stolen." Keith smiled after the computer stopped giving him the information he needed.

"I was scared yesterday, Ryan, I sensed your death. I do have to be thankful to Genki for reviving you. Because, it really would not be fair to deprive me of my sweet, sweet revenge."

"Are you sure your doing the right thing, Lord Keith...?" Nagisa asked frightened, coming up behind him.

"You question me?" Keith narrowed his eyes at the girl, who took a step back fearfully.

"....N...No, of course not Lord Keith....But isn't it cruel to play with someone's heart like that....."

In a matter of seconds Keith had crossed the room and sent a slap to Nagisa's face, sending her falling to the floor, whimpering.

"DON'T QUESTION MY ACTIONS, EVER!!"

"I'm....I'm sorry, Lord Keith."

Heartlessly the dark one reached down, yanking Nagisa's short top off of her back.

"Make yourself useful, entertain me...." He purred, running his fingers up and down her milky white breasts.

"....But Lord Keith....No.....Please....." Nagisa cried out in pain and she clenched one of her breasts in a bruising grip of anger.

"You say no to me!?"

"....I'm sorry.....Lord....Keith...."

A smile touched the dark ones face, and once again he gently started to stoke her chest. Unseen or ignored by him, tears fell down the young girls face.

"Arisu....!" Nagisa sobbed, a few hours later, laying on the bed in their part of Taromecika's castle. The normally headstrong girl was stroking her sisters hair softly, in an attempt to calm her down.

"Master Keith....Why.....Why are you doing this? What is the point of this? We....We were always by your side, in the best and worse of times....why treat us like nothing now....? But still....no matter how much you push me away, I'll never leave you....Keith....I still love you...."

"...I love him too." Nagisa sobbed quietly, beginning to relax more. " I know we must be fools, but....I still love him too...."

Unknown to the two twins, Keith had been watching them threw the partly opened door. Clenching his fist angrily, he cursed to himself.

`Why? Why still, after all I've done to you? Foolish girls....just....go away and leave me alone......Please, just let me be.'

" I'm worried about Genki, he stayed up training all night long." Lima commented, sipping some coffee.

"....." Squall agreed tiredly.

"Hey, were is Lemon?" Mara asked, looking around for the boy.

"......Still tired...could not budge him out of the bed."

"Being with child, tires a body down....Mally needs `his' rest." Alex informed, just setting down at the table, only starring at the food and coffee like it was garbage and unfit for even the rats.

"I hope Mimi is doing better..." Ryan sighed, worriedly.

Carrie whimpered. " I checked on her, as soon as I got up....her health has worsened, she had fallen even deeper into the shock."

"Mimi...."

The voice startled the group and they turned to see Genki standing in the doorway, eyes misty and sad. His face was flushed and was slightly swaying from exhaustion. The group gazed at him sadly.

"....Even if I kill Rex...will....will it bring back Mimi.....?"

"Genki....."

"I don't need pity." The fiery fighter turned away, not wanting to face his friends concerned expressions. "I will find away, to bring back Mimi, but first I will kill Rex for what he has done. I'm leaving now to sign up for the tournament. Ryan....can you stay with Mimi? It would be safer that way...."

Ryan nodded, understanding what he meant, if Keith decided to show up at the battle, then....who knows what would happen.

"Can I stay with Mimi too....? I want to be by her side...." Carrie whispered softly.

Genki nodded, smiling sadly. " Of course you can, Carrie. Everyone else...I promise I will try my best."

"Hey...." Lemon smiled coming down the stares of the motel slowly, holding a hand on his slightly round stomach. " You think we will let you go alone? We are coming to cheer you on!"

"That Right!" Lima grinned.

"We just know you will win!" Mara encouraged.

The line up was huge, and they were waiting for almost an hour to get to the front. When they finally reached the ticket/resister booth they were greeted by a wrinkly blue skinned man, with green dotted skin and one huge eye in the middle of his face.

" 200 Gold for side B

500 Gold for side A" He droned tiredly.

"Um....five B tickets." Lemon asked, paying the man who soon turned his attention to Genki.

"And you? Ticket A or B?"

"....Neither, I want to fight in the tournament...."

The man laughed. " You!? ha, ha, ha!"

"WHAT'S SO FUNNY!?"

"Your just a boy, but fine then, come with me."

Genki followed him to a huge room inside of the battle arena, inside was a giant, and horrifying monster, with horns the size of tree trunks and as high as 50 feet.

