Chapter one: Legends

"You cheater!" Laughed a tall blond teen aged girl. Her skin was fair with clear blue eyes and pointed ears. She had on a long flowing light blue dress that shower her shoulders, on her head she had on a tiara the proof she was part of the Royal Family. And she was, she was Princess Zelda of Hyrule.

Hyrule was a great Land with a good honest king. He treated his people with respect and helped out as much as he cold with the regular towns people. If someone need a bit of extra money for food or water, he'd give it to them. He kept the peace between the, Gerudos, Gorons and Zora's. Talk of war was ever started in the voices of the people. War was a thing of the past and the King made sure it would stay in the past. If ever there was a slight trouble, he would not send anyone to it. He's do himself. The people loved and respected the king and they encouraged their kids to grow up and be like him. A Wise strong Leader. But there was only one person in all of Hyrule that they loved more then the king, and that was his only daughter Zelda.

Zelda had will power. Even when there was no trouble about, she'd go out with his escort just to have normal chats with the people. She'd travel to the Zora's home, Gorons and sometimes the Gerudo's. To offer her assistance. If a house was to be re-build, she'd try her best to help, and not get in the way. She knew when it was not the right time to talk, and when she should not butt in. Zelda also knew, how to have fun, to tell jokes, make people laugh. She had the one thing, most of the kings and queens of the past did not want to have, the gift of laughter.

"I did not Cheat!" This time a teenager boy said laughing as Princess Zelda grabbed a hold of him. The two fell over onto the soft lush green grass. The Boys name was Link, he had blond hair and blue eyes as well, but he had on a dark green hat and a long green shirt that went past his waist and almost to his knees. Then in his ears, were hoop earrings and right next to the hoops he hand another earring that was a simple small sliver ball. Across his waist though was as brown belt. He had on white pants and a white long sleeved shirt under his green one. Not to Far away was a wall and leaning against it were Links sword and shield. Then grazing in the grass was Links Horse Epona he had received form and old friend of his.

Link as not part of the royal family. But he was just as much respected as the King a Princess. He had saved Hyrule from the destruction of Ganon. He was their Hero. If the princess of king was not around they'd call for him. Though he could not buy them much, he was strong, brave and easily could lighten the mood or a tense situation. He was on of Zelda's escorts and extremely good friend with the Queen in training. When they met, when he was around nine years old, he showed her the lighter side of life. And gave her the love of the people, laughter. There was hardly a moment when the two were not together, or joking around. They liked to have races, paint, he even though her the right way to hold a sword.

Zelda was frightened at first to met the Gerudos. A tribe of women with large attitudes. They were among the greatest fighters and could steal anything from under your nose. They were pirates, or bandits, they did not mind being called either. Link had been the first male to be-friend them and gain their trust. The Gerudo's were not to fond of men, but Link and the King they could handle. When Link had taken Zelda to met them, they poked fun of her. Link nor Zelda had told the Gerudos she was the princess. Zelda wanted to see how she would be treated outside of a princess. She learned the hard way.

After Zelda's first encounter with the Gerudos, she never wanted to go back, they had made such fun of her she almost cried. But Link pushed her back up and dragged her back a few weeks later. Zelda still had not told them she was a princess. She had requested training from the female bandits. The training was extremely hard, Link learned a few new pointers himself, but Zelda managed to make it threw every thing the Gerudos threw at her. It might have taken a few times but Zelda did it.

After Zelda had completed every task, the Gerudos gave her their highest appreciation. They made her one of them. (Link was the only male to become a Gerudo member) Faltered, and extremely happy Zelda started to respect the Bandit woman. And only then, did she tell them she was the Princess. The Gerudos were extremely shocked. But it only made them respect her more. Not because she was a princess, but they never though, so a frail girl as Princess Zelda could complete their tasks.

"You did too!" Zelda said all gigilish, as they sat back up. The two had been racing and Link took a short cut across the wall. Though Zelda did not care that Link beta her, she just enjoyed teasing him. Link was the only person Zelda put so much trust into. With out him she'd be sitting up in the Throne room with her father looking pretty. She was spoiled yes, because she was the only princess, but she was not a brat. Thats one trait Zelda did not hold.

"All right you win," Link smiled, fixing his has as Zelda kicked off her shoes. The feel off the soft grass between her toes after a race was quite refreshing. She then looked down at her hand, on her had there was an imprint of a Triangle on it, not any normal triangle but it was part of the Triforce. She had received the part of Wisdom, and Link had the same but his was for courage. The last piece of the Triforce was power. But Link and Zelda had to seal away the holder, Ganondorf, he was now trapped in the Chamber of time, where they both hoped, he'd stay.

The Tirforce was the balance of Hyrule, it was there symbol. The great goddesses Naura, Din and Flure. Had left the Triforce there as a Symbol for the people of Hyrule to remember them by. The Legend was told that who ever held the Triforce would be the greatest leader of Hyrule. But Ganon(short for Ganandorf) only wanted the Triforce for the power and to rule and destroy Hyrule. Such evil intentions, the Triforce was split into the three parts and went to a different holder.

"Hey Link," Zelda said as she pushed her golden hair off her shoulders and climbed to her feet. Zelda was not one to keep sitting around all the time. She liked to move around. See everything she could in one day.

"What is it?" Link asked, the first thing that popped in his mind was something was troubling the young queen in training. He still called her young even though they were both 19 years of age. He had a thing to jump to a sort of conclusion every time she said `Hey Link.'

"Well I was thinking, before it gets dark, do you want to go to the Kokiri Village?" Link was raised in the Kokiri village by the great Deku tree. Those were the days when he first met Zelda, when he was told to take the Forest Spiritual stone to her. Unlike the rest of the Kokirichilden Link grew up because he was born out side the forest. He did not like to go back a see them, because he was not one of them and they though it was weird for a grown up to enter their village. He was not a little boy anymore.

"Thats why Zelda brought it up. She never got to go there with Link. She got to go there a few times with her nanny and keeper, Impa. She loved the big talking tree and messing with the Children. But the thing she loved the most about the forest were the small fairies.

"Zelda..."

"Please," Zelda grabbed his hand and tried to pull him up to his feet. "Saria and the rest of them, would be pleased to see you again!"

