The site that had awaited them as they stepped within the city was one that they would never forget. Genki sobbed loudly putting his hands on his ears desperately trying to muffle out the horrible voices, falling to his knees he cried loudly, shoulders shaking. Everyone looked at him in sympathy, after all, this nightmarish place was once his home and all these zombie like creatures were once his friends.

"Genki!" Mimi said sadly, dropping on her knees beside the boy whom continued to sob, burying his face with his hands. The fairy-half sobbed herself giving him an compassionate hug, rubbing his back much like one would do to an crying child. Though it was a method used for children it still felt good...but what felt the best was that someone was there to care. Still caring and now greedy for the need for someone else's shoulder to cry on Genki returned the hug, holding her close as they both cried. The sean was heart breaking, and unbearable to watch.

These were but the handful that was spared from being injected with Kamertion and becoming mindless dolls, and the few whom escaped being turned into heartless machines. It was terrible to look at their faces, even the men prideful and strong as some of them were, was just barely holding back the tears. Squall glanced to his left and spotted an young woman setting in the corner blinking back tears and trembling holding an crying baby close to her. He turned away from her and gazed down at Pan whom stared back up at him in his arms. Will his daughter be able to grow up in peace...or...he didn't want to consider any of the other possibilities.

"Miss.Lena, how is Bra doing? Any word on my brother or any of my other sisters? What about little Aria?" Genki asked worriedly.

"Bra is doing fine, but is really trying herself out. We only found one of your sisters...." The teachers face became really depressed. "She is not in good shape. It's Bra's place to tell you about Tenki, and about her..."

Well it's sort of hard to explain, but...well, if you look kind of at Magention, it's the soul and life incense of humans, right? Well, Kamertion is to the goddesses as what Magention is to humans, except with an few minor differences of course. This goo can be extracted from the body without doing harm to the goddess. If just injected into people, such as what happened to most of the people of this city that Kamertion kills off most of what makes the human mind function, making them like dolls. They can't think, or feel..." Bra shook her head sadly. " A man named Serge use to work with our science department, my mother told me that in the first war he collected some of Key's Magention, he removed all the goddess DNA and cells from it and created more and more of the stuff, he injected into people, he found that their emotions were weakened but they gained great power when ever they were able to feel an great surge of emotions. By removing the goddess DNA and cells the people injected did not become mindless slaves. I got to the point he got to, but I need to find away to kill off cells and DNA which are already infested inside the bodies, not only that but I need to figure out how to make it so the people are not left with any kind of powers or anything. That will just lead to chaos. Do you all understand?"

"I do." Alex spoke up. " I was injected with the Kamertion Serge made. The Kamertion gives me great power and transforms me into an slightly different form. Any little bit of Kamertion inside of you is like a virus waiting to destroy you."

I told you it was an car accident and it's not entirely an lie but....the breaks in the cars were cut, you were ten at the time that happened...somebody planned their murder. Tenki and I were grown ups by then, so lucky I was able to take care of both you and Keith but I never fathomed that Keith would become such an....such an beast." An look of sorrow flashed across her face. "Anything with that beast of an woman inside of them is an monster."

The woman quickly got up the chair and walked into another room, shutting the door behind her loudly.

"Bra..." Genki whispered sadly sounding hurt. Lena frowned at him sadly and rested and hand on his shoulder.

"Don't worry about it, she is still very upset about what happened to Angeles. She has turned her back on all of the goddesses on all belief in god, and she just can't bare the thought that you are part of something which she has grown to hate so much but don't worry, she'll never hate you she just has to accept it. She doesn't hate Keith either, you know. She still thinks of him as a son, just like she does you, but she can't help but feel that he has become a monster....I...I think so that he has sometimes too..."

"Hmmm....Lena could you take me to see Holly?"

"Of course."

Her eye brows furrowed as she frowned and stepped forward opening the door and stepping out in the kitchen. Her heart sank at the sight before her, Genki was setting at the table, face buried in his hands, shoulders heaving up and down as he cried bitterly. She had never seen him like this...he was always so optimistic, she never thought she would see him break down like this....it was depressing and it tore at her spirits. He was so upset he didn't even hear her approach behind him.

"I will make you pay! ICE LANCE!!" She ran forward extending her arms out creating an large ice dagger which blasted towards the Android. Birdman blocked it causing the ice to shatter, but was unexpectedly hit with an other attack

"DEMONIC CRYSTAL!!!" Carrie stomped her foot on the ground causing ice crystal to raise up from the ground under Birdman, trapping him inside.

"You think you won? What a joke." With an simple burst of energy the Android broke free from his prison and charged towards the girl, Carrie screamed throwing her hands infront of her face as she saw a fist, sparkling with energy coming down towards her. She awaited an painful blow but it never came, quickly opening her eyes she gasped, Squall was struggling to hold the androids arm back.

"I'm not going to let you hurt anymore of my friends."