"You see, we get so many participants each years, it's impossible to enter them all, so, only those who can beat MONTRO the ruler of the Chi-lan warriors! Only seven have made it so far. Do you think YOU can beat him, with your skinny body and your little arms, will can you!? CAN YOU!?"

Two seconds later.....

Montro was down and out of the battle, leaving the ticket master swallowing his pride. "Right this way."

The group sat in the seats, their view was terrible, but they could see enough to tell what was going on. The two first fighters were called out. It was an Org named Doug and an little boy, who looked like a demon, but not quite. Lima informed the group that it was an imp. The boy's name was not released.

"Welcome to the 2012 Chi-Lan battles!! The winner will get 35 000$ gold. We have eight contestants. Hear are the order of the matches.

Doug VS Unnamed.

Kim VS Genki

Camsa VS Green-gog.

Yuna VS Rex

The rules for the fight is as startled. You can win by either sticking an sticker of the authors picture on the opponent's forehead, or by killing them, or getting them out of the ring which is surrounded by boiling lava."

" What a rule...." Mara breathed in disbelief.

"Ok! Let the battle, begin!!!"

The orger swung clumsily at the imp child but missed every blow, as the kid continued to dodge every blow. Finally the child seemed to get bored of this `game.' and suddenly summoned a huge and very powerful fireball, melting the oger to a muddle of melted fleshy goo. The crowd cheered this victory, but the good guys were just grossed out.

Genki walked out onto the ring, a serious expression dawned his face, and seemed as if it had been made out of stone. He awaited his opponent, his face suddenly changed to slightly surprised expression, then to an angry one as he spotted Kim walk out onto the ring.

"What are you doing here?" He demanded icily.

"....We said that you were too dangerous to live, now would be the perfect time to kill you."

The fiery fighter growled, barring his teeth and standing in a fighting position.

"Listen! I have no intention in dying hear! I have Mimi's honor to get back, and I wont let anyone stand in my way. I'll kill anyone who tries to stop me."

"Then, what are we waiting for?"

Genki growled, before springing to action.

"Woah! How intense!!" Lemon exclaimed, with wide eyes.

"What on earth is Kim doing hear?" Lima blinked.

"They are mostly always around when someone's soul gets snatched...." Mara bit her lip nervously.

".....I knew this was a trap..." Squall commented, not sounding at all surprised.

"Then what are we waiting for!?" Lemon exclaimed. "We got to help him...!!"

"Enough, Mally." Alex silenced him with a cold stare. " He knows this is a trap...do not interrupt his fights. Let him have his honor. If you interfere now....he will never feel like his accomplished his revenge, it will slowly eat him away until not a speck of his soul is left. Let him do this on his own."

The intensity in the soldiers eyes were enough to make them all agree quickly, and turn their eyes back to the arena, all praying silently.

Genki moved out of the way of a punch to the head, and sent a judo chop to her waist. Kim grunted but returned the blow with her own attack, punching him on top of the head, sending him falling to the ground. He felt as if his skull was cracked open. Kim bent over gripping his hair in her hands, raising his head off the floor of the stone arena mercilessly.

"Is that all you got? It will be easy to kill you."

And with those words she smashed his head down on the floor. Genki groaned, feeling blood trickle down his forehead.

"....I wont die that easily...."

"What?" Kim gasped surprised, as Genki grabbed her leg, quickly pulling himself to his feet. He swung her over his shoulder smashing her into the ground, he then swung her back the other way, her body impacting with the hard stone floor a second time. After five swings he threw her up into the air.

"KAMHA!!!!!!" He shouted, sending an energy blast towards her.

"You wont win like this!" Kim roared. " DESTINY'S FORCE!!!"

The two energy attacks hit straight on. Both fighters on either side strained more and more power into the attack, after awhile however, Kim came out the victor and Genki was thrown backward by the blast. His friends gasped as they spotted him gripping to the edge of the arena for dear life, his body suspended over the boiling pit of lava. He could feel the boiling heat on his flesh, and his arms and face were becoming sticky with sweat.

"Am I going to die? I don't want to die....not without finally telling Mimi how I feel....."

He looked up weakly as Kim approached him, rising up her foot and bringing it down on one hand, leaving him dangling over the fiery pit with only a few fingers stopping him from falling to his death.

` No I can let it end like this....I must.....avenge Mimi.....I....I can't let them win!'

Kim brought her foot up to deliver the final blow that would send him crashing into the fiery flames below.