"Why don't we go to the Lon Lon Ranch instead," Link suggested, he knew how much Zelda loved the horses and the Cucco's. Also the long ever boring chats Link could never get into between Zelda and Malon, the Daughter of Talon who owned the ranch. Thats where Link had got his trusty horse from. Though he had to go threw bloody hell to own the horse. But all the same, he liked the Lon Lon Ranch himself.

"We went yesterday...and the day before and the day before that," Zelda said not giving up on trying to get him to his feet. It was true, sence they were both found of the ranch. It seamed to be either, their meeting place, or just a place to have fun. And have long conversations.

"How about the Gorons?" Link suggest. The Gorons loved link, The king of the Gorons, was very found of Link and called him, `his brother'. The Climb up Death mountain was hard, dangerous and had a bunch of giant Spiders wondering around. Then on top of that, the Gorons ate rocks, so if they ran out of food on they way up, they'd have nothing to eat.

"No! WE don't have enough time to go up there today!" Zelda protested, as she got a better grip on Links hand. She tried again to yank him up, but he did not even budge. She went threw all the training but she still could not get Link to his feet when he was not willing. She was starting to wish that, that has been on of the Gerudo's test.

"Zora's? I head the beach is nice this time of year?"

"No! Ruto still wants to marry you, so soon you forget," Zelda said, they only person who Zelda did not like was Ruto. Saying because Ruto disliked Zelda. Not enough to kill or start a war with her or her father. It was just that they both were in love with Link. And the truth of the matter was, when Link went on his quest to saver Hyrule. He was young and knew of nothing outside of the forest. So when he got the spiritual Stone of the water, Ruto, the Princess of the Zora's explained to him she would only give it out to man she would marry. Like an engagement ring. But sence he did not know what marriage was or an engagement ring he said okay and took the stone.

Princess Ruto, who is now, Queen Ruto still holds Link to that every time the go see the Zora's. But Ruto respects that he only took it to save Zelda and how much he cares about her. So she does not rub it in to much. And such she does not want any trouble with Zelda in fear of losing Link.

"Oh, yeah...lets not go there, The mum...how about the Kakariko Village, lets go See Impa!" For the time being Link lived in the Kakariko Village. He lived in Impa's old house. Sence the King did not want Link to have over night parties at the castle he said he could live there. With Impa's permission of course. However, Impa would not have minded either way because she lived in the castle and her home was for travelers with no where to stay.

"Link she's at the castle," Zelda reminded him, then tried again, she had learned not to give up, and she was not about to.

"Zelda, I can't go back..."

"Suck up your fears and lets go! Link! please please please!" Zelda realizing she could not pull Link up tried the best next thing she knew how to do. Beg him to do it. She got back down to her knees and looked him in his eyes. "Please Link, for me." Zelda did not like to resort to begging, but if she continued to try and pull him up, they'd be there all night. And she really wanted to do something before she had to go back to the Castle.

"Zel-"

"Please."

"But-" Before he could Finnish she leaned over and kissed him gently on his cheek. His face blushed red as he tried to say something else. Zelda smiled slightly realizing she just might have convinced him to go with her.

"Please, Link. Just this one tiny winny little time? Please," She added just to make sure he fell into her tap before she locked the door.

"I never though I'd see the day when Princess Zelda has to beg for Link to go somewhere," The two jumped slightly as they heard the ruff but kind voice of Zelda's nanny, advisor, trainer and friend, Impa. Impa stood above them with a large smile across her face. Impa was tall, skinny, extremely strong with white hair. She had protected the Royal family for years now, her and her people called the Shika's.

The Shika's were another tribe of Women but they were not as feared as the Gerudo bandits were. The Shika's had add mazing power, the could control magic and were extremely good fighters. It was said long ago some Gerudos broke away from being bandits and living the life of crime to becoming Shika's. But that happened hundreds of years ago.

Also there were not Shika tribes in Hyrule, which backed up the idea of Gerudos splitting up. They were located in the kingdoms of Luynnian and Parcitica. Thats why seeing a Shika in Hyrule was a big deal, and having one protect the Royal family and the country was a honor. Saying they were more trust worthy and kind then the Gerudos.

"Hi Impa!" Zelda said jumping to her feet yet again, but this time it was to bow to Impa. It was a high respect to do that. And being a Princess she though she should be the one doing it. Zelda loved Impa like the mother she never had and tried every way possible not to upset her.

"No need to be formal Princess, your fathers no where in sight," Impa placed a friendly hand on Zelda's shoulder as she looked down at Link. He then jumped to his feet and bowed to Impa as well. Impa laughed at his late reaction. But she did not expect him to bow to her either. Most of the time the only one he would get down on his knees too, were The King of Hyrule, Queen Ruto and the King of the Gorons. Because the Gerudos were kill anyone who got down and bowed to them. They hated it.

"What brings you all the way out here Impa, Really I was going to come home before dark today-"

"Well Your father request you come here early Princess, also He wanted me to drop this off to the Great Deku tree," Impa pulled out a small wrapped package. It package was crinkled and looked as if they had been in Impa's pocket for a while. "Seedlings, we had no room at the castle, and he thought the forest would be the best place to put them."

Every time they over bought something from the other countries spread across the world, the leftover plant seeds would go to the Forest. It make the Great Deku tree happy. And nothing felt more better then seeing nature happy.

"Oh thats great! We were just heading over that way!" Zelda smiled happy, know she knew Link would have to go. Impa had her ways of getting what she wanted. She was only the strongest person in all of Hyrule. But Impa felt it was her need to protect the Royal family, so she hardly left the castle, and put up a fight when she had to.

"So thats what the begging was all about, Link you never change," Impa smiled as she grabbed hold oh his shirt caller. Impa had the power to read minds. Something only a very wise. powerful, courageous Shika could up-taine. So sometimes with out realizing it she could hear what others were thinking. But when she wanted to know a days worth of information from a person she'd wave her hand and the person would get a strange tingling feeling in their spine. "Lets go Princess."

"Hey! This is not how you treat-"

"The Hero of Hyrule, Boy I'll treat you how ever I like," Impa smirked as she started dragging link along. Impa would have to drag Link every now and then. Most of the time it was to get him to go to the royal Parties. They had to be the most boringest things on the planet. But sence he was one of Zelda's protectors he had to go.