Birdman's eyes went wide as Squall began to glow with an blue light and white an amazing amount of power threw him high up into the air, leaving him momentarily defenseless. Carrie closed her eyes, beginning to glow white with an inner light.

"You wont get away with what you've done to my friends! I'LL AVENGE COLT AND ALEX!!!" As though her power had given her wings she flew up into the air, the light engulf her body in a shield of power, Birdman screamed as suddenly the girl rammed and went right threw him, his head titled back in an silent scream as he crashed to the ground, body parts laying broken on the ground, looking alot like a crushed doll, with an sharp gasp for breath he picked the rest of himself up, all what remained was his head along with his two arms. His torso and legs were crushed.

Carrie closed her eyes, the power slowly disappearing from her body, slowly bringing her back to the ground. Squall caught her in his arms, and turned to the Android which was looking at them threw hateful eyes, slowly coming towards them.

"It's still alive...? Well, not for long." Squall frowned, laying Carrie down next to Colt where she slept silently with exhaustion from expelling so much energy.

"Take care kids, I'll finish him off for you." and with that he turned to Birdman.

The battle continued on the ground, the androids still being much a threat, they weren't machines...they were monsters, and up in the air the battle between the angels still continued, the androids were strong, and Keith was dangerous just like darkness it's self, but no matter how strong there opponents was none of them was about to give up, they would die before.

Alex groaned opening his eyes, gazeing up at the dark gray sky, he felt....shame and wounded pride. He closed his eyes sighing bitterly before getting to his feet, legs trembling with pain, the Magention factory was right ahead of him, he knew what he had to do...

"My mission...ugh...will be....completed." He staggered as he walked forward, blood trickling down his chin and forehead as he walked towards the building.

It seemed like forever but was really only a few minuets for him to get inside and take the elevator and go up to the top floor, the generator room. If he destroyed this it would cause the whole building to blow sky high, and destory this soul stealing machine. He would set the self-detonation timer to ten minuets that would give him enough time to escape and get far away before the building exploded.

"Yes, ten minuets should do it...hmmm, to think, before I would not care if I died or not, I wonder just what it was that changed my mind?"

"That's to bad..."

Alex jumped, eyes growing wide and he twisted around to stare in disbelief at the person behind him.

"Because, you will die anyway, it would have hurt lest if you wanted to die but, oh well."

The solider took a step backwards, gasping in disbelief and horror as the figure walked out of the shadows, if he wasn't strong he would have fell to his knees, but he was strong, but still that didn't take away from the hurt inside. Hurt, how long was it since he felt that?

"James...." He croaked out in pain, eyes dawning that same strange expression which Ryan had often noticed but could never explain.

"What happened to you, James?"

"That night I didn't die, after you left I was found by this man and turned into an Android just like Rita and Birdman."

"I now share the same hate for human kind as they. I understand now why they did what they did. Humans are terrible creatures, they aren't worth anything. The only thing that makes them different from common animals is that fact they have feelings, and is feelings all that great? Feelings is what makes them kill people, slaughter their own children, and feelings are suppose to be a good thing. But Alex, you learnt that feelings are useless so why not you become an Android like me, it will be fun, hanging out like old times again? Come on, you already abandoned your humanity by giving up your feelings, so why not give up that fragile human vessel?"

"Your wrong." Alex began, causing James to look at him startled. " Everything living thing on this planet has feelings and it guides us threw out our whole lives. The birds, the tress, the animals and humans, we all feel pain, fear, sadness, pity, and anger, we all lust for revenge, sure dark thoughts will always be with us, but there is not one creature on this planet who does not bare this darkness, but that doesn't mean we can't feel love or friendship, it doesn't mean we can't be innocent or pure, it doesn't mean we can't be truthful to ourselves, humanity has hope, and just because we can be rotten sometimes doesn't mean we don't know how to be kind. Our faiths and destiny's can be what we choose, we don't only have to embrace the darkness or the light we can embrace both sides, don't you understand, that's what makes humans, and James, you may not understand anymore, your not even James anymore, but I'm human, I'd rather die before giving up my humanity." Alex stared intensely into James's eyes. " And so would James, James would hate what you are, so for his sake I will kill you and let his soul rest in peace!!"

James growled in rage, clenching his fist which sparked with energy. "You choose your faith, now die human!"

Alex dodged an energy beam which blasted over his head, it missed him and rammed into the generator system, not destroying it, but doing damage. The battle was almost is slow motion, if there was one battle up to this point in his life that would really count for something this would be the one.

They exchanged blows, James was not really that strong for Alex was able to match him even in his weaken strength but the emotional pain took the place of physical. Alex was finally over powered, and crashed to the ground, James was on top of him beating him. He allowed himself to think back as he bleed, being beat to death, think back to the good days with James....with the real James.

"Just let me die, James...." He had begged, when he had tried to kill himself a second time, but was caught by James before he could sink the dagger threw his heart.

"No, there is nothing more important then life in this world. You can't throw it away so easily."