"I'LL NEVER GIVE UP!!!" Genki screamed, his body suddenly glowing with slivery-black light.

"This power!! What is this!?" Kim screamed, staggering back a few steps.

The whole crowd gasped as a pair of gray wings extended from Genki's back and he flew back on top of the arena, his eyes glowing sliver.

"....What the....?" Mara whispered.

"....Wings....more angel wings?" Lemon gasped.

The rest of the group just stared astounded.

"Mother...your angels are arriving..." Keith smiled, watching the battle go on in the crowd. "Everyone with a part of you in them has the wings of an angel to mark it...but for some it can only be revealed when they are put under extreme pressure. Cousin, are you angry? Will you give your life for * Her* that little fairy that has captured your heart? Hmmm....But I see you don't have the will to kill, this will be an interesting match."

"Gray wings!" Kim's voice shook, and she backed away.

Genki's eyes returned back to their normal brown, and he blinked surprised, turning around, gasping as he spotted his wings.

"What the hell...where did these come from? Or could be....Messiah....these wings are how you marked me isn't it?"

"You do have Saiyoua's blood! Those wings are proof of it!" The holder of destiny accused. "That is why I must kill you!"

" I don't care!" Genki spat. " I don't care if I have the power of evil running threw my veins. I know that I'm not like Saiyoua, or Keith or anyone on their side. I am who I am! So if you still want to kill me go right ahead!!"

Kim growled and turned away, closing her eyes to hide the rage inside of them. " I surrender. Go get your revenge for that girl, but next time I assure you, I will succeed in killing you. "

Kim walked out of the arena, leaving Genki to stare after her. ` You spared me yet again...Why? You could have killed me....'

"Kim...." Amy began, as she meet Kim outside of the arena. The boyish-girl ignored her until she laid an gentle hand down on her arm.

"That was a very nice thing you done...."

"....It was not compassion. It just not right to kill someone who is fighting for revenge for a love one....I'll kill him after he suceeds in getting his revenge."

The battle between Camsa and Green-gog was boring. Camsa was a pop idol and liked to sing, and Green-gog was a slime. Slimes, just being puddles of goo was not to hard to beat, and dispite the fact that Camsa did not look like he could fight his way threw a paper bag, won.

The next battle however was not boring...it was short, but horrible! Yuna, had been a young, blond girl. She was a good fighter but did not stand a chance against Rex. In a matter of moments he grabbed her by her two arms and ripped her apart like a rag doll. The vision was one out of a horror movie and one no one that was there to see it would ever forget.

`Rex I'll kill you with my own two hands!' Genki exclaimed, rage making his tremble all over.

` That's it, cousin, your hate brings use great power....the power to make mother stronger....continue to give into your dark desires, and soon you can be part of us, and so can Ryan....'

It was time for Genki to battle again and we walked out on to the arena and saw that he was up against the little imp boy. He did not want to kill a little kid....he couldn't....He would just try and get the sticker on his forehead. The child stared at him and wrinkled his nose, narrowing his eyes in a death glare.

"You know why I am in this tournament?" He asked in a bitter voice.

"....Uh....No...." Genki blinked, twitching one of his newly grown wings, still not use to them. "For the money...?"

"For revenge!"

"Revenge?"

"Against you!"

"Me!?" Genki exclaimed surprised. " But I never met you before in my whole life!!"

"FORGETFUL!!"

The announcer finally bored with all the talking looked over at this unnamed kids application and gasped.

"This just in! Our unnamed contestant is actually named Unko! And he is the prince of all Imps....and his father Kadian! The king of the imp race whom devours peoples souls!"

The crowd gasped in alarm.

Unko laughed. " Remember me now!?"

"....Actually....No....Why is it you want revenge on me?"

Unko was really mad now and started to wave his arms in the air in anger. " BECAUSE YOU SAID YOU WAS GOING TO KILL KADIAN!!!!"

".....I never even heard of Kadian!" Genki protested.

"LIRE!!!"

"....It's true...."

"Wait...let me read the story...." Unko grabs a copy of the book `Shadows Of The Goddess' out of no where and begins to read, suddenly he screamed.

"HEY!!! THE AUTHOR FORGOT TO WRITE ME IN!!!! HOW COULD SHE!? I WAS SUPPOSE TO BE ONE OF THE MAIN CHARACTERS!!!!!!!"

"............????"

" I WAS SUPPOSE TO SHOW UP IN CHAPTER 26!!!!! DAMN THAT STUPID AUTHOR!SO LAZY!!! ARGHHHHH!!!!!!"