Zelda smiled as she walked over and picked up Links sword and Shield before running after Impa and Link. These were tow things of Links she was not about to leave behind. Link Kept then both clean and well kept. They were worth a lot of money and, anyone could take them. So sence Impa had gotten Link to Go Zelda though it would be nice of her to carry Links belongings.

Epona just watched them leave and kept grazing in the grass, the horse did not like to do things it did not have to. Impa would tease Link about his choice of a horse. But the Epona always came when Link or Malon called. And that was about it.

The three walked towards the forest entrance. It had to be the easiest out of everything in Hyrule to find. Not only was it the most beautiful entrance to anything. With it's roses, poppies, bushes lush trees surrounding it. But it was the only forest in Hyrule. And after walking threw flat, green grass you tend to notice the largest thing in sight. Which were the trees.

The sun was falling slowly and Impa knew she had to get Zelda home before night fall or her and Link would be yelled at by the King. The King was not over protective of Zelda, he would just like it if she was home before the skull kids came out. Skull kids were not really the living dead, they were just bones with sprits. They were very dangerous though, so no one went out on the Hyrule filled at night unless they were either training, a fast runner or plane stupid. And even thought the King said Link had all those threats he did not want his only daughter in any type of danger what so ever.

As they got to the entrance an image shot threw Impa's head, it was a warning she let go of Link and looked around. Impa got warnings every now and then. More often when she was in any type of danger. Link not seeing Impa's face fixed his shirt and rolled his shoulders trying to loosen up a bit.

"Whats wrong?" Zelda asked, being around Impa all her life she knew when Impa's felt something was wrong, and sence she had not been dragged along she noticed it unlike Link, the sudden expression change on Impa's face. Zelda then handed Link his sword and shield just in cause there was a threat anywhere near, he would need them more then Zelda would, in Hyrule that was not to unlikely to happen, especially at night. The Skull kids were the only ones the king could not make stay out of trouble.

Even though the Skull kids could not come out at in the day time. Zelda just felt that annoying, stupid and powerful energy around. Zelda could feel the presents of others around she did not know, because the close ones she loved and cared about became a part of her.

Impa motioned for them to stay back as she walked forward a little eyeing everything making sure nothing was un searched. Then Link got the same strange feeling, once he had himself situated again. But he stayed by Zelda, because if any harem would be done today he kind of guessed it would be aimed at her, because she was a Princess. Zelda who was a little lost at this time just stayed close to Link, looking behind her back every now and them to see if anything was coming.

"Do you hear it?" Impa asked softly, braking the silence that they fell into.

"No," Link replied, not even knowing if he was spouse to hear anything. He griped tightly on to the handle of his sword as he looked up at the closest tree to them.
"Thats right," Impa said, as she looked up at the same tree Link's eyes locked on. She narrowed her eyes as if she could see threw the branches and Leaves. To see what was up there.

"There's no wind but that tree moves," Zelda pointed out, even though it was quite obvious to the eye that some of the branches were sawing back and forth. It was like a giant cat was up in there getting read to pounce.

"That means someone...or something is up there," Link said and Zelda got a sweat drop on her head. She might not be as strong to keen into movement but she was not that stupid.

"I know that Link," Zelda said with an weird tone in her voice.

"All right, come down from there, we know your up there," Impa said and the tree stopped moving. Tapioca for someone to stop moving when they know they are spotted. "Not going to work we already-"

Before Impa could Finnish she was kicked in the back as someone appeared out of no where. Impa skidded on the dirt and hit a tree as Zelda let out a small shreek. Who ever had kicked Impa disappeared again and they had a funny feeling it was what ever was in the tree. Link started looking around more sharply, the person could appear anywhere again. He tried to keen in his senses but what ever it was, was moving extremely fast, knowing Link was trying to lock on it.

"Impa!!" Zelda yelled, as Impa got to her knees and tried to locate the moving power as well.

"I'm all right, that person has to be-"

"A Shika," The Person reappeared but this time the person kicked the kind of un expecting Link, he managed to block the blow to the side with his shield but the Impact was so strong from the kick it made him fall over. Zelda jumped back as the masked person turned towards her. Impa jumped to her feet but the Shika helped out their hand to indicate Impa not to move.

"Princess-" Impa started and was about to jump after this Shika to their surprise, the person bowed to Zelda then got down on one knee. Zelda was so relived she though she was going to faint. What a way to make an entrance. Zelda's knees felt like slime and she wanted to lay down, but she dared not to move.

"Such it is a great honor to finally meet you Princess Zelda," The Shika said, still down on it's knees. Zelda gasp as the voice of this Shika ran threw her ears.

"Your a man," Zelda said this was another shock, she had never seen a Male Shika before. She always though it was a tribe of women, which she knew it was. But then, their code was not to train men to be one of them. The present of this male Shika was very strange.

"Yes I am, your highness," He said as then took hold of her hand and kissed it gently as a means of respect for her.

"How can you be a Shika?" Impa asked, the man stood up and turned towards Impa. He knew it would only be a matter of seconds he was asked the questions once he told them he was a Shika.

"Great Impa and, The Hyrule Hero failed to protect their Princess. I was expecting much more for the two of you," He said as he pulled over the mask her had on to show his face. He defiantly was a male. He had dark brown hair that could hardly be seen because of the cloth wrapped around his head. His eyes were green, the sparkled in the setting sun, Link and Impa knew he was not going to do anything else.

"Well were sorry Mr. Invisible," Link said, Zelda ran over to him and Helped to his feet. The Man looked at them with a discussed looked the looked back at Impa. His power was great but Impa knew if there was a battle to take place between the male Shika and herself. The outcome would be in her favor. She was much more experience and did not rely on the power or transporting ones self around like that.

She would have had a good lock on him, He gave her an unexpected blow and she was not about to let him do that again. Hardly anyone got a hit on Impa. Thats why she got the title `Great Impa'.

"Look, Mr.-"

"Karzon."

"Karzon, who sent you here and why?" Impa asked not in the best of moods, she did not want to try and figure out why he was here. She wanted to him to tell her. Impa pulled out her pony tail in her hair and started to brush her hair with her fingers. It was her to show she was the superior on in the battle. It was just a habit of hers to brush her hair after a fight. Even though this one was so short.

"I came myself, to protect what you two could not," Karzon said, Impa pulled her hair back up. That comment Karzon said was to much. Link I was about to jump at him if Zelda had not been in the way. Impa did nothing, but the fire inside her burred ever so brightly.

