The Legend of the Rings:
The Fellowship of the Ring
Author's Note: I know everyone reading "Cell's Breakout" right now are gonna kill me for starting a new fic, but get over it! I had to get this idea out of my head to continue the other story! Anyway, here's the first chapter-which isn't long-because I need to see the movie again...I forgot a bunch of stuff...*sweatdrops*

Link slowly came to a stop, panting.
He collapsed to his knees on the grass-covered forest floor, and wiped the sweat from his forehead with the back of his gloved hand.
"That's...the fourth time...those Skull Kids...ambushed me...today...!" he growled through breaths.
It was true, too.
Ever since Link awoke from his long sleep in the Sacred Realm and returned to the forest that was his home, it was one nightmare after another-the Kokiri in hiding, monsters wreaking havoc throughout the whole forest, the Skull Kids' furious attacks on him whenever he came into their sight because of his older form, and not even able to find his best friend, Saria.
"...And now, I'm supposed to find the Forest Temple in these blasted Lost Woods, which I can't make heads-nor-tails of!" Link sighed in exasperation.
"Oh, it's okay, Link," Navi, his guardian fairy, said, "we'll find it soon! I can feel it!"
Link gave a curt snort, getting to his feet, and quickly ran his fingers through his long, golden bangs, which were dangling over his deep violet eyes.
"You know," said Link through a deep yawn, "I think we should take a break."
Navi fluttered her wings indignantly, sighing. "I would've thought that you wouldn't need any, seeing as how we slept away seven years of our lives in the Sacred Realm."
"Well, I guess you thought wrong," Link replied, walking toward a shady spot underneath a tall, thick trunked tree.
Navi followed, bouncing lightly through the air behind him.
Link lowered himself down and sprawled out among the high, sweet smelling grasses beneath the tree, cupping his hands underneath his head.
His light blue fairy glided down into the grass next to him, fluttering next to his long, pointed elfin ears.
"Good-night then," she said, and flew into the densely leaf-covered branches.
As Link felt himself drift off into slumber-whether he was already dreaming or hallucinating, he didn't know-he heard whispers float along the breeze...calling out to him...
Another world cries...evil is upon them...the rise of a dark lord...destruction is near...you are needed, hero...Frodo...Baggins...calls for thee...