"....I suppose that means you have no reason to get revenge on me..." Genki smiled nervously.

"....I guess so....but I'm going to kill you anyway."

"Why!?"

"Because...." Unko sniffed. " It's my role...."

The two of them get themselves into fighting positions, both had fire dancing in their eyes.....

It was a miserable and pointless battle....

Genki sighed irraitated. This kid would not give up....wait a minuet...a kid!! Suddenly Genki whips out a chocolate bar.

"Hey, want some chocolate!?"

The little imp cheered. "Thanks dude!" he ran up towards Genki who sent a blow to his head, sending him crashing to the arena floor.

"Your body shows your age..."

Unko frowns, rubbing his head. " I wont get careless again."

"I've Got Candy!" Genki exclaims, holding up a candy cain.

"Oh boy gimme!!!!" Unko cheers, falling for the trick yet again, and was knocked over the head yet again.

"Now for the finishing touch...."

"I wont fall for anymore tricks!!" Unko growled.

"I've got a video game!"

"Cool!! What game!?"

Genki sighed, sticking the `Author Sticker' on Unko's forehead, causing him to loose the match. The imp froze, eyes wide as he realized his stupidity.

"ARGHHHH!!! NO I WONT LOOSE LIKE THIS!!! LET THE BIRD OF HELL PECK YOU TO PIECES!!! MAWHAHAHAHA!!!!!"

"A BLACK MACHINE BIRD AS JUST FLOWN INTO THE ARENA!!!" The announcer exclaimed.

Genki just looked confused as it pecked at his arm, not even causing him to flinch.

"But....It's so small...." The announcer fished, dully.

"ACK!!! THAT'S THE LAST TIME I EVER BUY ROBOTIC BIRDS FROM THAT MACHINE GUY AGAIN!!!!!! I SHALL RETURN!! MAWHAHAHAHA!!!!!" Unko disappeared from the arena in a proof of smoke.

"That was pointless....." Genki commented dryly.

Rex's second match was a gruesome as his first, Camsa had his head neatly dispatched with one swift kick to the neck. Genki swallowed, taking a deep breath, his time for revenge was near.

"This is it...." Mara swallowed.

"Oh, I hope he wins...." Lima prayed, clasping her hands together.

"Come on Genki you can do it!" Lemon cheered.

"Lets just hope he can." Alex commented quietly to himself, his eyes fixed on the arena.

Genki could feel his blood boil with rage as he eyed, waiting for the first move. Suddenly, not being able to control his anger any longer he leapt forward, throwing a punch to Rex's face, but ended up getting a knee to the stomach, sending him teetering near the edge of the arena. He quickly regained his balance, using great speed he threw himself over Rex's shoulder, as the red haired man came charging at him, and sent a swift kick to the back of his neck. His kick hit, but Rex still had time to grab his foot. Genki let out a cry as Rex began to spin him in a circle, going faster and faster by the minuet. Suddenly he let go, sending him flying into the air. His friends and the rest of the crowd covered their eyes as they thought he was going to fall into the lava.

" I'm not going to die!" Genki exclaimed, extending his new pair of wings, keeping himself suspended into the air. He flew above Rex's head, sending three energy blasts below striking his enemy. Finally, finding flying was exhausting to much of his power he landed back onto the floor. Dust still surrounded the area in with Rex was hit, The winged fighter watched intently as the smoke cleared. What he saw was not what he was expecting. Rex did not even have a scratch.

"DAMN YOU!" Genki screamed. " TALCO BLAST!!!"

The crowd gasped in amazement as two beams of red light shot threw Genki's hands, striking Rex on either side of his body. At least this did some injury to the kick boxer...but to Genki's dispair, it was very little.

"....Why!? Why did you do that to Mimi!?" He demanded, tears of rage burning in his eyes.

" It was the only way to get you hear....Saiyoua would really like you to be part of our army."

Genki clenched his fist, shaking with anger. " You did that to her, just to get to me!? YOU BASTARDS!!"

Genki dashed forward, but because he was blinded by such hatred, Rex had an easy time counter attacking. He grabbed Genki by the neck and began to squeeze.

"Bad move....Getting emotional...." Alex commented, his expressionless face never changing.

" Ryan....Is she going to be all right....why.....wont she wake up?" Carrie asked sadly, squeezing Mimi's hand tenderly, tears dancing in her eyes.