"Zelda is in the best hands she could be in," Link yelled and Zelda hugged him not wanting him to attack Karzon. Just In case her being there was not enough to calm him down. Even Zelda thought that comment was a little off. Even there was really nothing she needed to be protected over for a while. But she was sure Impa and Link would never let anything happen to her.

"Link please calm down," Zelda pleaded "Nothing to bad was done."

"Karzon I do not know what Shika tribe you came from but where I'm from you treat your noblemen and or women with respect," Impa said, her tone was harsh and harmful. It was hard from being treated with respect then all so suddenly someone out of the blue insults you. Impa tried to stay as cool as she could but she was finding it to be quite difficult. Karzon, got down on his knee again and bowed his head in the respect of Impa. He knew the comment was one not to say to high nobles but he felt it has to be said.

"I'm Sorry Great Impa- - I am from your tribe, Kalzon, I am just worried about the safety of Princess Zelda, please do understand, I did not mean any ill will," Karzon said still with his head bowed. Impa looked over at him. She squinted her eyes slightly to read what was ever on the top of his mind at the moment. His words were true.

"What would make you think Zelda is no in good care?" Link asked putting his sword in it's sheath, not being able to read minds he could not find out what Karzon was worried about. Zelda wanted to know the answer to that question as well. Impa walked over to Karzon and pulled him to his feet, he was not about to answer Links question, and Impa knew it. Though she had just read a little of him, she felt the anger. A Strong anger from Karzon aimed at Link.

"What do you have against our Hero?" Impa asked impatiently and Karzon looked over at Link then back at Impa. "Answer me boy I have not time to play, play time ended a long time ago...if you don't think you have an obligation to answer me, I'll be willing to take matters into my own hands."

"Nothing Great Impa-"

"You lie, don't lie to a more experience Shika, I not only felt it but I read it, now spill it," Impa said as she grasped the shirt collar of Karzon.

"I was sent here to Protect the Princess, As a Shika you should know the legend Great Impa, some one is going to try and awake the one who has been lost. I fear he is not enough to Protect her," Karzon said and Impa looked at him sharply. She let go of him, with the instant, Zelda and Link knew he was not lying. Impa was not about to let go of someone who she felt was lying.

"The one who has been lost, you say?"

"Karakraotone,"

"Far, termea seaya?"

"Aleak," Karzon said and Link eyed Zelda. She smiled and whispered.

"It's the Shika talk, He said Ganondorf, she said He's the one in the legend, and he said, yes," Zelda explained to him, she had spent a bit of time learning about the Shika with Impa and was getting better at reading and understanding the old Shika talk.

"But Ganon? No one can get into the Chamber of time but Link," Impa pointed out and Karzon crunched his hands into fist. Impa knew she had hit the soft spot. Why Karzon had the hatred he did for Link. Karzon bit down on his lip, Impa must have forgotten this legend when she went to Hyrule. Or had not even heard about it.

Impa eyed him, she wanted him to tell her, as a Shika with an honest mind as he did. She did not feel the need to read his mind again. His little act was nothing more then to prove he could be as strong as they were.

"Thats why I must protect Princess Zelda," Karzon said "He's just as the legend told Great Impa! The Savior of Hyrule will be the destroyer of it!"

"Karzon, I know you are really uptight in the legends and everything, but if Impa's not worried then you should not be worried either. Link would never do anything to hurt me. If you are to protect me, you must understand and learn to trust everyone I do," Zelda said crossing her arms. A chill ran down her back, as she though of the evil idea of Link turning on her. Impa had told her many of times, that all Shika legends were true. The Legends met almost everything in the world to the Shika. But Zelda would have never imaged that Impa had not heard of this legend, she had heard the first part, but she had left the tribe before the rest was read.

"The Princess is very wise Karzon, she would know if Link was up to no good, She was the one who figured it out when Ganon was up to no good. Trust in our Princess," Impa said and Karzon nodded rather slowly. As the rest of the legend was told to Impa by Karzon. She had read his mind, she knew he was a true Shika. So he could not have made that last part up on his own. Impa shook her head, she could not believe it though, the faith in Zelda was much stronger.

"Your faith is her is more powerful then the faith of the Shika?" Karzon asked rather softly like it had hurt him. Karzon placed his hands on his hips as he waited for Impa's answer. He knew she was not going to answer him. Karzon never though that Impa coming to Hyrule would change her thoughts about being a Shika. Great stories were told to him about Impa.

"Link, Karzon please escort the princess back to the castle," Impa said bitterly as she looked at the sun. She could not answer the painful question. Either way she'd lose, finally lose. When Zelda and Link did not move Impa shot them a sideways glance.

"But Impa-"

"Zelda I will not here another word of it, Link can take you to see the Kokiri children tomorrow, I don't not want to displease your father, remember what happened last time?" Impa snapped, she hardly ever snapped at Zelda. It was either Link or someone else that got under her skin. She turned back towards the entrance of the Kokiri Village. She started walking away leaving the three of them together in strange silent scene.

"We better go now, come on, and Link your taking me tomorrow or-"

"Or what?" Link teased trying to lighten his own mood. He never believe when peoples moods changed so quickly until it happened to him today. He would teas Angue for her saddened good days to sudden bad days. He made a mental note not to do it ever again.

"I'll ask Karzon to take me," Zelda smirked, now she had a way of getting Link to do things. She felt the tension between the two of them, it was a mean why to get him to do stuff. But Zelda was not one of the worlds greatest beggars.

"What!" Link yelped, even knowing she was just kidding around. Link ruffled Zelda's hair as she started laughing. She laughed mainly because there was not major threat anymore and she needed to get read of the tension and stress. She lacked herself onto Links arm as they just sat and laughed for a moment.

"Yes you'll come with me wont you Karzon?" Zelda looked back that Karzon and his face turned a bright red but the expression changed not one bit. Zelda then stopped laughing and really took in what Karzon had said and how strangely Impa was asking. Karzon may not have been a threat but there was something about what he said that scared her.

"Anywhere you ask to go Princess Zelda, I'd be happy to escort you there," Karzon said and Link frowned, he had not liked Karzon sence he first Kicked Impa and he was not going to start growing found of him either. Link was also not to thrilled when he told them the Legend.