"Can you call this life? Is this how *Life* Is suppose to be? All pain and suffering. Nothing but tears and pain?"

Alex's eyes shimmered, as he gazed up at the monster that James had become, living with pain and suffering was still living, but being an machine...being something that could not feel anything but programmed hate and anger...could that really be alive?

James sighed. " To transform into that being....it pays a heavy cost. It takes away all your humanity....Your emotions....your feelings....your heart.....your soul. It's a heavy toll to pay for the power."

"But....you don't seem changed at all...." Alex trailed off confused.

"Really? That is because, I was not experimented on as much as you. You have a lot more of the substance that causes the transformation in your body. If you were to change, you would loose all humanity, can you pay the price."

"I'm sorry James..." Alex suddenly said causing the Android to look at him startled. " I did let you down didn't I? I was just like a machine but you never were James, and I wont let you stay one, I'll free you James, my brother!"

The Android gasped startled, jumping backwards in fright as the solider suddenly glowed green, looking at him with that still odd expression in his eyes, he dashed forward, striking James in the chest. The machine cried out in pain as suddenly with damage done to his machine body he caught on fire and began to burn. The light from around Alex's body vanished as he watched the Android burn, the pain inside was hard to describe, as the Android burned, it was once James....once someone who was one of the only people to treat him kind...one of the only people he learned to love, he was now being reduced to ashes. But what was burning was not James anymore...no, it was James, his soul was now free, but it still hurt inside. It was an bitter aching pain in his heart, he forgot how hard it was to feel pain, but thinking back to what James had become, loosing all his feelings he welcomed the pain no matter how much it hurt. He closed his eyes shut, allowing an tear to slid bitterly threw his closed eye lids before doing an solider salute, one he would often do in the army before taking his gun and throwing it into the flames, he watched as they melted together, James and the gun...the gun which he took so many lives with, the thing which every solider carried around with them, he was not a solider any more, but he would still complete his final mission, not for duty or justice, but for Gaia.

He walked over to the generator, that expression dawning in his eyes once more, the timer was busted from when James's blast had hit it, to destory this factory the self detonation would have to be pressed by remote. He picked up the little remote which laid behind broken glass on the generator, and turned to the balcony walking out onto it, staring out at the sky where the angels battled and then at the ground at his friends whom still fought a battle against the androids.

Out of the glimpse of his eye Ryan caught a sight at Alex standing on the balcony gazeing at them fighting below.

"ALEX!!" he exclaimed causing all the fighting to stop and everyone followed his gaze, watching Alex whom stood from high above watching them, Ryan gasped seeing that strange expression in his eyes, suddenly horror wrapped it's icy feelings around his heart.

"ALEX, DON'T....!!"

The ex-solider closed his eyes. " It's time to put my pain to rest." His finger pressed the self dedication switch. "Mission completed."

Everyone watched in shock as the whole factory lit with light before explodeing into a ball of fire. Alex's body was tossed backwards, crashing into the ground were it laid unmoving, a puddle of blood formed underneath his limp form, his eyes were empty and glazed over...they were the eyes of the dead.

"He just..." Birdman began. "He just blew up the factory...."

"He sacrificed his life with out a second thought." Rita gasped.

Squall stared in shock at the corpse laying on the ground. "No....No!!"

"ALEX!!" Lima sobbed burying her face in her hands, Mimi fell to her knees hitting the ground with her fists.

"Why!? Why!?"

Carrie sat on the ground near Colt, trembled trying to contain her tears but suddenly burst into tears.

"NOOOO!!!!"

"I don't believe it, Alex!" Genki screamed with tears in his eyes staring down at the unmoving body.

Ryan was shaking all over, pale and shocked. `That look in his eyes....I saw it a lot before...I know what it was now...what it meant....all those times Alex....all those times you where trying to hold back the tears.....' he forced himself to look into his empty eyes which stared towards the sky, suddenly anguish over took him and he titled his head back to the sky, an golden energy escaping his body.

"ALEX, NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He screamed, the light flooded the whole area, destroying Rita and Birdman, Keith cried out shielding himself before turning to Genki and hissing.

"I wont attack you in a position like this, but this battle is far from over, next time."

The dark angel took off into the sky leaving the Angel of light alone to grieve.

Saiyoua screamed, clutching her chest as she felt her power drain as the Magention of all the people the were killed escaped back to the life stream. She fell to her knees growling in rage.

"I wont let them win!! They will pay for this!"

"Damn you Marie-Maya, when I get the goddess stone I swear I'll destory you!!"

The androids had been killed in the energy given off by Ryan's anguish, the boy was now back in his original form, setting beside Alex's body, cradling his head in his arms as the rest of the group watched with bitter tears.

"Breath Alex, Breath! Please!!" Ryan's eyes filled with tears and he began to sob bitterly, clenching his fist. "Alex....ALEX!!!"

But all the crying in the world would not make him answer.....Alex was dead.