The demon half gazed down with sorrow at the fairy-half who laid in bed asleep, sweat running down her face, every once in a while she would scream. Fever-dreams perhaps. She had gotten quite an high fever, probably caused by stress and shock.

"I wish I knew..." Ryan sighed, looking away, not being able to stain watching his friend in this position anymore. Carrie began to sob, allowing tears to hit the green fabric of her dress.

"I should be cheering him on...instead of hiding hear..."

"Huh?"

The tears began to fall from Carrie's eyes more rabidly. " I knew that you would be able to take care of Mimi yourself....but....I could not bare to watch Genki fight all by himself....when knowing it was partly my fault this all happened.....I was a coward...I ran....I hid from it all!! I could not bare it....I....I'm a coward....A damn, Fucking Coward!!!"

"Carrie...!" Ryan held the girl by the shoulders, to try and stop her from shaking. " Calm down, take a deep breath."

"NO!" The Fernandez screamed, pushing away from him. " I wont hide anymore!! I've got to go to the fight!"

"Carrie!" Ryan exclaimed as she ran out of the hospital. ".....I sure hope you know what your doing kid...."

Genki's friends watched in horror as they watched the fiery fighter get beaten mercilessly.

"That's it I can't watch anymore!!" Lemon cried, getting ready to fly into the ring, but was pulled back by Squall.

"Don't be foolish!"

For the first time ever, Lemon bared his teeth at him threateningly." And watch as our friend dies!?"

"Lemon, get hold of yourself, you can't fight like this!!"

But the Dampire would not lesson, and kept struggling against him. Angrily Squall sent a slap to his lovers face.

"Mauls get hold of yourself! If you fight now, you and our baby will die!!"

Lemon stared at him shocked. For one, being slapped, two for being called by his real name, and three, for being reminded of the fact that they were going to have a child together. He was at lost for words.

"Lesson to him, Mally. If you interfere now, Genki will never get his revenge, and his soul will never be at peace. Let him be the one who kills Rex." Alex spoke seriously.

"Yeah...but....your right...." Lemon whimpered as he sat back down in his seat, putting a hand to his sore cheek,

"You, ok? I didn't hit you to hard, did I?" Squall asked concerned. "Sorry."

Lemon shook his head. " It's all right....I was not thinking straight....but. Don't worry about me now....just worry about him...."

Squall failed Lemon's gaze to the battle field. " I am.....I am...."

Genki cried out as he received another punch to his face, he could feel hot blood pouring down his face, arms and legs. He hurt all over....his body was starting to give out. Rex grabbed his pony tail and picked him up by it, before tossing him onto the ground, were he gave many kicks to the stomach. For a moment Genki could swear his would die by choking on the blood that was pouring out of his mouth. Finally the blows to his body was stopped and he felt himself being picked up by the head, he screamed in agony as the hand tightened it's grip around his skull, squeezing his temples causeing them to bruise and bleed. More blood began to run down his face, it was so painful, and he was going numb from screaming, no longer aware that the faint screams his ears was allowing him to hear in the background was his own cries of pain. Finally Rex remove his hand from his skull, and grasped his shirt holding him up into the air. Genki breathed in air threw ragged gasps.

"You.....fucking....bastard......" Genki forced himself to speak....it was very painful.

Angry Rex sent a mighty kick to Genki's neck, sending him crashing to the floor of the arena, once bright and clear eyes turned dull and lifeless, as he laid on the ground, unmoving, face covered in a mass of blood. Everyone is the crowd held their breath, time seemed to stop.

"No!!" Lemon screamed, smashing his fists on his knees in anger and sorrow.

"....I....I can't believe it..." Mara gasped, trembling.

"He's dead?" Lima stuttered.

".......No....." Squall shook his head in disbelief.

"......." Alex turned away, unconcerned, it seemed like he did not even care.

Carrie ran as fast as her little legs could carry her, her side was aching and she was short of breath. Her pale cheeks had turned bright red, but she would not stop running. She had the feeling that something terrible was going to happen. She ran into the battle stadium, her eyes widening as she spotted Genki laying lifelessly on the arena, and Rex standing over him, covered in blood. Genki's blood...

"NOO!!!" The Fernandez screamed sprinting towards the arena. The crowd watched as she landed beside Genki's body weeping, tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Genki....Wake up....please....wake up...." She begged. " I'm so sorry, it was all my fault.....I'm so sorry...." She took his hand in hers as she continued to weep. The crowd watched the ongoing sadly, the hot battle had turned into a heart wrenching drama.