"Back off Buddy," Link said just trying to forget almost everything right now all he need to concentrate on was to get Zelda home, and on time. They were not going to make it back in time at this rate. "I'll call Epona, would you like that Zelda?"

"Sure but Link," Zelda looked at Karzon again. That strange feeling sweaped over her again as she lightly took hold of Links shirt sleeve.

"No but's I'll have you home soon," Link pulled out his ocarina and played a special song Malon had tough him to call Epona. He simply called the song `Epona's song'. When he finished the song he put the Ocarina away and within a fracture of seconds Epona came walking towards them. Link Patted the horses head before jumping onto her back. He the held his hand out to Zelda.

The Ocarina Link had was called the Ocarina of time. There were many magical melodies over the land of Hyrule. He would play them every now and then for Zelda or anyone else who wanted to here them. Zelda's favorite had been the Minuet of the Forest.

Zelda looked at Link who was sitting on the back of his horse. She wanted so much to read his mind. To know what he was thinking. What was he trying to do or prove right now? That he had the power to call a horse, or that he could ride a horse. Zelda was mainly confused because every time she though Link was going to do or say something. He usually did or said something totally different.

"Link what about Karzon?" Zelda asked before taking Links hand. The best way to find out what he was thinking was to question him. He pulled Zelda up with one good pull. She sat Side saddle in front of Link.

"I'm sure he could, Um, just disappear and reappear at the castle any ways," Link said with a smile towards Karzon who just glared evilly at Link, the first time he changed his expression in a few minutes. Before Zelda could explain to him that Shika could not do long distance travel like that he kicked off and Epona went running towards the Castle.

"Link there was no need to be rude," Zelda said sighing deeply, she kind of felt bad for him.

"Well, I don't call it being rude Zelda, simply pay back for him kicking me. At lest I did not kick him back," Link said simply and Zelda wished that Karzon has not made his entrance like that. But every time she thought of Karzon her mind shot back to him saying "The one who saved Hyrule will be the one to destroy it." Then thinking about Ganon being free scared her even more.

"What are you thinking about Zelda?" Link asked, another person who wished he could read minds. Zelda leaned back on Link, she had to find the right was to say this with out upsetting Link. The Poor boy had grown up family-less, with not one to share emotions with he kind of got a bit emotional over the years. Or it was just he hung around a lot of women.

"About what Karzon said."

"You think I'm going to destroy Hyrule?" Zelda sighed, thats not what she wanted him to think. But if he said that, she knew he must have been thinking about Karzon said as well. At lest there were more people on the same page as she was on right now.

"Link....the Shika are never...never wrong...." Zelda added. Or at least Impa was never wrong. And Sence Impa was never wrong it was kind of stupid to start saying she was wrong. Impa had told her Shika never lied, it was in their blood, and if they did, a few days later they would end up confessing. Thats why Link failed to mention to Impa for Zelda's last birthday, that they were planning a surprise.

"Whoa! Slow down Epona!" Link said pulling on Epona's reins and Epona came to a stop in front of the Hyrule Castle town bridge. The bridge was long, wooden and very stable. It was fast to move up, and even quicker to move in a downward motion. It came in very handy to have a bridge like that. The Hyrule Castle, and Castle town were surrounded by a large grayish white stone wall. So when the bridge when up, no one got in or out. Not only was that built there in case of a war, but it was put there to keep out the Skull kids. "So you think I'm going to turn on you, kill you even?"

"Link, I can't answer that...."

"Why not?" Link asked rather shocked on my Zelda had responded the way she did. That was the first time she had ever told him she could not answer a question.

"Because I don't know how! I don't know who to believe! Like I said the Shika are never wrong, and I believe you would never ever hurt me, it does not make sence, I need time to think, sort things out," Zelda said looking up at Link. Was it that she had hurt his feelings. He looked hurt, very hurt, Zelda bit down on her bottom lip as he remarked to her comment.

"You need to sort this out because you don't believe in me Zelda, I can't believe that you trust me if you don't now," Link said still a little shaken at her response.

"I do believe you! I really do..."

"But...why don't you, Zelda tell me why don't you trust me?"

"Your the only one in Hyrule history who , has saved it!" She reminded him, she pushed away from him the slid off Epona's back. She cupped her hands over her heart and sighed again but this time it was much deeper.

"So you automatically going to believe some stranger? You met the guy for five minutes, but you wont even trust me, someone you've known almost all you life?" Link was getting a peeved at the idea of Karzon just appearing out of no where and gained Zelda's trust so easily. He jumped off Epona as well and patted her back then walked after Zelda. He was not going to let this go unsolved.

"He's a Shika!"

"I though Shika were only women? He could be lying Zelda and you'd still believe him! Just because he said he was a Shika! Would you believe me if I said I was a Shika?"

"Link stop it! Why are you not understanding! You should be the one who trust in me like Impa said to Karzon the same rule applies to you as well, just trust me! And Impa would have know right away if he was a Shika or not! I don't know why there is a male Shika but there is!" Zelda said, this was not the time for her to be fighting with Link. This was also the last thing she wanted to do. She wished over and over in her head that there was no such legend as the one she head to day. But her wish was not coming true. It was still written in all the Shika codes, planted in their brains.

"How can I trust you if you don't trust me?"

"Look! I want to say your innocent I want to say your the greatest person in the world Link. I want to say everything in my power to make you happy but I can't!" Zelda yelled at him, she turned sharply away from him and started waking across the bridge. If this was the only way to stop fighting. To turn and walk away from the one person who probably needed her the most right now, she was going to do it. She meant what she said. She loved Link with all her heart but these things just can't be let go of. If the Legend was really serious, she had to find out when and why it would happen.

"So, I bet now your positive that I'm going to destroy Hyrule huh?" Link said and Zelda stopped walking, she tried to take another step but her foot would not move. She placed her right hand on her face and tried not to cry. Was this his cry for help? She needed to walk away she needed time to think. But her emotions got in the way of her thinking. She turned back around and took a deep breath. Her eyes got all watery as she just looked at him. Why was he doing this to her? He needed her but this was not the way to go about doing it.

"Stop....stop hurting me...." Zelda said with out realizing what she had said, Links eyes widened, he was hurting her. Not physically but mentally, was he really going to destroy his home, the place he lived all his life. The people grew up with. But if he did not relies how he was hurting Zelda how would he relies he was distorting his home, his life, his world.