"Awww....how sad." Laura laughed as she appeared in the sky overhead. " But don't worry, he is not dead yet, we still have his soul to remove. Get out of the way."

Sobbing Carrie stood her ground. " No....I wont let you get away with this....you killed my family....you killed Kathy....you harmed Mimi and now...you want to kill Genki...You, Taromecika, Saiyoua, War, death, battles, power...I HATE THEM ALL!!!"

"Taromecika's forces were not the ones who killed Kathy. Did they not tell you?" Laura questioned mockingly.

Carrie's face turned chalk white. " What do you mean....?"

Laura's smile became wider. " Your own beloved friends, Ryan, Mimi and Genki, they were the ones that killed her, along with Keith, they battled her until she had barely any power left, and then they killed her."

The young Fernandez could feel her life crash down on her shoulders, she trembled all over.

`All this time....I was thinking that Taromecika's forces killed my sister....but all this time....it was Mimi....Genki and Ryan? They were the ones who....killed my sister?'

She fell to her knees, her tears rolling bitterly down her cheeks.

".....Carrie...." A weak voice mumbled behind her. Startled Carrie turned around, spotting Genki barely able to move, staring at her.

" YOU DECEIVED ME!!!" Carrie wailed.

"It's a lie..." Genki coughed up blood.

"Do you deny killing her? Do you lie?" Laura asked, enjoying the bittersweet events before her eyes.

" We killed her body....but Taromecika had already killed her soul....she was nothing but a body be manipulated by the forces of darkness. However, as she died, she snapped out of Taromecika's effluence. She.....she was crying....I did not know why then....but I know now.....she was crying from joy....joy that she would no longer stain her hands.....that, Taromecika would not longer use her body to kill innocent people with.....Carrie please believe me....." Genki hacked up blood as he spoke.

Carrie continued to sob, hiding her face in her hands.

"Do you honestly think she would forgive you? Now you have one more chance, join us, or I'll take your soul, Saiyoua will be well fed with your Magention!"

Genki only growled in response.

"I guess that gives us my answer. goodbye!!" Laura sent her soul snatch attack towards the weak boy, who could only stare helplessly as the attack headed straight towards him. Suddenly a figure stood before him, protecting him with it's own body.

"CARRIE!!" Genki screamed as the attack hit the child right on. The little girl's head titled back, a mute scream of pain driven towards the sky, as her soul crystal hung in the air above her. Weakly but quickly Genki dove under her, catching the last Fernandez in his arms as she fell backwards to the floor.

"Carrie! CARRIE!!" Genki screamed desperately, tears stinging his eyes.

"....Genki...." she mumbled weekly. " Take care of Mimi...alright....?"

"Carrie...." The fighter sobbed holding her close to him, his tears dripping on her pale cheeks.

"........"

Laura chuckled snatching Carrie's soul crystal in her hands before flying back up into the air, to stay safe from any attacks.

Genki looked up at Rex, eyes burning with rage. " You harm Mimi....and now because of you and your mother, Carrie is dead. But...as long as I can get her soul back from you...her life will be returned....and I'll take from you your life! But let me tell you something! YOU WILL HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER COMING BACK TO LIFE, YOU HEAR ME!?!?"

The whole crowd gasped as Genki began to glow again, with that strange half-sliver, half-black color. Laura screamed, covering her face as a burst of energy pushed her backwards.

"You!!" The Great L growled, charging up an attack.

"Mother, let me fight on my own." Rex hissed at her.

"But..."

"YAHH!" Rex exclaimed, creating a force-field around Laura, stopping her from moving.

"REX, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" She screamed, unable to get loose.

"....I must battle alone, he has every right to kill me, and he should have a chance to get his revenge."

"....Rex....!"

"YAHHH!!!"

"NO!! SON!!!" Laura cried pitifully, as the battle started.

Genki, still glowing with energy, placed Carrie safely outside of the ring and turned to Rex, eyes narrowing.

"This light is the light that gives me the power to protect the things that are dear to me. Only someone with pure innocence has the willfulness to protect their friends, even it means they must stain their hands with someone's blood!"

The crowd gasped in awe as Genki and Rex exchanged blows, so quickly most of their moves became a blur, even in the confined space of the arena. Both men were fighting with all of their body power and will power.