"Zelda, I'm sorry, I did not relies I was hurting you...I just wanted to know," Link said as he looked down at his hands, would these be the destruction of everything? When Link told Zelda this she then finally understood what came out of her mouth. She just spat it out with out thinking, you could control your wisdom, but it was much harder to control what you were feeling.

"Link, no I'm sorry."

"I'm hurting you?"

"NO!" Zelda yelled as she ran over to him and embraced Link. "No your not, your not hurting me." Zelda pleaded, why was this happening? She gripped ever so tightly onto the back of Links shirt. Her tears rolled on to his shirt. Zelda was hurting in side, she had to find away to help him.

"But you just said I was?"

"I'm a little confused right now, my thoughts are jumbled, Link you would never hurt me," Zelda said letting go of him and then taking his right hand and placed it on her cheek. A few tears streamed down her face on to it. The tears felt Ice cold on Links finger tips. There was to much to take in right now. Zelda just wanted to stop thinking.

"Zelda...you can't...trust me anymore....Impa was right, you are wise, and I guess it would be wise for you to stay away from me, the legend it makes sence, I wont kill you pyciscaly but mentally and Hyrule will be destroyed because of your death, because of me," Link said as he stepped back away from Zelda. He did not get to far because she still had his hand on her cheek. To stop time right about now would have been wonderful.

"Link no..." Zelda said, "It was not that I did not trust you, its that... that when I was younger Shika told me another legend, hundreds of years old. It went like this, the Princess of a great land would soon be filled with hardships and paths she must fallow to save her people. But she could not do it alone, when the princess felt like giving up the hero came and helped her. Saved her land, the hero would go threw more hardships afterwards because he loved the princess and no matter what would stand by her side. The Hero was always there for her and together the risked to the top, and lived together and died together."

"Is that why-?"

"Yes this is so confusing, Shika are never wrong and yet I have two different legends, that go in different directions. One legend says you'll kill me and the other one says...you love me," Zelda said and Link sighed this time. He kind of understood what she was going threw. As he just took in what Zelda said, and then what Karzon said, it was very confusing.

"Well for the record, I don't want to kill you," Link smiled as he bent over and kissed Zelda. For that moment the world was washed away. Zelda loosed up on Links hand. Even though what she had been going threw for the past few minutes fighting with Link. She would have never gave up being Zelda to anyone.

"E-hem?" Karzon said walking up to the bridge as well, Link pulled away from Zelda stood upright, rolling his eyes. "It's getting late Princess."

"EP! Fathers going to be so mad!" Zelda said, but she smiled, that was the least bit of her worries right now. Her father yelling at her. She just wanted to be trapped in that moment again where nothing mattered. But when Karzon snapped them back into reality all the worries came back.

"Don't worry I'll get you there," Link said as he bent over slightly and picked up Zelda. He still could, never understand. Maybe it was just him. His honest word was, he would never try to hurt her again. She was like a flower in the middle of a horse race track. So fragile and beautiful. He leaned his head against her as she wrapped her arms around his neck to it would be simpler for him to carry her.

"Link I can walk," Zelda said softly, but she did not mind being held either, she was going to thing and sort threw this legend thing when Impa came back to the castle. Impa would be able to help her threw this because she was a Great Shika. And Talking to her might make it less tense saying all the pressure would not be on her and her mind.

"But I can run a lot faster," Link whispered back to Zelda and she smiled. He always had a reason for doing the things he did. Thats what she loved the most about him. Link then started to sprint off across the bridge yet again Leaven Karzon alone. Impa came walking up to the bridge, she stopped when she reached Karzons side. She was laughing lightly, which caught his attention, he did not know what these people found so funny half the time.

"Those two you just want to beat them with sticks," Impa said smiling brightly and fixing her hair again. Karzon looked over at Impa and smiled a little.

"Sticks was not the thing I was thinking of, do they any ways fight or is today just Special?" Karzon asked, He took off his head gear to show all of his hair. It was a bit messy from being under it all day. He had walked long and far to get to Hyrule. Then finding Princess Zelda was another thats all in it's own.

"How long did you listen on to their conversation?"

"Long enough. Zelda was talking about the Shika legends? The legend you told and the one I heard...they clash," Karzon said and Impa put a friendly hand upon his shoulder. He looked up at her and she smiled down at him. "Shika legends are never wrong, I don't understand."

"Thats why they do not call you Great Karzon, there is much for you to learn as a Shika before you can surpass me Karzon, everyone gets a lucky kick in once and a while," Impa said as she let go of him and started walking across the bridge, The bridge started to rise for the night. Karzon inhaled then exhaled deeply before jumping up on the bridge so not to be left out all night. He Slid down the bridge and ran after Impa.

"So your saying, Both legends are going to come true?" Karzon questioned Impa. Impa crossed her arms and if she was in a though. Karzon just waited patently for her to answer him. The air was starting to get chilly, shops were closing and people were packing up for the day. The very busy Castle town was almost dead at night. Hardly anyone went out once the bridge went up.

"If Shika legends always come true, then they both have to come true Young Shika," She said as they walked threw the castle town. As Impa walked past people waved, telling her good night or I'll see you in the morning. Some of them got down on their knees as she walked past. Impa waved back, and sometimes calling out some of the peoples names.

Then some of them Look at Karzon in aw. One Shika is Hyrule as a gift, a second one was a miracle. And then when they noticed he was a boy they were more shocked and amazed. The whispers were loud enough o her. And lucky for Karzon, they were all good.

"But it does not make any sence!" Karzon said trying to ignore the towns people. He wanted to figure this out. He realized why Zelda was so confused about this whole ordeal.

"Not all things make sence but they happen don't they? Like Link and Princess Zelda could never understand how you disappear and reappeared like that, it did not make seance, but if you show it to them, step by step everything would make sence some together. Do you understand?" Impa said trying to put this as simple as she could so Karzon could understand. Impa did not know how these two legends were going to pay together. But she knew they were going to happen.

"Yes but I can't wait for this to play out! What if Zelda is in danger? We have to do something!" Karzon said, he was getting a bit frustrated with the old Shika, he just wanted answers. Impa sensed this but said nothing, he was not ready yet, Impa started to wonder why they let him leave the Shika Village or where ever he came from.

Impa left her Shika Village when she was a teenager, nineteen years ago. They Village was in shambles. They had just gotten finished with a war, she wanted to help stay, fix it up. But Her best friend needed medical care, and they best, closet pace they could go was Hyrule. There was not fighting going on in Hyrule, or so Impa had though.

She had also visited Hyrule may of times before, so she knew she and her friend would get the medical care they needed. Impa though for sure her Village had been destroyed when they left, but it must not have been, of Karzon said he was from her village.

"Karzon, have you ever been able to change Legend?" Impa asked getting a bit impatient with him. He had not pay close mind to her words. He was more difficult to deal with the Link was. Impa gazed at Karzon Sharply, she knew this was not how he normally acted. If he was around more Shika's.

"No," Karzon said a bit baffled.

"Then there you go." Impa said and Karzons mouth dropped open as he stopped walking. He was just as confused about Impa's actions as she was about his. Impa stopped as well. He looked like he was going to say some thing. So Impa waited for him to say it, spit it out.

"You just going to let the Princess die?"

"Karzon!" Impa said grabbing his shoulder tightly and yanking him towards her. That had done it, she had just about had it with Karzon. She wanted to smack him around a bit. Let everything sink into his head. "I will do everything in my power to see Princess Zelda is safe! Do you not pay any attention when I speak! All my efforts all, yours and Links efforts wont matter, we cant change a legend! Do you understand! Do as you wish Karzon but a true Shika knows their place! Learn yours and accept it! Your are not the Hyrule hero so stop sticking your nose where it does not belong."

"Great Impa...please Forgive me..." Karzon said looking away from her. He had really displeased Impa this time. She was a great Shika, he knew it but this was weird. He had never dealt with anything like this so far in his life. He wished Impa would understand him a bit more.

"You can't be forgiven every time you mess up Child, so you better clean up your act," Impa said letting him go with a small push. She turned and started walking away, she put a smile back on and waved to some more people. Karzon watched as Impa walked out of Hyrule castle town and onto the dirt path leading to the castle.

Impa had made Karzon feel weak, telling him he did not know his place was harsh. He was just extremely worried. He also had not told Impa the real reason why he was here. He was sent to see if she was still alive. Along with that, if she was not alive he was to protect the princess.

"If we can't change Legends then why is he the Hyrule hero...?" Karzon sat down on the side of the water fountain. He was not about to go up to the castle tell Impa cooled down. He never though any Shika could get as mad as Impa had just been towards him. `Is it weird for her...to be around me?' Karzon thought, if he had come from a tribe of all men of Shika and found a woman Shika, he's feel a little weird as well. He fan his worn fingers threw his hair as most of the people had gone into their house and closed the shops. Lights were turning off and there were only a few vices that could be heard from where he sat.

"Mommy can we please look in the Temple of time! Please!" A little girl said in a pleading tone to her mother. Karzon looked up at the little girl and her mother. Her mother let out a deep sigh. She picked up the little girl and smiled. She spun in a circle as the little girl started laughing. Then she hugged her mother around her neck.

"All right, but were not going tomorrow," The mother said as she started to walk off to a temple. Karzons eyes widen in fear. He had not know the temple was so close to the castle. Ganon was trapped in the Temple, in the Chamber of time behind the alter of time. Why were they Keeping the princess so close to the person who wanted her dead.

The temple really did not look like one. Thats why he had not noticed it in the first place. It looked like a gigantic church in the back streets of the castle town. The extremely tall walls that seamed to be made out of white marble. The large stain glass windows.
"They are all crazy here!" Karzon said after studding the temple, he stood up from his sitting place and started walking towards the Temple of time. He has to see for himself where the Great oh mighty powerful Ganon was held captive.

He followed the little girl and her mother past a few buildings and up two fights of stairs. Dark shadows were not being cast every where. As the wind blew gently across his arms, legs and face. He understood why no one liked to come out at night. The castle town was very frightening. He figured he should not be scared if the little girl nor her mother was not frightened. Everything was peaceful, just with a creepy look to it. He had nothing to worry about, so he though.

The Doors of the Temple of time were enormous with carvings in them of people, of the past present and why they though the future. The girls mother held the door open for him as he walked in. He thanked her then looked around. There were candles lit all around the temple so that the visitors could come and go to the temple at any time of the day or night they liked.

He got a better view of the huge stain glass windows, on the stone walls. There were a few chairs here and there for visitors to sit down. He walked up three more steps then threw another large door. He came into a more magnificent room that had the most candles in them. On the floor was a small octagon plattue with the medallion of light carved into it. Then a few feet away from it was the Alter of Time. One with three spiritual stones and the ocarina of time, could only open the Stone door. And behind the door was the master sword and the lost Sprit of Ganon.

BANG! Karzon jumped back a few feet as another loud crashing bang hit against he door that held Ganon a prisoner. Karzon felt his heart racing a million miles per second. was Ganon trying to brake out of his prison? That had to be the scariest thing he had ever heard in a long time, the only thing that had got his heart racing like that. He wondered how the people lived with all that noise, maybe thats why they went inside, of fear of Ganon. He turned around to here the little girl who came in with her mother, they were both laughing, it must have scared them as well, but he was sure they were used to it, or were expecting it to happen. He found nothing funny about that at all, an enraged sprit trying to brake free form his cage. That was not a laughing matter. He turned back towards the door and walked up to the Alter of time. There was another loud crashing bang. He jumped away from the alter.

`Shika....' Karzon looked up in fear at the door. `Shika, ...too...night....tonight...Shika'

"Tee Hee."

"Whoa!" Karzon yelled as he jumped to side. He put his hand over his heart trying to stop it from pounding out of his chest. He took a note never to come in this Temple ever again. Not at night nor in the day time.

"Am I really that scary?" A girl said, she had on a sparkling smile on her face. Her hair was red and went done to the middle of her back, she had dark blue eyes as well. She looked like she worked on a farm. She had a brown bag over her shoulder and she looked a bit tired.

"Oh no...you just startled me..." Karzon said a little embarrassed, first he hears a strange voice, a banging and a girl sneaks up on him. He looked at her, had she heard that voice? And if she did was she scared of it or not? She did not look to frightened just tired.

"First time at this Temple?" She asked taking the bag off her shoulder and putting it on the ground. She then she dusted off her skirt. Karzon wondered why she was doing that, it did not look dirty at all.