Genki sent a judo chop to Rex's side, but was to slow in moving away and was hammered by the bigger mans elbow as it slammed into the back of his neck. Genki hit the ground, and screamed as Rex threw his heavy self on top of him, and began to twist back his leg. The stress finally became to much for the bones to take, and the leg snapped like a twig. Genki titled his head back and screamed, the power around him intensifying, throwing Rex off of him. Forcefully Genki stood on his feet, his broken leg throbbing with intense pain, but he could not give up....No, he would never give up!

Genki took this time to deliver a punch to Rex's stomach, then his face, then to his stomach again, before grabbing him by the foot and hammering him into the ground. On the final throw Genki threw him up into the air, and sent a energy blast following him. The attack hit right on, causing Rex to cry out in pain and shock. Sprinting into the air above the falling, injured fighter Genki attacked with another energy blast from above, throwing Rex to the ground.

Genki landed infront of Rex, the giant was not moving, the energy blasts had made a hole go right threw his stomach, and the injury was filling up with blood. The crowd held their breath. Was the battle over? Genki, breathed a sigh and powered down. He did not have time to savor his victory however as Rex's eyes popped opened and he leapt at him. Genki tried his best to move out of the way but found the Rex was able to grab hold off one of his wings. The boy struggled desperately, but it was to no use. With one mighty thug Rex ripped one of the gray wings right out of Genki's back, blood gushing from the wound widely, Genki fell on to his back, screaming in agony. Everyone's eyes widened, even Keith's who still watched the battle silently.

`...The wings can never be healed....hmm, a one winged angel....how fitting for you, dear cousin.'

Genki slowly pushed himself off the ground, it had began to rain hard, the pouring rain washing the coating of blood away from his skin. He gazed up at Rex as lightning flashed in the sky.

"This lightning will be the perfect backdrop for your demise." Rex threatened, face hard and uncaring.

"Do you think that even if you kill me, this will be the end of it?

"Huh?"

Genki slowly stood to his full height, a trickle of blood running down his forehead.

"Even if I die, more people will fight against you. Even if you succeed in killing all my friends, more people will arise to defeat you and your masters. You see, there is no end to us!" The boy raised his hands to the sky, power began crackling around him. " THERE IS NO END TO US!!!!"

Power began to surround Genki, his whole body was glowing intensely from power, from energy...it was then they realized it. He was collecting energy from the very life source of the planet its self. The sprits of the life stream were working together with him to destroy the threats to the planet. Screaming in pain as his body absorbed more and more power, Genki titled his head back to the sky, he was so lost in the flow of energy he could no longer even feel the cold raindrops touch his skin.

"SOUL OF THE PLANET!!!!!" He cried out, the power burst from his body, blanketing the whole arena in energy.

People fled from their seats, in fear fore their lives, until the only ones left in the whole area was Genki, Lima, Carrie's body, Mara, Lemon, Squall, Laura, Rex and Carrie's soul crystal, even Keith had retreated back to headquarters, not interested in getting involved in Rex's and Laura's battle.

The energy disappeared, revealing that half of the arena had crumbled away, and Rex his who was bleeding from many wounds, blood trickling down his face, as he gasped for breath.

"REX!!" Laura screamed in panic, banging on the force-field the surrounded her, still not able to get loose to go to his sons aid.

Genki stared at Rex, eyes cold, his power died down and his began to approach the other.

"You have no power left, now. Give up. I may hate your rotten guts, and thirst for your death, but I wont end up dirtying my hands with your blood, because, that is what Saiyoua wants, isn't it? For me to dirty my hands by killing another human being...one that had not be corrupted and controlled by her power. By killing someone whose will was completely free.Killing because of my hate and anger. Well, I wont give up my innocence, just for revenge."

Rex bowed his head in defeat.

Everyone watched as Rex began to back up towards the edge of the arena.

" You came hear to kill me, for what I did to that girl. Why wont you?"

"As I said. I have enough willfulness not to give into hate. Unlike everyone else who obeys Saiyoua! All of them gave in to the darkness, and lost their souls. I wont become like them....Like you! But god help me, I'm really tempted to kill you right hear and now. So...just leave....before I can't stop myself any longer..."

"You really want me dead that much? You thirst for my blood, well...." Rex began to back up closer the edge, spreading his arms out.

"I WONT LET YOU DIRTY YOUR HANDS LIKE I DID, AND I WONT LET YOU OR ANYONE OF YOUR FRIENDS KILL ME EITHER!!"

Genki gasped shocked, and Laura just screamed as Rex threw himself over the edge, into the boiling lava below.

"REX!!" Laura cried, dashing towards the lava as the force-field that had bounded her disappeared. She was to late to reach her son and was forced to watch as he was consumed by the pit of fire. She flew up into the sky, above the group, eyes burning with tears of pain and rage.

"Does that fairy and that little girl mean so much to you?" She growled, forcefully wiping tears away from her eyes. "Then take it!"

Genki caught Carrie's soul crystal in his hands as Laura tossed in carelessly to the ground.

" Just like they meant everything to you, Rex meant EVERYTHING TO ME!! My hands has already be soiled...SO DON'T THINK FOR A MOMENT I WONT TAKE REVENGE ON YOU AND ALL OF THOSE YOU HOLD DEAR!! WE WILL MEET AGAIN, AND YOU WILL DIE!!!"

Genki watched as Laura disappeared, he remained staring up at the sky, letting the rain beat down on his skin, washing the dirt and blood away. Suddenly he became to weak to stand and staggered, before he even knew he was swaying, Squall had caught him before he had time to hit the ground.

"Genki!!" The Lima and Mara exclaimed together, eyes shining in concern.

"I'm ok...." Genki panted. "I'm just tired..."

"Woah...That was one huge fight, Genki. I'm so glade you survived. We'll get you to a doctor right away!" Lemon sighed in relief, for his friends safety.

"...Don't worry about Me.....give Carrie her soul back....before she dies permanently...." Genki said threw his pain, breathing heavily.

Alex took the soul crystal, unnormally gently and slowly held it above Carrie's lifeless form. The crystal went back into her body, and color returned to the child's face as she started to breath again, her breath coming out in soft ragged gasps.

Genki smiled. "Good......."

"Genki?' Mara asked worriedly.

"I....want to see Mimi...." The worn out fight muttered before passing out from exhaustion.

Mimi was still sobbing, all alone in the river of black water. " I don't want to be all alone...please....everyone.....I don't want to die all alone..."

Suddenly a bright light appeared in the field of darkness, gazing up towards it, she saw Genki staring back at her.

"GENKI!! Your back, you didn't leave me!"

The image of Genki before her opened up his arms and Mimi found herself running towards it, eyes shinning with unshed tears. But she was stopped as something grabbed his arm, forcing her back, turning around she saw her mirror snarling back at her.

"You can't go back there now....you've been spoiled."

"......Genki....Please....come and get me....." Mimi whimpered, unable to escape from the darkness.

Genki had woken up, a few moments after the group had reached the hospital. Everyone had left him alone to be at Mimi's side. He sat on the bed, holding the fairy-half's small hand within his own.

"Mimi...please you got to wake up...You can leave me alone hear....please, wake up."

The fairy-half did not even stir.

"Can you hear me...please, Mimi, answer me, give me a sign...any sign...Mimi.....I....I love you Mimi....so please....please wake up."

He tenderly leaned over, placing a soft and tender kiss apon her soft lips.

Mimi gasped as the area that surrounded her was blanketed in a bright light. Her twin screamed, letting go of her as the light engulfed them.

"This light...Is it....Genki?" Mimi whispered, the image off Genki was standing right before her know, holding his arms out to her, pleading with her to come to him. A smile appeared on Mimi's face and she ran into his arms, tears falling from her eyes.

"NO! You can't go back to him!" Her mirror screamed, pleadingly, but the real Mimi continued to run. Finally she reached his destination, and landed right into Genki's opened arms. The two of them embraced each other, and the darkness vanished.

Genki's eyes widened and pulled away gently as Mimi's eyes opened, staring weakly into his own.

"Genki.....what happened?"

The fighters eyes suddenly began to glow with tears and he began to sob, throwing his arms around Mimi in a gentle embrace. The fairy-half blushed, but slowly returned the embrace.

"Mimi....I thought....you were gone forever! Mimi.....! Don't live me alone again...please."

"Genki....I....."

"Please, don't speak right now....just....."

Mimi silenced him, with a small gesture of her hand, and whispered softly to him.

"I promise I'll never leave you, Genki...."

Genki wrapped his arms around her, holding her close, stroking her hair gently, weeping softly. His remaining wing disappeared, leaving gray feathers dancing around them, almost symbolically. Their pain had ended, at least for now, but the scattered feathers, that served to give him the power he needed to save the one he loved, will surely gather again someday, and they knew that they would have to be ready, but for now...all they wanted, was to remain close to the other, because the knew that next time, they might not be so lucky.