"Well, yeah," He said as his heart started to go back down to it's normal rate. It had been his first time in Hyrule in general. He hoped there was no other place in Hyrule like this.

"I was scared my first time back, after Ganon was sealed. Very scary man held behind those walls. I come to pray every now and then, thanking what ever it is keeping that horrid man in there, I saw you out side. Great Impa yelling at you too?" She asked as she leaned on the alter looking at the incantations of the spiritual stones. The stones had all gone back to their owners, to make sure no one was to opened the door again.

"I learned not to question her..." Karzon said and the girl laughed at him again. He did not think being yelled at was funny either, but I he guessed it would be funny to someone who was not being yelled at by Impa.

"Your a Shika?"

"How'd you know?" Karzon asked and the girl smiled, that was a dumb question and he meant it as sarcastic as he could. He took a deep breath his nerves finally calm once again.

"I've only seen a few Shika in my days and you defiantly look like one. I asked because your a, man," She said and Karzon smiled slightly back at her. So maybe her question was not as stupid as it sounded after all.

"Right, well just like the Gerudos, there is a Male Shika born ever decade or so," Karzon said as he pulled a small pendent out of his shirt. Thats what he was told any ways. He have never met with the Gerudos. But His Village chief told him so. "It's my curse."

To keep the Shika tribes alive, once in a while a Shika would go out and either get married or have a child. But when they first became a Shika they were sprinkled with magical dust. So that when they had a child it would be a girl, and that baby would grow up and learn the Shika ways. So their way of life would never die out.

Karzon always wondered how he managed to come out a boy. But his mother would always tell him he was special. And should be very proud of it. The was also loved by the chief, saying only one boy was born ever hundred of years, they said it was nice to have a man around. But even though they loved him and he was great friends with all the tribe members, his mother refused him of getting married within the tribe. It was wrong and never should happen. Thats another reason why they sent him to find Great Impa.

"Do people bug you about it? I mean, Ganon was the only male Gerudo and look at him now," She said and another loud bang echoed threw the Temple. Karzon jumped slightly, but not as he did the first time. He though about what the girl had said and looked at the door of time. Perfect, it really must have been a curse, if Ganon was the only male Gerudo.

"I'm nothing like him," Karzon said as the girl took hold of his pendent. Karzon hoped he was nothing like Ganon. He had never met the guy, he did not want to either.

"You really are a Shika, whoa...I though you guys were anti-talk-to-people?" She said, thinking abut Great Impa. Impa only talked to a few people. She waved sometimes but that was about it. She had never seam Impa talk as much as she did when she saw her yelling at Karzon.

"The Women are `anti-talk-to-people' my other curse I talk to much," The girl laughed again and this time made Karzon smile bigger then he was before. At least the girl was laughing at him and not yelling at him. He could not take being yelled at anymore for the rest of the day. "I never got your name."

"My name is Malon! Daughter of Talon, co-owner of the Lon Lon Ranch, whats your name Shika man?" Malon teased him as she dropped the pendent back into his shirt, he blushed a little.

Malon was the only daughter of her father Talon. She was going to have anther sister or brother, but her mother had died before the birth. So it was hard on Malon and Talon when she died, because not only did the lose someone the loved dearly but they lost someone else who had not even began to live.

Malon's father was a bit lazy, she even admitted it. She thought it was just because of what happened to her mother. But he'd sleep a lot and hardly help out with the Ranch. So he hired some help. But not even he was much Help. But Malon did not care, she loved taking care of the Animals. Then Link and Zelda would come help her sometimes, so it was all good.

"Karzon, It was nice to meet you Malon, but I got to be heading to the castle," Karzon said as he bowed and Malon smiled even brighter then she did when he first saw her. One he stood up right again Malon took hold of Karzons arm.

"He was right!" Malon said, she would have started jumping around if she was not holding on to Karzon's arm.

"Who was right?"

"The Oracle of Healing! He told me another Shika would come to protect the princess with Link, when he said Shika I though he meant a woman," Malon said and Karzon shook his head sadly. Malon did not understand why he looked so sad and she looked so happy.

"I bet he was talking about Great Impa, I can't even last a few minutes with out getting yelled at," Karzon said as he pulled his arm away from Malon.

"The great Impa is already here! He said the Shika would come...here!" Malon said again. Karzon started to walk away, Malon picked up her bag and walked after him.

"I don't think it me, sorry Malon, but I really go to go now...before I get yelled at again," Karzon said as he started to walk away from the Alter. Another booming crash making him jump up in the air. He heard Malon start laughing. He smiled slightly then headed for the exit of the Temple of Time.

Malon stood there with her smile. She was going to head for the bombchu shop for the night. She turned towards the alter. She let out a small yelp as all three Spiritual stones were shining on the alter in their right position. She covered her mouth. They had not been there when she came in here looking for Karzon.

Then slowly and steadily, the song of time began to play. Malon looked around as her heart started pounding in her chest. She looked at the big stone door that held Ganon, there was a crack in it. She took a step back, tripping over her back foot she fell backwards on the ground. Her breathing got more heavy as the song kept playing.

A black mist started to full the room, blowing out all the candles. Malon slipped her bag off her shoulder and slowly climbed to her feet as a figure started to form out of the mist. Malon walked as slowly as she could towards the door. She felt the hard wood with her finger tips and pushed the door opened slowly as the figure started to look sold.

Malon ran out of the door and slammed it shut behind her. A strong laughter started to full the temple of time. Malon looked around then spotted the exit of the temple, she took a deep breath and ran for the door. The door behind her busted open. The dark figure ran threw the door then jumped into the air landing in font of Malon.

He pushed her down with one motion of her hand. All the candles blew out in this room as well before Malon had a chance to look at the persons face. She scooted back a few feet away from the person. The only thing she could see was a glowing blue light flying around in the darken room.

"Don't worry about her fool, she can't.....do anything... kill Zelda....." A weary voice rang threw the temple. The figure turned away from Malon and walked towards the exit of the temple. The doors blew open and the figure disappear. Malon sat there for a moment before returning to her feet. The candles one by one started lighting up again. Malon turned slowly to the open door that lead to the Alter of time. She walked to it slowly not knowing if it was the smartest thing in the world to do at the moment.

"Oh my god!" Malon screamed as the stone door that held Ganon, was opened.
